Q Killing The Mockingbird Media

EPIC TUCKER CARLSON: Can the Left Lead a Country they Hate? (VIDEO)

There is not a single voice on television recently that has a better grasp on American culture and current affairs than Tucker Carlson.

Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue is something you dare not miss.

On Monday night, after another weekend of leftist rioting, statue destruction and verbal assaults on this country and its citizens, Tucker Carlson asked the obvious question on the modern day left — Can they lead a country they hate?

Today’s Democrat Party is not just satisfied with talking down the country, they want to replace it with some sort of Marxist state. This should frighten anyone who has ever read a book on 20th century failed states.

Washington Post Says Washington and Lee University MUST CHANGE ITS NAME because Washington “Perpetrated Racial Terror” — So What About the Washington Post?

Nearly three years ago in August 2017 President Trump warned that Democrats will soon be taking down Washington and Jefferson statues.

Trump called it.

President Trump: George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to now take down, excuse me. Are we going to take down statues of George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him? OK, good. Are we going to take down his statue because he was a major slave owner? Now, are we going to take down his statue?Trump was right.

The leftist mob tore down a Thomas Jefferson statue at Jefferson High School in Portland in June.

Leftists have defaced several Washington and even Lincoln statues across the country.

Daily Coronavirus Deaths in U.S. Continue to Plummet as Confirmed Cases Hit Record Levels

Coronavirus-linked deaths across the U.S. continued on a downward trend as of Monday afternoon, even after the country hit historic levels in the number of new confirmed cases late last week, a Breitbart News analysis of the seven-day average of fatalities showed.

Health experts have warned about the lag between infection identification and death that could take weeks or more, which means the fatalities could increase down the road. The current spike in the number of cases intensified almost three weeks ago around mid-June.

A moving average of cases and deaths reported each day provides a clearer picture of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic because the daily numbers tend to fluctuate.

As of Monday, the seven-day average of deaths in the United Statescontinued to plunge, according to data maintained by the COVID-Tracking Project, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, USAFacts.org, Worldometer, and even the New York Times.

Our daily update is published. Six states (AR/CT/KS/KY/NH/RI) did not report by our publish time today. Based on past numbers, it looks like many more states reduced testing and reporting over the holiday weekend.

Last Sunday (July 5), the U.S. recorded a historically low single-day number of fatalities (over 200), below any other day since late March, data from the COVID-Tracking Project showed, echoing figures by Worldometer.

BLM Teacher Says 2+2 Only Equals 4 Because Of "Western Imperialism"

A Black Lives Matter-supporting teacher took to Twitter to assert that 2+2 only = 4 because of “western imperialism.”

Yes, really.

Brittany Marshall’s tweet went viral after she claimed during the course of a discussion about racism, “Nope the idea of 2 + 2 equaling 4 is cultural and because of western imperialism/colonization, we think of it as the only way of knowing.”

Marshall, who includes her pronouns in her bio, lists her occupation as “teacher, scholar, social justice change agent” and apparently is studying for a PhD at Rutgers.

People like this are a reason why there’s a need for written instructions on shampoo bottles.

Also, she’s a teacher. pic.twitter.com/yDbi3mU9PH— Garbage Human (@GarbyJooman2020) July 7, 2020

Her bizarre statement is yet another example of Intersectionality, the pseudo-intellectual garbage feminist notion taught in all major universities that racism and sexism are prevalent throughout all areas of society and are intertwined.

In this case, Marshall appears to be arguing that maths itself is racist, an argument that has been made by numerous social justice warriors down the years, some of whom question why ‘Western Math’ is in common use and not other methods such as the way Aborigines count (maybe because we’re western and not Aborigine).

SICK. Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo Mock Rising Violence, Shootings and Deaths in Democrat-Run Cities

In the last six weeks six Democrat-led cities accounted for 600 violent deaths.

After explaining that the coronavirus and the economy were not the most pressing issues in the US today, Kevin McCullough at Townhall reported earlier this week in an op-ed on this horrific trend in America’s cities:

The single most important issue, affecting some of the largest swaths of populations in America, is the scandal the media ignores even as it explodes in our faces.

In only six weeks, city after city operated by entrenched Democrats have seen a massive expansion in lawlessness, violence, and murder. Stunningly, many news outlets seem gobsmacked and mystified at how or why such an explosion of lawlessness has occurred.

Another day, another hate hoax…

Umatilla County commissioner candidate Jonathan Lopez admitted this week he faked the hate mail he posted on his facebook page.

Lopez posted the hateful letter filled with racist, homophobic and misogynist slurs.
What a nut.

And Lopez said he served in the US Coast Guard.
It was another lie and violation of the Stolen Valor Act.

KOMO News reported:
A man who claimed he received a hate-filled, racist letter from an anonymous person allegedly wrote the letter himself, Hermiston Police say.

Chief Jason Edmiston tells KEPR-TV News that the criminal investigation for second-degree intimidation due to the racist, hate-filled letter received by Jonathan Lopez on June 23 has been closed. 53% Of Restaurants Closed During COVID-Lockdown Have Shuttered Permanently, Yelp Data Shows

New research from Yelp shows that as of June 15, there were nearly 140,000 total business closures on the website since March 1. When compared to similar research released in April, which showed more than 175,000 business closures, these latest numbers indicate that more than 20% of businesses closed in April have reopened.

In March, restaurants had the highest numbers of business closures listed on the app compared to other industries, and the rate of closure has remained high. Of the businesses that closed, 17% are restaurants, and 53% of those restaurant closures are indicated as permanent on Yelp. Retail, however, is the hardest hit overall.

During the peak of the pandemic, the number of diners seated across Yelp Reservations and Waitlist dropped essentially to zero. In early June, numbers of diners seated are down 57% of pre-pandemic levels.

Predictions about the restaurant industry’s fate in a post-pandemic world have been abundant throughout the crisis. The National Restaurant Association estimated that 15% of restaurants could close, while Barclay’s estimate is more optimistic, predicting approximately 10% of restaurants will shutter permanently.

Omar Faces Ethics Outcry Over Payments To Husband After Decrying Those Who Profit From Our "System Of Oppression"

Rep. Ilhan Omar has been much in the news for her extreme positions on defunding police departments and yesterday calling for the dismantling of not just the American economy but the political system.

In declaring her support for sweeping legislation yesterday, Omar railed against the American economic and political systems as a “system of oppression” and insisted that we cannot allow people to “prioritize profit without considering who is profiting.”

That question however is now being raised in growing ethical concerns over Omar giving her husband’s company a massive amount of her campaign funds.

The two stories show once again that the only defining element in Washington greater than irony is hypocrisy in both of our political parties.

The ethical charges are being voiced by figures like George Bush’s ethic adviser Richard Painter who has been one of the most vocal critics of President Donald Trump. Indeed, Painter previously criticized Omar after she declared that she believes former Vice President Joe Biden is a rapist who is continuing to lie about raping a Senate staffer. However, she is still supporting and advising Biden in his presidential election. Painter objected that Omar would publicly admit that she believed Biden raped his staffer because it could undermine his election.

Painter is now focused on what is clearly a legitimate ethical concern. He is quoted as saying payments like those of Omar “should not be allowed... given the amount of money that goes into these campaigns from special interests.”

Omar has previously been criticized for paying fees to Tim Mynett’s consulting firm when they were rumored to be in a romantic relationship. Mynett and Omar would later divorce their respective spouses and marry. Omar has given Mynett a total of more than $878,000 since 2018. That includes $189,000 just weeks after the couple announced they were married, according to media reports citing data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

What should upset voters the most is that (so long as the payment reflect a very generous standard of market rates) this is all perfectly legal under the laws designed by politicians for themselves.

Biden Says Police Have “Become the Enemy” and Calls For Defunding the Police (VIDEO)

Joe Biden on Wednesday fully embraced the defund the police movement.

77-year-old Biden stumbled his way through an interview with health care activist Ady Barkan.

Ady Barkan was diagnosed with terminal amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2016 and speaks through a computer voice.

Biden went all in and caved to radical leftists like Ilhan Omar and AOC and said he “absolutely” supports taking away funding from police departments across the country.

Biden also said that the police have “become the enemy.”

“Surplus military equipment for law enforcement. They don’t need that! The last thing you need is an up-armored Humvee coming into a neighborhood just like the military invading!” Biden said. “They don’t know anybody! They have become the enemy — they’re supposed to be protecting these people.”

This Is a Good Time to Be a Government Worker

The June blockbuster jobs report is more evidence that the economy is healing, but this remains a brutal period for the some 30 million still unemployed Americans.

Nearly every industry -- with very few exceptions -- has been forced to impose layoffs, furloughs or dramatic reductions in hours for its employees. The one major exception has been the United States federal government, which has had virtually no layoffs since the start of the year. Since January, federal employment has risen slightly, in part due to Census workers added. Meanwhile, through May, the construction industry has lost nearly 400,000 workers; manufacturing has lost 750,000 workers; retail trade has lost 1.25 million workers; health care and education have lost 1.75 million workers, and the hospitality industry has lost almost 5 million workers.

So much for draining the swamp. The one group of workers who have suffered no loss of wages, salaries or benefits is federal employees.

Why no federal layoffs? Some are involved with health care, safety and other vital jobs related to fighting the pandemic. But there are hundreds of thousands of federal workers at agencies such as the Departments of Education, Energy, Agriculture and so on whose activities are nonessential. Most of these workers have not shown up in the office for three months now, but they keep getting full paychecks. That's why they call it Club Fed.

Trump rips CDC, threatens school funding

President Trump on Wednesday threatened to cut off federal funding for schools if they do not resume in-person learning this fall and criticized a top government health agency for being too tough with its guidelines to aid that process.

"The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families. May cut off funding if not open!" Trump tweeted.

In a separate tweet, Trump said he disagreed with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) "on their very tough & expensive guidelines for opening schools. While they want them open, they are asking schools to do very impractical things. I will be meeting with them!!!"'

Donald Trump gets Supreme Court victories on contraception, schools

President Donald Trump scored wins at the Supreme Court on Wednesday after suffering an uneven slate of decisions this summer, as the court issued rulings supporting a Trump administration rollback of an Obamacare contraception mandate and backing church schools' ability to fire employees.

But the court has yet to issue a ruling on a pair of cases that most personally affect Trump – about whether the House and a New York prosecutor can get access to the president's tax return information.

In the Obamacare case, the high court ruled 7-2 the administration acted properly when it allowed more employers who cite a religious or moral objection to opt out of covering birth control.

Governor Hogan Directs State Board of Elections to Conduct November General Election With Enhanced Voting Options

Early Voting Centers, Polling Places Should Be Open; Absentee Ballot Request Applications Should Be Mailed To All Eligible VotersState Will Encourage Early Voting, Absentee Voting By Mail, and Voting At Off-Peak Times as Safe and Efficient OptionsApproach Will Maximize Participation and Minimize Confusion and Risk During COVID-19 PandemicState Pledges Staffing and PPE Support for Early Voting Centers and Polling Places
ANNAPOLIS, MDWith 118 days until the November general election, and given the State Board of Elections’ (SBE) failure to provide a recommendation on how to conduct the election, Governor Larry Hogan today directed the Board to follow existing state law and conduct the election with enhanced voting options in light of the COVID-19 pandemic:
  • Every early voting center should be open and every polling location should be open on Election Day to accommodate anyone who wishes to cast their ballot safely and in person.
  • To ensure that every Marylander who wants to vote by mail can vote by mail, SBE should promptly send out an absentee ballot request application to every eligible Maryland voter.
  • Every effort should be made to promote early voting, absentee voting by mail, and voting at off-peak times as safe and efficient options.
“The fundamental responsibility of the State Board of Elections is to conduct free and fair elections in a manner that facilitates maximum voter participation,” wrote Governor Hogan. “This approach—which is already fully authorized by existing state law—will maximize participation in the November election by offering voters more options while minimizing confusion and risk during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
In addition, the governor informed SBE that the state will encourage state employees to help supplement election staffing needs, and provide any necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). Polling places should follow CDC guidelines and public health protocols, and stress the importance of proper sanitization, physical distancing, and face coverings.
The governor urged the Board to avoid a politicized process as it moves forward.
“While I know you have been inundated with suggestions from political leaders in both parties and special interest groups to change the electoral process, this discussion should not be subject to undue partisanship or political influence,” wrote Governor Hogan. “Providing citizens with accessible, accountable, and transparent ways to cast their ballot is an essential component of our democratic republic and your primary responsibility.”

What Will Be The Most Desirable Status Symbols In The Greater Depression?

Virtue-signaling texts from your $100 million yacht no longer impress, they enrage.

For the past five decades, celebrities and other wealthy folks have sought conventional status signifiers / symbols: a couple hundred thousand acres of ranchland, a luxe bug-out bunker in New Zealand, a private islet in the Caribbean, a winery, a mega-million dollar yacht, a hip bistro in Manhattan or Santa Monica, a sprawling mansion, and so on.

The more civic-minded mega-millionaires donated enough dough to a university to get a building named after them (modesty is my middle name, etc.), funded a children's hospital or donated some of their couple hundred thousand acres of land to the Nature Conservancy or equivalent mainstream environmental group.

Now that the bogus "prosperity" of past 20 years has imploded, the nation is slip-sliding into the Greater Depression, and one consequence is that all these signifiers of obscene narcissism and ahem, privilege, will increasingly be viewed with extreme prejudice. (Look it up, along with the film Apocalypse Now.)

Put another way, all these signifiers of obscene narcissism will be, at a minimum, declasse, veering perilously close to gauche embarrassment.

Those $100 plates at the celeb's bistro and $90 bottles of wine at the celeb's winery may be chump-change to the top-5-percenter customers anxious to be seen in your establishment, but they're a whole day's pay or more to those with real jobs in the real American economy.

In the Great Depression, fantasy films about debonair, witty millionaires were viewed as escapist fare. (For example, The Thin Man who-dunnits). In the far more brittle and polarized Greater Depression we're entering, extremes of wealth and privilege will be more likely to spark outrage.

Once the tone-deaf celebs and super-wealthy awaken to this change in the zeitgeist, they will stage a land-rush into socially approved signifiers that will be designed to win the praise of social-media influencers while subtly distancing the celebs and super-wealthy from merely wealthy wannabe's. (Creating that class distinction is of course the entire point of status symbols: only the truly wealthy can afford it.

Seattle held 'segregated' training session on 'undoing whiteness,' encouraged staffers to forfeit 'guaranteed physical safety'

'Racism is not our fault but we are responsible,' one handout declared

The City of Seattle held a racially segregated employee training session aimed at White staffers and instructing them on "undoing your own whiteness" in order to be held accountable by people of color, according to documents obtained by a public records request.

The session took place on June 12, as protesters took part in the so-called "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" in the Capitol Hill district.

One handout distributed in the session reportedly declared how “racism is not our fault but we are responsible." Another said White staffers must give up “the land” and their “guaranteed physical safety” in order to be an “accomplice” for racial justice.

Christopher F. Rufo, an editor for City Journal and director of the Discovery Institute’s Center on Wealth and Poverty, said he filed a public records request regarding the training session. On Monday, he published copies of the materials distributed to employees in the session on his Twitter account.

According to his screenshots, the Office of Civil Rights hosted a two-and-a-half-hour “Training on Internalized Racial Superiority for White People.”

In the email invitation to the event, the office asked “city employees who identify as white to join this training to learn, reflect, challenge ourselves, and build skills and relationships that help us show up more fully as allies and accomplices for racial justice.”

“We’ll examine our complicity in the system of white supremacy – how we internalize and reinforce it – and begin to cultivate practices that enable us to interrupt racism in ways to be accountable to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) folks within our community,” the email invitation said.

NYPD limits retirement applications amid 411% surge this week

New York’s Finest are putting in for retirement faster than the NYPD can handle — while citing a lack of respect and the loss of overtime pay, The Post has learned.

A surge of city cops filing papers during the past week more than quadrupled last year’s number — as the city grapples with a surge of shootings — and the stampede caused a bottleneck that’s forcing others to delay putting in their papers, officials and sources said.

The NYPD said Wednesday that 179 cops filed for retirement between June 29 and Monday, an astounding 411-percent increase over the 35 who filed during the same time period in 2019.

The astonishing rush for the door came as 503 cops filed for retirement between May 25 — the day George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, sparking anti-cop protests around the country — and July 3, the NYPD said.
