Impaired Boater Arrested; Maryland Gears Up for Operation Dry Water
An overdue boater, who triggered an extensive search overnight Sunday by federal, state and local agencies, was located and charged with drunken operation, Maryland Natural Resources Police reported.
The incident in Calvert County is a reminder of the dangers of driving a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as officers gear up for the Operation Dry Water enforcement campaign this coming weekend.
Jonathan Mark Wagner, 26 of Lusby left the Navy Recreation Center on the Patuxent River at midday on Saturday. He told family he wanted to make sure his 19-foot boat was in good running order.
When he had not returned that night, his family went to the launching ramp and found his vehicle and boat trailer still parked.
Benghazi Report: Coming Soon
Legendary baseball commentator Vin Scully, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, took some time out of a baseball game this week to go off on socialism. It's a welcome departure from the left-wing doggerel that usually pollutes the airwaves. Scully:
"Socialism failing to work as it always does, this time in Venezuela. You talk about giving everybody something for free, and all of a sudden there's no food to eat."
Scully continued
"And who do you think is the richest person in Venezuela? The DAUGHTER of Hugo Chavez. Hello?!"

Maryland Man Sentenced to More Than Eight Years in Prison for Scheme to Obtain More Than $7 Million in Fraudulent Tax Refunds
Caused 14 False Tax Returns to be Filed in Just Six Months Claiming $7,753,940 in Refunds
A College Park, Maryland, man was sentenced to 97 months in prison today following his conviction in November 2015 by a federal jury on one count of conspiring to defraud the United States and six counts of filing false income tax returns, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General Caroline D. Ciraolo of the Justice Department’s Tax Division, U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein of the District of Maryland and Special Agent in Charge Thomas Jankowski of the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation’s (IRS-CI) Washington, D.C. Field Office.
According to the evidence presented at trial, between March and June 2009, Charles W. Parker Jr., 49, recruited clients for co-conspirator Penny Jones, 65, formerly of Rigby, Idaho. Jones, a tax return preparer in Idaho, prepared tax returns falsely reporting the amount of taxes withheld and purportedly paid to the IRS. Parker collected financial information from clients and provided it to Jones for the preparation of the false tax returns. Parker paid Jones to prepare false tax returns for Parker and others. Parker mailed the false tax returns to the IRS for the years 2005 to 2008, claiming large tax refunds to which the clients were not entitled. Parker caused the filing of 14 false tax returns in just a six month period that fraudulently claimed $7,753,940 in tax refunds.
In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus for the District of Maryland ordered Parker to serve three years of supervised release and pay restitution to the IRS in the amount of $2,007,568. In 2013, Jones was sentenced to 144 months in prison for her role in the scheme.
Acting Assistant Attorney General Ciraolo and U.S. Attorney Rosenstein thanked special agents of IRS-CI, who investigated the case and Assistant U.S. Attorney Leah Jo Bressack of the District of Maryland and Trial Attorney Erin Pulice of the Tax Division, who prosecuted the case.
Additional information about the Tax Division’s enforcement efforts can be found on the division’s website.
Three Ways the Federal Government's Sliding Left on Gay Rights
Federal agencies that deal with healthcare have been slowly tilting leftward on controversial social questions of how LGBT Americans should be treated, easing limits on blood donations from gay men and expanding coverage for sex-reassignment surgery.
Blood donations from gay men
Until December, gay men were banned entirely from donating blood if they had sex with another man in their lifetimes. But under the FDA's new policy, gay men must abstain from sex with other men for just one year.
Reassignment surgery for transgender vets
Meanwhile, the VA is considering following Medicare's lead by lifting its comprehensive ban on reassignment surgery for veterans who want a sex change. The agency has allowed certain standardized care for transgender veterans since 2011, but excluded surgeries.
Obamacare providers can't refuse care to transgender people
In general, conservatives aren't pleased with federal agencies funding hormone therapy or reassignment surgery for transgender people. But what they're really irked by are directives from the Obama administration about how schools and healthcare providers must treat transgender people.

Maryland Food Bank recieves donated land to use for farming fresh produce
The Maryland Food Bank will receive about 3.5 acres of land from NRG, a Fortune 200 Company and a leading power company in the U.S., at its plant in Dorcester County to support the food bank’s Farm to Food Bank program.
The land will be harvested and managed by Black Gold Farms. Black Gold Farms is already a partner with the Maryland Food Bank in the program.
The program creates a network of farms across Maryland to get fresh, local produce to hungry Marylanders. Nearly one in eight Maryland residents face food insecurity each year, according to the Maryland Food Bank.
Once harvested, the Maryland Food Bank distributes produce to over 1,200 soup kitchens, schools, food pantries and shelters.

What Happened When a Muslim Told the FBI About the Orlando Terrorist
Donald Trump believes American Muslims are hiding something. “They know what’s going on. They know that [Omar Mateen] was bad,” he said after the Orlando massacre. “They have to cooperate with law enforcement and turn in the people who they know are bad. … But you know what? They didn’t turn them in. And you know what? We had death and destruction.”
This is a common idea in the United States. It’s also a lie. First, Muslims like me can’t see into the hearts of other worshipers. (Do you know the hidden depths of everyone in your community?) Second, he’s also wrong that we don’t speak up when we’re able.
I know this firsthand: I was the one who told the FBI about Omar Mateen.

OPPD: NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH Crime Bulletin #60
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH Crime Bulletin #60
To all Our Neighborhood Watch Personnel:
The Summer Season Begins:
The summer season brings new challenges in the area of public safety. There will be a dramatic increase in both bicycle and pedestrian traffic on our Parkway and the side streets. Drivers must increase their vigilance when operating their vehicles. Last year, there were 108 traffic accidents investigated by our Police Department in Ocean Pines. Please drive carefully and within our posted speed limits.
** Internet Scams:
A 96 year old resident was scammed out of $40,000 in two seperate internet transactions. The scammer alleged that the victim had won over $950,000 and needed money from the victim to complete the transaction. Most of these scammers live overseas and are beyond the range of prosecution. In this case, police are actively pursuing an investigation, as the suspects live in the United States.
** Home Improvement Scams:
When you have home improvement people in your home, do you limit their access and monitor their actions? An Ocean Pines resident contracted with a local home improvement company for home repairs. The resident gave the key to his home to the contractor and left. Police later responded to a $40,000 theft report at that home. After an intensive investigation, police later arrested three suspects in this case. It could have been prevented.
Never allow home improvement personnel unsupervised in your home. LIMIT their access to only the areas of improvement and never leave valuables, such as jewelry, in plain view.

Six Diseases Return To US as Migration Advocates Celebrate 'World Refugee Day'
Six diseases that were recently near eradication are making a comeback in the United States, as the taxpayer funded refugee resettlement industry launches a propaganda blitz about the so-called World Refugee Day this Monday.
The returning diseases are;
1. Tuberculosis
2. Measles
3. Whooping Cough
4. Mumps
5. Scarlet Fever
6. Bubonic Plague
The near eradication of these diseases in the United States during the twentieth century was a remarkable accomplishment of American civilization. Until recently, most Americans believed these diseases were gone from our shores for good.
But a politicized public health system, and a rise in the subsidized migration into the United States, however, have combined to reverse a century of progress.

PREVIOUSLY ARRESTED ILLEGAL ALIEN ARSONIST KILLED FIVE HOMELESS PEOPLE
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A homeless man charged with setting a fire that killed five people at a vacant Los Angeles building was in the country illegally, and was arrested for drug possession days before the blaze.
Johnny Sanchez, 21, remains jailed without bail onfive counts of murder. Prosecutors haven’t decided whether to seek the death penalty.
They allege Sanchez set the fire Monday after having a dispute with other people squatting at a former acupuncture clinic in the Westlake area near downtown.
Three men and two women died in the fire, which collapsed the roof of the two-story building and left the bodies buried in debris.
Sanchez, a Honduran citizen, was arrested in 2012 for illegally entering California, but he was released a week later after agents determined he had no criminal history or previous immigration violations, the Los Angeles Times reported.
He was ordered to report regularly to immigration authorities, but for unknown reasons deportation proceedings never began, Virginia Kice, spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told the Times.

Subject: GOP Pushing Legislation 'Written for the Muslim Brotherhood'
Daniel Horowitz at Conservative Review argues that Republican lawmakers “are planning to promote the Muslim Brotherhood’s agenda” as a response to the Orlando terror attack.
From Conservative Review:
You can’t make this stuff up. Democrats respond to Islamic terrorist attacks by blaming inanimate objects. Now Republicans are planning to promote the Muslim Brotherhood’s agenda. Which response is worse?
There are many legislative options at the disposal of Republicans who control both chambers of the legislature. They could start by placing a pause on refugees as Obama brings in over 100 per day. I just checked the State Department database and found a jump in arrivals from Syria of 238 just from June 13 to June 14. Overall, 1,320 Syrian refugees have been admitted since June 1 – every one of them a Muslim. The American people overwhelmingly favor a pause instead of a refugee surge while their elected officials can properly audit the short-term and long-term effects of mass migration from the most volatile parts of the Islamic world.

Hah! Liberal Reporter Tries to Buy AR15 – GETS DENIED FOR VIOLENT PAST
Neil Steinberg, writer for the Chicago Sun Times, saw how easy it was for other journalists to waltz into a gun shop and walk out with a child slaughtering, full auto, death machine, exactly like the one that the Navy Marine Rangers use (leftist talk there), so he decided to try it Des Plaines, Illinois. Only this didn’t quite go according to plan.
In addition to a mandatory 24 hour waiting period in Illinois, it turns out Mr. Steinberg has a troubled past of alcohol abuse and domestic violence, so he was denied the sale.
But before he got that far, he was first faced with the same hurdles that other potential gun buyers are faced with; contradictory and unclear gun laws. As he wrote:

Secret Service: Prepared To Deal With Hillary's 'Domestic Violence'
A former Secret Service agent claims that things got so heated during Bill Clinton’s presidency over his affairs that the Secret Service discussed the prospect of “domestic violence” between Hillary and her husband.
According to The New York Post, Gary J. Byrne’s upcoming book — “Crisis of Character: A White House Secret Service Officer Discloses his Firsthand Experience with Hillary, Bill, and How They Operate” — claims President Clinton was having an affair with Monica Lewinsky he was also having one with former Vice President Walter Mondale’s daughter, Eleanor Mondale, who passed away in 2011 due to brain cancer.

Marc Kilmer, Wicomico County Council
Today the county council voted to provide subsidized tuition to some Wor-Wic students. I joined Joe Holloway in voting against this proposal. I did make a successful motion to amend the resolution to limit this program to students in families that have a household income below $75,000. If this program was going to pass (and the votes were there for it to do so), I thought it was best to ensure that it was more limited than originally proposed and that it was actually targeted at those who may struggle to pay for Wor-Wic. Even with this change, I still do not think this is the best use of our tax dollars.
Young Girl Molested in Target Store
TARGET STORES NOW A MAGNET FOR MOLESTERS.
In the latest sexual predator case, police in Fairfax County, Virginia are going by surveillance video in their search for a man who inappropriately touched an eleven-year-old girl in a Target store.
The incident occurred at the Target store located at 2985 District Avenue in Fairfax, Virginia. The child was shopping with her father Saturday, June 18 around 5 p.m. After they returned home, she told her father that a strange man had touched her buttocks in the store. The father immediately called the police.
The store’s security video caught the incident, showing a white male in his 20’s who was wearing a gray shirt and dark shorts. Outdoor video showed the suspect leaving the parking lot in a burgundy Ford Mustang.

Subject: How the Democrats Are Disarming Us
According to a Gallup poll taken the week after the atrocity in Orlando, only 29 percent of Democrats thought this was an Islamic terror attack. Fully 60 percent of all Democrats attributed the attack to “domestic gun violence.” Moreover, 42 percent of independents felt the same way. Only 44 percent attributed it to the Islamic holy war that has been declared on America and the West.
How is this possible? During the massacre, the terrorist himself took pains to post messagesdeclaring that his acts were acts of Islamic terror against America. “Now taste the Islamic state vengeance,” one message said. Another warned, “in the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic state in the USA.” Moreover, in the days following the attack, a dossier of his behavior and associations going back more than fifteen years showed that he saw himself as a warrior for Islam and a jihadist in the making. The FBI had interviewed him twice — once in 2013 after co-workers reported that he made “inflammatory” comments to them about radical Islamic propaganda and the following year because of ties with a fellow Muslim who traveled to Syria to become a suicide bomber.
How then could 60 percent of Democrats and 42 percent of independents think that the killings in Orlando had nothing to do with radical Islam or Islamic terror? How could they think it was simply a matter of domestic gun violence similar to other mass shootings by deranged individuals whose motives had nothing to do with Islam or the Islamic state? The reason they could be so misled is because the president himself said it had nothing to do with Islam and warned that thinking it did was a form of bigotry that could hurt America — indeed would be a betrayal of America’s true self.

The Lawyers Who Could Take Down Hillary Clinton’s Campaign
To Team Clinton, they’re ‘everything wrong with our politics.’ In conservative circles, they’re heroes—and maybe the best positioned to dig up dirt that could poison Hillary 2016.
In February, a federal judge took the highly unusual step of ruling that State Department officials and aides to Hillary Clinton should be questioned under oath about her use of a private email server, a controversy that has dogged the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for more than a year.
In comments from the bench, a visibly frustrated Judge Emmet Sullivan complained about the fragmentary way that new revelations about Clinton’s email use have come to light—largely through press reports and leaks and her shifting explanations for why she set up the server in her New York home rather than use an official “.gov” account when she was secretary of state.
“This is a constant drip… That’s what we’re having here, you know, and it needs to stop,” Sullivan said. He ruled that Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that had brought a lawsuit seeking answers about Clinton’s email server, could question six officials and top Clinton aides about why the email system was set up in the first place and how it was used. Transcripts of those interviews must be made public.
