As the clock ticks closer to midnight on Sept. 30, we're weighing in regularly with about half a dozen congressional budget experts to see if they think the government is going to shut down come Oct. 1. Bookmark this post for their latest predictions. We'll update it often.
In the United States, you can't walk into a casino and bet on political outcomes. But if you could, we know some people who would advise you to put some money on the government shutting down on Oct. 1.
When Congress returned to work Sept. 8, it faced a nearly unprecedented number of deadlines and political dramas. The government needs to be funded by Sept. 30, but Congress is way behind in approving the series of spending bills necessary to pass a full budget. Instead, lawmakers probably will try to pass a short-term budget extension that basically keeps spending levels the same as last year and keeps the government open.

Hillary Clinton: Come Clean or Get Out
If the Democratic Party cares to salvage a sliver of moral authority, its leaders and early state voters need to send Hillary Rodham Clinton an urgent message: Come clean or get out. Stop lying and deflecting about how and why you stashed State Department email on a secret server—or stop running.
Tell her: We can’t have another day like this:
Story 1: The State Department confirmed that Clinton turned over her email only after Congress discovered that she had exclusively used a private email system. According to The Washington Post, the department first contacted her in the summer of 2014, at least three months before the agency asked Clinton and three of her predecessors to provide their emails.
The story undercuts Clinton’s claim that her decision to turn over self-selected email was a response to a routine-sounding records request. She hasn’t been telling the truth.

Baltimore Awarded $1M To Help Pay Officers For Overtime During Riots
WASHINGTON D.C. (WJZ) – U.S. Senators Barbara A. Mikulski and Ben Cardin together with Congressman Elijah E. Cummings announced that $1 million in federal grant funding has been awarded to the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) to help pay for increased police overtime costs during the Freddie Gray riots.
“These federal funds help the City of Baltimore meet the costs of protecting people and property during the riots following the death of Freddie Gray,” said Senator Mikulski, Vice Chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which funds DOJ. “While this funding is a fraction of the total cost incurred by the State of Maryland, I am pleased that the DOJ heeded our calls for assistance.”
The Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program (BJAG) is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions.

Media Describes 30-Year-Old Woman Who Had Sex With Child as “Glamorous”
The mainstreaming of pedophilia continues
Two major newspapers in the United Kingdom described a 30-year-old woman who had sex with a child as “glamorous” and included numerous “gallery” pictures of the teaching assistant in the body of their articles.
The Manchester Evening News reported on how Caroline Berriman had pleaded guilty to “two counts of sexual activity with a child – and a further charge of sexual activity with a child.”
However, Berriman was spared jail and only handed a two year suspended sentence by Minshull Street Crown Court. The child was at most 15 years of age when the offenses took place.
‘Glamorous teaching assistant escapes jail despite admitting having sex with teenage pupil’, read the Manchester Evening News headline.
The Daily Star also described Berriman as “glamorous,” and like the Manchester Evening News also featured a number of photogenic gallery images in which Berriman is seen posing for the camera.

Taking Biosecurity Measures to Limit Your Legal Liability for the Spread of Avian Influenza
Paul Goeringer, Dr. Jon Moyle, and Ashley Newhall
The possibility of an avian influenza (AI) outbreak on the Delmarva is a scary possibility. The recent AI outbreak in the Midwest has resulted in the infection of over 48 million birds on 223 farms. Infected birds are euthanized to help contain the disease, resulting in large economic loss to both the grower and integrator.
With this in mind, poultry growers and companies often have questions about potential liability if AI breaks out on one farm (Grower A) and then on a neighboring farm (Grower B). Could Grower A be liable to Grower B for damages caused by the disease? Under the traditional view, Grower A would not be liable for the spread of the disease unless it was shown that Grower A was negligent. Growers, poultry companies, and contractors practicing biosecurity measures can demonstrate he/she was not negligent and is working to prevent the spread of AI.

Growing Number Believe California’s Drought Is A Government Conspiracy
“Climate engineering is the single greatest assault on the environment ever launched by humanity, without question"
The movement’s leader, Dane Wigington, says he’s putting his life on the line to reveal a truth that will shake society to its core.
From the outside, it’s clear the hundreds showing up beat to a different drum. But stepping inside a packed Redding auditorium is like walking into another world. Outlandish ideas like weather warfare and climate engineering—in other words, weather control—are accepted as basic fact.

UCLA archaeologist digs deep to reveal Easter Island torsos
There’s more to the world-famous heads of Easter Island than meets the eye.
Ask archaeologist Jo Anne Van Tilburg, a research associate at the UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and director of its Rock Art Archive, who has been lecturing and writing about Easter Island’s iconic monolithic statues for years.
As the director of the Easter Island Statue Project — the longest-continuous collaborative artifact inventory ever conducted on the Polynesian island that belongs to Chile — Van Tilburg has opened a window on one of the greatest achievements of Pacific prehistory on one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world.
She and her team of resident Rapa Nui have spent nine years locating and meticulously documenting the nearly 1,000 statues on the island, determining their symbolic meaning and function, and conserving them using state-of-the-art techniques.

ISIS IN GERMANY? BERLIN POLICE CRACKDOWN ON ISLAMIST EXTREMISTS AMID FEARS OF ISLAMIC STATE EXPLOITING REFUGEE TIDE
Authorities in Berlin conduct several raids on potential jihadists
German police raided eight sites Tuesday — including a mosque — that they said were being used by Islamic extremists, the Associated Press reported. Among those arrested were a 51-year-old Moroccan and a 19-year-old Macedonian man who was believed to have gone to Syria to fight against the Syrian government. Another individual was arrested recently for allegedly trying to recruit Syrians in a refugee center to join Islamic State militants, various news outlets reported.
The arrests come as Germany launched a number of investigations into allegations of militants with the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS or ISIL, exploiting the influx of refugees in order to infiltrate Germany. In one case, a man was filmed telling others in his shelter about his ties with ISIS. Some images that have surfaced on social media in recent weeks, which allegedly show ISIS fighters in Europe, have been outed as fakes.
The ongoing Syrian war has sent some 370,000 refugees fleeing to Europe this year, the United Nations’ refugee agency has estimated. Among the refugees have also been migrants from African and other Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries. Several eastern European nations have sought to prevent refugees from entering, while Germany has offered to take in hundreds of thousands of refugees each year.

Once Cops Realized Who this Man Was, they Turned Dashcams Off and Savagely Attacked Him
“What are you going to tell me next, ‘you can’t breathe?'”
George Roberts is a civilian whose job is to investigate crooked cops. As the supervisor for the Independent Police Review Authority, (IPRA), Roberts is responsible for investigating claims of police misconduct and officer-involved shootings.
After a nightmarish interaction with six Chicago cops, however, Roberts became the subject of his own work.
According to a federal lawsuit filed this week, after leaving a bar on New Year’s Day 2015, Roberts was pulled over by six of Chicago’s finest.
One of these six cops found Roberts identification card that showed he was a supervisor at the IPRA. Once they discovered that Roberts was a man who is tasked with holding police accountable for a living, the dashcam recording of the incident goes black.

For Christians and Yazidis Fleeing Genocide, the Obama Administration Has No Room at the Inn
The Obama administration maintains that its principal strategic response to the conflict in Syria is humanitarian, not military, and focused on human rights. In Syria as well as Iraq, the consequences of this policy have been shockingly deficient. The West is only now beginning to wake up to its catastrophic results, as Europe struggles with a mass migration of a magnitude the continent has not experienced since the 1940s.
In April, Assad began intensifying the barrel bombing of Aleppo and Damascus’s Sunni neighborhoods while streamlining the passport process. In June, the U.N. was forced, unconscionably, to slash Syrian refugee food rations for lack of funding. Whether it was then, or when human traffickers began operating rickety craft from the port of Izmir, Turkey — leading to some 3,000 drownings — at every juncture, the administration failed to lead a serious effort to mitigate the suffering. This explosion has been building for years. The administration slumbered instead of coordinating an effective allied effort to head off a dangerous and chaotic westward surge of hundreds of thousands, potentially tens of millions, of oppressed and poor migrants, with some terrorists among them. And that’s not the half of it. In Syria and Iraq, there continues to develop a horrific human-rights crisis that evokes the darkest episodes of World War II. ISIS and other Islamist extremists are waging genocide, the most egregious of all human-rights atrocities, against Christians, Yazidis, Mandaeans, and other defenseless religious minorities, whom the administration, apart from last year’s airstrikes to help the Yazidis, has failed.

Support For Gun Control Continues To Drop
Support for federally enforced gun control continues to decline, according to the findings of a new Rasmussen survey.
The poll found that only 3 in 10 Americans, 34 percent, feel that the federal government should be involved in gun control.
That figure is down from a high of 38 percent, recorded in December 2014.
Perhaps even more telling is the finding that the percentage of Americans who oppose the idea of banning guns for everyone except for government agencies, military, and law enforcement continues to grow.
“69 percent think it would be bad for the country if only the government had guns, [which is] up seven points from 62% in December.” reports Rasmussen.
The survey also discovered that 68 percent “would feel safer living in a neighborhood where they can own a gun” rather than in a place where guns are banned.

Obama blocks conservative black middle schooler from following him on Twitter!
Now who’s being the child?
Conservative YouTube sensation CJ Pearson, a 13-year-old black middle schooler from Georgia, revealed today that he’s been blocked from following President Obama on Twitter. He’s also unable to view the president’s tweets.
“It’s an honor,” Pearson tells The American Mirror, insisting he did nothing to warrant being blocked, except his most recent video released last week.
In the video, he accuses the president of playing politics with the Texas student who was suspended for bringing a clock to school that appeared to be a bomb.
“He’s used this child as a political prop,” Pearson said. “This president has used this child to push his radical, leftward agenda. And I think it’s disgusting, and I think many, many people agree.”
Pearson’s video has been viewed over 1.8 million times on YouTube.

Officials warn of pot-laced chocolate bars
Delaware State Police are warning parents of the dangers of edible cannabis products after two incidents reported this month.
Twice this month, Delaware troopers have been involved in incidents involving chocolate bars infused with marijuana and labeled as “medical cannabis,” said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.
In one incident, he said, the brand seized was Bhang Medicinal Chocolate.
Public health officials said these particular bars are produced and marketed as medical marijuana and come in various potencies. The strongest is triple strength that is 180 mg of marijuana. The bars come with a warning on the packaging, “This is a medical Cannabis product. Keep away from children and pets. Consume only under the supervision of your medical provider. If pregnant ask doctor before consuming. May cause drowsiness. Do not operate heavy machinery.”
“Public Health is very concerned about people buying so-called ‘medical marijuana’ from private sources or the Internet,” said DPH Director Dr. Karyl Rattay. “Using the term ‘medical’ never makes something automatically safe, nor do consumers know what they are getting. Not only is it illegal, but it could be laced with dangerous substances or toxins.”
