City Adds New Traffic Sign

WHAT THE HELL FOR?

The City added a new Stop Sign at Mill Street and Main Street at the end of the Downtown Plaza. Why, Lord only knows? There are now two stop signs there, neither of which "anyone" pays attention to.

The dumbest part is, where the hell are the Police, making sure people actually stop? I sat there for 3 hours on Saturday and not one vehicle obeyed the Stop Sign! Oh, and you can believe there are a ton of vehicles coming through each direction of this intersection.

IF there was ANY productive meaning towards this move, plant Officers there and start writing tickets. Do you not have anything better to do Barrie?

Did You Read Today's Daily Times?

County Executive Rick Pollitt wrote a Letter to the Editor today in which he mentions my offering to help his Family out when the wells went dry. Thank You Rick. As always, the Daily Times couldn't let the kind gesture stick in people's minds so they added their News Tracker to mention the lawsuits against me from the Mayor and Chief of Police.

You talk about a piece of sh*t newspaper. Will they ever grow up? If my Father In Law writes a Letter to the Editor they always tag on, Art Goetz is the Father of Jennifer Albero who is suing the City of Salisbury. Joe Albero is the Husband of Jennifer Albero who sued the City of Salisbury, as if no one knows who I am.

The Daily Times needs to grow up and stop playing their petty games. Then again, how about I start blasting them for all their mistakes?

The Asbury Church Project Is Finally Complete

You have to admit, it sure is beautiful. The professional work completed on this job is very evident within these pictures. Hopefully more people will now notice.

By the way, does anyone know why they did away with the Cross at the peak?

May I See Your Permit Please?

Signs like this are going up all over the City for Student Rentals, yet the City doesn't seem to be doing anything about it? These signs are ILLEGAL and it shouldn't take Citizens or Blogs to expose them for this illegal activity. These Slum Lords know what's legal and what's not, FINE THEM without warning. When someone let's their Parking Meter run out of time, you don't WARN them for breaking the law. YOU FINE THEM ON THE SPOT! Enough is enough with this FOB crap!

Today's Wildlife Photo

Before & After????

Two weeks ago I created a Post showing the building above in desperate condition in immediate need of being torn down. The Post created enough attention that the County Executive Rick Pollitt and Jim Finneran took it upon themselves to get something done about it right away. As you can clearly see from the second and third photo, the building is completely gone, (thanks to the Owner and the Real Estate Agent getting right on the ball) and I have to tell you, whomever did the work are true professionals. There's not a stick of debris left on that property, it's that clean!

Then we take a look at the 4th photo of this group. This is the home directly across the street from the Salisbury Police Department. This property is not only an eye sore, it too is dangerous and for years, (I do mean YEARS) this home continues to stand and the City can do nothing to have it torn down.

I remember exposing this property two years ago and honest to God, it's still standing. There's a huge difference between the City and the County. The County gets results.

A Message From Senator Andy Harris

Friends,

This week, our campaign announced the amount of money we have raised since July 1st. This was a great quarter in our campaign. People are willing to open their wallets to help our campaign because they realize we need a change in the first district. When people see my fiscally conservative record in the State Senate and then compare it Gilchrest's liberal fiscal record, such as voting for over $30 billion in new taxes this year; they are willing to invest in my campaign to bring fiscal responsibility to Washington.

For those of you curious how much we raised, let me give you a brief summary. We raised over $352,000 bringing our total raised this year to $526,000. We have $402,000 cash on hand. These fundraising numbers show we will have the money necessary to get our message out to the voters.

Unlike Gilchrest, our campaign cannot send out full-color mailers paid by taxpayers to people throughout the district, so we have to continue to raise money right up until the election.

I appreciate all of your support for my candidacy. The momentum is definitely building in our favor. Don't forget to visit www.andyharris08.com

Thanks,

Andy

ATTEST

Brenda J. Colegrove
CITY CLERK
Michael P. Dunn
PRESIDENT, City Council

APPROVED by me this _____ day of ____________, 2007.

So if you're Black, Female and or in the Linen Business, it might make you think twice about this statement, eh?

Is Crime Up Or Down In Salisbury?

I'll be digging in deep on this subject as the FBI results are in. The last go around Chiefy tried denying we were the 11th Most Dangerous City In America, so there's no doubt there's a lot more to read into with the newest results. Allegedly rape is down in the City but UP in the Salisbury Police Department, eh? More to come......

Bummer!

MORE Fire Department Discrimination?

As desperate at the Salisbury Fire Department is for EMT Paramedics, they recently had what some say were 30 people apply, yet only "2" of them had EMT Paramedic experience.

Comegys has been spouting about how they have BUDGETED for these positions, yet he hasn't been telling ANYONE that they haven't been hiring them because he doesn't want everyone to know the City has been pissing away tax dollars and not getting actual results.

During the recent interview process, one of the 2 actual EMT Paramedics who is going through school to become a Paramedic was asked to do sit ups, in which she could not satisfy them with results, so they let her go.

Now please Folks, do me a favor. Please look again at the photo above and do tell me if YOU believe any one of these LEADERS can in fact accomplish ONE sit up? Then let's talk about some of THEIR education. Chief See, NONE! Yet it is required today to have a Degree to lead such an organization. I provided a link to that article in an earlier Post a few days ago.

Now I'm sure many Fire Fighters will come back arguing you must be physically fit for such a position. I ask you then, why encourage this woman to take the classes if she can't accomplish the physical end of the job???????

Also, to the people reading this article outside of the Fire Department, about 90% of the actual calls to the Fire Department require EMT Paramedic Responses. THAT'S how desperate they are for these professionals, yet they keep hiring Fire Fighters and NOT EMT Paramedics. Stupid is as stupid does.

So Chiefy & Gordy, how many sit ups can you do?????

The Daily Times Is Too Easy To Read

Yesterday I was reading the Grapevine and I said to my Wife, how much money do you want to bet the front page news tomorrow will be pictures and news about the demolition of the Old Mall?

Of course she agreed right away as soon as she saw the Grapevine Comment as well. This has been their track record for quite some time. They use Poll Questions and then the Grapevine to LEAD into their top stories.

Oh, sorry, I'm not supposed to be that smart, that's right. Stupid me! LOL

Considering you PAID for that paper and they didn't deliver you photos of the actual PROGRESS, I've provided them for you. UNBELIEVABLE!

Terry Cohen Discusses Racial Workforce Diversity

When asked what their top goal would be for 2008 in yesterdays Goal Setting Session, Terry Cohen said she didn't want to take sides but we do need to work on workforce diversity and that racism is still a problem in Salisbury.

Of course she was referencing the most recent Fire Department situation but without all the information necessary she didn't want to elaborate on it any further.

Do notice how The Daily Times and other News Sources have completely stayed away from such a challenging subject. It's no wonder the Blogs are here to stay. We'll tackle such said subjects while the rest collect money from you for their version of what they call news and information.

I sat down one on one with Shanie Shields referencing this subject yesterday and came to learn Lorenzo is her Cousin. We discussed the process, rather than the actual test results and what good it would have done to have promoted him while they're relocating to the West Side and how positive a ROLL MODEL he could have served for other Black Youth in that community to step forward and participate in volunteering.

Then again, that could and probably would upset quite a few of those WHITE Fire Fighters making such stupid and discriminating remarks here on this Blog. Here's my tip to those individuals. Being a BIGOT is very similar to an alcoholic. Denial is the first thing you'll see out of these people. "We can't force them to move here. We can't force them to sign up. Blacks want to work off the Government. They're lazy." I could go on and on but these are just some of the STUPID examples sent in.

I even got this statement in a direct e-mail. "I do not use the “N” word unless it is directed as it is truly meant in Webster’s dictionary…which, if you will read, relates more to IQ points and has nothing to do w/ skin color."

Yeah, these people don't have issues. Keep up the good work Terry Cohen and let's hope Shanie Shields gets on board as well?

Something I Never Knew About

If you're a local business owner in the City of Salisbury, I think it's important you go to this Site every morning and get an update as to the Most Wanted Criminals in the Salisbury Area. GO HERE to see them regularly and let your local Law Enforcement know the moment you happen to see one or more of these Wanted People.

Welcome Back To The Downtown Plaza

Trust me, I have many more photos of the Plaza looking like crap. However, the beer cans have been down there for days and I have personally been picking up and throwing away trash from the Deli down there daily as well. They serve the people but they don't clean up their outside mess. The one fountain near the GOB end of the Plaza has not been working for months too? Oh well, Barrie doesn't get out much, obviously.

City Employees & The Blogs

Just a short Post about something I thought was quite interesting.

Mayor Barrie Tilghman and her Administration demanded NO ONE from the Fire Department and or City Employee may visit my Blog any longer.

It seems to be convenient to let them do so whenever they're attacking me for something I've said. Not that I care about someone giving me some of my own medicine. More so that no one listens to the Mayor's demands and or she's behind them doing so without punishment.

Now watch everyone claim they were all at home when they did so. LMAO!

Mayor Tilghman Clobbers SU Mascot

Mayor Barrie Tilghman clobbered the SU Mascot during the Governor's visit earlier this week. I think he gave her the bird?

Lorenzo Cropper Or Barrie Tilghman????????

I can clearly understand Shanie's stress. I mean, how can someone like her just sit there doing NOTHING about the people that got her into that seat in the first place?

Then there's the thought of how Barrie Tilghman had such a strong voting presence within the Black Community.

So do tell me Shanie & Barrie, what have you done for the Black Community lately? Oh, that's right, Louise Smith organized a clean up around Church Street, Barrie showed up and walked away immediately as soon as she thought she got her Photo Op. Sadly, just like the other day when the Governor visited and only one person, (white)applauded the Mayor when the Governor announced her presence, the Press refused to show up for that Church Street PROPAGANDA Photo Op.

So Shanie, do call me and let me know your intentions towards STANDING UP for Lorenzo Cropper, the ONLY Paid Black Fire Fighter on the Salisbury Fire Department. I'd love to discuss this with you.

Lorenzo Cropper or Barrie Tilghman?????????????????

The Price Of Gas Is Killing Everyone

I noticed at a Gordy Mart they have a Hearse that was just sitting there. I mean, why not go to the most stressful place on earth today and wait? Makes a lot of sense. However, I'd have them advertise GORDY MART all over the side of the Hearse.

There's A Lot Of Injured People Working At Wilber's Office!

I can see where ONE employee was injured and needed special attention but clearly and regularly these yellow bags are on these meters in front of City Solicitor Paul Wilber's Office. I better be careful NOT to say he's a FOB too because Barrie might sue me again. LMAO!

Are YOU A FOB?

Wait till you see thre next Post. Seems to me people are getting special favors all over Downtown Salisbury.

Kenny Beck Moves On

Yesterday afternoon Mr. Kenny Beck had his final broadcast on 47 News and the Staff held a small party to wish him well in North Carolina.

I've learned a lot from Kenny Beck over the past couple of years and yesterday we talked one on one about his career. He explained to me how his Mother and Father are both Teachers and after his Sports Career he chose to go into Teaching as well. His Parents taught him throughout his life time how to be passionate about the things that interest you most.

After Sports, Kenny thought he'd get into Sports only Broadcasting. When this market didn't have anything available sports wise, he got a call asking if he'd be interested in an anchor position and he thought, what the heck.

Well, it's been a home run ever since. He found he actually loved doing that even more than the Sports. However, "If ESPN called tomorrow I might have to reconsider that statement."

Good Luck Kenny.

Now This Cracked Me Up!

Yesterday I was walking around Downtown when this bashed up vehicle pulled up. I noticed the Detailing signs in his back window and couldn't help but stand there and burst out in laughter.

Now I'm not at all saying this guy doesn't do good work BUT if this vehicle is an example of his final product, well, I know I wouldn't hire him. Thanks for the laugh though.

Today's Wildlife Photo

Only In The South!

I took this photo on my way down to Florida. Heck, I knew guys in Da Bronx that would do this job if you didn't pay them back a hundred bucks.

Grand Jury

While Chief See stood in front of a Grand Jury he was asked, What are you doing to balance the racial situation within the Salisbury Fire Department? Are you prepared to hire more Blacks?

Chief See replied, (photo above) Huh, Whut, Uh, Uh, I ain't gonna do it. They can go to San Domingo and get a job there.

Of course this post is a joke and there never was a Grand Jury.

However, I want EVERY single reader here to know, of the hundreds of people involved in the Salisbury Fire Department, there is only ONE Black paid professional Fire Fighter and that is Mr. Cropper. Mr. Cropper has been turned down twice now for a promotion and I strongly recommend this man hire an attorney and flat out sue the living sh*t out of the City of Salisbury.

See & Gordy have made it extremely clear that they are NOT going to advance Blacks within the Fire Department, even though they desperately need more Staff for the West Side.

Is The Salisbury Fire Department In Damage Control Mode?

The fear of a Discrimination Lawsuit could have brought Officers from the Salisbury Fire Department to Paul Wilber's Office yesterday.

Damage Control is something standard within the City of Salisbury and with lawsuits flowing like water in a stream, the City is certainly keeping Mr. Paul Wilber a very wealthy man, that's for sure.

Just another reason everyone should consider FIRING the Mayor at the next Election but my guess is that this woman wouldn't even think of running again. I was right with Mike Dunn and Lynn Cathcart, Barrie doesn't want to flat out lose as it would destroy her inner beliefs that the majority of Salisbury actually likes her. WRONG!

Oh well, let's see what becomes of your Fire Department Tax Dollars and Attorney Fees hard at work once again.

Mayor Tilghman Drives Out Another $12,000,000.00 Business

BREAKING NEWS!

Linens Of The Week is packing their bags, selling their property on Marvel Road and MOVING to Wilmington, Delaware!

3 years ago Linens of the Week purchased a large piece of property, (shown above) with the intent of investing $12,000,000.00 and adding 50 to 60 NEW jobs to the community, above and beyond what they already have on Staff. The Mayor and Council originally welcomed their expansion as Linens of the Week clearly showed how the discharge from this new Plant would be lower than any business of its type around the Country as they hired experts to assure any discharge coming from their facility would be safer than most anything around and would be nothing more than diluted vegetable oil.

To date they have invested more than $700,000.00 in engineering costs to build this new facility and today they say "The City of Salisbury is just not willing to work with us." Why the all of a sudden about face? Could the new WWTP NOT be everything the City is claiming it will be?

Linens of the Week is the 5th largest account the WWTP has and driving out those kind of numbers/income seems to be suicide financially. My only guess would be that they are desperate to get their numbers down. Again, the economic & Development this one Firm could bring to the local economy certainly calls for serious negotiations and the City simply is not interested in anything of the sort.

Linens of the Week has a facility in the Church Street area and apparently the City of Salisbury is desperate for that particular piece of property. The owners of the property allegedly have a EPA problem on the property, (sounds like the property the new Station 16 is moving to on the West side) and the ONLY people who can get past that issue is the City. Therefore the City wants that parcel something horrible and there are issues there as well.

That Production Facility will be closing but Linens of the Week will continue to have a local distribution center in the Salisbury Area in which they will absolutely be able to provide 100% of the same quality service they are providing today. They will have Production in Wilmington and transport 7 days a week to the Salisbury area. So for those of you who use their services, nothing will change.

However, for those Taxpayers in Salisbury, you need to look long and hard at what this Administration continues to do to the local economy. For years we have provided the numerous companies that have closed their doors and or relocated out of the area as it is VERY clear, unless you're a Developer, this Administration doesn't want anything to do with you and or support you.

With the new Tax Increases, water & sewer rates regularly on the rise and Developer Reimbursements thrown in the faces of the Taxpayers everywhere you turn. it's time to get rid of Barrie Tilghman, straighten out the City and welcome those businesses that have invested so heavily into this community.

Ladies & Gentlemen, I want to express something else to you in order to PROVE the City of Salisbury is completely over the top with this WWTP. Many of you are familiar with the Salisbury Christian School. Do you know that once a year they hold an event whereas they get hundreds of people together and they would cook Hot Dogs and give them out for free to all who attended? Are you aware that this event no longer offers Hot Dogs? Do you know why they don't? Because the City allegedly rode their tails about the DISCHARGE from boiling such said Hot Dogs! Need I say more?

There is now a For Sale Sign on the new property Linens of the Week owns and no matter what, they are NOT changing their mind and they are leaving Salisbury. They did everything they could do to negotiate with the City and the City refused.

Duvall Is Clueless!

Old Man Duvall put up a RED NET ALERT this morning misleading the Public stating there is a Planning & Zoning Meeting on the Hearne Annexation TODAY and he is flat out wrong!

There is a scheduled meeting a week from today, (the 18th) but no secret meeting is being held today. Then again, as old and slow as he is, maybe it will take him an entire week to get there, up the elevator and into the meeting? Hence the photo above.

"Andy Harris Raised Over $526,000 Year To Date"

Salisbury - Today, Andy Harris for Congress announced it will report that the campaign has raised $526,256 this year, with over $352,000 in total receipts for the third quarter ending September 30, 2007. Despite the difficulty most campaigns have raising funds during the summer months, the total raised during the third quarter is more than double the amount raised in the second quarter ending June 30, 2007.

"The strong financial support for my campaign echoes what I see and hear as I visit with voters throughout the district." said Harris. "They want a congressman who believes in fiscal responsibility, stopping illegal immigration, and winning the Global War on Terror."

No previous primary challenger to Gilchrest has ever raised as much money - much less with four months to go in the campaign. More importantly, the "cash on hand" available shows that the campaign will be able to get Andy's message for change out to the Republican primary voters in the district.

"Andy's message of consistent conservative leadership - a direct contrast to liberal Wayne Gilchrest's support for higher taxes, wasteful government spending, and amnesty for illegal immigrants - is energizing people to finally break with the incumbent and open their wallets to help Andy become the next congressman", said Chris Meekins, campaign manager for the Harris campaign.

FAST FACTS about Andy Harris for Congress Third Quarter Report:
Total Receipts Year to Date: $526,256
Total Receipts for the Third Quarter: $352,142
Cash on Hand: $402,053

Andy will be available for comment throughout the day.

O'Malley Comes To Salisbury Selling Snake Oil

We had huge losses last year. BS! We PROJECTED numbers that weren't realistic and now since we never came close to those numbers we're in hawk up to out ears and an instant tax increase and Slot Machines will relieve the problem.

Look, I've known the President of the Maryland Senate, (Mike Miller) for more years than I'd like to admit and one thing I can tell you is, THIS MAN HAS WANTED SLOTS IN MARYLAND FOR MANY YEARS! They tried the regular way to get them passed for years and it didn't work, so now they created another way to get them passed.

O'Malley wanted to stress that the ONLY place we can pull the $1.6 Billion from is a small 16% of the entire Budget for the State. Bull Sh*t! For those of you sitting there listening/believing that line of crap, you're IDIOTS! You pull from each and every percent and when they start complaining, REPLACE THEM!

He's pulling another Barrie Tilghman BS 10% Water & Sewer Increase! It didn't work for her and soon enough Marylanders will realize these are false numbers being thrown down their throats. When is the last time you heard someone over spend by $1.6 Billion in one year, (or so) PLEASE!

Then what happens when they raise taxes, they gain back their losses and Slot Machines are in place whereas it could bring in enough income to see taxes go back down to 5%? NOPE, not gonna happen! You're NOT going to hear these words from any politicians either.

O'Malley is a nice guy but if he thinks everyone in the State of Maryland is that stupid and they're going to fall easily for this Tax Increase, he's nuts, just like Barrie Tilghman was on her BS Water & Sewer Increase.

Farewell Mr. Kenny Beck

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Today is Mr. Kenny Beck's last day at 47 News. This is a classy guy who has proven to be more professional than any other Anchor/Reporter on the Eastern Shore. His awards certainly prove of such.

Kenny will be moving on to the Carolina's to further his career and he will certainly be missed. All The Very Best To You & Your Wife Kenny. Please do keep in touch.
