The Punishment For Houston Looters Reportedly Shooting Rescuers Should Be Swift
Looters have reportedly opened fire on rescue teams attempting to save people in Houston, and the punishments should be out of this world.
The looters allegedly opened fire on the Cajun Navy, a group that has been doing incredible work to save as many lives as possible during the flooding.
“Clyde and the other team members and teams are all safe. Looters decided to pose as people needing rescue and they attempted to overtake the boats and there were shots fired at the boats. I repeat they are all safe. Looters must have not wanted our boats in the water for rescues. Please feel free to share this post. We are currently on stand down pending a new strategic plan,” was posted on the Cajun Navy’s Facebook page, but it’s since been removed.

Elizabeth Warren Calls For BAN On Menthol Cigarettes – They Are Racist Against Black People
As the national conversation about racism continues to rage, Democrats continue to do all they can to exploit the crisis. But Elizabeth Warren’s latest charge has a lot of people giving her some major side-eye. According to Warren, menthol cigarettes must be banned… because they’re racist.
Massachusetts Sen. Edward Markey, Rhode Island Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, and Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal all joined Warren in calling for menthol cigarettes to be banned in a letter to the Food and Drug Administration.
The letter argued that African-Americans have the highest mortality rate of all ethnic groups, due in large part to smoking-related diseases. Menthol cigarettes, they say, poses a greater risk than other cigarettes. The senators cited a 2011 study which found that “menthol cigarettes pose a public health risk above that seen with non-menthol cigarettes”.

Liberals Fooled By Viral Photo Of Obama Serving Houston Victims
If you’re sick of the number of fake images circulating the internet, then you’re on the right page. I have just about had it with people who are dedicated to spreading misinformation for their own amusement, or to push their agenda.
The most recent image has to do with former-President Barack Obama and Hurricane Harvey’s devastating impact on Texas.
A picture that went viral purports to show Obama and his family serving the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. It was originally posted with the caption “something you’ll never see trump do: Obama is in Texas serving meals!”
Well as good as it would be to see the former President helping those who are enduring one of the worst times of their life, it turns out it wasn’t exactly authentic.
Sure, the event actually took place, but it was of the Obama family serving Thanksgiving dinner to homeless people in 2015.

President Trump clears path to give military weapons to local police
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday, which clears the way for surplus military weapons to end up in the hands of local police departments.
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, made the announcement at Monday’s opening speeches of the Fraternal Order of Police national conference at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
"The president is proud to stand with you,” Sessions told a hall full of officers who stood and applauded. “We have your back. We back the blue.”
President Obama restricted the flow of surplus military weapons to local police departments in 2015. President Trump’s order dissolves those regulations.

Hurricane Katrina slams into Gulf Coast
Hurricane Katrina makes landfall near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 4 hurricane on this day in 2005. Despite being only the third most powerful storm of the 2005 hurricane season, Katrina was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States. After briefly coming ashore in southern Florida on August 25 as a Category 1 hurricane, Katrina gained strength before slamming into the Gulf Coast on August 29. In addition to bringing devastation to the New Orleans area, the hurricane caused damage along the coasts of Mississippi and Alabama, as well as other parts of Louisiana.
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ordered a mandatory evacuation of the city on August 28, when Katrina briefly achieved Category 5 status and the National Weather Service predicted “devastating” damage to the area. But an estimated 150,000 people, who either did not want to or did not have the resources to leave, ignored the order and stayed behind. The storm brought sustained winds of 145 miles per hour, which cut power lines and destroyed homes, even turning cars into projectile missiles. Katrina caused record storm surges all along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The surges overwhelmed the levees that protected New Orleans, located at six feet below sea level, from Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River. Soon, 80 percent of the city was flooded up to the rooftops of many homes and small buildings.

The internet attacks Joel Osteen and his church for Harvey response. But here’s the full story.
The internet ripped Lakewood Church and its lead pastor, Joel Osteen, Monday for the church’s perceived lack of adequate response to Hurricane Harvey — but there’s much more to the story than what is being alleged by critics on social media.
Lakewood, Osteen, and a spokesperson for the church all responded Monday to the heavy criticism that accused the Houston megachurch — which can accommodate nearly 17,000 people — of not taking in Hurricane Harvey victims during a time of need.
Many on social media voiced disappointment at a Saturday tweet originating from Osteen’s Twitter account, which read, “Victoria & I are praying for everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey. Please join us as we pray for the safety of our Texas friends & family.”

2 Far-Right Rallies In Bay Area Fizzle While Counterprotesters Rejoice
It was all, in effect, over before it even began.
In the face of overwhelming popular and political opposition, a far-right activist canceled a press conference hastily scheduled for Saturday afternoon that some feared would provoke violent confrontations in the heart of San Francisco. This came less than 18 hours after organizers also called off two highly publicized right-wing rallies planned for the Bay Area this weekend.
Counterprotesters arrived Saturday morning prepared to rebuke their opponents with signs and slogans. When the press conference never materialized, the crowds — relishing the turn of events — simply celebrated en masse.

Dallas prepares mega-shelter for thousands of Harvey evacuees
DALLAS —Dallas is preparing to open a mega-shelter at its downtown convention center as the city has been asked to get ready for what could be tens of thousands of evacuees from Harvey.
"We may have thousands upon thousands upon thousands of more individuals that will get bigger than this convention center," said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings in a Monday press conference inside the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.
Dallas authorities are aiming to open the shelter by Tuesday morning.
The city has also been asked to get ready for more people over the next few days and weeks, the mayor said.
"I'm not saying it's going to happen, but we've been asked to prepare for numbers that could be up in the tens of thousands," Rawlings said.

Charlottesville May Put the Brakes on Campus Free Speech Laws
The sight of white supremacists marching through the heart of the University of Virginia, carrying flaming Tiki torches and shouting “Jews will not replace us!” — followed by the killing of a counterprotester at a rally in downtown Charlottesville the next day — may put the brakes on state efforts to strengthen campus free speech protections.
At least seven states (Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Virginia) have enacted such laws since 2014, and many other states considered them this year. But the death of 32-year-old Heather Heyer in Charlottesville this month showed how hateful speech can lead to violence. That might prompt lawmakers to rethink how such bills are written or whether to support them at all.
"It has been really distressing and upsetting to watch violence used against protesters, and I expect that to have a profound effect on how lawmakers view these issues,” said Joe Cohn, legislative and policy director for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a nonpartisan group that helps lawmakers write free speech bills.
After Charlottesville, he said, “I think that my work may be cut out for me.”

SPLASH! OCEAN PINES DOGGIE SWIM RETURNS
The Mumford’s Landing Pool in Ocean Pines will be filled with dog-paddling pooches on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for its annual Doggie Swim.
“It’s a cool event during the dog days of summer,” said Ocean Pines Marketing and Public Relations Director Denise Sawyer. “The annual swim will give canines a chance to cool off and doggie paddle under the watchful eyes of their pet owners.”
The event is a fundraiser for the Worcester County Humane Society, a non-profit, no-kill shelter that relies primarily on donations.
The annual fundraiser allows both small and large dogs to drool in the pool, as their human companions enjoy the pool party at Mumford’s Landing Pool, located at 7351 Yacht Club Drive in Ocean Pines, before it closes for the season.
The cost of the Doggie Swim, which is open to the public, is $6 per dog and free for dog handlers. All dog handlers must be at least 18 years of age and youth under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Dogs should have current vaccinations, including rabies.

Police May Be Using Military Drones by 2025
By as early as 2025 American police departments might be ditching their choppers for modified versions of military drone aircraft, Defense One reported.
The drones are cheaper, fly longer, and are easier to hide from criminals being surveilled. And there is no crew aboard to be injured or killed in the event of a crash.
They also can be equipped with cameras powerful enough to identify a person from several miles away.
While that is expected to be a boon for law enforcement, it also raises privacy concerns.
But the more immediate issue facing drone-makers is one of regulation. Current FAA rules still apply to human-piloted craft, not those flown by people in distant areas like the military drones monitoring and attacking terrorist fighters in the Middle East.

American Red Cross volunteers heading to help along the gulf coast
BALTIMORE (WMAR) - "It's really sad to see the devastation in Texas, I know that they said this could be the worst disaster in that area ever recorded," said Amanda Pasko.
When the Anne Arundel County woman got the email, she says she didn't hesitate. Pasko has been training with the Red Cross for natural disaster relief for about eight months.
"I know that I had the time, and I knew that my work would be very flexible in allowing me to go, so immediately responded,” Pasko said. “We took a 2.5-hour preparation course in addition to all the courses that we took previously to get us ready for this deployment."
Pasko and about 100 other volunteers from the region are traveling more than 1,200 miles to the hardest hit areas of the gulf coast. None of them sure exactly what they will encounter.

North Korea Fires Missile Over Northern Japan
North Korea fired a missile that flew over Japan and landed in waters off the northern region of Hokkaido early on Tuesday, South Korean and Japanese officials said, marking a sharp escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula.
The test, which experts said appeared to have been an intermediate-range Hwasong 12 missile, came as U.S. and South Korean forces conduct annual military drills on the peninsula, against which North Korea strenuously objects.
Earlier this month, North Korea threatened to fire missiles into the sea near the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam after U.S. President Donald Trump warned Pyongyang would face "fire and fury" if it threatened the United States.

NYC Boosts Cigarette Prices to $13, Bans Sales by Pharmacies
New York boosted the minimum price of a pack of cigarettes by 24 percent to $13 and placed a cap on the number of tobacco sellers, part of the city’s biggest crackdown on smoking in more than a decade.
The anti-tobacco moves came in the form of a seven-point package of laws that Mayor Bill de Blasio signed Monday. The measures create a retail license fee for sellers of electronic cigarettes and almost double the licensing fee for tobacco retailers to $200. The city is also requiring all apartment buildings of three or more units to create explicit smoking policies, while banning smoking in all common areas.
Pharmacies will be prohibited from selling tobacco as their licenses begin to expire in 2018. The move will affect drug stores like Walgreens and Duane Reade that still sell cigarettes.

Shock and fear amid South Africa cannibalism case
Fear has gripped the village of Shayamoya in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province after the discovery of a decapitated body.
The family of Zanele Hlatshwayo, 25, who has been missing since July, believe she was a victim of a cannibalism ring that has so far led to the arrest of five men.
Her decomposing body was found after a man who claimed to be a traditional healer handed himself over to police last week and confessed that he was tired of eating human flesh.
Police officers had initially dismissed his statement, according to reports.
It is only after he produced a bloodied hand and foot as proof that he was immediately arrested. He led them to his rented home, where police found eight human ears in a cooking pot.
It is believed they were to be served to his customers, who were told they had magic properties and would convey money, power and protection.
Several other body parts were found stuffed in a suitcase.

‘I’m Gonna Try to Save Some Lives’
HOUSTON, Texas — As a volunteer rescuer from Texas City prepared to launch his boat on a Houston freeway, a reporter asked him what he was going to do. His answer revealed much about the attitude of being a Texan.
An unidentified reporter approached a man as he began putting his boat into the flooded river that yesterday was an interstate highway. The Independent Journal Review reports he asked the man, “You guys here to help out?”
The man responded “Yessir!”
He then asked the man what he “is about to do.”
The man responded, “I’m gonna go try to save some lives.” He then went on about his business of doing good for the flood victims in the Houston area.
In another video shown on Fox News, a Good Samaritan waded into a flooded roadway to rescue three people in distress.
Former Dallas Quarterback “Dandy Don” Merideth reportedly once said, “Never ask a man if he is from Texas. If he is, he’ll tell you. If he isn’t, don’t embarrass him.”

DHS takes next step on ‘extreme vetting’
Homeland Security announced Monday that it will soon require more people to undergo in-person interviews before they can gain a firmer legal footing in the U.S., carrying out yet another part of President Trump’s extreme vetting executive order.
While the so-called travel ban on six Muslim-majority countries has garnered most of the attention, it was just a temporary measure designed to give the government the space to stiffen its regular checks so it could be more adept at denying potential terrorists entry.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced one of those new policies Monday, saying it wants more people to have to face in-person interviews before they’re giving permanent status in the country.
The first two categories to require interviews, beginning Oct. 1, are people already in the U.S. on business visas who want to apply for permanent residency, and refugees or aslyees hoping to sponsor family members to join them here.
“This is the base for building extreme vetting,” said Matthew J. O’Brien, a former USCIS employee who is now director of research at the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
He said interviews are a key way to screen people for fraud or national security risks.
“You can only vet people if you have information, and one of the best ways to get information is to talk to people and then compare that info to objective info you get from other places,” he said. “if you don’t have these interviews you’re missing a fundamental step in the vetting process.”

3 Suspects Charged After They Beat A Student For Not Joining MS-13 Gang
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Officials have charged three suspects, after an area high school student reported they beat him after he refused to join the violent gang, MS-13.
The investigation started when a student said at least three people tried to force him to commit to MS-13. According to police, when he said no the situation went down hill.
As students get ready to return to school, there’s news of what allegedly occurred here at Annapolis High last school year.
Police say in March, at least two people cornered a student inside a bathroom and tried to force him to join MS-13.
“When the victim declined to join or refused to join, that’s when the assault occurred. They pushed him against the wall and punched him a few times,” says Marc Limansky with Anne Arundel Co. Police
19-year-old Juan Carlos Sandoval-Rodrigues and 18-year-old Irving Contreras Orellana, along with a juvenile have been indicted on gang related charges.

Gainor to NBC’s Chuck Todd on Antifa Violence: ‘You Own it’
Media Research Center Vice President of Business and Culture Dan Gainor joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Monday to discuss yesterday’s events in Berkeley and how media still refuses to condemn or acknowledge left wing violence at political rallies.
Speaking of Antifa in Berkeley, Gainor said, “They turned out particularly large yesterday. They were militant. They were violent. They attacked people, they attacked journalists, they were chanting, … ‘No Trump, No wall, no USA at all.”
Gainor also pointed out that NBC’s Chuck Todd “put on this guy Mark Bray from Dartmouth, put him on twice in one week to defend the violence of Antifa and here they are chanting this. The people who own this violence in Berkeley yesterday are people exactly like Chuck Todd.”

Newsletter Distributed on College Campus Calls for Banning Veterans
A newsletter distributed at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs says veterans shouldn't be in college:
The newsletter reads as follows:
"A four-year, traditional university is supposed to be a place of learning, of understanding, of safety and security. However, there is an element among us who may be frustrating those goals: Veterans.
UCCS is known for its number of veterans who are full and part-time students. But these veterans of much of the school prides themselves on may be hurting the university.
First off, many veterans openly mock the ideas of diversity and safe spaces for vulnerable members of society. This is directly in contradiction to the mission of UCCS. Many veterans utter the mantra that they, "do not see color". But the problem lies in their socialization into the military culture that is that of a white supremacist organization. They have been permanently tainted, and are no long fit for a four-year university.
Second, many students are frightened by the presence of veterans in their classrooms. Veterans usually have an overwhelming presence in the classroom, which can distract other students. This is usually true for vulnerable individual such as LGBTQQI2SAA, who have been known to be the butt of insensitive jokes made by veterans.

Lisa Boothe: When Will Democrats Denounce Antifa?
Violence erupted in Berkeley on Sunday when left-wing protesters surrounded and attacked at least five right-wing demonstrators.
They began kicking and punching the right-wing demonstrators until they were stopped by the police. Officers reported at least 13 arrests.
On "America's Newsroom" today, Lisa Boothe said it's important that we marginalize "hate groups" of all kinds.
"So many people came together to denounce what we saw in Charlottesville with those neo-Nazi groups, those white supremacists," Boothe said. "Unfortunately, we're not seeing that same rebuke of groups like Antifa."
She said she has yet to see one Democratic leader come out against violent left-wing groups and declare that what happened in Berkeley on Sunday is unacceptable.

Berkeley Police Allowed Antifa to Jump Barricades, Assault Demonstrators
Berkeley police deliberately allowed masked “Antifa” anarchists to jump a barricade and attack a demonstration by a peaceful right-wing group on Sunday, leading to five assaults, including on Patriot Prayer group leader Joey Gibson.
The counter-demonstration had reportedly been “largely peaceful” until that point.
The police later defended their decision by arguing that keeping the anarchists out would have led to greater violence. There was “no need for a confrontation over a grass patch,” Berkeley police chief Andrew Greenwood said, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
The original “No to Marxism” protest had been denied a permit by the city, but a small group of protesters showed up anyway, as did 2,000 “largely peaceful” counter-demonstrators, the Mercury News reported. SFGate.com reported that there were 400 police on hand to prevent violence. But they stepped aside, the Mercury News reported, when over 100 masked anarchists “busted through police lines, avoiding security checks by officers to take away possible weapons.”

ACLU FILES LAWSUIT CHALLENGING TRUMP'S TRANSGENDER SERVICE MEMBER BAN
MARYLAND - The American Civil Liberties Union today filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration challenging the president's directive banning transgender service members from continuing to serve in the military or receiving medically necessary health care, and banning men and women who are transgender from enlisting.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of the ACLU of Maryland and five current members of the armed forces who are transgender: Petty Officer First Class Brock Stone, Senior Airman John Doe, Airman First Class Seven Ero George, Petty Officer First Class Teagan Gilbert, and Technical Sergeant Tommie Parker.
In the lawsuit, the ACLU argues that the ban violates the constitutional guarantees of equal protection and substantive due process by singling out transgender individuals for unequal and discriminatory treatment. The lawsuit argues that the ban discriminates based on sex and transgender status and that the ban is based on uninformed speculation, myths and stereotypes, moral disapproval, and a bare desire to harm this already vulnerable group.
"Each and every claim made by the President Trump to justify this ban can be easily debunked by the conclusions drawn from the Department of Defense's own review process. Allowing men and women who are transgender to serve openly and providing them with necessary health care does nothing to harm military readiness or unit cohesion," said Josh Block, senior staff attorney with the ACLU's LGBT & HIV Project. "Men and women who are transgender with the courage and capacity to serve deserve more from their commander-in-chief."

School Notes: Trump attire not grounds for classroom removal
Frederick County Public Schools teachers should not remove students just for wearing political attire like one Washington County teacher threatened to in a Facebook post last week.
The only reason a student could be asked to change out of apparel promoting President Donald Trump would be if the student’s clothing is disruptive to class or the school environment, said FCPS Communications Director Michael Doerrer.
Last week, a Washington County Public Schools teacher came under fire for a Facebook post where he wrote that he would remove students from his class for wearing Trump apparel.
The post from Smithsburg High School teacher Joshua Cramer, which has since been deleted, drew backlash from many on the social media network.

TEXAS PASTOR JOEL OSTEEN RESPONDS TO HURRICANE HARVEY CRITICISM AFTER CHURCH REMAINS CLOSED TO VICTIMS
Texas pastor Joel Osteen has responded after the televangelist was slammed for not opening his megachurch to victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Osteen, the lead pastor of Lakewood Church—which is located at a 16,800-seat stadium that previously hosted the NBA’s Houston Rockets—said in a statement issued late on Monday that the church had “never closed our doors.”
“We will continue to be a distribution center to those in need. We are prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm,” said Osteen in the statement quoted by ABC News.

Trump: Dems Pardoned Marc Rich, Susan Rosenberg, Chelsea Manning
President Trump blasted critics of his decision to pardon Sheriff Joe Arpaio, noting President Clinton pardoned or commuted the sentences of Marc Rich and a woman from the left-wing "Weather Underground" militant group.
John Roberts asked Trump about the pardon, inquiring whether the president had a message for his critics.
"He's done a great job for the people of Arizona," Trump said. "I thought he was treated unbelievably unfairly."
Trump said his critics should look to past administrations for examples of presidential pardons that should be criticized.
He said that in contrast to past pardons, Arpaio has been a force in fighting illegal immigration and supporting law enforcement.
Trump said President Obama pardoned FALN member Oscar Lopez Rivera and convicted U.S. military leaker Chelsea Manning.
He pointed out that President Clinton also pardoned investor Marc Rich, who he said illegally bought oil from Iran during the Hostage Crisis.
In 1983, Rich was convicted on 65 counts of tax evasion, wire fraud and his actions involving Tehran.
Trump surmised that Rich was pardoned because he gave "hundreds of thousands of dollars" to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

VIDEO: “No Trump, no wall, no USA at all”
The Democratic Party’s hard-left enforcers made their intentions clear on Sunday when they chanted, “No Trump, no wall, no USA at all,” on the Berkeley campus.
Dressed in black with gas masks, members of Antifa chanted for the downfall of America as they attacked Trump supporters in the latest rash of leftist violence.
Video from a news helicopter shows agitators swarming opponents and attacking them viciously.
No police could be seen as Antifa attacked indiscriminately..

Senior citizens in viral photo rescued from flooded assisted living center in Houston
The senior citizens who appear in a now-viral photo showing them submerged in waist-deep water in a Texas assisted-living center flooded by Hurricane Harvey over the weekend have been relocated to a nearby facility and a hospital.
Tim McIntosh, whose mother-in-law owns the facility in Dickinson, Texas, told The Associated Press Monday the National Guard rescued 20 people Sunday, about three hours after he shared on Twitter the harrowing photo of the living room of the La Vita Bella facility. The photo shows at least six senior citizens waist-deep in murky water, at least one sitting on a rolling walker, in a room with a popcorn machine, a cat and some bottles of water on a table.
"They are all doing fine," said McIntosh, who defended facility owner, Trudy Lampson, who some accused on social media of not evacuating the facility on time. He said Lampson had made arrangements to evacuate the residents, but local authorities told her to stay put.
"The nursing home had to follow protocol because it's a big ordeal to evacuate it," he said. "These ladies are on wheelchairs and most of them on oxygen."

Deadly Racism, Two Presidents, and the Lying 'News' Media
Remember when Obama wouldn't condemn Black Lives Matter after 5 cops were murdered?
What would we find, specifically, if we examined how America's most influential media outlets used their news pages (as distinguished from their opinion pages) to report on how Presidents Trump and Obama, respectively, responded to homicides that occurred in racially charged circumstances?
Let's take a good look at the facts..

Cancelling Patriot Prayer
Freedom of speech in America is under assault by the Left like never before.
The constitutionally-suspect shutting down of Patriot Prayer's tiny, properly permitted rally at a federal park in San Francisco Saturday is yet more proof of the political ascendancy of the evil ultra-violent "antifa" street thug movement. The Left now has the power to dictate what is and is not acceptable speech in California and many parts of the country.
Patriot Prayer is an innocuous Tea Party-ish group that only wanted to conduct a rally to affirm its members support for free speech. Instead the group has been smeared relentlessly -- and now as it turns out, persecuted by state actors.
As Fox News reports:
"Joey Gibson, who is Japanese American and leads Patriot Prayer, said his group disavows racism and hatred and wanted to promote dialogue with people who may not share its views. He cancelled a planned rally Saturday at a field under the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge after he said his members received anonymous threats on social media and feared civic leaders and law enforcement would fail to protect them."
The official excuse for sabotaging conservative events is always “public safety,” even though left-wingers never have a problem getting their message out. Given the track record of authorities in California in dealing with conservative speakers, Gibson’s fear that his supporters would be vulnerable to attack by antifa were completely justified.

Free speech bill in Ohio aimed at college campuses
Columbus Ohio may join several other states that have adopted laws designed to protect free speech on college campuses.
Ohio House Education Committee Chairman Andrew Brenner, R-Powell, and state Rep. Wes Goodman, R-Cardington, will hold a press conference Tuesday to discuss a new bill addressing free speech policies at public colleges and universities.
Several states have either adopted laws or are considering bills to ban university policies that relegate protesters to “free speech zones.” Some states have also required universities to sanction those who interfere with the free speech of others.

'New' Dem hope Maxine Waters turns 79
The Democratic Party fancies itself as the party of the future, but one of its top stars was born when gasoline was only 10 cents a gallon.
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters turns 79 years old today.
It’s been quite a year for Mad Max, who is darling of the “Resist Trump” crowd and one of the Democrats’ newest hopes.
While Waters was yukking it up with the ladies on “The View” in early August, she said after Democrats are done impeaching President Trump, they’re going to go after “Putin” next.

More Than 1-In-4 Nursing Home Abuse Cases May Go Unreported To Police

TWO STATES IN THE MIDDLE OF AMERICA!
Illinois and Oklahoma:
I thought these two states, made for an interesting contrast. The first part about Illinois and the second part is about Oklahoma!
PART 1 - Illinois
"A State with No Republicans"!
Some interesting data on the 'state' of the State of Illinois. There are more people on welfare in Illinois than there are people working. Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S. Their average pay is $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what? Be sure to read till the end. I've never heard it explained better. Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?
Body count:
In the last six months, 292killed (murdered) in Chicago.
221 killed in Iraq ;AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.
This was Chicago´s chain of command:
President: Barack Hussein Obama.
Senator: Dick Durbin.
House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. .
Governor: Pat Quinn.
House leader: Mike Madigan.
Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike).
Mayor: Rahm Emanuel.
The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
Let us get All the facts out while we are at it:
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he was going to 'fix'Washington politics for us?
George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in prison.
He was replaced by Rob Blagojevich who is, by the way, also in prison.
And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned and, that's right, he and his wife are both in prison.
The Land of Lincoln, where our Governors and Representatives make our license plates. What?
As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go bankrupt before the country does.
"Anybody who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian."
Don't forget Detroit, another great example of a Democratic empire.
With all the bad news, there is hope, so let's go to:
PART 2- Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA- may soon have plenty of new residents!
Oklahoma is the only state that Obama did not win even one county in the last election... While everyone is focusing on Arizona's new law, look what Oklahoma has been doing!!!
An update from Oklahoma:
Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9 an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values... HB 1330
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. HB1804. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Recently they passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional SB1102.
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Several weeks ago, Oklahoma passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining, Texas, Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.
More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once
again. HJR 1003
The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a setback for the criminals The Liberals didn't like it-
But...
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL drivers' license exams will be printed in English and only English and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English. Really simple.
I thought these two states, made for an interesting contrast. The first part about Illinois and the second part is about Oklahoma!
