Alert:   The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
Somerset County in southeastern Maryland...
Wicomico County in southeastern Maryland...
Western Worcester County in southeastern Maryland...
Northeastern Dorchester County in southeastern Maryland...
North central Accomack County in southeastern Virginia...

* Until 445 PM EDT

* At 245 PM EDT,  Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in
minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain
have fallen in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salisbury, Fruitland, Pocomoke City, Princess Anne, University Of
Maryland Eastern Shore, Salisbury University, Delmar, Snow Hill,
Hebron, Sharptown, Vienna, Westover, Parsonsburg, Marion Station,
Lawsonia, West Pocomoke, Pittsville, Willards, Mardela Springs and
Brookview.

  3. Years ago I looked into buying a unit in Canal Woods and was very taken with the area until the Realtor told me that flood insurance was involved. NO THANKS. That tells people the possibilities.
