Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Gun Charges
Laurel- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel man after he was found to be in possession of drugs and guns following a traffic stop on Friday.
The investigation began at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, as troopers were on patrol in the area of Laurel Road and Shiloh Church Road, east of Laurel. It was at this time that they observed a dark colored Ford F-150 pick-up truck traveling at a high rate of speed on Laurel Road. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the truck, and upon coming into contact with the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Millard L. Bouchard, 53, of Laurel, they detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted at which time troopers located 9 bags of heroin and 12.7 grams of marijuana inside. Millard Bouchard was then taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant was then obtained for the residence of Bouchard, located in the 18000 block of Phillips Hill Road, Laurel, and upon execution of the warrant, troopers from the Sussex County Drug located an AR-15 assault rifle equipped with a homemade silencer, a Ruger .22 caliber handgun, ammunition, and 2.47 pounds of marijuana.
Millard Bouchard was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity, three counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Possession of a Destructive Weapon, Maintaining a Drug Property, and Possession of a Counterfeit Substance. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $62,000.00 secured bail.

Women’s March National Co-Chair: Sharia Law is ‘Reasonable’ ,' Misunderstood’
(CNSNews.com) – Linda Sarsour, a national co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington – whose stated mission is “to send a bold message…that women’s rights are human rights” – is also an outspoken advocate of Islamic Sharia Law that restricts the rights of women, claiming Sharia is “reasonable” and has simply been “misunderstood.”
“We will not rest until women have parity and equity at all levels of leadership in society. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all,” the Women’s March mission statement says, in part.
Sarsour, a Palestinian Muslim American, who has said she believes that America is a nation built on the values of genocide and slavery and that “nothing is creepier than Zionism,” spoke at the Women’s March last Saturday.
“I will respect the presidency,” she said. “But I will not respect this President of the United States of America."

A New Era Has Begun...
By Thornton Crowe
Watching the Inauguration, I couldn't help but sense a divided nation, still polarized by a man who wants to bring Patriotism back to our country. Like the by gone Civics classes on steroids, more Americans have learned about the Electoral College, our Democratic Republic and US Constitution than in any elections prior.
Many have demonized President Trump throughout his campaign for daring to say, "America first." It leaves one to wonder why its bad for us to be the President's number one concern and special interest group? Years of Media and Educational brainwashing taught Gen Xers, Yers and Millennials that we should all be ashamed of our country.
Think about it, if it weren't for Henry Ford, would people all over the world be driving? If it weren't for those crazy Wright brothers, would we be able to go from coast to coast in six hours? If it weren't for a geek like Steve Jobs, would we carry a personal computer in our pocket every time we leave our homes? Now, we can't even conceive of our lives before planes, automobiles and Smartphones, yet, we take it all for granted.
For far too long, we've been told to deny the wondrous contributions America has contributed to the world. Instead, we've been made to feel like we owe some grand apology for our existence for daring to be innovative and creative.
Not everyone reading this will fully appreciate what his address offered to us but as for being divisive, it was far from it. The President specifically stated, America is going back to the People - all people. The elite days of rulership are over - and while he stood with his back to them, he put both Houses on notice, it's the dawn of a new era in American governance where action is required.
I look forward to the coming days as President Trump walks us back to what the Constitution gave us not what the political afforded us. I look forward to the many battles he will no doubt face against a dishonest Media that has been in collusion with the Democrats for far too long. He is not going to sit down and take abuse; but instead, he will scrimmage not only for himself but every citizen in this country.
President Trump is unique because, for the first time since our Founders, a regular citizen is now the the leader. I've said many times, this is exactly what our Framers envisioned for our country's governance. Therefore, by measuring him to their rules, the DC establishment and political pundits alike, are in for a very long and tumultuous four to eight years.

"At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other..."What President Trump said in his inaugural speech is true: It is not our place to impose our standards of democracy on any other country. He respects countries of the world to keep their people's interests first - therefore, his America First is not one-sided nor narcissistic.
"When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice."This is why many voted for Donald John Trump - we saw his vision, which didn't pull from Republicans or Democrats ideologies but from a place where pride in one's country is king. He gave us license to feel good about ourselves again because as successful people know, this is a key ingredient in achieving success that can't be bought.
I look forward to the coming days as President Trump walks us back to what the Constitution gave us not what the political afforded us. "When America is united, America is totally unstoppable..."Yes, we've entered a new era - one which holds many hopes and it is up to each of us to either embrace it or reject it. We now have our first CEO president and adjustments will be made to accommodate. As Americans before political affiliation, it would behoove us all to support him as he defends our best interests against an establishment who has been all too happy to see many of us fail year after year.
DOES EVERYONE GET A FREE TROPHY?
OR DO THEY EARN IT.
Look, I'm in the news business and for the life of me, I still can't tell you exactly what the women's march in D.C. is/was all about.
Honest to God, I mean no disrespect with this article. You see, I grew up with a Mother who raised 5 children on her own. I watched my Mother work her tail off to provide and work every single hour of overtime they would allow.
After getting divorced, she went back to college and became a bookkeeper at Volkswagen of America. I look at women like Sandy Fitzgerald, Dawn Tilghman and so many other local and very successful women here on the Shore who have proven, if you want it enough, if you work hard enough, IF IT'S MEANT TO BE, it will happen.
On the other side of the coin there is an even larger volume of people out there who WANT certain things and could never achieve such desired success but will march on Washington with hate, pointing fingers, blaming everyone else because, well, life if just unfair on these snowflake dreamers. Did I mention it's all Donald Trump's fault. Tell that to Kelly Anne, above.
I have tremendous respect for hard working women and I firmly believe each individual will receive rewards for their hard work and dedication. Look, you make life what it is.
All that being said, educate me, please. Just what was this march on Washington all about, because while I have read articles and watched local television news, I JUST DON'T GET IT! But I do wish I would've bought stock in tissue companies a week ago.
Maybe I do get it, (hence this article) but there's been so many mixed crying interviews that I am absolutely confused.
Hate me all you want, every woman I personally know have worked their rear ends off and have earned everything they have. Trust me, I don't hang with the Liberal crowd and because I stand firm in my beliefs, they want nothing to do with me either. I just want to understand what the hell that march was all about.
Thank You.

The Entire Senior Management Team At The State Department Just Resigned
Demonstrating just how ideologically alligned with the Obama administration was the entire US State Department, moments ago the WaPo reported that "the entire senior level of management officials resigned Wednesday, part of an ongoing mass exodus of senior foreign service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era."
The mass resignation took place as Rex Tillerson was inside the State Department’s headquarters in Foggy Bottom on Wednesday, taking meetings and getting the lay of the land.
According to WaPo's Josh Rogin who suddenly has no more senior level sources left at State:
"I reported Wednesday morning that the Trump team was narrowing its search for his No. 2, and that it was looking to replace the State Department’s long-serving undersecretary for management, Patrick Kennedy. Kennedy, who has been in that job for nine years, was actively involved in the transition and was angling to keep that job under Tillerson, three State Department officials told me."
Then suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, Kennedy and three of his top officials resigned unexpectedly, four State Department officials confirmed. Assistant Secretary of State for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry O. Smith, director of the Office of Foreign Missions, followed him out the door. All are career foreign service officers who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations.
Additionally, "Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security Gregory Starr retired Jan. 20, and the director of the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, Lydia Muniz, departed the same day. That amounts to a near-complete housecleaning of all the senior officials that deal with managing the State Department, its overseas posts and its people."
“It’s the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate,” said David Wade, who served as State Department chief of staff under Secretary of State John Kerry. “Department expertise in security, management, administrative and consular positions in particular are very difficult to replicate and particularly difficult to find in the private sector.”

A Message From Martin O'Malley
I want to personally thank you for coming to the Women’s March on Washington in DC, attending a Sister March, donating to support the cause, or joining in solidarity. Whether we connected or not in the tremendous crowd, we were all there together.
I hope this weekend was a hugely empowering experience for you as it was for me and my family. After all, democracies don’t take their cues from top-down; democracies respond to the masses. And if President Trump thinks he can shred our health care or discriminate against our fellow citizens, he will find even bigger crowds marching on Washington.
Keep hope alive.
Yours truly,
Martin

“So we are on Facebook, we are on YouTube, we have been in movie theaters.”

Rising Sea Levels Threaten Md. Coastlines
BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A new warning that rising waters in the Chesapeake could threaten Maryland’s coastline in just a few decades. On Tuesday, a new report says it could be worse than people first imagined.
NOAA believes sea levels could increase by as much as 8 feet within 8 decades. That may not seem like a lot, but 6 million Americans, including Marylanders, could be displaced.
The report says the northeast has a high risk. Prominently displayed on the front page was Ocean City, Maryland.
At best, levels could rise by a foot, but the worst case scenario means levels could creep upwards of 8 feet by the year 2100.
Groups like Environment Maryland have lobbied the governor to take action now.

Hillary Clinton Reportedly Mulling TV Show to Prep Third White House Run
Hillary Clinton is now reportedly considering a new television show to help her prepare for another White House run.
“She’s been talking very seriously about the idea of having her own television show,”a close Clinton insider told author Ed Klein, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday. “As a TV host, she’d discuss the issues of the day from a progressive point of view, have top guests, interview world leaders and progressive thinkers.”
The idea of the show would be to help Clinton stay in the limelight and remain a leader opposing President Donald Trump’s agenda. After a surprise loss to Trump in November, many thought that Clinton’s chances of becoming president were over.
However, the purpose of the show would be to prepare for a 2020 presidential run, according to Klein’s source.
“She thinks being the host of a popular TV show would energize the Democratic Party base and her tens of millions of fans. It’s a way to make a comeback and position herself for another run at the White House starting in a year or so,” the source said.

THIS IS AMERICA, YOU LIBERAL IDIOTS!
Liberals wonder and have even challenged Donald Trump for the past two years, I thought America was always great. NO!
It's these Liberal Idiots who go around in these costumes, (like local Chuck Cook) to get their pictures taken, bash out windows, light properties on fire and then tell US that we are destroying America.
Do you Liberals realize, other countries are WATCHING! YOU are an embarrassment to America, world wide. YOU have way too much time on your hands and guess what, it's images like the one above that will one day force our government to change our constitutional rights because of jackasses like YOU. I mean seriously, how much lower can a human being go?
Liberals are the problem in America, NOT ONE MAN Donald Trump. Make prostitution LEGAL and guess what, life would not only be a lot less expensive, these marches/outfits would end immediately.

JUST IN: Trump moves to build border wall, cut sanctuary city funds
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump moved aggressively to tighten the nation’s immigration policies Wednesday, signing executive actions to jumpstart construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall and block federal grants from immigrant-protecting “sanctuary cities.”
“We’ve been talking about this right from the beginning,” Trump said during a brief signing ceremony at the Department of Homeland Security.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the White House had not circulated copies of the documents or briefed reporters on the details, as has been typical practice in past administrations. But Trump cast his actions as fulfillment of his campaign pledge to enact hard-line immigration measures, including construction of a wall paid for by Mexico. U.S. taxpayers are expected to pay for the upfront costs, though Trump continues to assert that Mexico will reimburse the money through unspecified means.

Well Idiots, fortunately you are safe here on the Shore as it's difficult to find anything over two stories. Nevertheless, have at it, fools.
Subject: John Mackenzie Wessels
John "Mac" Mackenzie Wessels, 23, a bright, gentle son, most recently of Pasadena, CA passed away on January 13, 2017 of a drug overdose. Mac, the only child of Debbie and Michael Wessels, was raised in the loving and fun "village" of High Banks in Salisbury, Maryland.
This obituary is shared with the hope that others will read it and have more insight into the mental health crisis our children face and it's direct relationship to the disease of addiction.
Mac was a solid student and a happy kid. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything from a captivating politician to a brilliant engineer, but addictive behaviors began to creep into Mac's life before leaving for college. Recognizing his struggles and strife, the family engaged in counseling with the hope to provide Mac with a toolbox for life.
He graduated from The Salisbury School in 2011 and received the Presidential Scholarship to attend Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. He left for college in fall but his anxiety and depression plus his addiction impeded his education. From there, the next four years were a blur of drug rehab facilities, moments of recovery, followed by relapses..

Mayor: Baltimore 'welcoming' city for immigrants, not 'sanctuary'
BALTIMORE —Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh has set the record straight about her policies concerning undocumented immigrants.
The mayor's remarks Wednesday comes as the new president cracks down on so-called sanctuary cities.
The mayor said she wants immigrants to feel welcome in Baltimore, but she's not using that term that has caught the ire of the president.
Pugh said it is a matter of policy that Baltimore police officers are not to ask about a person's immigration status when they encounter the public.

A Viewer Writes: Comcast scammer in Salisbury?
Hi Joe,
I am perplexed by a recent situation....on Thursday night while I was at work, a Comcast van pulled into my driveway and a guy got out and talked to my son. He explained that he was there to "confiscate" our Internet equipment because our bill was late. (And it IS late) My son said no way, my Mom will pay it... But this is the strange part, he told my son that he would "leave it on" IF I would call him directly and pay with my credit card.
I had never heard of paying a Comcast Tech directly by calling his personal cell. After I thought about it, and after the same guy called me the following day soliciting my card number, that's when I called Comcast. The person I got on the phone said that it is not their policy to do that, yet they have no answer as to how this person had my info, and that they hadn't sent him to my house let alone allowing him to be soliciting payment by credit card! Please look into this for me, I hope no one else has given this guy their info. Let them be warned!

New Video Released; Questions Surround Motorcade’s Role In Fatal Wreck
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Questions persist about a congressional motorcade that investigators say led to a deadly crash on a busy Maryland interstate Wednesday morning.
U.S. Capitol Police will not release the names of the powerful senators who were traveling to a retreat, causing a dump truck to slam into one of the drivers who stopped for the senator’s motorcade on Interstate 70.
Now there are concerns about whether the motorcade itself was needed, and whether it created a dangerous situation.
New video shows Democratic senators leaving the Capitol on two buses during Wednesday morning rush hour. The VIP motorcade was surrounded by a U.S. Capitol Police detail.

Salisbury Adopts Citywide Bike Network Plan
Salisbury – Mayor Jake Day is pleased to announce the City Council’s approval of the Salisbury Bicycle Network Plan. This plan, which strategically increases the number of bike lanes across Salisbury, is the product of community and professional collaboration.
Bike lanes can already be seen on Riverside Drive, Camden Avenue, and Mount Hermon Road within the City. Roads receiving higher priority for the installation of new bike lanes in this plan are: East College Avenue, West College Avenue, South Division Street, Long Avenue, Glen Avenue, Beaglin Park Drive, East Main Street, West Main Street, Fitzwater Street, and Parsons Road, as well as a rail trail from Fruitland to Delmar.
Constructing bike lanes across Salisbury is expected to boost long-term economic growth for the City and its businesses. Across America, bike lanes have been shown to increase property values and enhance sales for businesses which border them.
A 2012 study by the American Public Health Association shows that the more bike lanes within a municipality, the safer roads are for bikers, walkers, and drivers—especially in areas where high volume traffic is common. Non-traditional and traditional commuters alike experience safer, easier commutes.
Mayor Day said, “When you consider the positive economic impact of increased bicycle traffic on top of the safety benefits, you can easily see why cycling should be a priority for any community that’s looking to succeed – and we are that community.”

Owner of limo torched in DC says insurance unlikely to pay
WASHINGTON (AP) — Insurance likely won’t cover the damage to a limousine set on fire during an Inauguration Day protest in Washington, the limo company president says.
Muhammad Ashraf, the president of the Virginia-based Nationwide Chauffeured Services, said Monday that replacing the car could cost tens of thousands of dollars. Insurance would cover vandalism but may not cover his situation because the car was damaged in a riot, he said.
More than 230 people were arrested after self-described anti-capitalists began breaking the windows of businesses, the limo and an emergency vehicle Friday, the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Court paperwork says the group did more than $100,000 in damage.

A Viewer Writes: Wicomico County Housing Authority
I stumbled upon this, and maybe viewers know the answer.
There are boarded up homes, (appears they are all owned by
Wicomico County Housing Authority) all over Fruitland and Salisbury.
We stumbled upon some on Davis St, Grace St, Off Hammond St, etc.
Why? I am told they have been like that for years.
If I was a citizen and had a vacant boarded up home would that be legal?
Didn't Ireton start a humiliation campaign against homeowners for this?
How is this legal, fair or safe? Talk about bringing down a neighborhood's value.
Why is the county not held to the same standards the citizens are?
You can find these on google maps.
Just to name a few of the many:

145 Davis St

700 Jefferson St

DC Police Wore "P***y Hats" in Support of Soros-Linked Protest
Far-left organizations use brainwashed masses as cover to promote their agenda
Several members of the Metropolitan Police Department of DC were observed wearing pink “pussy hats” in support of the Soros-linked anti-Trump “Women’s March” that gripped the capitol following Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The photos, obtained by The Daily Caller, appear to show several police officers assisting people with passing through the crowd of protestors while another group of officers wearing pink “pussy hats” were taking pictures with protestors.
The hats were knitted and distributed as part of the Pussyhat Project, which sought to call attention to the “mistreatment” of women in our society.

Laurel Police Officer's Vehicle Strikes Local Church In Bethel 1-25-17
There's a reason I've provided so many pictures of this scene. If you look at the parking lot, (gravel) you'll notice there's no scrapes or disturbance in the stones. Someone never hit the brakes?
If you know this area, it's a 25 MPH zone. Do tell us how a vehicle could swerve off the main road and directly into the Church/Community Center without slamming on the brakes.
Some witnesses are seriously questioning just WHO was at the wheel at the time. Perhaps that will be answered in comments.
It turns out two Laurel Officers were first to show up on the scene and then at a later point a DE. State Police showed up. No breathalyzer was taken, according to witnesses. Welcome to the Eastern Shore.
