Bill Ayers Turns Against Obama On Syria

NEW YORK – Leftist political activist and University of Chicago professor Bill Ayers has turned on Barack Obama, characterizing the president’s determination to launch a military attack on the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria as a “dumb war.”

In a series of posts on his Internet website over the past few days, Ayers has come out swinging, attacking the presidential candidate he backed in 2004 for trying to justify a U.S. strike on Syria.

In what appears to be satire aimed at mocking President Obama, Ayers posted Sunday, Sept. 8, a diatribe suggesting Assad has already authorized launch missile strikes against the United States.

After Wife Of 63 Years Dies, Man Catches Date With Second Love

For years, Allan Munroe refused to leave his wife's side. Norma, his bride of more than six decades, was battling stage four lung cancer.

As her health declined, Munroe welcomed the distraction of his second love: the Boston Red Sox. He kept his TV tuned to his favorite team's games to keep his mind off losing the woman he describes as the "better part of himself."

Norma Munroe died in May. Angela McKinnon said that after her grandmother's death she knew she had to get her grandfather to Fenway one last time, if only because of his age and health.

BREAKING NEWS: Major Police Activity On Onley Rd

State Police are assisting Salisbury Police. We're told two people have allegedly been shot. Witnesses say it is in the "Zoo" Onley Rd. area. More to come...

UPDATE: Sources have informed Salisbury News TWO students are dead, (one victim, one shooter, both males) and ONE female victim was also shot and is in surgery at PRMC.

Original Post went up at 6:42 PM.

PRMC Makes The Following Announcements

UPDATE: Salisbury News just learned closing the Transitional Care Unit will lay off anywhere from 30 to 50 dedicated employees. In their meeting today they brought in head hunters to allegedly help these people find work elsewhere. One person told me they are trying to cut $30,000,000 dollars off their budget. It does not look good for PRMC.

The message below was posted on PRMC's facebook page.

When Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Transitional Care Unit (TCU) was opened in 1997, it was created to help fill a growing need for sub-acute services in the Salisbury community. Sixteen years ago, patients who required sub-acute rehabilitation were being delayed in their recovery due to the hospital not being able to find suitable places for those patients to go upon discharge.

However, factors such as the changing healthcare delivery model, advances in care, and practice patterns, especially in orthopaedics, mean that many patients no longer require inpatient hospital rehabilitation and can instead go home with the assistance of outpatient services. These factors, along with declining lengths of stay and an increase of rehabilitation options in the community, such as the opening of HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehab Hospital and expansion of Genesis Salisbury Nursing and Rehab Center, have led Peninsula Regional Medical Center to a decision to close its transitional care unit (TCU) beginning today.

“During its tenure the TCU and its team have provided exceptional service, but the unit has achieved its goal and a duplication of these types of services is no longer necessary. This is a trend occurring across the nation as the need for in-hospital, sub-acute care is diminishing,” said Christopher Hall, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for PRMC.

The 30-bed, non-acute unit, located on the third floor of the Medical Center, is operated with joint venture partner Genesis Healthcare and cares for a limited number of patients who require non-acute, skilled medical services. These services are provided at numerous centers in and around the local community.

The TCU will stop accepting patients today and continue to work with patients, families for a smooth transition to alternate care. The unit will permanently close following the discharge of its final remaining patient.

“As healthcare is continuing to change, we must continue to adapt. That means evaluating all services we offer inside the hospital walls, as well as the services offered elsewhere in our community, and removing the duplication,” added Hall. “Currently there is an acute rehabilitation hospital and many excellent skilled nursing homes within the community, allowing patients to stay close to families, creating a diminishing need for hospital-based sub-acute care. Given the existing quality community facilities, and our partnership with Genesis Healthcare, it was a logical decision for these patients to be cared for in the most appropriate setting.”

Approximately 43 employees will be affected by these changes. PRMC will work with these individuals to try to find them other positions within the health system or with other skilled nursing facilities in our area.

Incredible Accusations Against Berlin Fire Department

Below is just one part of the accusations against the Berlin Fire Department. Read entire court document HERE

24. On or about December 26, 201 2, the Plaintiff was on duty as a Paramedic/EMT when a call was received for multiple ambulances to respond to an automobile collision to attend
to several seriously injured occupants of the vehicles. Mr. Tyndall responded from the Berlin Fire Company. When Mr. Tyndall arrived on the scene he immediately went to assist an injured
occupant. It took him considerable time to assess and stabilize the victim for transportation due  to the seriousness of the injuries. Mr. Tyndall had to continuously "bag breathe" the patient to
maintain respiration. During this time, the victim had to be cut out of the vehicle. Eventually, Mr. Tyndall was able to get the patient on a stretcher. However, when he requested assistance to
get the stretcher to the ambulance, members of the Berlin Fire Company on scene refused to assist him in moving the stretcher to the ambulance. There were a lot of members of the BFC on
the scene including Defendant Trimble.

Berlin EMT Files $8M Civil Suit Over Alleged Abuses

BERLIN — The other shoe dropped this week in the ongoing dispute between Berlin and its fire company when a former firefighter and EMT filed an $8 million civil suit against the department over an alleged pattern of harassment and intimidation over his perceived sexual orientation.

Former firefighter/paramedic Zachary Tyndall, through his attorney James Otway, filed suit in U.S. District Court alleging consistent harassment and intimidation carried out by the department’s leadership over his perceived sexual orientation. The suit, which names the Berlin Fire Company, Chief Bryon Trimble, Assistant Chief Derrick Simpson, former EMS Supervisor Norris Donohue, Jr. and BFC President David Fitzgerald as defendants, is seeking $2 million in compensatory damages and another $6 million in punitive damages.

The suit alleges individual defendants carried out a “deliberate and conscious effort” to harass and intimidate Tyndall in an attempt to drive him out of the department because of the defendants’ perception of Tyndall’s sexual orientation. The alleged pattern of abuse included repeated derogatory slurs and a pattern of offenses aimed at driving Tyndall to quit the department he had been a full-time employee of since 2008 and a cadet since he was 14 years old.

Outrage Over Outhouse Labeled 'Obama's Presidential Library'

TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Most Presidential libraries are constructed after the President completes his term. However, according to KOAT-ABC, a New Mexico man has determined the location for President Obama's library and has marked it with a sign that is sparking controversy in one small town.

The sign rests on top of an outhouse. It reads: Obama's Presidential Library.

Some in town view the sign as bad taste while others are supportive. One man told a local reporter that folks are treating it as a tourist destination and that it is frequently photographed.

Report: AT&T Maintains Record Of Everywhere You’ve Ever Used Your Phone

AT&T maintains an extensive record detailing every location their customers have ever used their phones, according to a New York Times article published on Sunday.

The revelations were revealed in a NYT story highlighting “Hemisphere,” a partnership between AT&T and law enforcement officials working in a counternarcotics program which gave authorities access to phone data.

According to the article, law enforcement officials have access to a trove of AT&T data that “includes information on the locations of callers” of “every call that passes through an AT&T switch — not just those made by AT&T customers.”

Watching local news this morning was infuriating. the coverage was ALL about the university girl, WHO is still living, very little about the young man who GAVE his LIFE for that girl. That just seems the opposite of what I would think there would be. Why I ask?
Is the girl an "easier" story or is there another objective/agenda?

Gold Star Mom To Poker Player McCain: 'I'm Sorry the Lives Of Our Brave Warriors Bore You'

Responding to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) playing online poker on his iPhone during yesterday’s Senate hearing with Secretary of State John Kerry over war with Syria, Gold Star mother Debbie Lee fired back in an exclusive comment to Breitbart News. “It infuriates me,” she said. “We are facing the possibility of sending our sons and daughters to a war, conflict, military action or whatever politically correct term you use – an action that could change the world as we know it – and McCain couldn’t care less.”Lee is the founder of America’s Mighty Warriors, a non-profit focusing on Gold Star moms. She lost her son, Navy SEAL Marc Alan Lee, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, on August 2, 2006. Navy officers said that Marc died after single-handedly fighting off enemy fighters as his team rescued a wounded soldier. He fired 100 rounds of ammunition before being killed.

Baltimore Ravens To Promote Obamacare In Maryland

The Baltimore Ravens will partner with the Obama administration to help implement Obamacare in Maryland, the Maryland health department announced on Tuesday.

According to The Hill, this is the "first official partnership formed with a sports franchise to encourage participation in President Obama's signature healthcare law."

The White House had sought Obamcare partnerships with the NBA and NFL, but "both leagues backed away under pressure from congressional Republicans."

The Obama administration believes the law will only succeed if healthy young men buy into the program, and that demographic watches sports, especially football.

Assateague Horse Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Labor Day

ASSATEAGUE – An otherwise perfect Labor Day on Assateague on the symbolic end of the summer season ended on a sad note on Monday night when one of the wild ponies that inhabit the island was struck and killed by a vehicle near the approach to the Verrazano Bridge.

Around 8 p.m. on Monday, a wild pony was struck by a vehicle leaving the parks on the causeway approaching the bridge. The horse, identified as T3KR, an alpha-numeric designation used to name the 100-plus wild inhabitants of the island, was a 20-year-old bay mare. The horse reportedly stepped into the path of a moving vehicle, according to Assateague Island National Seashore officials.

Boehner’s Syria Surrender

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated yesterday he trusts President Obama to carry out military strikes against Syrian government targets as punishment for that government’s alleged use of poison gas against its own citizens.

“The use of these weapons has to be responded to, and only the U.S. has the capability,” Boehner said after President Obama feted him at the White House. “I’m going to support the president’s call for action and I believe my colleagues should support this call for action.”

Boehner’s decision is already hurting his standing in his own political party, further embittering rank-and-file conservatives who accuse him of being a weak leader. Boehner’s action amounts to siding with the same administration that lied its way into war in Libya, tried to cover up the deadly fiasco in Benghazi, Libya, and that even now sides with the Islamofascist terrorists of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

"The better the wages are at the bottom, the less money the government is spending on social programs, [and] the less bureaucracy you need to administer social programs," he said. "It's like what's not to like about this from any political perspective."

A Comment Worthy Of A Post 9-4-13

Young Professional has left a new comment on your post "BREAKING NEWS: Major Police Activity On Onley Rd":

I came here to attend Salisbury and graduated in May of 2012. I earned a degree in business management and I now live here and have a full time job at a well known business. I have some very successful, hard working relatives who live here and have met so many kind-hearted people from here, yet I am constantly having to defend my decision to stay in Salisbury to live and work because of the reputation this city has. It truly pisses me off when I get on this website and see some of these COMPLETELY IGNORANT comments. It makes me second guess my decision of attempting to make this place my home.

You people are the reason that so many young professionals like myself come here to attend Salisbury and end up running away screaming for our lives and careers because we're surrounded by idiots. You wanna bitch and moan about how Salisbury is going downhill? About how it's the police's fault? This was a tragic situation that occurred behind closed doors and no amount of police activity could have prevented it. CJ Abbott is a mutual friend of mine and he died trying to save that girl's life and will be an absolute hero if she lives. Let's focus on the lives of the friends and loved ones that will forever be affected by this heinous act of violence and stupidity.

I agree, Salisbury has some shitty leadership running this town and the decisions being made at the top do not reflect the wants and needs of those at the bottom. But please, you're making yourself look horrible with the comments on here. I really wish I could look on here and see more posts about uplifting the city of Salisbury (Joe I think you do a great job), but more than half the time, it's just empty complaints from people who have nothing better to do. If the comments on this website reflect the morals of the people in this city, do I really want to live here and pay taxes that contribute to you scumbags? Nah, I'll take my knowledge and money elsewhere when the opportunity arises.

Publishers Notes: People should understand, I simply broke the news before anyone else, that's it. If you only knew the amount of comments we rejected, you'd be amazed and that's on a daily basis.

However, people have the right to their opinion. Some we agree with and many we do not. I can assure you, another Blogger has been attempting to put up very harsh comments in order to stir things up and we have been constantly rejecting them. The shooter, (in this case) isn't the only one with serious mental problems.

So, (forgive the pun) don't shoot the messenger. We saw record numbers yesterday and by 10:00 am today we had already surpassed yesterday's total numbers. Salisbury News is without a doubt the GO TO place whenever ANY Breaking News comes about. With that comes some pretty dumb comments. STOP blaming me for what others have to say. You do remember the Grapevine, don't you?

Congressman Andy Harris Releases Statement On Action Being Considered In Syria

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. released the following statement on the authorization to use military force being considered by Congress against Syria:

“I appreciate President Obama fulfilling his constitutional obligation by seeking Congressional authorization before using military force in Syria. There are serious questions about whether taking military action against Syria is in our national security interest and how the United States should respond to nations around the world who use chemical weapons against their own citizens. The Administration needs to make the case to Congress and the American people why military intervention is needed and clearly state the scope of the planned intervention. The decision to engage militarily is one of the most serious a member of Congress can make, and, although at this point I would not vote for military intervention, I plan to examine all of the evidence before making a decision.“

‘BIBLE-THUMPING…B**CH’: BAKERS WHO REFUSED TO MAKE GAY COUPLE’S WEDDING CAKE SHUT DOWN THEIR SHOP FOLLOWING THREATS, ANGER

In May, TheBlaze told you about Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, an Oregon-based bakery that has fallen under intense scrutiny. Throughout 2013, the Christian couple and their business have been in the midst of a media firestorm after refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

From threats to vicious phone calls and e-mails, the Klein family has been inundated with angry responses. Now, Aaron and Melissa have announced that they are shutting down their shop.

In a brief phone interview earlier this month, Melissa told TheBlaze that the couple has continued to face upheaval following their faith-based decision. Just days after we spoke, she and her husband announced that this past weekend was the family’s last at its current location.

Citing Obamacare, 40,000 Longshoremen Quit the AFL-CIO

In what is being reported as a surprise move, the 40,000 members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) announced that they have formally ended their association with the AFL-CIO, one of the nation's largest private sector unions. The Longshoremen citied Obamacare and immigration reform as two important causes of their disaffiliation.

In an August 29 letter to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, ILWU President Robert McEllrath cited quite a list of grievances as reasons for the disillusion of their affiliation, but prominent among them was the AFL-CIO's support of Obamare.

"We feel the Federation has done a great disservice to the labor movement and all working people by going along to get along," McEllrath wrote in the letter to Trumka.

Black Mob Violence: More And More And More In Baltimore

Even by Baltimore standards, neighbors are astonished at the frequency and intensity of black mob violence in and around a suburban skating rink this summer. And last summer. And the summer before.

And at other skating rinks and other shopping centers in the Baltimore area over the same period.

Local media and public officials refuse to report or talk about how everyone involved in these hyper-violent confrontations is black. But neighbors know. And many think that the race of the criminals is preventing law enforcement from arresting and prosecuting those responsible for these “riotous” and “out of control crowds.”

The latest violence is centered around the Skate Land roller rink in the Baltimore suburb of Fullerton. The crowds range from 300 to 900 people. They require as many as 25 police cruisers and one helicopter to control.

Florida Man Cites ‘Bush Doctrine’ After Pre-Emptive Killing Of Neighbors At Labor Day Cookout

Lawyers for a Florida man this week cited President George W. Bush’s pre-emptive war in Iraq and the “Bush Doctrine” as a defense after their client killed two neighbors and attempted to kill a third on Labor Day.

Florida Today reported on Wednesday that attorney’s for William T. Woodward had filed a motion asking for charges against him to be dismissed under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, which says that gun owners do not have a duty to retreat in the face of an “imminent” threat.

According to officials in Titusville, Woodward had snuck up on his neighbors while they were having a Labor Day barbecue. Police responding to the scene found that Gary Lee Hembree, Roger Picior and Bruce Timothy had all been shot.
