We Have Lost A True American Hero

With heavy heart, it is sad to announce that Larry Lindsey died last night on his birthday in Colorado. Many of you know this man not from his service as a Marine but from his protest against the GOP when he went to vote for Donald Trump and was turned away. When he returned home, he burned his GOP card and vowed to never be a part of the political organization again after being a registered Republican for several decades.

The following is his farewell message in the hospital, just a couple hours before he passed away in his wife's arms.

Semper Fi, Sir.

One man's life touches so many, when he isn't around, he leaves an awfully big hole...

Seaford: Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Seaford- Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel women after she was found to be in possession of drugs during a traffic stop in Seaford.

The incident began this morning, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at approximately 1:50 a.m., as two Delaware State Troopers were on patrol in the area of Sussex Highway and Bethel Concord Road, Seaford. It was at this time that the troopers observed a green Chevrolet Tahoe, which was traveling in a northbound direction on Sussex Highway, fail to remain within its lane of travel. A vehicle stop was then conducted at which time, one of the troopers came into contact with the front seat passenger of the car, later identified as Katie Dilworth, 28, of Laurel. A computer check of Dilworth was conducted where it was learned that she was wanted by the Laurel Police Department. Dilworth was then removed from the Tahoe and following a pat down search, was placed in the trooper's patrol vehicle. It was at this time that they noticed the odor of marijuana coming from Dilworth's person, however, she denied being in possession of marijuana. She was then transported to the Laurel Police Department, where upon their arrival, a female Delaware State Trooper was contacted in order to conduct a more extensive search of Dilworth. It was at this time that Dilworth admitted to being in possession of a plastic bag containing assorted drugs which she removed from inside of her pants and turned over to the troopers.

Dilworth was found to be in possession of 55 white wax paper bags of heroin which weighed .825 grams, .52 grams of powder cocaine, 1.64 grams of crack cocaine, 6.94 grams of marijuana, 2 suboxone strips, and 3 Delaware food stamp cards which did not belong to her.

Katie Dilworth was then transported to Troop 5 where she was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, 3 counts of Unauthorized Use of Food Stamps, and 3 counts of Possession of a Counterfeit Controlled Substance. She was arraigned at JP Court 3 and then committed to the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution in default of $23,000.00 cash bail.

The male operator of the Tahoe, identified as a 36 year old Seaford man, was issued a warning and released.

Food for Thought...

If you think the whole Russian story is legit then ask yourself this...

Just saying, this does beg to be answered...

As a wise man relayed to me:

"The Democrats need a boogie man to explain their stunning failure and rejection of prophetic proportions and, at the same time, find a way to smear Trump. It also serves the Coser proposition of coalescing internal factions in the presence of an external enemy threat. The only problem is no one - the president included - has presented on piece of evidence. Their hysterical echo chamber of assumptions, that are given air play and amplified by a colluding press, is the sand upon which they build their baseless arguments. In the court of law this is drivel, gossip, hearsay and laughably inadmissible but in the court of public opinion - where idiots consume propaganda like candy or cocaine - the simple BIG lie repeated often serves the purpose - to fulfill Alinsky's rule 13 - "pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

I know we're geeks for constantly talking politics but hey, someone has to do it.

What the heck just happened? I heard a loud boom and my whole house shook. It sounded like an explosion. I live in Hebron and a friend of mine in Salisbury said he heard it too.

A Viewer Writes: "JMB text"

"It appeared what was communicated and what started as rumors about lots of things that were happening at Bennett, but it was a fight between three students, not a school-wide situation," said Dr. Donna Hanlin, Wicomico Schools Superintendent.

Attached is a copy of a text from a student.
'A' fight between '3' students?

First 100 Days Myth

By Thornton Crowe

Many in and out of DC are anxiously awaiting to judge Donald Trump on his first 100 days with bated breath but is this timeline really just a myth?

President Roosevelt
The first 100 day meme began with Franklin D. Roosevelt when he was elected in 1932. We have to remember, at the time, the Great Depression had been hanging on since 1929's big stock market crash when runs on banks became commonplace and people all over America were grappling, unable to find jobs. Unemployment lines were lengthy and prices were staggering (for the time) leaving many Americans at wits end.

While we have pretty much the same thing now short of a huge stock crash, the country is in dire straits with a stunning 95M unemployment number still hanging like a black cloud over our economy. Therefore, when FDR took office, he had both a Congress and Senate more than willing to try his 'just try it' attitude in order to fix the dismal situation - this being in stark contrast of what we have now.

Henry Rainey
Speaker of the House
1933
Anyone studying Politics or History can tell you that moving legislation and creating laws (or undoing bad ones) takes time. Unlike FDR, Trump is dealing with a RINO Speaker who has many ideas of his own and, for some reason, believes he's on equal par with the future president. Contrary to Trump's situation, Speaker of the House Rep. Henry Rainey (D) was more than willing to work with the President on fixing the ills of Middle Class Americans. Both houses realized the blight in America and were dedicated to fixing the issues; therefore, they remained fairly pliable in helping legislation move quickly.

Conversely, Trump is unfortunately stuck with Speaker Paul Ryan (R) - a person who is not as gratuitous as Rainey; this was demonstratively evident from his pre-election banter and constant naysaying of his own party's candidate. Ryan has made it no secret he has his own agenda for many things that grossly conflict with Trump. The fact he wants to grant amnesty to millions of illegals while ushering in countless unvetted refugees into the country when so many Americans are desperately trying to survive, is a strong indication he is no Rainey. He seems to miss the memos showing the real unemployment plight and the fact that many are having to work two or three jobs to make what they used to make in one, leaving them less time with their families.

Paul Ryan
Speaker of the House
2016
His Pollyannic view of America lacks any grasp on reality, or perhaps he simply doesn't care. Either way, he is not going to be in complete complicity with Trump's agenda as he claimed on Sean Hannity last Friday night. Ryan will always be Ryan first and, unfortunately, he may blow the situation we've afforded the Republicans by giving them both Houses and Presidency, if he doesn't adjust his hat and get on board with the program we elected.

Therefore, is it an unreasonable demand to expect Trump's first 100 to be wildly spectacular? Perhaps, but given what he's accomplished on his own thus far, maybe his first days will be even better than FDR's - a potentiality that drives the Media and Liberal Tears insane.

That Trump has been working hard prior to inauguration demonstrates he knows he has a tough stretch to hoe after he takes oath. Now, he is using his ability to make deals to get business owners to reconsider taking jobs out of the States while building a cabinet of solid professionals around him.

While some of his Generals and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are already getting some backlash from the loopy left and RINOs, they are solid people who will serve as they always have, with dignity and grace. Those in opposition are creating fake objections simply to thwart Trump's progress, not to help America. Knowing Trump and his team's persuasive abilities, the confirmations will go through, but some dissent will be noted for record. However, for those putting up such ridiculous resistance, what does that tell us about them? America first, or hardline politics?

The election is proof that we are tired of the same ole, same ole DC political milieu and that we want a drastic change to occur. No more ignoring our rule of law. No more adding to a stressed population with more stress. No more gross fraud and waste. No more malarkey. It's time for the Beltway Crowd to get with the program and realize a new sheriff is in town and things will be a changin'!

As for Trump's first 100, it will not be without its spills and chills and we may not see everything mysteriously materialize but if he doesn't surpass FDR's legendary 1933 record, he'll come pretty close to it!

I'm not tired of winning yet. How say you?

Some Md. lawmakers concerned about LGBT rights under Trump

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Del. Maggie McIntosh, D-Baltimore, said she is concerned about LGBT residents in Maryland after the election of Republican candidate Donald Trump.

“I am not worried about an erosion of legal rights, I am worried about an erosion of tolerance and civility.”

McIntosh admitted it is difficult to know what will happen when Trump becomes president, but said Maryland lawmakers “will be vigilant” to protect the LGBT community in the state.

While law experts and delegates agree it will take years for any anti-LGBT legislation to pass, some residents are still nervous about the future for LGBT rights in Maryland.

Wicomico County Executive Bob Culver Proactive On Employee Crime

If you steal from Wicomico County, you're going to be arrested.

I'm sure most of you can recall the big theft scheme at the landfill years ago under Rick Pollitt's watch. If it wasn't for Sheriff Mike Lewis going public with pulling over a vehicle that began that investigation, we probably would've never heard anything about that scheme.

Nevertheless, Executive Culver is wasting no time having employees arrested and so far there's been three of them. No one is getting off easy under his watch.

The most recent was Civic Center employee and former contender for public office Marvin Ames. It turns out Mr. Ames allegedly removed over $5,000.00 worth of room divider curtains and rods without permission and was charged with "unforced burglary". Wicomico County Sheriffs Deputies have served Mr. Ames with a criminal summons. We're told by sources that Mr. Ames may file a grievance with the County, even though he admitted to the criminal felony charges. Mr. Ames has been terminated.

Another employee has been terminated for going across the scales at the landfill without paying standard fees. Another employee had been taking advantage of points and gift cards for purchases and rather then the County getting those gift cards, this person was using them for personal use.

Not only were these people terminated, they have also been criminally charged. Executive Culver simply will not tolerate any of this abuse and wants the public to openly know he is not and will not sweep any of this under the rug.

Principal Of James M. Bennett High School Speaks Out About Recent Fights

Good evening JMB parents, staff, and students – this is Mr. Briggs and tonight I would like to address some of the events of last week that have cast our school in a negative light.

First, let me emphasize that it is the behaviors of a very small few that are negatively impacting the excellent school that we have here at James M. Bennett. I am proud to serve as the principal of the best school in Wicomico County, and take on the great responsibility of ensuring that we have a safe and secure learning environment for all staff and students. Last week we had an assault and an unrelated fight that put various members of our school community at risk. Please understand that these actions are not acceptable and will not be tolerated for any reason. Any student that puts any staff member or student in danger will receive the maximum consequences allowed by the code of conduct, and in addition, we will also seek prosecution to the fullest extent possible.

JMB parents, staff, and students – we will not allow the actions of a handful of students who are not focused on coming to school and taking advantage of the excellent academic and extra-curricular opportunities that we have to offer, to ruin things for the vast majority who are here for the right reasons! While any number of disruptions such as fighting is too many, this year’s group of students and staff members have cut the number of these occurrences in more than half from what they were last year at this same time. And we will continue to work together to reduce disruptive behaviors even more by maintaining high expectations for all students and giving severe consequences to those who are disruptive.

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to speak with a number of JMB parents, who while expressing their concerns over the events of last week, also expressed their appreciation for the excellent staff that works with their children each day. As principal, I am honored to work with such a great group of caring individuals who consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of all students. Together as a unified James M. Bennett High School - students, parents, staff, and community – we will continue to work together for the success of all students.

For those parents who would like to discuss the issues of this past week, or any other issues of concern, I invite you to a Principal’s open door session this Tuesday night, December 13th, from 4:00 to 6:00. I look forward to continuing to work with each of you for the success of our JMB students!

This week is going to be a great week at JMB!!! And if I don’t get to see you or speak to you before the break, I hope everyone has a great holiday season with family and friends!!!

Thank you,

Frederick L. Briggs
Proud Principal of JMB

Maryland’s heroin and opioid crisis reaches an all-time high

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Barbara Allen signs her emails with the names of her family members she has lost to addiction.

Jim’s mom, Bill’s sister, Amanda’s aunt.

Her son, Jim, died from a heroin and alcohol overdose in 2003 after battling substance abuse disorder for 22 years.

“What I found really annoyed me and made me angry was there was so little support, and in fact people didn’t have to continue to to die,” said Barbara, who lives in Howard County, Maryland.

In Maryland, heroin-related deaths tripled from 2011 to 2015, rising from 247 to 748, according to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Marilyn Mosby to businesses: Help improve public safety by opening your wallets

Baltimore just surpassed the 300 murder mark and the best way businesses can help, Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby says, is by donating money.

Speaking to members of Baltimore's business community at a breakfast hosted by the Greater Baltimore Committee Wednesday, Mosby said she finds the number of murders "very disturbing", especially because much of the crime in Baltimore is retaliatory. Mosby appeared alongside Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis to answer questions about the efforts being taken to improve public safety in Baltimore.

Mosby, who took office in 2015, said she has prioritized improving services for victims and witnesses as a way to improve public safety. She highlighted a recent $2.4 million federal grant that will be used to hire staff members who will guide victims through the criminal justice process.

The city needs more money besides grants to incentivize victims and witnesses to come forward, Mosby said. She hopes to increase the amount of rewards given to people who provide a tip about a crime or location of a suspect.

Aloha for the holidays

It’s travel time for both President Obama and President-elect Donald Trump this weekend, but for widely different reasons.

Mr. Obama departs Friday for his Christmas vacation in Hawaii, the last while he is in office.

Judicial Watch recently revealed that, to date, the first family’s personal travel expenses have totaled more than $85 million. Last year’s jaunt to Hawaii cost $4.8 million, according to the watchdog, which bases the estimates on information from Freedom of Information Act requests and factors such as the cost of aircraft fuel, among other things.

Well. Let’s just say aloha..

Court Plaza & Temple Hill Motel Sold To Salisbury University

WBOC is welcoming this move like it is a great thing for Salisbury and the Eastern Shore. The funny part is, they disguise "Salisbury University" by calling it another name.

Here's the problem Folks. Here's yet even more property that will ultimately come off the tax rolls. One by one, bit by bit, the University and PRMC continue to purchase commercial property that pay massive taxes and remove them from the tax roll.
This means, in the end, YOU will have to make up the tax losses and don't let the Liberal fool of a Mayor try to fool you any more. The same goes for Affordable Housing projects. Yes, that will include tax breaks for the Downtown parking lots.

While you may see construction going on, YOU will pay for it while it gets disguised behind liberal trickery. She may look beautiful but trust me, there's more baggage than you'd ever imagine!

Publishers Notes: I stand corrected. I was watching WBOC this morning, (seriously) and they said that the Mayor and City of Salisbury, (I'm paraphrasing) will be excited about the sale of these two properties. Being that I knew they have City services, I simply thought they remained in the City Limits, they do not. Forgive me for the mistake.

Marylanders have more coverage, lower overall premiums under Obamacare, new fed report shows

The uninsured rate in Maryland has fallen by 42 percent since 2010, translating to about 278,000 Marylanders gaining health care coverage, with many more seeing increased Medicaid, Medicare and employer plan benefits, according to a new federal report.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released an extensive analysis of state-level data Tuesday illustrating the impact of the Affordable Care Act over the past six years. The report comes as debate continues over what would happen to America's health care system if the Trump Administration follows through on promises to "repeal and replace" the health care law.

Republicans have long railed against the ACA and its impact, including high premiums for individual health plans. In Maryland alone, premiums for such plans have risen by double-digit percentages over the past four years.

Joy Behar Unhinged: Trump Must Step Down Before Inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump must “step down before the inauguration before they give him the nuclear codes,” Joy Behar said in an unhinged rant Monday.

“Do we have to wait until the hammer and sickle is on the American flag before we stand up to this guy?” she asked.

“The View” panel was discussing a Washington Post report that claimed the CIA believes strongly that the foreign government intervened in the U.S. presidential election to help Trump win. The FBI has done its own investigation and has yet to find any conclusive evidence to support that finding.

Divider-in-Chief: Obama Claims “whites in northern states” Very Different from “southern states”

President draws divisive lines between north and south

President Obama claimed he’s experienced racist attitudes “among whites” from different parts of the country.

In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Wednesday, Obama broadbrushed white people in the northern and southern parts of the United States, claiming sentiments about him between the two regions are “very different.”

”I think there’s a reason attitudes about my presidency among whites in northern states are very different from whites in southern states,” Obama said.

“So, are there folks whose primary concern about me has been that I seem foreign ― the other? Are those who champion the birther movement feeding off of bias?” Obama questioned, before answering himself, “Absolutely.”

Democrat strategist David Axelrod also told CNN the “birther movement,”started by Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, “has roots in racism. There’s no question about it.”

“It’s indisputable that there was a ferocity to the opposition and a lack of respect to him that was a function of race,” Axelrod added.

Dispensers say Md. is great market for medical marijuana

Companies that are a step closer to dispensing medical marijuana in Maryland are eager to move forward.

The president of a company that's a step closer to dispensing medical marijuana in Maryland thinks the state is a great market for the industry and that the perception of pot can change.

Maryland's medical marijuana industry took a big step forward last week by pre-approving 102 companies to dispense the drug.

Leah Heise is a pioneer. The former attorney for the federal government set up a company that is among the first to get a license to give approved patients in Maryland marijuana in a variety of forms to address a variety of illnesses.

"For example, if you have arthritis, you might decide you want a topical, so you might use a cream you rub into your hands," Heise said.

Barbara Walters feels ABC execs have ‘ruined’ legacy of ‘The View’

Barbara Walters thinks ABC execs have ruined “The View” and fears the show will be remembered for its petty backstage bickering and revolving door of talent.

“She feels they’ve ruined the franchise that she and Bill Geddie built. Instead of focusing on smart, educated women with strong talent, they cast uninformed child actors on the show. The legacy has been compromised because of poor casting and bad leadership under ABC News,” a source told us.

Walters is so over the show that she even ditched a post-election appearance, which reunited original hosts, Debbie Matenopoulos, Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar and Star Jones. Walters’ longtime rep told us she was vacationing with her daughter in Florida. “It was a prearranged vacation for the two of them. She calls the control room multiple times a week to offer her suggestions. She has a wonderful relationship with the show,” she said.

Hey Joe, it's not fun being a county employee when your supervisors have meeting after meeting about what's on this blog. We have been told numerous times to not get caught screwing up and to watch our backs. I do my job the best I can. I don't drink or do drugs like a lot of my coworkers do but I'm thrown in the same bag as them. Wouldn't you think they (supervisors) would encourage more drug testing to eliminate problem employees instead of tipping them off when testing is about to happen. If that were to happen maybe most of our problems would go away and our bosses could also get some work done instead of watching this blog all day.

Lynch Slips — Says No Evidence Of ‘Technical Interference’ From The Russians

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch stated Thursday that the United States intelligence community has not found any evidence of “technical interference” on the part of the Russian government on voting machines used in the 2016 election.

Lynch instead referred to Russia hacking into the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Speaking at an event hosted by Politico, Lynch explained that U.S. intelligence officers had been investigating the hacks since the summer and weren’t sure what they could “talk about publicly.”
