EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS: The Grinches That Stole The Salisbury Downtown Christmas Trees

Thieves broke into the Parker Place fenced in and secured area where they had been selling Christmas Trees on the Downtown Plaza. They knocked down the gates and ran off with the trees. However, we not only have images of the thieves, we have video of them doing so and they will be caught with your help.

This happened around 2:30 this morning and we will update this Post with video footage to help recognize who these people are in the white pickup truck.

More to come...

  7. Sad that you people are that stupid, don't you know cops have cameras every where? The govt has cameras every where? You can't get passed the cameras, soon it will be like the UK where not even on Centimeter of area is not covered by at least 3 cameras... Oh and don't forget, cops have facial recognition too... SO why they keep asking for our help is just funny, and the fact we pay them salaries with our tax dollars and they want us to help them, yet they don't help us...

    1. You don't think we should pay cops that are out to protect us? Who would you call if you had a heat attack? Who would you call if your house was broken into? If you don't think cops deserve to be paid, then you don't deserve the privilege to call 911.

  11. No matter who it is, I hope they are arrested and kept in jail over the Christmas holidays. Those trees were a way for a family to try and earn some extra money for themselves. They were privately owned by nice people who worked hard to resell them. Those folks bought and paid for those trees and now are out money. The thieves just robbed them.

  15. 230 in the morning ? Christmas trees? Likely a crime of opportunity which suggests these jokers were in the area "on other business". Look at surrounding survellience feeds from times around, traffic cams at city outlet arteries as well as the feeds you have but days before and especially 12-3 (they've likely been around there previously but around the time of commissiom . Run the MVA database for trucks fitting the description in radius of 25-50% of the wholesale value of the trees. Ask for help identifying anyone selling fewer than # of trees or newly selling trees (in neighborhoods.. word of mouth) between now and Christmas, ask downtown owners re cameras( some have them but don't like to talk about it ) and have a real expert view video for movements/telling physical tendencies of thieves. The witness should be able to sged some light on the crew or their mindset

  16. Can you zoom in on license plate?????

  20. Well if the "family" thought leaving valuables unatended anywhere in downtown Salisbury was a good idea they need their head checked. Everyone knows their is slack police coverage in Salisbury and certainly no cops downtown during the weekday nights. They only make them "Bull-Dimare" work till 2 on the weekends and during the week they are done at dinner time. Let's face it they are there for community relations. When is the last time that "Bull" did any law enforcement. Hell he hasn't even written a ticket in 15 years and arrest someone keep guessing. He spends most of his time drinking free coffee on the plaza. Let's face it we need more and better cops doing proactive law enforcement not just sitting and waiting for someone to call in a bicycle theft. It will take only one violent assault or robbery of a prominent person down town to flush all of jakes dreams down the drain. Good people are scared now to come downtown.

  21. 2:28 PM Wow, really. They are trees, probably for themselves or family members.
Run an MVA on a white pick up truck. Is that a joke?
A bit over the top there pal.

  22. Make, model, year, crossed to state , address within x miles and age registered to assuming victim has any minimally useful info. Looks lifted. Done all the time elsewhere.

  25. Ok, some of us are a little confused. Police are downtown to build relations during weekdays when downtown is flooded wth business owners, bankers, city and county employees, lawyers, politicians, judges but not after dinnertime when it is dark and deserted and life, limb and property are most at risk?

    ReplyDelete
  26. To 228. Whats over the top is that ticket you wrote me for 27 in a 25 PAL

    ReplyDelete
  27. And Day wants to make this a community center with this crime going on endlessly downtown? There's many break ins down there that are never reported on the news. People believing that attorneys keep cash in their offices, but it never gets reported to the public. There's too much crime down there and you're hard pressed to find any police presence. If there were regular patrols, these idiots would've been busted.

  28. What happened to the video? I heard there was one but it's just large blank spaces now.
