(JESSUP, MD) — Maryland State Police are investigating the murder of an inmate late this morning at a state prison in Anne Arundel County.
The victim is identified as John A. O’Sullivan, 43, an inmate at the Jessup Correctional Institution, Jessup, Md. His body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Multiple inmate suspects have been identified by investigators. Those suspects remain in the custody of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. today, correctional officers in the Jessup Correctional Institution’s F Building responded to a fight in progress on a tier. They found the victim lying on the floor bleeding profusely from what appeared to be multiple stab or puncture wounds. The officers quickly took several inmate suspects into custody who were seen walking away from the victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services personnel.
Investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit were called to conduct the investigation. They have spent the day interviewing inmates, obtaining and serving search warrants in the prison, and working with State Police crime scene technicians who are processing the scene for evidence. They have been assisted by investigators from the State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, troopers from the Glen Burnie Barrack, and investigators from the DPSCS Internal Investigations Unit. Investigators remain at the scene tonight as the investigation continues.
Investigators have been in contact with officials in the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office regarding the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this time. Upon completion, the investigation will be reviewed by the State’s Attorney’s Office before charges are placed.
Any questions regarding the sentence the inmate victim was serving or the Jessup Correctional Institution should be directed to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Enjoy the Taxes
For all you big Hillary fans, here will be your new federal tax rates. And don't forget to add in Social Security, State Taxes, Unemployment Insurance and Healthcare premiums which are going up 45% beginning next year.
Hillary won't be looking so hot when you take home less than 40% of your working salary and then get to stand in line to get your government mandated medication allotment.

Letter to the Editor: Reported House Fire in Salisbury 8-10-16
Dear Editor,
I have a question. Around 1:50am Wicomico Central Alerted Stations 2, 16, 1 and 5(Hebron) for a reported house fire at the corner of Church Street and Truitt Street. Isn't Station 6 Parsonsburg much closer than Hebron?
At 1:58am Station 2 was re-alerted. Command told Central to dispatch a Next Due. A couple of minutes later Central Dispatched Station 3(Fruitland). Isn't Station 6(Parsonsburg) closer than Fruitland?
At 2:01am Command requested Central dispatch a 2nd Alarm. At that time Central dispatched 3, 74 and 6(finally).
At 2:08am Command asked Central the status on responding units. Central advised nothing marked up yet.
Then Central alerted again saying Stations 8, 3, 74 and 6 due(Whatever that means?)
What is the Status on Station 6(Parsonsburg) and why weren't they alerted first and second on this call?
Another question? When did Central start hitting the all call tone for 3 stations and then an outside station for house fires in Salisbury?

A Letter To The Editor: Wicomico Board of Education 8-11-16
The new Superintendent of schools for Wicomico County is having all BOE employees go to Shorebirds stadium on August 25 in the morning 8:45 I believe. This is the County kick off for the start of school.
Think about the expenses for this. All employees drive time there, missing work, drive time back when employees could be working or getting ready for school at their school. Some schools are paying for buses to transport staff to save parking. Talk about a traffic jam. This will take a couple of hours!
Didn't Frederickson stop using the civic center to save money and time for employees? He switched to a video that was watched at school. Half hour tops!

Will Smith: It's important 'to speak out about the insanity' surrounding U.S. election
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Will Smith was in the Middle East on Sunday promoting the movie "Suicide Squad", but the Hollywood star said his time in Dubai is also a chance to counter an increasingly anti-Muslim climate surrounding the U.S. presidential race.
Smith, who plays the sharpshooter Deadshot in the film, said he's having fun and tweeting pictures of his time in Dubai, showing that "Hey, it doesn't look like they hate me, does it?"
"In terms of Islamophobia in America, for me that's why it's important to show up," he said.
He encouraged local film makers and producers to find more ways to tell the story of the region to the world.
"The Middle East can't allow Fox News to be the arbiter of the imagery, you know. So cinema is a huge way to be able to deliver the truth of the soul of a place to a global audience," he said.

E Pluribus Unum
By Thornton Crowe
Much talk has occurred over the last few months here about racial tension in America. I'm sure you're already rolling your eyes and thinking, why is Thornton bringing this up again?
Simple. Because it matters.
The fact is gang, we've all been played and not just by the DNC but everyone in our government looking to to protect the globalist agenda - this includes the Media.
We see E Pluribus Unum everywhere in America's symbology. It's even on the United States Seal. What does it mean? Forensically and literal translation from Latin, it means, 'one out of many.' However, what does it really mean to Americans?
You all may remember a few years back, there was a man name Andrew Breitbart, who died mysteriously one evening while walking after dinner in Beverly Hills, California. On March 1, 2012, he was only 43 when he died from what they said was a heart attack. Although, I have my doubts as many others do that any heart condition was really the case, nonetheless, that's the 'official' claim.
Some of you may have read his books or watched his speeches. He was well versed in American politics. Many of you are familiar with Breitbart as many posts here, direct you to his site to read about various happenings in our world.
Andrew Breitbart |
Known for his provocatively candid speeches, Breitbart never minced words about his observations regarding our government and the manipulation of the elite ruling class in America. In his unPC manner, his lectures often prompted lively back-and-forth between himself and his audience. While lecturing at the University of Redlands and a La Raza student got up and called him a racist. His comeback made as much sense then as it does today and I'm surprised we don't hear more about it since the rise of BLM.
Cultural Marxism.
Marxism is when you have a division between have and have nots. It divides and categorizes people. When the Elite (and that's not just Democrats anymore) decided that wouldn't work in America - the land of opportunity - in order to bring about a division, they twisted it into cultural rather than class. Therefore, now you have oppressed verses the oppressor. Brilliant right? It makes perfect sense when you look at all the race baiting of recent years. Divide people into racial enclaves and keep them thinking all the others have it against them.
And it's been dividing us ever since.
While real racism from the post-Reconstruction days was very real, the racism touted today by many is fabricated based on lies proffered by the government and media in order to divide our nation. Why? United we stand, divided we fall. Hence, e pluribus unum. We area all one! And by being one, it means all of us from all races in America - as citizens - have our own collective culture, spirit and semblance of oneness. While we do have racial differences, we are all equal in ever sense and the divides are not as big as the elite would love us to believe.
Let's face it, we all want security in whatever form we chose that security to be. Our wants across racial lines are not all that different from one another. Yet, the media and politicians tells us we are so grossly different and that harmony comes at a price - we have to stomp out one citizen's right to accommodate another. Absolutely FALSE!
Take the 8 minutes out of your Sunday and watch his speech. It will surely give you some food for thought.
E Pluribus Unum beats multiculturalism...
****Let me know your reactions to the VIDEO and BREITBART's IDEAS without being insulting to one another!***
New rules for chicken farms after neighbors raise a stink
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Somerset County officials have approved stricter rules for poultry houses after residents raised a stink about bad smells and loud noises coming from their neighbors.
County Commissioners on Tuesday adopted an ordinance that calls for the minimum space between chicken houses and residences to be doubled from 200 feet to 400 feet.
The ordinance also calls for buffers, such as plants, around poultry houses to further block the view, sediment in the air, and odor.

BREAKING: Hillary May End Up In Jail After All – All Thanks To Trey Gowdy
Trey Gowdy’s exchange with FBI Director James Comey about his get out jail free pass to Hillary Clinton is one for the record books. In one fell swoop, Gowdy exposed both Comey and Hillary. And it appears Gowdy has bigger judicial plans for Crooked Hillary.
Gowdy appeared to be setting Hillary Clinton up for perjury charges. Corrupt Hillary previously testified about her emails to the House Benghazi Committee. Specifically Hillary said under oath that she had not sent or received classified documents on her personal email server.
Under cross examination from Trey Gowdy, Comey admitted that Hillary lied. Since she was under oath, this sets her up for being charged with perjury.
Boom! That is why Trey Gowdy is such an important member of the House of Representatives! He set the plate to charge Hillary with perjury.

According to a new report by the Wall Street Journal, 7 million Americans are flat-out refusing to pay back their student loans because they feel scammed by their universities and government. They feel like they were told to go to school and are now left with worthless degrees, no jobs, and no prospects for the future. The government has tried many tactics to reach these defaulters, but their efforts have been fruitless for over a year.

Council Denies Appeal To Save Downtown Tree Over Liability Issue
OCEAN CITY — Despite an impassioned plea from the property owners, resort officials this week denied an appeal that might have saved a decades-old pine tree in the south end of town that hangs over the public sidewalk.
On Tuesday, the Mayor and Council heard an appeal from property owners Frank and Dee Rubinic, whose pine tree in front of their house on St. Louis Avenue in the area of 1st Street partially hangs over the sidewalk. The tree’s upper branches have been trimmed back on multiple occasions by the property owners, but the thick trunk is crooked and bends toward the sidewalk closest to the property line.
Responding to a complaint, the Recreation and Parks Department inspected the tree and found it to be in violation of tree encroachment over the sidewalk impeding the public right-of-way for passage. The city’s guidelines call for trees overhanging public sidewalks to have a seven-foot clearance, but because of its crooked trunk that bends toward the walkway, achieving the seven-foot clearance would likely force the property owners to remove it.

Study: Minority neighborhoods have less access to doctors
Urban neighborhoods with high percentages of African-Americans and Hispanics face poorer access to doctors, according to a study led by a Christiana Care Health System physician researcher.
The research was published in the August issue of the journal Health Affairs.
The study is one of the first drill down to census tract data to determine ratios and consider how geography may create barriers to care within city neighborhoods.
“Primary care is the gateway to improved health outcomes and forms the base of efficient health systems,” said Elizabeth J. Brown, the Harrington Clinician Scholar at Christiana Care’s Value Institute and a primary care physician with Christiana Care’s Department of Family and Community Medicine. “Considering the results of our study, policymakers may consider how accessible primary care is, even in densely-populated neighborhoods, when assessing ways to improve the health of our communities.”
Whereas most research on doctor-to-population ratios has concentrated on those ratios at the city, county or state level, the study in Health Affairs analyzed census tracts.

Justice Department Announces Findings of Investigation into Baltimore Police Department
Justice Department Finds a Pattern of Civil Rights Violations by the Baltimore Police Department
The Justice Department announced today that it found reasonable cause to believe that the Baltimore City Police Department (BPD) engages in a pattern or practice of conduct that violates the First and Fourth Amendments of the Constitution as well as federal anti-discrimination laws. BPD makes stops, searches and arrests without the required justification; uses enforcement strategies that unlawfully subject African Americans to disproportionate rates of stops, searches and arrests; uses excessive force; and retaliates against individuals for their constitutionally-protected expression. The pattern or practice results from systemic deficiencies that have persisted within BPD for many years and has exacerbated community distrust of the police, particularly in the African-American community. The city and the department have also entered into an agreement in principle to work together, with community input, to create a federal court-enforceable consent decree addressing the deficiencies found during the investigation.
“Public trust is critical to effective policing and public safety,” said Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch. “Our investigation found that Baltimore is a city where the bonds of trust have been broken, and that the Baltimore Police Department engaged in a pattern or practice of unlawful and unconstitutional conduct, ranging from the use of excessive force to unjustified stops, seizures and arrests. The results of our investigation raise serious concerns, and in the days ahead, the Department of Justice will continue working tirelessly to ensure that all Baltimoreans enjoy the safety, security and dignity they expect and deserve. I am grateful to all of the community members, local officials, faith leaders and current and former police officers who spoke with us during the course of our inquiry, and whose input will remain critical to our efforts as we move forward. Additionally, I commend the city and BPD for its proactive and collaborative approach to our inquiry and for demonstrating a strong commitment to restoring public confidence by already taking steps to make needed changes. I look forward to continuing our work together to implement urgent and necessary reforms.”
“We found that BPD has engaged in a pattern or practice of serious violations of the U.S. Constitution and federal law that has disproportionately harmed Baltimore’s African-American community and eroded the public’s trust in the police,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta, head of the Civil Rights Division. “The agency also fails to provide officers with the guidance, oversight and resources they need to police safely, constitutionally and effectively. In communities across America, even in communities where trust has been broken, we’ve seen transformative reform rebuild relationships and advance public safety. In the weeks ahead, as we negotiate our consent decree with the city, we will seek input from law enforcement and community members. With the city and commissioner’s commitment to reform, I am optimistic that we will work to drive that same progress in Baltimore.”

Macy's to close another 100 stores by 2017
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) —In a sign of how dramatically the retail shopping landscape is changing, Macy's is closing 100 of its stores nationwide.
Macy's announced the closures Thursday. They represent about 15% of all Macy's department stores. The iconic retailer did not disclose the locations of stores, but said most of them will be shut down in early 2017.
The Macy's move is the latest in a wave of store closures amid the rise and success of Amazon and other online shopping options.
For instance, Walmart announced plans in January to shut down 269 stores this year and just this week, inked a $3.3 billion deal to acquire Amazon rival Jet.com.
Sports Authority, once the nation's largest sporting goods retailer, is shutting all 450 of its stores after filing for bankruptcy. Other traditional retailers such as Target, JC Penney, Kmart, Sears and Kohl's have also pulled the plug on hundreds of stores in recent months.

A Viewer Writes: $500 dollar fine for the death of 48 yr old Mr. Scott Tatterson of Pocomoke
In Worcester County 8/10/16 Mr. Marion Marine Jones was given only a $500 dollar fine for the death of 48 yr old Mr. Scott Tatterson of Pocomoke.
As you may recall on Feb 22 2016 Mr. Jones loss control of his car in Worcester County striking Tatterson and 23 yr old Wade Pusey who worked for Worcester County Public Works Roads Division.
Mr. Pusey is also still recovering from his injuries and will probably not be able to work again. Mr. Jones, the driver was indicted for manslaughter in April. Judge Esham decided yesterday to fine Jones $500.
I find this to be very sad for these families, just feeling outraged!
Should Killing a Police Officer Be a Hate Crime?
Hoping to deter deadly attacks against police officers, some states want to expand hate-crime laws, which are traditionally confined to characteristics such as race and ethnicity, to cover people who work in law enforcement.
Nearly every state has a hate-crime statute that increases penalties for offenders motivated by hatred of a victim’s race, religion, sexuality or other personal characteristic. Louisiana in May became the first state to add police to the list when it passed “Blue Lives Matter” legislation. Now half a dozen additional states are considering similar changes to their hate-crime laws.
Supporters argue the measures, which are backed by police, are a deterrent and send a strong message to police officers that the community stands behind them. Forty-one officers died in the line of duty last year, according to the FBI, and the recent killings of officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge have fueled calls for new measures to keep them safe. President Barack Obama, for example, is considering lifting the ban that blocks police departments from using military-grade equipment.

MUSLIM FLIGHT ATTENDANT SUES EXPRESSJET OVER SUSPENSION
DETROIT (AP) -- A Muslim flight attendant has sued ExpressJet, accusing the airline of wrongly suspending her because she refused to serve alcohol to passengers.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations' Michigan chapter announced Tuesday it filed the lawsuit last week on behalf of Charee Stanley, a Detroit-based flight attendant for the airline headquartered in Atlanta.
The federal court case follows a discrimination complaint filed last year with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which dismissed it without determining whether the airline violated the law.

Ahmed ‘Clock Kid’ Mohamed Returns to Texas, Family Files Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit
The lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, alleges that Ahmed Mohamed’s civil rights under the U.S. constitution were violated by the Irving Independent School District, Principal Daniel Cummings “in his individual capacity” and the City of Irving.
Mohamed was led out of MacArthur High School in September after school officials mistook the teenager’s homemade clock for a bomb.
“These acts by the authorities show blatant disregard for the civil rights of this American,” according to Mohamed’s lawyer, Susan Hutchison, KTVT-TV reported.
“The only justice we have in our American legal system is money, so we are suing for justice,” Hutchinson added, without specifying an amount.
