If you are planning on coming to Ocean City tonight you better plan on a long wait. Update, the Bridge just went up too. Rt. 90 is at a dead stop right now from Rt. 589.
FBI Raids Peninsula Internal Medicine In Salisbury
At 11:22 this morning I text law enforcement asking if they knew why this business was being raided, I never received a response. The next thing we knew, (out of nowhere) all the news crews were starting to arrive and even flying a helicopter, ("where drones can't go") overhead.
Boxes were being removed, customers were being rejected entrance and the business was shut down. Why, we don't know. I guess we'll have to wait for a press release to get the details since law enforcement refuses to now work with us after the Cecil County States Attorney exposure the other day. Connect the dots...

A Viewer Writes: Public Safety Issue in Vienna Md.
Feeling a little upset that the small town I call home caved to a farmer who doesn't live IN town, but drives through it! We have had a serious issue with speeding on the busiest most traveled street with numerous children living, playing on and near this street! This town is like Mayberry, all the kids walk, ride bikes, skateboard around town! It may be the only town left where kids are allowed to play freely! 8 months later, after much pushing~ a speed bump went on this busy street! It solved the speeding problem!
At tonight's town meeting an angry well known farmer who lives OUT of town, came in and ran the show! His biggest concern was his family and his money! This speed bump hurt his wife's back, this speed bump could hurt a watermelon, this speed bump was bigger then any rut on his many hundreds of acre farm land, (I call bullshit) this speed bump could damage his farming equipment...are you f'ing kidding me!!
He had the two council members in his pocket before he got there!! For one, the only restaurant in town is owned by one of the council members, and he made it clear he and his whole family spent a lot of money there! He spends his money at the town gas station and at the local car garage...he spends money on everything but the taxes that covers our roads in Vienna!! His opening line was his only concern was for his family and his money!! To hell with the fact Vienna widened the street so said farmers can come down it, to hell with the safety issue of our children and adults who will be no match for the speeding farm trucks that comes flying down that road!! To hell with anything that stands in his way of his need for control in a town he doesn't even live in!! Good job council members for looking out for the towns people that elected you!! Good job to the small minded people who allowed him to bully them!! So proud at this moment to call myself a resident to a town that puts the interest of some ones need to speed through our town and protect their watermelons over the well being of its real residence. Well done!! I hope you take this victory and feel real good about it!!

IS THIS APPROPRIATE CONDUCT FROM THE SHERIFF OF WICOMICO COUNTY? HERE ARE THE FACTS:
An incident occurred on January 3, 2015 at the Center City Exxon in Salisbury, located near Peninsula Regional Center. A Sheriff's Deputy, David Crowell, stopped Miguel Santos for suspicion of drinking and driving. Mr. Santos, who is of Mexican national origin, but is here and employed in this country legally, admitted that he had been drinking on the night of the incident. He told Deputy Crowell, at a certain point, that he did not want to take field sobriety tests. After this point, Mr. Santos was pinned up against Deputy Crowell's police vehicle (the large, black and white SUV model). A physical altercation occurred (the specifics of which are still disputed), but ended with Mr. Santos being "aggressively taken to the ground," according to Crowell in his police report. Santos claims he was lifted and pile-driven to the ground for no reason. Crowell then got on top of Santos punched Santos in the face at least once, and perhaps several times. Santos was then "tazed"or drive-stunned in the back. Mr. Santos suffered the following injuries: broken hand, broken lower vertebrae, and severe swelling, cuts and bruising to his eyes. (Photos above) Mr. Santos was then charged with crimes including 1) Assault of a Police Officer; 2) Second Degree Assault; 3) Resisting Arrest; and 4) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Deputy Crowell was not injured, and received no medical treatment as a result of the altercation, nor did he ever claim to be. (Strangely, the arrest photo in the Sheriff's Department's press release showed an old photo of Santos, one without the cuts, bruises and black eyes he received as a result of this incident.)
Approximately 3 days later, WMDT did an interview with Mr. Santos and Sheriff Mike Lewis after the incident. The entire interview, with video, can be found above.
http://www.wmdt.com/news/more-local-news/suspect-claims-police-brutality/30582206
In the Interview, Sheriff Lewis was asked about the incident, and volunteered the following comments:
A. "He [Mr. Santos] would have been a lot more banged up if it were me."
B. Sheriff Lewis "applauded" the efforts of Defendant Crowell.
C. Defendant Crowell "actually restrained himself."
D. "[I]f lethal force were used it would have been completely justified."
Mr. Santos had a criminal jury trial in the summer of 2015. The charge of Assault of a Police Officer was dismissed. Santos was found NOT GUILTY of Second Degree Assault (an offensive touching of Deputy Crowell). He was found GUILTY of Resisting Arrest (resisting or refused to submit to arrest). He was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol (which he did not dispute). Other lesser charges filed against Mr. Santos, including traffic charges, resulted in convictions. Mr. Santos was sentenced to prison as a result of the incident. His injuries are generally untreated and permanent.
A civil case was later filed by Mr. Santos to recover for what he claims was excessive police force, that was unnecessary and caused his permanent injuries, including his broken back. On June 14, 2016, Sheriff Lewis was subpoenaed for a deposition, to explain and elaborate on facts related to his comments above. He refused to voluntarily appear. Rather, Sheriff Lewis, through his attorney, stated:Rather, Sheriff Lewis indicated: [I] am not willing to [appear voluntarily]. If you [Mr. Santos] decide to subpoena me, [I] anticipate [my lawyer] will file a motion to quash or for a protective order.
It is almost unheard of for a person, no matter what his or her status, to simply refuse to appear for a deposition. Therefore, on June 20, 2016, Sheriff Lewis, through his attorneys, did in fact file a "Motion to Quash" the Subpoena. According to Sheriff Lewis' attorney, his comments "were entirely of his own opinion" and Sheriff Lewis "does not possess any potentially relevant information about the case." Likewise, according to Sheriff Lewis, "he has no personal knowledge about the case" and was simply "provid[ing]" a media statement supporting his subordinate."
According to Mr. Santos, however, if Sheriff Lewis has no knowledge about the case, why say, without any reason or provocation, that "[Santos] would have been a lot more banged up if it were me?" Also, if he knows nothing about the case, why say "if lethal [deadly] force were used it would have been completely justified." According to Mr. Santos, these are either the remarks of someone with specific, unique knowledge of the case, or someone who is literally out of control and dangerous as a Sheriff of a law enforcement agency. No one, at least in Mr. Santos opinion, should be "banged up" or "killed" if you do not know the facts, simply because you support other deputies in your department. That is not law enforcement, but murder.
Salisbury News would like to know the thoughts and opinions of its readers on this issue. Is Sheriff Lewis correct? Or, alternatively, do his comments demonstrate a deeper problem with his Department and maybe others, one where they may believe they is above law, and can use force (deadly or otherwise) without any accountability whatsoever. History is full of such examples where trouble has followed when things rise to this level-see Los Angeles in the early 1990s, for example. There are no "right" answers to this issue; readers please opine.
Obama Responds To Maryland Sheriff “You Will Be First To Surrender Your Gun” - Departed
“As long as I’m sheriff in this county I will not allow the federal government to come in here and strip my citizens of their right to bear arms. I can tell you this, if they attempt to do that it would be an all out civil war, no question about it,” states Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis.
Sheriff Lewis states he’s been carrying a gun almost since he could walk, whether it be in hunting or in the course of his job as sheriff. He adamantly states that guns are not a problem at all for law abiding citizens. It is surely his actual experience with guns that gives him his realistic, non-fear-based point of view on our Second Amendment, it is his integrity that makes him defend it.
Those are 2 characteristics too often lacking in law enforcement these days. Sheriffs are, of course, elected, so they are generally more in line with our Constitution. All other law enforcement are borne of a legislative process.
After This Obama Responded “You Will Be First To Surrender Your Gun”.

BREAKING NEWS: NON BREATHING CHILD DUE TO DROWNING AT WICOMICO TOURISM FACILITY
Salisbury Fire Department is responding to a non breathing child at this moment. This story is developing...
Dispatch is all screwed up. They have called in Station 2, a volunteer station. Because of the delay, Station 74 is on a different call and dispatch called them in. They can't respond because they are on another call.
The child is out of the water and CPR is in progress.
This is ridiculous. Station 74 is now responding but WHY can't they send a chase vehicle from let's say Station 16 to immediately respond and start CPR. But they call themselves PROFESSIONALS!
PRIORITY 1, 6 year old pediatric patient being transported to PRMC.

I am writing this because of an injustice that occurred in Wicomico County June of 2015. The purpose for this letter is for informative purposes only. As a citizen of the United States of America I feel it is my duty to inform you of this incident.
I was arrested and charged not once but twice with a crime that I did not commit. The Wicomico County Sheriffs Office had the evidence in hand and a peace Order that was denied by the judge and still they came surrounded my house with guns took me out of my house (all on camera) handcuffed me did not ask me if I committed the alleged crime did not read me my rights then proceeded to take me to Wicomico County Detention Center. The officer had me handcuffed in an unmarked small car put me in the front seat and proceeded to EXCEED the speed limit which was 65 on the highway when I asked numerous times to please slow down at least to the speed limit because of the handcuffs behind my back I was just about at the windshield. Cpl Hamilton of WBI was driving and Officer Trp. Elzy was in the backseat. She refused to slow down. 4th and 5th amendment and 14th amendment -civil rights section1 rights in criminal cases deprived of life liberty or property without due process of the law. When we arrived at the Wicomico County Detention Center we sat in front of the gate for approximately ten minutes until Sheriff Mike Lewis pulled up Cpl. Hamilton rolled down my window and Sheriff Lewis pulled up to my side and proceeded to yell Who the hell do you think you are coming in my town talking to my juror If you think you come in my town think again with some other obscenities( we have repeatedly asked to preserve the footage of him at the Detention Center). Once inside I was booked and stripped and had to squat over a nasty dirty mirror in front of a detention employee then had to put on detention clothes.I was put in a cell with a window and an open toilet and male detention Officer had the privilege of walking by UNANNOUNCED AT ANYTIME. I was arrested at 2pm. I did not see the commissioner until 9pm that night I was denied a call to a lawyer they said I had to see the commissioner first. My bail was set at 200,000 dollars violates my eight amendment excessive bail. I was exercising my first amendment right of free speech. When I was asked to leave I left (they have it on video).Without incident. I have a right to ask a juror questions about a trial. In the jail cell the toilet had feces, blood and urine on the toilet and no toilet paper. I made four request for toilet paper at 4am they brought in toilet paper after a made another request and the man said to the woman detention officer “really your not giving the girl toilet paper” and then she brought it at 4am. At approximately 10am I was brought before the bail board and the man told the judge I said the word kill (which is an absolute lie not even in the mans statement did he say I said that word). At the bail hearing they did a Maryland Sentencing Guideline Worksheet it concluded that I should be released on my own recognizance instead he reduced bail to 30,000 dollars without a percent again violation of my rights. Then I had to wait until 4pm that day to be released. I went down to probation for an ankle bracelet I could not go to the beach in the water take a bath go on vacation also was restricted from any cell phone or computer use and had to be in by 9pm and was not allowed to talk about the case to anyone per judge and probation Officers.Once on probation I had to report once a week again take off my pants squat over a mirror in front of random officers and urinate in a cup. I had fines to pay weekly. I had to charge my ankle bracelet for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. I was told I was not charging it for one full hour so they were going to make me charge it for two hours in the morning and two hours at night. For 112 days a total of approximately 284 hours of charging approximately 11 days of charging. I don't know how old you are but I am 52 now 11 days of my life I sat and charged an ankle bracelet.I have never been arrested I have owned a successful childcare facility with my mother for 12 years. I supported my husband and he is retired Air Force and still continues to support MDA and NAVY in defending our country working out of NASA Wallops Flight Facility in a role that has taken him to PMRF WSMR Norway Alaska ect. on projects such as JFTM-4 JS KIRISHIMA 2010 in Kauai he has traveled and worked on over 250 successful missile launches for the United States of America to help protect our Constitution.

Hey Joe,
Interesting place to park!
Saw this parked behind rite aid on college and 13 S, yesterday, Monday lunchtime.
Interesting place to park!
Shock Horror!
Everyone was so surprised when Great Britain voted to leave the European Union last Thursday. It certainly was a huge defeat for globalists (the European version of our DC Establishment) who thought they had Europe sewn up without a hitch! Guess bets are not always as they seem...
All opinion polls said the Remains were going to be the victors, so what happened?
LA Mayor Tom Bradley (1982) |
Back in 1982, then Los Angeles mayor, Tom Bradley ran for governor of California. Pretty much the same thing happened. All the opinion and exit polls demonstrated he would win by a landslide. Looking like he was 14% above his challenger, he was assured to win. Well, as you can guess, he lost miserably, leaving many perplexed as to what happened. Hence, when it was discovered...
Many voters, afraid of being called racist for not wanting to vote for him. In the spirit of politically correct and fear of public humiliation, they hid their real intentions and voted the way they wanted in the voting booth. Needless to say, the media and pollsters were left scratching their pointed little heads because they called it based on the opinion polls.
Brexit Celebration |
Trump Rally of Diversity |
Houston, Texas |
If you notice, most times, the closet Trump people simply smile and say nothing at all or nod in agreement while changing the subject. Because, after all, what goes down in the booth is between an individual and Mr. Voting Machine - no one else's business whatsoever.
Albany, NY |
The way the mainstream media heralds his lack of Latino, Black or Female voters, one would think he wouldn't be able to fill a one stall bathroom! Yet, images completely counter their nonsensical banter and fishy little polls. He's filling arenas with thousands upon thousands of seats with people lined up outside, waiting to enter. In fact, more people come out now than in the beginning of the primary when he was a novelty.
Does this mean all the so-called opinion polls are telling false tales and another Bradley Effect is at play? Perhaps. It does smack of the later given the hard evidence.
Guess we'll have to wait for November 8th to find out, much like we wait to see what Santa has for us under the tree on Christmas morning!
UPDATE:
Per a request from one of my readers, here are two Clinton Rally pictures. (See Getty Images Watermark for Authenticity). From the looks of it, it's a fairly recent image! The second has a corresponding story with link listed. While some of her rallies are packed, they are usually in small venues; not the type of rallies as seen with Trump's campaign!Getty Images |

The Washington Post Picks Up Cecil County States Attorney Edward Rollins Story, Links To Salisbury News
Did a Md. prosecutor get publicly ‘indecent’ in front of Ocean City cops? After blogger inquires, charges filed
After the chief prosecutor of Cecil County, Md., Edward “Ellis” Rollins III (R), was arrested last Wednesday by Ocean City, Md., police for indecent exposure, the Ocean City state’s attorney told the police to release his prosecutorial colleague without charges. Rollins, 60, had just been the keynote speaker at the summer conference of the Maryland State’s Attorneys’ Association, held at the same hotel where he was arrested.
But then a local blogger got tipped to the arrest and release, and called the Ocean City prosecutor. Then the blogger posted a story and photo Friday, allegedly of the exposed Rollins, along with many specific details of the events, which reportedly went well beyond just standing around naked. On Monday, the Worcester County State’s Attorney Beau Oglesby (R) charged his prosecutorial colleague with four misdemeanors, for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Ocean City Hotel Must Pay Fine After Removing Bird Nests
OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Coastal Bays Program says 14 migratory bird nests that included 40 gull eggs have been illegally removed from a hotel in Ocean City.
Media outlets report that in May, the manager of the Comfort Inn on the Ocean City boardwalk ordered maintenance staff to remove all bird nests from the roof. Some of the eggs were hatching at the time, but MCBP spokeswoman Sandi Smith says none of the birds survived.
For all but three species of migratory birds, house sparrows, pigeons and starlings, removal of nests is a federal offense under the Migratory Bird Treaty. Smith says hotel workers didn’t realize it was illegal to remove the nests.
The Natural Resource Police have ordered the hotel to appear in court and pay a $450 fine.

Gov. Larry Hogan Won’t Vote For Trump Or Clinton
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — Governor Larry Hogan is speaking out about the 2016 presidential election. For the first time, he has publicly said he will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.
Governor Hogan said he’s not thrilled about either candidate and won’t let party politics stand in the way of his judgment.
“I mean, there’s no way I can vote for Hillary Clinton, but in good conscience, I wasn’t a supporter of Donald Trump either. I don’t think either party has put up the best candidates. I’m a little frustrated and a little disgusted with national politics these days. I’m trying to stay focused on Maryland,” Gov. Hogan said.

Cafe Told to Remove 'God Bless America' Banner
Whenever folks in Penfield, New York get a hankering for pancakes for lunch – they head over to the 5 Mile Café.
The family-owned restaurant is known in those parts for serving breakfast any time of the day (order their homemade corned beef hash).
They are also known for their patriotism.
“We are very patriotic here at the café – all year round –not just this time of year,” owner Jennifer Aquino told me. “We have American flags and patriotic things around the café.”
So Jennifer decided to ask the town for a permit so she could post a “God Bless America” banner on the front of her restaurant. She wanted to display the banner from Memorial Day through Independence Day.
But Penfield has a strict banner allotment policy. Businesses are only allowed to post banners for a total of three weeks out of the year. And Jennifer had used up her allotment.
Instead of posting the banner outside the restaurant, she posted it inside. And that was that – until the Orlando terrorist attack.
“I decided on my way to work that I was going to put it up regardless of the town telling me I couldn’t,” she said. “So I put it up.”

Seacrets Owner Leighton Moore Talks New Distillery, Amazing Growth Of Business, Importance Of People
OCEAN CITY — When Seacrets owner Leighton Moore sets a deadline, you can expect literal and proverbial mountains to be moved in order to hit it.
This week, the newest tower in the Seacrets kingdom opened on the anniversary of the former 40-seat tiki bar’s inception. Now, 28 years later, Seacrets is one of the biggest clubs in the country, and with this week’s opening of the Seacrets Distillery, it also signifies a shift in business model and the long-term strategy for Moore and his team.
Moore sat down with The Dispatch this week to talk distillation, the idiosyncratic art of making a successful bar and how he likes to do big things in the community all while keeping as low of a profile as he can.
Q: This week marks the beginning of the next chapter in what some may call the ‘Seacrets Empire’ with the grand opening of the new three-story, 12,000-square-foot Seacrets Distillery. I was here when you broke ground in late October for this building and now we are just days from its much anticipated opening. Tell me about the past few months to get this up and running and your excitement about people seeing this vision and plan come to fruition.

Courts say living by Christian faith illegal
It started out with hints of official, United States governmental oppression of Christianity as soon as same-sex “marriage” became a bullet point for activists – little things like “discrimination” complaints that those choosing alternative sexual lifestyles somehow weren’t applauded as they thought they deserved.
Then it became confrontational for Christians who were simply choosing to live by their beliefs – beliefs similar to those held by the nation’s founders. Bakers were penalized for not promoting homosexuality, ditto for photographers and venue owners. Government officials publicly vilified their Christian faith and ordered them, in some case, re-educated.
Now two rulings have been released that cement the American court system’s determination that Christians must not be allowed, under threat of penalty and punishment, to live as they believe in business or in public life.
Specifically, the U.S. Supreme Court left standing a lower court decision that Washington state pharmacists who are Christian must violate their faith in order to practice their profession. And the second decision came from a federal judge in Mississippi who had established a reputation for ruling against Christians who said county clerks in the state must violate their faith in order to hold their office.

Grandpa Rapes 2-Year-Old Granddaughter, Muslim Mother Decides To “Fix It”
Emirates 24|7 reports that after 23-year-old Merfat had put her child down for the night, she retired to her bedroom in the house she shared with her 59-year-old father, Faraj, in Sohag, Egypt. However, she soon awoke to the cries of her little girl, coming from her father’s room.
Merfat opened the door to find her daughter, 2-year-old Grace Ahmed, being violently raped by Faraj, the child’s own grandfather.
Instead of attacking her daughter’s rapist and saving her child, Merfat ran some bath water in a small tub, undressed the girl, and placed her terrified, bleeding baby inside. At the hands of her own mother, little Grace was held underwater until she drown.
According to Merfat, she murdered her own daughter to “avoid scandal” in the overwhelmingly Muslim town.

Law Professor Files Complaint Against Mosby
A George Washington University law professor is filing a complaint against Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby over the investigation and prosecution of six police officers in the death of a black man who was critically injured in the back of a police van.
John F. Banzhaf III says his complaint is being filed Wednesday with Maryland's Attorney Grievance Commission. Among other things, Banzhaf says in his 10-page complaint that Mosby appears to have violated Maryland's rules of professional conduct for lawyers, which requires that a prosecutor refrain from prosecuting a charge unless it is supported by probable cause.
So far, Mosby's office has tried three of the six officers charged in Freddie Gray's 2015 death. Two prosecutions ended in not guilty verdicts and a third resulted in a mistrial.

Three Officers Cite "Defect" In Prosecution As Grounds For Dismissal
Three of the four remaining officers who face trial in the death of Freddie Gray are asking for their case to be dismissed arguing a "defect in the institution of prosecution."
In motions posted on the Court's website, Lt. Brian Rice, Officer Garrett Miller and Sgt. Alicia White, are all seeking the dismissal.
The request is based on what attorneys say are "defects" raised at the District Court and Circuit Court levels.
Attorneys for all three officers cite an affidavit unsealed last week by Baltimore City Sheriff's Major Sam Cogen, who, along with State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, was also sued for wrongful arrest by the three officers.

East Coast states want to tax drivers’ travel, not their gas
A group of East Coast states wants to help overhaul the way America pays for its decaying roads, and it’s starting with Monopoly money.
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Hampshire are proposing pilots to figure out how they might charge motorists a fee for the miles they travel — rather than taxing their gas, as state and federal officials do today.
The I-95 Corridor Coalition, which represents transportation officials from 16 states and the District of Columbia, applied for a federal grant last month to test the idea.
Officials would stitch together the policies and technologies needed to count the miles driven by 50 recruits from each of the four states, including state legislators, transportation officials or other willing guinea pigs. They would send out “faux invoices” monthly. And they would collect the data that legislatures — and the driving public — would require to decide if the change makes sense.

'F--- America!' Muslim woman makes terror threats at LAX
Just one day after 49 people were murdered in an Islamic terror attack at a “gay” nightclub in Orlando, Florida, a Muslim woman at Los Angeles International Airport was caught on video making terrorist threats against the U.S. and blasting homosexuals.
On June 14, video journalist Tony Vera recorded an interview with the self-professed worshiper of Allah who had just been searched and released by police outside LAX.
When Vera wished the woman a safe flight, she responded: “I’m gonna have a safe flight, but none of you is gonna have a safe sleep. Wait and see for yourself.”
As the conversation continued, the woman declared, “F— America!” as she raised both of her middle fingers to the camera.

PHOTOS: UN military vehicles seen rolling down Virginia interstate
What were United Nations vehicles doing in Virginia on Friday?
That’s what motorists were left to wonder when they saw UN tactical vehicles — with bulletproof glass — on a flatbed truck and rolling down Interstate 81.
Jeff Stern posted several photos of Facebook and added the description, “Can’t begin to tell you how many of these I passed today on 81 near Lexington, VA. Interesting times ahead!”

Source: Hillary Clinton To Meet With FBI On Saturday
Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Saturday with the FBI, a source close to the investigation into her private email server tells The Daily Caller.
The source went on to suggest the interview may take place at her Washington, D.C. home.
The bureau’s interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is believed to be the final step in its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified information on Clinton’s private email server.
Hundreds of now-classified documents — some of them “Top Secret” — were sent and received through Clinton’s private server, which she housed at her New York residence during her tenure at the State Department.
