Walled Lake teacher: Trump tweets prompted firing; district denies it

A Walled Lake teacher maintains he was fired after tweeting his support for President Donald Trump earlier this month, but the school district denies his support for Trump was the reason for his termination.

Justin Kucera, a 28-year-old social studies teacher and baseball coach at Walled Lake Western High School, said he was summoned to a Zoom meeting with district administrators and questioned about three tweets he sent July 6.

Kucera retweeted a Trump tweet, saying "SCHOOLS MUST OPEN IN THE FALL!!!" and also tweeted:

"I'm done being silent. @realDonaldTrump is our president ... Don't @ me"

The latter tweet received several responses, including one that Kucera responded to with a tweet that said, "Liberals suck man." The tweet was later deleted.

A few days later, Kucera said he received an email from district supervisors asking him to attend a Zoom meeting about his tweets.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: In Early July BLM Contributions Moved to the Tides Center – A George Soros Linked Entity

Donations to Black Lives Matter were flowing through Democrat Funding apparatus ActBlue and then to Thousand Currents, a non-for-profit entity with a terrorist from the Weather Underground on its Board.

This must have looked bad so the Democrats and BLM moved the contributions to BLM from Thousand Currents to George Soros connected Tides Foundation.

We reported on May 30th the in Democrat-led cities around the country were coordinated and related to three main groups: 1) US based Islamist Organizations, 2) Domestic terrorists, and 3) Others related to the Democrat Party.

We then were the first to report that BLM was raising money using ActBlue as a resource. The Daily Caller confirmed this and reported that BLM is not a non-profit organization and nonprofit organization (Thousand Currents) said it provides ‘fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services to BLM.

Can’t Make This Up! First Presidential Debate Will Be at Cleveland Clinic… In Case Senile Joe Needs a Jolt

As Cristina Laila reported earlier — Notre Dame on Monday withdrew from hosting a presidential debate scheduled for September 29 due to concerns over COVID-19.

Notre Dame announced: After consultation with Dr. Mark Fox, St. Joseph County deputy health officer, and with the unanimous support of the Executive Committee of the University’s Board of Trustees, Father Jenkins made what he called “this difficult decision because the necessary health precautions would have greatly diminished the educational value of hosting the debate on our campus.”

“I am grateful to the many members of the University community who have devoted countless hours planning this event, and to the Commission on Presidential Debates leadership for their professionalism and understanding,” said the Rev. John Jenkins, the president of Notre Dame, in a statement. “But in the end, the constraints the coronavirus pandemic put on the event — as understandable and necessary as they are — have led us to withdraw.”

Father Jenkins was a Barack Obama supporter despite his radical pro-abortion record.

Laura Ingraham Warns Voters on a Democrat Administration: “Imagine If They Have the Justice Department to Terrorize People” (VIDEO)

Victor Davis Hanson joined Laura Ingraham on Monday night on The Ingraham Angle following another weekend of leftist violence.

Laura warned American voters about the sheer terror of a Biden DOJ stacked full of angry Democrats and Antifa supporters.

Laura Ingraham: Imagine if they have the Justice Department to terrorize people. Now they have people at a bridge stopping cars and they’re throwing roman candles shooting them at federal officials. Imagine when they have the full force of the Justice Department to harass every American who doesn’t go along with their nonsense. That’s what people have to start thinking about.

That sounds like a horror show.
Just ask Mark and Patricia McCloskey!

Disturbing video catches the moment irate woman pepper sprays family having a picnic — allegedly because they weren't wearing masks

A woman has gone viral after reportedly pepper spraying a couple having a picnic in a San Diego, California, dog park — allegedly because they weren't wearing face masks while eating their lunch.

Ash O'Brien says that she and her husband, Jarret Kelley, were minding their own business and enjoying a sunny picnic lunch with their three-month-old puppy when a raving woman approached them.

O'Brien says that the masked woman called the couple "idiots" and stuck up her middle finger at the two dining before deploying pepper spray at them and their food.

Video footage of the incident shows the unnamed woman appearing to spray a substance on and around Kelley while O'Brien hysterically wails in the background.

The footage, which was captured by a bystander, shows Kelley attempting to wrest the purported spray away from the woman as the bystander shouts, "What is your problem? You just maced him! You just maced him and their food because you disagree!"

Topless lawsuit moves to federal appeals court

Women seek legal grounds to sunbathe bare chested, OC officials firmly opposed

(July 24, 2020) Ocean City officials have another court date pending in the years’-long lawsuit brought by female toplessness advocates who are appealing the U.S. District Court’s recent ruling that upheld the resort’s ordinance prohibiting bare breasts on the beach.

Championing the idea that women have the same rights as men regarding chest exposure in public, Chelsea Eline, along with co-plaintiffs Megan Bryant, Rose MacGregor, Christine Coleman, and Angela Urban, filed suit against Ocean City officials in January 2018.

The topic was raised in August 2016 after Eline informed the Worcester County State’s Attorney Office and the OC Police of her intentions to sunbathe topless on the beach.

In June 2017, Ocean City officials adopted an emergency ordinance to preserve the “family-oriented character and quality of Ocean City and its beaches, and to protect the sensibilities of Ocean City’s residents and visitors.”

Walmart, Home Depot, CVS, will serve Customers who don't wear Mask

PITTSBURGH (CNN/KDKA) — Walmart and other major retailers made headlines last week with a new requirement for customers to wear masks in its US stores. But the new rules only go so far.

Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walgreens, CVS and others say they still won’t prohibit customers who refuse to wear a mask from shopping in stores. The issue, they say, is they want to avoid confrontations between angry customers and employees.

Retailers and their employees are finding themselves playing the uncomfortable role of mask police. The increase in coronavirus cases is prompting concern over how to protect both customers and workers in crowded stores from infecting each other.

There is no federal mandate to wear a mask, and many state and local governments have not required wearing one. This has forced retailers to navigate a patchwork system and left them in the position of having to create their own policies.

“Many retailers feel like they have to act since some governors haven’t,” said Melissa Murdock, spokesperson for the Retail Industry Leaders Association, which represents companies such as Walmart, Target, Walgreens and others. The group wrote to the National Governors Association on July 6, saying that public officials should issue uniform mask mandates across all 50 states.

WATCH: Mike Ditka on Anthem Protests: ‘If You Can’t Respect Our National Anthem, Get the Hell Out of the Country’

Legendary NFL coach Mike Ditka has clear, unmistakable thoughts on what should happen to athletes who refuse to stand in respect for the national anthem.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, the man known affectionately throughout Chicago and maybe less affectionately in Green Bay as, ‘Da Coach,” blasted the athletes demonstrating against the country that has given them so much.

“If you can’t respect our national anthem, get the hell out of the country,” Ditka said. “That’s the way I feel. Of course, I’m old fashioned, so I’m only going to say what I feel.”

Judge: Feds in Portland Don't Have to Identify Themselves

A federal judge in Oregon has ruled that federal agents sent to Portland to protect government buildings and monuments do not have to identify themselves when making an arrest. The Oregon attorney general had sued the government, demanding that limits be placed on the arrest and detention of suspects.

But U.S. District Judge Michael Mosman found that state Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum “lacked standing” to bring the lawsuit in the first place and had failed to articulate any state interest beyond protecting the constitutional rights of individuals.
The suit was one of several pending legal actions against the Trump administration that allege violations of rioters’ constitutional rights. In another related legal action, a judge ruled in favor of journalists and legal observers who claim police were barring them from doing their jobs.
Mosman’s ruling came one day after another federal judge in Portland, US District Judge Michael Simon, granted an order restricting the activities of federal officers. Simon entered a temporary restraining order on Thursday that bars federal officers from arresting or using force specifically against journalists and legal observers at demonstrations unless there is probable cause that they committed a crime. Simon also ruled that clearly marked journalists and legal observers did not have to follow dispersal orders, writing that journalists are present to report on whether authorities are acting within the law.
“Without journalists and legal observers, there is only the government’s side of the story to explain why a ‘riot’ was declared and the public streets were ‘closed’ and whether law enforcement acted properly in effectuating that order,” Simon wrote.

USPS Fails Mail-In Ballot Test

CBS News decided to test the system upon which the government will entrust the sanctity of the ballot this November. And the U.S. Postal Service flubbed it.
This is not about gaming the system, or voter fraud, or stuffing the mail with fake ballots from illegal aliens. This is about the competency of the USPS to deliver official ballots sent through the mail on time, and to the right people. They proved that the 100 million or more Americans who plan to mail in their ballots should not expect their vote to be counted unless they mail it weeks prior to the election deadlines in each state.
And even then there’s no guarantee it will be processed and counted.
The parameters of the test were simple and straightforward. CBS mailed 100 ballots to locations across Philadelphia in an experiment to see how long it took the ballots to arrive. A post office box was set up to receive the returned ballots.
A few days later, another 100 ballots were mailed to another 100 locations in the city. The results should frighten Democrats who claim they are all about “every vote being counted.”
A week after initial ballots were sent, most ballots appeared to be missing from the P.O. box.
“I don’t see anything back there for you,” a postal worker told Dokoupil when he received the mail. “That’s all I have back there right now.”
After asking for a manager and explaining the situation to them, the votes were found.
“They had them somewhere else,” the postal worker said.

Rabbi Calls for Baseball Boycott Until MLB Disengages from Hate-Filled Politics of BLM

For most of my life, I have agreed with Roger Hornsby, who said that when there is no baseball, he “stares out the window and waits for spring.” That has now changed, and MLB will no longer be watched or supported in my home, and I encourage every person of reason to boycott baseball until it steps away from the hate of Black Lives Matter and returns to being America’s national pastime.

There are no questions about the general hate and specific anti-Semitism, anti-nuclear family rhetoric, and anti-American values of BLM, which are elucidated in BLM’s own manifesto. To quote Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, president of The American Islamic Forum for Democracy, BLM “is avowedly neo-Marxist, anti-capitalist, anti-individualist, anti-democratic and anti-American. It wishes to erase and rewrite America’s history, destroy and rebuild her institutions, and overthrow her political system. In short, it seeks to remake the entire country in its own image.” It is devoted to anti-Semitism, and its very charter calls for the destruction of Israel, calling it an “apartheid nation…committing genocide.”

And yet, Major League Baseball placed the BLM logo on the pitchers’ mounds on Opening Day.

Instead of MLB bringing people together through honest sports competition, baseball has now become like the 1936 Olympics in Berlin: an opportunity for the politics of hate to become more important than the athletic competition. Dr. King taught that we should all judge people “not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character,” and Jackie Robinson said, “I’m not concerned with you liking or disliking me…all I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” BLM as an organization, as well as its local and national leaders, is committed to its agenda rather than the content of a person’s character. They have no respect for anyone who thinks differently than they do. It is an organization founded on racist hate.

Hertz has to sell 182,000 cars by 2021

Two months after filing for bankruptcy protection, Hertz finally has a plan in place to attempt to stay afloat until 2021. To appease lenders and maintain future business, it will unload nearly 200,000 of the manufacturer's total leased vehicles, numbering under 500,000.

The long-awaited bulk sale of 182,521 cars will take place over the course of the rest of the year, with a deadline set for December 31st, in order to fund an agreed $650 million in other lease-related debts. The number is a step up from the 144,000-car shedding Hertz had proposed last month, but leaves the company with a large enough fleet to maintain a viable business when it emerges from bankruptcy into a world that will, hopefully, involve enough routine travel for rental cars to be a viable business enterprise.

The deal is a direct result of a more positive used car market than the one Hertz had previously faced when it announced its filing in May. The market will allow the rental giant to recoup more of its losses than it had previously expected, which seems to have been the sticking point for lenders approving the deal. That same market, however, could look very different by the end of the sale period, thanks in no small part to the potential market flooding of 182,000 former rental cars hitting the market with a requirement to be sold in a specific time period.

Trump's Executive Order will drop the price of Insulin down to Pennies a day

(CNSNews.com) – President Donald Trump signed four executive orders on Friday aimed at lowering the cost of prescription drugs, the first of which, he says, will lead to the cost of insulin dropping to “just pennies a day.”

“The four orders I’m signing today will be on the prescription drug market in terms of pricing and everything else to make these medications affordable and accessible for all Americans. The first order will require federal community health centers to pass the giant discounts they received from drug companies on insulin and EpiPens directly to their patients. You know insulin became so expensive people weren’t able to use it. They desperately needed it,” he said.

Ordinance 119805 prevents the Seattle police from using common law enforcement tools such as pepper spray and tear gas.

The stark admission was made in a letter addressed to Seattle small businesses.

10-Year Sentence In 2018 Vehicle Homicide Case

SNOW HILL — A Berlin man, convicted of homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs after a fatal collision on Route 589 near Ocean Pines in December 2018, was sentenced last week to 10 years with all but four suspended.

Bryan Wersten, 32, was convicted in February of homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence of controlled dangerous substances and sentencing was deferred. Wersten was the driver of a vehicle that collided with a utility police on Route 589 near Beauchamp Road on December 17, 2018 that claimed the life of his passenger, identified as Michael Hernandez, also of Berlin.

Back in court last week, Wersten was sentenced to 10 years in jail, all but four of which was suspended. He was also placed on supervised probation for five years following his release. Prior to sentencing, prosecutors filed notice with the court which increased the penalty to the maximum 10 years of incarceration due to Wersten’s prior conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol.

US protests: More riots and lawlessness in cities across nation

Saturday’s unrest included damage to federal buildings and local police precincts -- and even a fatal shooting

Another night of rioting and lawlessness exploded in more than half a dozen U.S. cities Saturday night -- with the mayhem including damage to federal buildings, local police precincts, and a fatal shooting in Austin, Texas.

Similar protests and violent demonstrations have been seen across the country following the death of George Floyd, a Black man in Minnesota who died while in police custody. A video of the May 25, 2020, encounter with police officers showed a White officer putting his knee on Floyd's neck for more than 8 minutes. Floyd died later that day.

Floyd's death -- as well as the police shooting death of Breonna Taylor in Louisville,Kentucky, and other Black men and women -- sparked widespread protests and demonstrations in the U.S. and across the world, which still continue in some cities to this day.

Here’s a recap of some of the developments in a sampling of cities.

Kevin McCarthy: Dems failing on China, virus, riots -- 'That's why we need Trump'

'Who in America will feel safe if the Democrats control the country?' the House majority leader asks

"The Democrats have a China problem," according to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who appeared on "Justice with Judge Jeanine" on Saturday.

"I don't know what China, the Communist Party, has on the Democrats, but it's being very effective that they're holding back any accountability to China and the ability for us to go in, not only to punish them for the virus," McCarthy said. "But they're actually slowing the process down for a vaccine, that they won't punish individuals when they want to hack into it."

Nolte: Violent Crime Explosion Forces Minneapolis Residents to Form Militias

“Minneapolis residents in some areas still recovering from rioting and unrest are forming community watch and security groups, some bearing firearms, to fight a surge of crime,”reports the Wall Street Journal.

While no one can blame the residents — in fact they should be applauded for doing what it takes to protect their own – this is, in ways I’ll explain below, not good. It is, however, a sign of things to come in countless Democrat-run cities:

In late June, residents near a commercial strip that had been looted, and the 3rd Precinct station that was abandoned and burned, were seeing a surge of shooting and drug-related crime on their block.

“It got to the point where crime had no consequences,” said Tania Rivera, 30, who runs a child-care center with her mother. “It was being done deliberately out in the open. Drive-through drug dealing, drive-through prostitution, everything from gunshots to assaults to sex out in the public. Everything you didn’t want your neighborhood to look like.”

So after a number of community meetings, neighbors began constructing a barrier to close off two blocks of their street, first with trash cans, then debris. For a while, a boat on a trailer protected one intersection. Eventually, a nearby iron maker constructed a permanent gate. Police gave their approval as long as emergency responders could get through if requested by the neighborhood.

NBC 5 noted that weekend shootings began Friday with a non-fatal incident just after 5 pm, when two individuals were shot while standing in a gas station parking lot “in the 800 block of West 59th Street.”

Less than 30 minutes later a 19-year-old was shot and left in serious condition while sitting on a porch on West Cullerton. The violence continued from there.

Nolte: Hate-Hoaxer Jussie Smollett Attends BLM Protest Outside Trump Tower

Disgraced hate-hoaxer Jussie Smollett attended a Black Lives Matter protest outside Trump Tower this weekend.

Smollett was spotted wearing a face mask and raising his fist in solidarity with a protest that took place all day Saturday, reports the Daily Mail. The protest included a demand that President Donald Trump and Vice president Pence resign and a flag that read “Revolution Now!”

Smollett, who’s 38, is now infamous for fabricating the most inept hate hoax in the history of inept hate hoaxes. In January of 2019, the firedEmpire star claimed he’d been attacked by two Trump supporters, complete with red Make America Great Again hats, who assaulted him because he is gay and black and famous. For whatever reason, maybe because he’s stupid, Smollett was under the assumption everyone would believe a couple of Trump supporters would be out after midnight in sub-freezing downtown Chicago hunting for someone gay and black and famous to assault.

America's Major Cities Are Being Turned Into War Zones, And It's Not Going To End In November

The civil unrest that we witnessed all across America this weekend was extremely alarming. For a few weeks, it seemed like the chaos that erupted in the immediate aftermath of the tragic death of George Floyd was subsiding, but in recent days there has been a dramatic resurgence. Within the last 48 hours, there have been eruptions of violence in major cities such as Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Oakland, Louisville, Austin and Richmond. At this point we have seen sustained protests and rioting for nearly two months straight, and it looks like the chaos isn’t going to disappear any time soon.

Over the past few weeks, a few people have written me emails suggesting that the civil unrest will disappear if Joe Biden wins the election in November.

But I don’t believe that this is true. Virtually all of the rioting is happening in cities that are controlled by Democrats, and the leftist politicians that run those cities do not have any control over the Marxist protesters at all.

For example, just look at what has been happening in Seattle and Portland. The politicians that run those cities are radical Democrats, and yet those radical Democrats have been completely and utterly unable to end the violence. The following comes from the Daily Mail

The streets of Seattle turned violent Saturday when protesters set fire to a youth detention center and a police precinct. Other protesters threw rocks, bottles, fireworks and other explosives at cops, with the unrest leading local authorities to declare protests had turned into ‘riots that afternoon’.

Portland geared up for its 59th night of unrest Saturday with swathes of demonstrators marching from the federal building to the Portland Marriott where they believe federal officers are staying, in the wake of a violent night Friday that ended with at least one person stabbed.

To me, it is absolutely amazing that Portland has had 59 days of protests in a row.

‘Obamagate’ Isn’t A Conspiracy Theory, It’s The Biggest Political Scandal Of Our Time

When former president Barack Obama told supporters last week that the Justice Department’s decision to drop the case against former White House National Security Adviser Mike Flynn is a “threat to the rule of law,” he was relying wholly on the fiction, willingly propagated for years by a pliant media, that the Russia-Trump collusion probe launched by his administration was lawful and legitimate.

But of course it wasn’t. A string of recently released documents have confirmed that the entire Russia-Trump investigation, which eventually entrapped Flynn and forced then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself, was an unprecedented abuse of power that amounted to an organized effort by the Obama administration to nullify the results of the 2016 presidential election. It was in effect an attempted coup.

f you haven’t picked that up from the news media, it’s not your fault. Instead of grappling with the implications of newly released details about what Obama officials were doing to undermine the incoming Trump administration during the transition, the mainstream media have fixated on Trump’s use of the term “Obamagate,” dismissing it as a conspiracy theory.

Michigan county treasurer rebuked for seizing retiree's home over $8 tax debt

Commissioners say they are forming special investigative committee to look into forfeiture practices

Officials in one Michigan county are demanding answers from their treasurer amid concerns that the county could be on the hook for millions of dollars in payments to former homeowners whose properties were seized under a tough forfeiture practice.

Oakland County commissioners sent an angry letter last week to Treasurer Andrew Meisner after the Michigan Supreme Court rebuked the county’s decision to seize one homeowner’s house after he underpaid his taxes by $8.41.

The commissioners said that they are forming a special investigative committee to look into the forfeiture practices and "make recommendations to protect the Oakland County taxpayers."

“It appears your actions as Treasurer to foreclose on an Oakland County retiree’s property for $8.41 has exposed the county to serious risk,” the July 21 letter to Meisner, signed by board Chairman David Woodward and commissioners Mike Gingell and Helen Zack, said, according to the Detroit News.

Meisner did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment.

Biden and Dems Are Set to Abolish the Suburbs

President Trump had a great riff at his rally the other day in Phoenix. It was all about “abolish,” about how the Left wants to abolish the police, ICE, bail, even borders. Trump’s riff is effective because it is true. The Left has gone off the deep end, and they’re taking the Democrats with them.

Well, there’s another “abolish” the president can add to his list, and it just might be enough to tip the scales this November. Joe Biden and the Democrats want to abolish America’s suburbs. Biden and his party have embraced yet another dream of the radical Left: a federal takeover, transformation, and de facto urbanization of America’s suburbs. What’s more, Biden just might be able to pull off this “fundamental transformation.”

The suburbs are the swing constituency in our national elections. If suburban voters knew what the Democrats had in store for them, they’d run screaming in the other direction. Unfortunately, Republicans have been too clueless or timid to make an issue of the Democrats’ anti-suburban plans. It’s time to tell voters the truth.

I’ve been studying Joe Biden’s housing plans, and what I’ve seen is both surprising and frightening. I expected that a President Biden would enforce the Obama administration’s radical AFFH (Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing) regulation to the hilt. That is exactly what Biden promises to do. By itself, that would be more than enough to end America’s suburbs as we’ve known them, as I’ve explained repeatedly here at NRO.
