OC Restaurant Files For Reorganization
Satellite Restaurants Inc. owns and operates the 120th Street Crabcake Factory USA, which turns 25 years old next year.
“Crabcake Factory is an Ocean City icon and we don’t plan on changing a thing in regards to ability to deliver the delicious food and drinks that Ocean City knows and loves. Phil Collins sues ex-wife Orianne after she allegedly refused to move out
Phil Collins has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, after she allegedly refused to leave his Miami Beach, Florida, home after marrying another man in Las Vegas in August. Collins, 69, claimed he gave Cevey, 46, until Monday, Oct. 12 to move out but she failed to do so, according to People.
Filed on Wednesday, the lawsuit accuses Cevey of unlawful detainer and forcible entry. In the documents, Collins claims Orianne and her new husband, Thomas Bates, have “taken possession of the property by a show of force” and allegedly have hired “armed guards to patrol the Property with openly displayed firearms.”
Five hurt after store explosion near Virginia’s James Madison University
Among the victims were three James Madison University students who suffered minor injuries.
The trio had been standing outside the store when the explosion occurred, part of an Army ROTC running group which had been involved in a 10-mile race, the finish line of which was just yards from the explosion site.
While Gov. Ralph Northam identified the source of the incident as a gas explosion, local officials could not confirm the cause, saying more investigation was needed.

Women’s March in D.C. draws thousands in protest of Supreme Court nominee, Trump
Women wore white lace collars and black robes to honor the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and red robes and white bonnets to mock the woman expected to take her seat — vivid reminders of the cultural battles playing out in the country and the intensity of emotions swirling in the weeks before the election. Some there for the march faced off in a tense confrontation with a group of counterprotesters at the Supreme Court who had come to support Barrett and oppose abortion, yelling, “Keep your laws off my body!”
Ginger Belmonte, 23, said she has come from her home in Frederick County, Md., to Washington every weekend since Ginsburg died.
Pro-Trump artist wants NYC mayor’s job, says ‘monkey with no eyes’ could do better than Bill de Blasio
“I’m not a politician, but neither was Ronald Reagan, neither was Donald Trump,” Scott LoBaido, a 55-year-old self-described “creative patriot” told Fox News on Thursday evening. “Why shouldn’t I run? I can’t do any worse than this clown.”
He criticized New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, over the city’s high taxes, handling of the coronavirus, small-business regulations, lack of support for police and exodus of residents and businesses.
“I think a monkey with no eyes could take over this office and fix this insanity,” he said. “So I think I could do it.”
De Blasio’s ongoing feuds with the city’s police, religious communities and even Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a fellow Democrat, have plagued his administration.
House Republicans ask FBI if it had Hunter Biden's alleged laptop during Trump's impeachment
“If the FBI was, in fact, in possession of this evidence and failed to alert the White House to its existence that would have given even more weight to the president’s legal defense, this was a gross error in judgement and a severe violation of trust,” the letter says.
The letter was written after the New York Post published emails suggesting that Hunter Biden introduced his father to a top executive at Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2015 -- one year before his father allegedly pressured the country's government to fire a prosecutor who had launched an investigation into the company.
The Post reported that the FBI was in possession of the laptop on which the emails were found in December 2019 -- right in the middle of the impeachment of President Trump over remarks he made to the Ukrainian president about Biden’s conduct in the country.
Trump was impeached by the Democratic-controlled House but later acquitted by the Republican-controlled Senate.
A burning desire for a fire, leads to a $50k budget surplus in Ocean City
While most other sources of entertainment went up in flames for the resort city, due to Covid-19 restrictions, it appears, visitors opted to spend their time on the beach in the evening enjoying their friends, family, fresh air, and fires!
Budget Manager Jennie Knapp said the program came in $50,000 over budget, which is significant considering the price tag for a permit is $75.
Mayor Meehan agreed that the program was a huge money maker. That means there were an additional 660 bonfires,” he said. “That number is above what was budgeted, so I’m guessing we’re probably closer to 1,000 bonfires on the beach.”
There were days in July when there were 50 individual permits issued for beach bonfires, sometimes two at the same street. There were 34 bonfire permits issued on a Saturday in mid-August, as another example.
With the arrival of fall and cooler weather, the program still appears to be going strong. For example, there were 14 bonfire permits issued last Friday and another 26 last Saturday. Already, as of this past Thursday, there were 23 bonfire permits issued for today.
A couple of years ago, the Ocean City Fire Marshal’s Office adopted an online platform to allow visitors and residents to apply for beach bonfire permits, streamlining the former in-person method.
Oh rats! Here’s where NYC ranks on list of ‘America’s Rattiest Cities’
New York City came in at No. 3 on a list of “America’s Rattiest Cities” — fueled in part by restaurant closures amid the coronavirus crisis.
Only Los Angeles and Chicago ranked worse in food-scrap-starved rats running wild, according to a report from the pest control company Orkin.
“The pandemic-driven closure of restaurants forced rodents to find new food sources. Without food waste to consume, these pests were seen scavenging new areas and exhibiting unusual or aggressive behavior,” the company said in a press release.
To determine which cities were most infested with the filthy furballs, the company reviewed the number of new rodent treatments administered in residential and commercial buildings over the past year.
Washington, DC, came in just after the Big Apple, ranking fourth-worst, followed by San Francisco and Detroit.
It was the third year in a row perpetually rat-plagued New York City came in at No. 3, while Chicago was ranked first for the sixth consecutive year.
A spokeswoman for the city said a strong effort is underway to kill off rodents in the Big Apple.
Cops arrest two more members of gang with ties to Cardi B
Robert Baley, a 43-year-old with the street name of “Dead Eye,” was arrested Thursday in Scranton, Pa., and 49-year-old Augustus Ingram, a k a the “Elevator,” was busted Wednesday in New York City, according to federal and local police.
The two men were arrested in connection with the 59 Brims gang, a murderous drug-trafficking ring that has been around for at least a decade, authorities said.
Earlier this year, the feds charged Willie Evans and Yonette Respass — the alleged godfather and godmother of the gang.
Respass is more widely known a close friend of Cardi B, who has been a vocal supporter of the 29-year-old.
Members of the gang have “promoted and celebrated, in music and on social media” their criminal exploits and threatened witnesses with violence, the indictment reads.
The gang had been running a criminal enterprise since 2011 that pushed drugs, including crack, heroin and fentanyl, and was connected to bank and wire fraud, as well as murder, according to the indictment.
One suspect, 23-year-old Quaveon Ross dubbed “Bullet,” named in the most recent indicted filed in the Southern District remains on the loose, authorities said.
Governor Hogan Announces Updated Safe Capacity Limits For Outdoor Sporting Venues
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan and Maryland Secretary of Health Robert Neall today issued orders updating safe capacity limits for outdoor sporting and entertainment venues, while maintaining face covering requirements and strict public health protocols.
“With our key health metrics low and stable, we are taking steps to allow more spectators, including fans of the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Football Team, to safely attend games in the stands,” said Governor Hogan. “It remains important to continue following all of the mitigation measures and public health protocols that keep us safe, including wearing masks and practicing physical distancing.”
OUTDOOR SPORTING VENUES. The governor's order limits spectators at outdoor sporting venues to 10% of total capacity, including at M&T Bank Stadium and FedEx Field.
OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT VENUES. The governor's order limits occupancy to 10% for outdoor entertainment venues that have a total capacity greater than 2,500.
FACE COVERINGS AND PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS. The governor’s order requires face coverings at all outdoor sporting and entertainment venues. Under the health secretary’s order, venues must follow social distancing protocols, and social gatherings at the venue—such as tailgating—are prohibited.
Logan Hogan Maryland's disgrace to Democracy throws vote away "to make a statement"
Instead, Gov. Larry Hogan told The Washington Post that he cast a write-in vote last week for late President Ronald Reagan.
Hogan, 64, said that by throwing away his vote to make a statement, he thought he “could help a little bit and show Democrats the kind of Republican they can feel comfortable voting for.”
“I know it’s simply symbolic. It’s not going to change the outcome in my state,” Hogan told the Post, referring to Maryland's reliable history of voting Democratic. “But I thought it was important to just cast a vote that showed the kind of person I’d like to see in office.”
Hogan is not alone: A vocal minority of GOP state leaders have turned their back on Trump during his push for re-election.
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker told CNN earlier this month that he won’t vote for Trump, while their Republican colleague in Vermont, Gov. Phil Scott, has also said he won’t cast a vote for the president in the Nov. 3 election.
ABC silent after Biden town hall attendees identified as ex-Obama speechwriter, wife of prominent Democrat
One of the questioners was Nathan Osburn, who worked for the Office of Public Affairs at the Commerce Department under the Obama-Biden administration and at the Small Business Administration.
Osburn's profession was listed as "communications" on a graphic and his home city was listed as Philadelphia.
Another questioner was Mieke Haeck, who ABC identified as a physical therapist from State College, Pa.
Haeck is also the wife of Ezra Nanes, who in 2018 ran for Pennsylvania state Senate Republican Majority Leader Jake Corman. Nanes is currently an at-large member of the Centre County Democratic Committee.
Nanes praised his wife's appearance at the town hall on Twitter.
DEA seizes record amount of meth in Southern California stash houses
The agency executed the bust on Oct. 2 at stash houses in Riverside County, east of Los Angeles, with ties to the Sinaloa cartel, the DEA said in a statement.
“The largest DEA domestic seizure of methamphetamine in history is a significant blow to the cartels, but more importantly it is a gigantic victory for communities throughout Southern California and the United States who have had to deal with the torrent of methamphetamine coming into their neighborhoods,” DEA Acting Administrator Timothy Shea said at a Wednesday press conference.
Along with 2,224 pounds of meth, the DEA also seized 893 pounds of cocaine and 13 pounds of heroin.
Text messages show raw and intimate exchange between Joe and Hunter Biden
The intimate family exchange took place on February 24, 2019, two months before Joe launched his campaign for the White House.
“Good morning my beautiful son. I miss you and love you. Dad,” the elder Biden wrote at 6:57 a.m.
Hunter responded with a lengthy diatribe about his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, and his father’s political advisers, and he also complained bitterly about a conversation with his sister-in-law-turned-lover, Hallie Biden.
“For f–ks sake hallie for the first time [in] 17 days talks to me to say im an embarrassment. To MY family,” Hunter wrote.
He then admitted, “Well dad, the truth is as you and hallie point out — I am a f–ked up addict that cant be…Trusted relied upon nor defended.”

Bill banning ‘no-knock’ raids in Virginia sent to Gov. Northam
“I applaud my colleagues in the General Assembly for supporting HB 5099,” Virginia Delegate Lashrecse Aird, who introduced the bill, said in a statement. “This bill was drafted with significant input from stakeholders from both law enforcement and the criminal justice community, working together towards the goal of protecting more lives in the Commonwealth.”
The bill passed the House of Delegates last month. However, It's just now being reported!
The legislation, in part, is a response to the death of Breonna Taylor in Kentucky earlier this year. She was killed at home after officers entered to serve a no-knock drug warrant connected with a suspect who did not live there and was already in police custody.

2-year-old girl’s arm ripped off after she reaches into cage of wolfdog
Brenda Pearson, who founded the Howling Timbers Animal Sanctuary in Muskegon, described the horrifying July incident involving Sophia Scraver in a lengthy post on Facebook.
She wrote that she believes her granddaughter “was interested in the shiny collar being worn by one of the wolf dogs. A wolf dog that was friendly, loved to be groomed and preferred human attention over treats.”
Pearson continued: “We believe she grabbed his collar and he pulled to get away. She then got her arm stuck in the fence at the elbow and lost her arm.
Pearson said she was investigated by Child Protective Services officials “who found no wrong doing on my part.”
Last Friday, authorities said they found 47 “illegal” wolfdogs at the facility, in addition to “six red foxes, three coyotes, four eastern box turtles and two fawns,” according to the Mirror.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources said the sanctuary is believed to have been illegally breeding animals, according to the news outlet.
San Francisco may change 'inappropriate' names of 44 city schools, including Washington and Lincoln
The San Francisco School Names Advisory Committee researched school names and identified certain ones for renaming. Some Principals and parents questioned the wisdom of devoting energy on this issue when so many children continue to take remote lessons.
Jonathan Alloy, whose children attend one of the schools on the list, criticized the timing. He said kids are already forced to conduct distance learning, which negatively impacts minorities more so than their peers, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
“Principals are devoting resources to this," he said. “We’re not actually helping disadvantaged children by changing the name of the school they can’t attend."
Some of the schools listed under the proposed name changes included Abraham Lincoln High School, George Washington High School, Roosevelt Middle School, and Jefferson Elementary.
According to the paper, certain criteria by the committee included: "Anyone directly involved in the colonization of people, those connected to any human rights or environmental abuses, slave owners or participants in enslavement, and known racists and/or white supremacists and/or espoused racist beliefs."
Notre Dame colleagues call on Amy Coney Barrett to halt Supreme Court confirmation
The group — which does not include any instructors at Notre Dame Law School, where Barrett, 48, teaches — called on her to “take this unprecedented step” in light of three considerations.
“First, voting for the next president is already underway,” the letter read. “According to the United States Election Project, more than seven million people have already cast their ballots, and millions more are likely to vote before election day.
“The rushed nature of your nomination process, which you certainly recognize as an exercise in raw power politics, may effectively deprive the American people of a voice in selecting the next Supreme Court justice.”
Critics pan NBC town hall, Savannah Guthrie for 'debating' Trump, ABC for giving 'softballs' to Biden
Viewers who tuned into the Peacock Network expected to hear questions from voters. However, Guthrie spent most of the first 20 minutes grilling Trump on masks and White supremacy.
That didn't sit well with many observers.
"How long will NBC go before giving an actual voter the chance to ask a question?" asked pollster Frank Luntz, who later called the "town hall" descriptor of the program "false advertising."
"A third of the way into the NBC town hall and NO questions from the PEOPLE!!!" White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany exclaimed.
"Savannah Guthrie posture toward Trump compared to Lester Holt’s toward Biden is night and day," The Hill media reporter Joe Concha wrote, recalling a previous NBC town hall with the former VP.
"Trump went from debating Biden to Guthrie! Not sure whether this is good or bad yet ... but he's definitely debating tonight," CNN commentator Scott Jennings said.
Biden campaign ‘glad’ Twitter, Facebook censored Post’s Hunter Biden exposé
Biden campaign National Press Secretary Jamal Brown went so far as to claim that the gagging of one of America’s largest newspapers “made clear” that The Post’s reporting on Ukraine- and China-related documents from a Hunter Biden hard drive were untrue.
“What is your campaign’s response to this article and do you think that Twitter is doing the right thing here?” a Cheddar anchor asked Brown of the forming political maelstrom.
“I think Twitter’s response to the actual article itself makes clear that these purported allegations are false and they’re not true and glad to see social media companies like Twitter taking responsibility to limit misinformation,” Brown said.
ABC's George Stephanopoulos avoids explosive Hunter Biden report during Biden town hall
While the Biden campaign previously denied that the former VP had any scheduled meetings with the Burisma adviser at the time, the Democratic nominee received a pass from Stephanopoulos during the 90-minute town hall.
NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck concluded that the omission is "another example of censorship and collusion."
New Jersey high schooler says teacher ordered him to take down Trump banner at home before virtual class
Anthony Ribeiro, a 17-year-old student at Toms River North High School said the teacher saw the banner and told him to remove it before class.
“He said, 'Anthony take the sign down right now' and I looked up, seeing class hasn't started yet,” the teen told NBC New York. “I was on my phone. I looked up at him and kind of just looked back down like I didn't hear him.”
But the teacher repeated the request and said Ribeiro would have to leave if he refused.
“I waved goodbye, and I was gone,” the teen said.
District officials told the outlet they were addressing the incident and that Ribeiro “was not in violation of any general code of conduct or any policy specifically related to virtual learning.”
The teen’s mother, Tara Jost, told NJ Advance Media the incident shocked her.
“My son takes his academics very seriously, and for this teacher to kick him out of learning that day for something that was in my home…I don’t think he should’ve been kicked out of class for that,” she said.
The family told the outlet that students were given instructions on behavior during virtual classes, including no pajamas and no taking part while in bed – but not about keeping political signs away from cameras.

Ad Exposing LeBron James' China Hypocrisy Reportedly Rejected Over Fear of Upsetting the NBA Star
The ad, created by the National Legal and Policy Center, was to be posted earlier this month near the entrance to the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, according to the New York Post.
Riffing on James’ refusal to call out injustices by the Chinese government, the ad features his picture with the country’s red banner blocking his mouth.
“We cannot accept the ad as it is right now,” a representative for billboard company Outfront Media reportedly told NLPC. “The Chinese flag is Ok, and the silence is violence is ok.”
The problem was with James’ image, which Outfront refused to publish in the attack ad.
With the ad’s planned location being so close to the bubble, it would have certainly been seen by the NBA superstar.
“They thought that we were singling him out and were afraid that the ad would hurt LeBron’s feelings. But we were never going after LeBron James the person. We were going after his brand.”

Puppy set on fire at an Ohio park, suspect still on the loose
The dog, who survived the horrifying ordeal, was found by firefighters at Walnut Hill Park in Columbus just after noon on Sunday, authorities said.
When members of the Columbus Division of Fire first arrived, they noticed the burning remnants of a plastic cage underneath a tree.
The firefighters then spotted the dog running around the park. The pooch had black plastic melted onto her back, authorities said.
The puppy was treated, and subsequently adopted, by staff at the Diley Hill Animal Medical Center and “is doing remarkably well,” according to the Columbus Division of Fire.
Man in Trump gear booted from Southwest flight for removing mask to eat
The passenger, who was also sporting a “Black Voices for Trump” hat, is seen talking to a crew member while holding a bag of mixed nuts and wearing a face mask under his chin.
“Tell us the policy that says he cannot eat with his mask off?” a woman filming the video can be heard asking in the footage shared by SV News. “It’s the hat and the mask, it’s not the eating.”
A second video then shows the man leaving the Tuesday morning Tampa-to-Dallas flight.
The incident, which Southwest said came after the man repeatedly refused to wear a mask, was soon tweeted by Donald Trump Jr., who bashed the airline.
“WTF??? This is disgusting. I’ve been on a thousand flights in the last few months and everyone lowers their masks to eat and drink. I did it on a southwest flight earlier this week,” he wrote.
Trump slams censorship of The Post in first comment on Hunter Biden exposé
“So terrible that Facebook and Twitter took down the story of ‘Smoking Gun’ emails related to Sleepy Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in the @NYPost,” Trump tweeted from Air Force One en route to a campaign rally in Iowa.
“It is only the beginning for them. There is nothing worse than a corrupt politician. REPEAL SECTION 230!!!
Twitter blocked users from sharing The Post’s link to the story, which describes an alleged 2015 email from Burisma energy executive Vadym Pozharskyi thanking Hunter Biden for “giving an opportunity to meet your father.”
Biden, who led the Obama administration Ukraine policy, said last year, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” including his reported $83,000 monthly pay on Burisma’s board.
Twitter said Wednesday it prevented users from tweeting or direct-messaging a link to the article because it violated a ban on distributing hacked material.
Romney rips Trump, Pelosi, Keith Olbermann, says politics now ‘a vile, vituperative, hate-filled morass'
Romney, the most vocal Republican critic of President Trump in Congress, took to Twitter on Tuesday to take aim at the president. He starts out by saying, "I have stayed quiet with the approach of the election", really Senator?
He then goes on his diatribe,
"The President calls the Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate 'a monster;' he repeatedly labels the Speaker of the House 'crazy;' he calls for the Justice Department to put the prior President in jail;” Romney wrote.
And he stressed that the president “attacks the Governor of Michigan on the very day a plot is discovered to kidnap her.”
But Romney also criticized Democrats, spotlighting that they “launch blistering attacks of their own.”
“Pelosi tears up the President's State of the Union speech on national television,” Romney said of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
And the senator slammed some in the media, highlighting that “Keith Olbermann calls the President a 'terrorist'. Media on the left and right amplify all of it.”
But Romney praised Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, saying the Democrats’ “Presidential nominee refuses to stoop as low as others.”
Apparently, the Senator is drinking from the same mind erasing water fountain as Sleepy Joe, because any time Joe is speaking, he is name calling and disrespecting our Commander in Chief.
At any rate, Romney urged that it’s “time to lower the heat. "Leaders must tone it down.""Leaders from the top and leaders of all stripes: parents, bosses, reporters, columnists, professors, union chiefs, everyone. The consequence of the crescendo of anger leads to a very bad place. No sane person can want that.”
‘I’m Not Happy’ – President Trump Doesn’t Rule Out Replacing AG Barr if He Wins Second Term
“No comment” Trump told Newsmax host Greg Kelly. “I’m not happy with all of the evidence I have. I’m not happy. I can tell you that.”
President Trump made these statements to Newsmax after it was reported that Barr’s unmasking probe quietly concluded without charges.
The US Attorney tapped by Attorney General Bill Barr to investigate “unmasking” done by Obama’s criminal officials around the 2016 has concluded the probe without bringing any charges, according to the Washington Post.
Georgia Democrat Vernon Jones rips Kamala Harris as 'intellectually dishonest' and 'dangerous'
Jones, who has endorsed President Trump's reelection, told "Making Money with Charles Payne" that there "would be chaos if Joe Biden was to win" the White House next month.
"First of all, Joe would not be the president," Jones told host Charles Payne. "It would be who? Kamala Harris. She will do any and everything, say any and everything for power. She is intellectually dishonest. She is flip-flopping. She has gone back and forth.
"A vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris to be president, not Joe Biden," Jones emphasized. "She is dangerous."
Jones who is black himself, claimed that Harris was responsible for putting more than 130,000 "Black and brown" Americans behind bars during her tenure as San Francisco district attorney and California state attorney general.
He went on to call out Senate Judiciary Committee member Pat Leahy, D-Vt., who had questioned Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett about a picture of "long lines" at a voting precinct in DeKalb County, Ga. -- which Jones represents.
"Look at that line. I suspect neither you nor I have ever had to wait in line like that to vote," Leahy told Barrett. "People talked about, well, are we giving racial entitlement? This is not entitlement for any Americans. This is turning our back on democracy."
Jones accused Leahy of incorrectly trying to ascribe racism to incidences that have nothing to do with discrimination on the basis of skin color.
"It's the local leadership. We have a majority-Black council and city commissioner," he said. "We have a Black [county] executive and a Black director [of] elections ... If the lines are long, it is poor planning. They’re not adding precincts [or] equipment or employees. It is not about voter suppression."
Jones added that the true perpetrators of voter suppression are left-wing groups such as Antifa.
"The real voter suppression [is] how Antifa and Black Lives Matter are attacking Blacks and others for their independent thoughts and freedom of speech," he said. "That is voter suppression."
NBC News' decision to schedule Trump town hall during ABC's Biden event 'stunning and shameful,' critics say
“NBC is doing a real disservice to American voters who won’t get to hear from both candidates," an ABC News insider told Fox News. "They should be ashamed of failing in their public service duty three weeks before a presidential election to chase ratings instead."
The New Yorker's Sue Halpern called the decision "stunning and shameful," while veteran political analyst Jeff Greenfield called it "indefensible."
The issue was a hot topic on Twitter, where some people even speculated that NBC is trying to help Trump by scheduling the events for the same time while others called to boycott the network. Some of the backlash even came from within the Peacock Network, according to reporter Yasher Ali.
"I've heard from over a dozen NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC sources (talent and staff) and the frustration with and anger toward their employer for scheduling a town hall against Biden is palpable," Ali tweeted.
NBC News determined the format, date, duration and time slot, Fox News has learned from an NBC insider who maintained the Trump campaign did not dictate any logistics of the event.
NBC also determined the format, audience, and chose “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie as moderator.
Medusa sculpture to be unveiled across from Manhattan court to honor #MeToo
“Medusa With The Head of Perseus” will be installed Monday and unveiled the following day in a park across from Manhattan Supreme Court, according to the group behind the statue.
“The place chosen is not accidental, since there they judge cases for crimes related to violence against women,” Sculptor Luciano Garbati wrote on Instagram.
The 1,000-pound bronze sculpture is a reimagined version of Medusa, a figure of ancient Greek mythology who was raped by one of the most powerful gods, Poseidon.
But instead of Poseidon being punished, Medusa was blamed and transformed into a monstrous beast with snakes for hair, as well as a gaze that could turn men into stone.
She was exiled and later hunted down by Perseus, who then displayed her head on his shield as a trophy.
The new effigy, however, gives Medusa a different ending, depicting her as empowered as she holds Perseus’ severed head in defiance.
IRS files lien against Marilyn Mosby & Nick Mosby for unpaid taxes
The lien is an attempt to collect unpaid taxes from 2014-2016.
Delegate Nick Mosby said, "I have been in ongoing conversations with the IRS for five years about the tax consequences of an early withdrawal from my retirement savings plan, which I did to support unplanned expenses after a series of family tragedies. I expect to have the issue resolved in the coming days."
Marilyn Mosby who was sworn into office in January of 2015, and is Baltimore's top prosecutor, has not made a statement.
According to the Maryland State Constitution, it is possible to remove the Baltimore City State's Attorney from office.
Fox45 News learned that this past summer Marilyn Mosby, asked an Inspector General for an investigation into her out-of-town travel.
In the past two years she has traveled to Germany, Portugal, Africa, and Scotland.
FOX45 reports, it has filed several public information requests for pertinent documents, and did not receive the records.
The State's Attorney's Office asked for thousands of dollars in exchange for certain public records, including $6,480 for specific email records and $156,000 for copies of Mosby's work calendar.

President Trump supporters march through NYC with 'world's biggest Trump flag'
The demonstration made its way through the Manhattan hotspots at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday carrying the 75-foot-by-50-foot flag, which was emblazoned with the words: “Trump: Law and Order,” according to the Daily Mail.
As they marched, people from the group chanted “Four more years,” “Whose streets? Our streets” and the Pledge of Allegiance, according to the report.
BRILLIANT! Senator Josh Hawley Went There — Asked Amy Coney Barrett About Hunter and Joe Biden’s Burisma Scandal
Senator Hawley: This morning Senator Leahy asked you about the Foreign Emolument Clause. There allegations about foreign influence and since he asked you about it. He asked you if it was best described as an anti-corruption clause. You might remember that in terms of foreign influence and foreign interference. And he referenced the president and various allegations about foreign influence. Since he asked you about it and he asked about foreign influence in government I think it’s only fair to ask hypothetically, let’s a vice president of the United States who hypothetically had an alleged son who hypothetically worked for a foreign oligarch who then sold access to his father the vice president and his father then intervened in a case to make sure the oligarch wasn’t prosecuted. So the second question I would ask you is hypothetically would that constitute the kind of foreign interference the Constitution is concerned about?
Judge Barrett: I can’t answer hypotheticals.
Senator Hawley: Well I thought you might say that. And I’m glad you won’t because who knows that case may come before you.
Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad
The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.
The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.

Former candidate for Idaho governor charged with killing Colorado girl in 1984
Steven Dana Pankey, 69, of Meridian, was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and related counts in the death of Jonelle Matthews, his former neighbor in Greeley, who vanished from her home on December 20, 1984, Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke announced Tuesday.
Court documents obtained by CNN show Pankey had lived roughly two miles away from Jonelle’s home when she disappeared and about 10 miles away from where her body was found in July 2019 in a desolate field southeast of Greeley.
The girl’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, police said, and she was the victim of a homicide.
Rourke told CNN there’s “no definitive” DNA link between the girl’s remains and Pankey, who “watched school children walk home” from where Jonelle went to middle school and admitted owning a gun in 1984, according to the indictment.
Pankey also “intentionally inserted himself” in the decades-long search for the girl, claiming to have knowledge of the crime that became “inconsistent and incriminating” over time, court documents show.

Scott Balfour, a special agent with the USPS OGI, told the outlet in a Tuesday statement that the bundles contained a variety of mail, including first-class and business deliveries.
“We expect to perform a piece count of the mail today, and make arrangements to have the mail delivered to customers as soon as feasible,” Balfour said.

Ex-White House doctor questions Biden's 'mental capacity' to be president
Jackson, who is running as the GOP’s candidate for a House seat in Texas’ 13th congressional district, made the remarks during a conference call organized by the Trump campaign. The 53-year-old, who served as doctor to former President Barack Obama as well as President Trump, acknowledged that he never personally treated Biden and said his remarks were those of a “concerned citizen” rather than a physician or candidate for office.
“As a citizen of this country, I watch Joe Biden on the campaign trail and I am concerned that he does not have the mental capacity, the cognitive ability to serve as our commander in chief and head of state,” Jackson said during the call.
Trump has repeatedly questioned Biden’s mental acuity ahead of the 2020 election, referring to his opponent as “Sleepy Joe” at rallies. On Tuesday, the president tweeted that Biden had a “particularly bad day” and alleged the former vice president “forgot what State he was in.”
A Win for NRA
In April of last year, the city passed a resolution that included all of the normal rhetorical bloviations about guns, and read, in part “The City of Los Angeles has enacted ordinances and adopted positions that promote gunsafety and sensible gun ownership. The City’s residents deserve to know if the City’s public funds are spent on contractors that have contractual or sponsorship ties with the NRA. Public funds provided to such contractors undermines the City’s efforts to legislate and promote gun safety…. this ordinance requires those seeking to do business with the City to fully and accurately disclose any and all contracts with or sponsorship of the NRA.”
The NRA filed suit against the ordinance shortly after it was implemented in April 2019. Amy Hunter, a spokeswoman for the NRA, told the Washington Free Beacon the rulings prove the city unfairly targeted the group because of its advocacy.
“Violations of any constitutional rights by government officials should carry consequences,” she said. “The courts have rightfully imposed those consequences upon Los Angeles. The NRA will continue our fight and, as always, work to hold politicians accountable.”
Denver Local News Bodyguard Who Killed Trump Supporter Bragged About Harassing and Confronting Conservatives in the Past
Matthew Dolloff has been arrested for the shooting of veteran Lee Keltner as leftist militants held a counter “protest” to a pro-Trump rally in Denver on Saturday.
Dolloff has far left posts on his social media going back nearly a decade, and in 2016 he bragged about calling a Trump supporting stranger a racist to their face.
“Ran into a Trump supporter with a Trump Button on their shirt. Told them i like their im a racist button. They had nothing to say,” Dolloff wrote, with the hashtag #F-ckTrump.
The Denver Police claimed in a statement on Saturday evening that the shooter was not aligned with Antifa, but many are now questioning if that claim is true.
Joe Biden Calls a Lid and Hides in His Basement After Explosive Revelations From Hunter Biden’s Recovered Hard Drive
Less than three weeks until the election and Joe Biden has called a lid in order to avoid any questions about the new smoking gun emails released!
At7 PM, Biden was delivering pre-taped remarks to American Muslims at the Muslims Making Change: National Honors event.”
The Presidential Candidate has been hiding all day in his Delaware basement so he doesn’t have to answer why he sold out his public office to enrich his family.
Biden previously claimed, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
Homeless Man Donates $1 To Oregon Historical Society After Antifa Rioters Destroy Museum
"Hello, I’m homeless, so I don’t have much to give you. Just some of my bottle collecting money. But, I saw your windows got broken and I wanted to help. You once gave me a free tour before the pandemic. So, this is a thank you."
Oscar
Tymchuk spoke about the generous gift and said that though OHS was receiving several donations in the aftermath of the damage, Oscar’s gesture was priceless.
Biden’s Son-In-Law Advising Campaign On Pandemic While Investing In Companies That Will Benefit From It
Try to imagine the reaction from Democrats and the media, if Trump’s son in law was poised to benefit financially from the pandemic.
It would be front page news.
Krein’s venture capital business has been running a special initiative to invest in health care startups that offer solutions to the pandemic.
In March, as Covid-19 began spreading in the United States, the investment firm, StartUp Health, unveiled a new coronavirus initiative soliciting pitches from entrepreneurs with products that addressed the outbreak.
The next month, reports in Bloomberg and the New York Times listed Krein among those participating in daily calls to brief Biden on health policy during the pandemic, while StartUp Health announced its intention to invest $1 million across 10 startups with coronavirus applications within 30 days.
“StartUp Health is putting the full support of its platform and network behind building a post-Covid world that uses technology and entrepreneurial ingenuity to improve health outcomes,” the firm said at the time.
Krein simultaneously advising the campaign and venturing into Covid investing could pose conflict-of-interest concerns for a Biden administration or simply create the awkward appearance of Krein profiting off his father-in-law’s policies.
Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii question to Judge Barrett, proves Democrats have no shame
The Supreme Court Justice nominee, mother of 7, carries herself with dignity and style which is unmatched, inconceivable, and unachievable by any Democrat, so the question asked my Senator Hirono shouldn't come as a surprise to us, and yet we still find ourselves asking, Is anything beneath them?
“I ask each nominee … since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” Hirono asked.
“No, Sen. Hirono,” Barrett answered.
Hirono added, “Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of comment?”
Barrrett again answered, “No, senator.”
Perhaps someone should ask Hirono that question.
School District Tries To Get Away with Silencing Pro-Trump Student, Federal Judge Steps In
That’s the excuse a school district gave for painting over a portrait of President Donald Trump painted on a student’s parking spot. Thankfully, a federal judge stepped in to uphold the student’s right to free speech.
As part of what sounds like a very cool tradition, seniors at a Louisiana high school in Washington Parish can pay $25 to paint their assigned parking spaces. The students must get approval for their paintings, but the school’s policy appears to ban only lewd images and language and using other students’ names, as reported by The New Orleans Advocate.
This year, however, Washington schools Superintendent Frances Varnado also tried to exclude a painting of President Trump.
Ned Thomas, a senior at Pine Junior-Senior High School, commissioned for his parking spot a portrait of President Trump wearing a stars-and-stripes bandana and sunglasses.
I wonder if the school board would have considered a portrait of Obama “too political” during his presidency.
Varnado claimed she was trying to avoid controversy, but her actions had the opposite effect. In addition to angry emails, Thomas’ parents filed a federal lawsuit seeking an injunction.
U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon — who happened to be appointed by President Bill Clinton — ruled in favor of Thomas and free speech.
“The painting of President Trump cannot reasonably be described as obscene or plainly offensive on its face, nor can it be construed as school-sponsored speech,” Fallon wrote.
The painting, he continued, “depicts the sitting President of the United States. This is not a case involving a symbol such as a Confederate flag, which has an established meaning as a ‘symbol of racism and intolerance, regardless of whatever other meanings may be associated with it.”
Bill Barr’s ‘Unmasking’ Probe Into Obama Officials Concludes without Charges
US Attorney John Bash reportedly found no evidence of wrongdoing and concluded the probe without charges and without a public report.
The probe into unmasking was launched in May of this year after then-acting DNI Richard Grenell declassified the list of Obama officials involved in the unmasking of General Mike Flynn in his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
Names included former CIA Director John Brennan, Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power and former DNI chief James Clapper.
Joe Biden was also on the list!
US Attorney John Bash was also investigating whether Obama officials leaked information to reporters, but found no wrongdoing.
California Man Finds Mail-In Ballots in Santa Monica Trash Cans
The man called local authorities who are looking into the scandal.
A California man said he found dozens of mail-in ballots in two trash cans.
“I opened the trash can, and I see a lot of envelopes and ballots, especially ballot envelopes in the trash can, and I knew right away that was not normal,” said Osvaldo Jimenez, who found the mail last Thursday.
The trash cans are located in Santa Monica and contained several dozen ballots, as well as other mail such as bank statements and bills. All of the mail was addressed to homes in the area.
“I thought it was somebody playing a prank,” he said. “Nobody’s going to throw ballot envelopes in the trash can.”
Jimenez alerted authorities to his discovery.
“If it was my ballot in there I would want somebody to recover it,” Jimenez said. “Every vote counts, whichever party it is.”
Separately, authorities in San Bernardino County also reported two batches of discarded mail found on city blocks last week.
In Los Angeles, another person found discarded ballots near an ATM.
Man Who Fired First Shots Behind Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha Has Been Charged
The man who fired the first shots from behind Kyle Rittenhouse during the fatal incident in Kenosha has been charged.
Joshua Ziminski, 35, has been charged with disorderly conduct and use of a dangerous weapon for firing his weapon during the incident on August 25.According to the charging document, obtained by The Gateway Pundit, while investigating the shooting by Rittenhouse, Kenosha detectives obtained videos in which Ziminski “was holding a black handgun, which he was holding in his left hand, pointing downward. Detective Howard reports that in reviewing multiple other videos, he was able to see the defendant and Kelly Ziminski, in and around multiple other people on the streets, and the defendant was seen holding the handgun down at his side in said videos.”
New Jersey mayor's Facebook post blasting Trump and his supporters prompts outcry
The post, allegedly from Flemington Mayor Betsy Driver, was shared Saturday on the Hunterdon GOP’s website.
“This is day one of the new SCOTUS terms – the religious zealots want to enact the Christian version of Sharia law,” the post reads. “If you voted for the orange monster with COVID, go f--- yourself. If you plan on voting for him again, unfriend me and go f--- yourself again.”
Hunterdon GOP Chair Gabe Plumer, who shared the post online, derided it as “shameful” and “insulting,” and called on Driver to resign.
“Your statement is antithetical to the principles of representative democracy,” Plumer wrote in a statement. “It is further proof that you do not represent the people of Flemington, the character of Hunterdon County, and the values of at least part of the Democrat party.”
MSNBC Hosts Praise Judge Amy Coney Barrett for Her Answer on George Floyd Question
And according to MSNBC hosts Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell, Barrett’s response was “accessible and touching.”
“It wasn’t a judge who responded, it was an American citizen, a mom, you know … and I kinda wish more senators would ask more questions like that so you find out the fuller picture of who these folks are,” Todd said.
Mitchell added: “And that made her so relatable; this is a white mom with black children explaining the talk that black parents have had to communicate to their kids for generations, for centuries — if you will — and this is an interracial family, a multiracial family — it’s something more and more present in America.”
Such a response from the establishment media is a complete reversal to their slew of attacks on Barrett and her family since her nomination by President Donald Trump — attacking her faith, her affiliation with the late Justice Antonin Scalia and her views on abortion.
So what did Barrett say?
Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois asked Barrett if she had seen the footage of George Floyd’s arrest.
“I have,” Barrett responded.
“What impact did it have on you?” Durbin asked.
“Senator, as you might imagine given that I have two black children, that was very, very personal for my family,” Barrett said. “Jesse was with the boys on a camping trip out in South Dakota, so I was there and my 17-year-old daughter Vivian, who was adopted from Haiti, all of this was erupting, it was very difficult for her.
“We wept together in my room. And then it was also difficult for my daughter Julia who’s 10, I had to try to explain some of this to them.
“I mean, my children to this point in their lives have had the benefit of growing up in a cocoon where they have not yet experienced hatred or violence, and for Vivian to understand there would be a risk to her brother or the son she might have one day, of that kind of brutality, has been an ongoing conversation. It’s a difficult one for us like it is for Americans all over the country.”
VA Governor Northam allegedly a target of militia group as well
Special FBI agent Richard Trask disclosed this detail during a preliminary examination in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids, where five suspects have bond hearings scheduled for later Tuesday to determine if they should be released or remain jailed pending the outcomes of their cases.
Prior to the bond hearings, Trask outlined the FBI's case against the men, alleging they are part of a larger group of self-titled militia members from multiple states who met online earlier this year and discussed attacking government officials.
Specifically, Trask testified, the members discussed "taking a sitting governor" and specifically had issues with the governors of Michigan and Virginia based on their lockdown orders.
"The understanding at the time was to potentially kidnap a sitting governor and remove them from office," Trask testified, later adding that the plan ultimately focused on Whitmer. "The plan was ultimately to take her and place her on trial at a different location."
NAACP-Files a lawsuit against VA Board of Elections asking registration deadline to be extended
The Virginia Department of Elections said in a statement on Twitter that a “fiber cut” affected connectivity for multiple agencies, including the department’s citizen portal and registrar’s offices. The cable was inadvertently cut during a Chesterfield County roadside utilities project, according to the state’s information technology agency.
Six hours later, the Department of Elections issued a statement saying the portal was back online. But the fallout led to concerns that voters were being disenfranchised at a crucial moment.
Voting advocates said the accident couldn’t have come at a worse time and lambasted state officials for the technological failure. The day of the deadline is when many Virginians decide to register, particularly after being reminded on social media and in the news.
The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law filed a lawsuit Tuesday night saying voter registration must be extended for 48 hours and that the state should make “a significant effort” to tell the public about the change. Named as defendants in the lawsuit are the Virginia Department of Elections; the Virginia State Board of Elections; elections board chairman Robert H. Brink and vice chairman John O’Bannon; Christopher Piper, commissioner of the Department of Elections; and Jamilah D. Lecruise, secretary of the board of elections.
Case dismissed against Portsmouth, VA Vice Mayor Lisa Lucas-Burke who was served with misdemeanor charges
Yesterday a Judge dismissed those charges. Lucas-Burke's lawyer presented the judge with part of a statute that disallows the investigation of elected officials, regardless of a complaint, stating those charges have to come from the Governor.
Lucas-Burke's mother, Sen. Louise Lucas (D-Portsmouth), was one of 14 people charged related to the destruction of the city's Confederate monument in June.
In retaliation, the Vice Mayor called for the Chief of Police to be removed.
Portsmouth resident Thomas Dubois then filed misdemeanor charges with the magistrate, alleging Lucas violated the city charter by calling for Police Chief Angela Greene to be terminated.
Misdemeanors are punishable by a fine, but not jail time. If Lucas-Burke had been convicted, she would have had to give up her city council seat. She is currently running for re-election.
In August, a local news station asked Lucas-Burke what power the city council had to fire the chief if the city manager didn't do it. "We could fire [the city manager]," Lucas-Burke responded, but she noted Dr. Lydia Pettis Patton is scheduled to retire at the end of the year. “Day one of the new city manager - if we don’t fire Angela Greene by then, that’s the first order of business that I want the city manager to take care of."
This is the perfect example of a witch hunt!

Biden speaks to 30 cars of supporters at Ohio ‘drive-in rally’
After the 77-year-old remembered what state he was in, and what office he was seeking, he gave remarks on the economy in front of United Auto Workers in a half-empty Toledo parking lot as Pence spoke to hundreds of supporters in the capitol of Columbus on Columbus Day.
Biden’s 25-minute speech was at times also derailed by supporters of President Trump, who stood on a nearby street corner and loudly chanted “four more years” as the Democratic presidential hopeful spoke.
Biden delivered familiar remarks on how he believed the 2020 presidential race was “between Scranton and Park Avenue” or “Toledo and Park Avenue” — a dig at President Trump’s history as a Manhattan real estate tycoon.

Ex-pizza chain employee arrested for putting razor blades in dough
The food-tampering incident came to light after a customer purchased pizza dough at Hannaford Supermarket in Saco and discovered the sharp implements inside the package Oct. 6, according to the Saco Police Department.
Surveillance footage showed a man — later identified as Nicholas R. Mitchell — tampering with the packaging of Portland Pie Pizza products in the store.
Police said 38-year-old Mitchell was a former employee of the It’ll Be Pizza company, which manufactures the dough.
Authorities called on the public Sunday for help tracking down Mitchell, who they said left the store in a 2005 silver or gray Toyota Camry.
Within two hours, authorities tracked him to Dover, New Hampshire, around 50 miles away, police said.

Trump knocks Sen. Blumenthal’s credibility after speaking out against Barrett
“So Crazy to watch Senator Blumenthal of Connecticut lecture all on morals & ethics when for 25 years he said he was a Great War Hero in Vietnam, and he was never even there,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “He lied & cheated right up until the day he got caught. Thank you to those in military who turned him in!”
In his opening statement, Blumenthal told Barrett he would oppose her nomination because, if confirmed, she will rule as a justice to strike down the Affordable Care Act.
Trump ridicules Biden for saying he’s running ‘for the Senate,’ forgetting Romney’s name
“‘I’m running as a proud Democrat, for the Senate’. Sleepy Joe Biden today,” Trump tweeted. “It’s only going to get worse. It is not sustainable for our County – China will own us!!!!”
In another tweet, Trump wrote, “Biden losing big in Florida. Only Fake Polls show otherwise! Bad for Healthcare. Thinks he’s running for the Senate. Forgot Mitt Romney’s name, and where he was!”
Trump often accuses Biden, 77, of going senile and fired off the tweets as he traveled to Sanford, Fla., for his first campaign trip after recovering from COVID-19.
At the rally, Trump told a roaring crowd, “Sleepy Joe Biden, not a nice guy, by the way… He had a very bad day today.
“If I ever had a day like he had today, they’d say ‘It’s over. It’s over.’ … He forgot Mitt Romney’s name. He didn’t know what state he was in. And he said today he’s a proud Democrat running for the US Senate.”
Biden “has got a lot of bad days coming,” Trump said.
“The one thing I know for sure, President Xi of China… President Putin of Russia… Kim Jong Un…. they are 100 percent sharp. We have someone running who is not 100 percent, he’s not 80 percent, he’s not 60 percent.”
Biden made the mistakes during a Columbus Day campaign trip to Toledo, Ohio. He previously claimed he was running for Senate during a stop in South Carolina in February.
