JUST IN: A&E Reverses Course, Will Resume Duck Dynasty With Phil Robertson

In the wake of the controversial and unpopular news to suspend Phil Robertson, patriarch of the Duck Dynasty family, in the wake of his religious remarks to GQ Magazine, the A&E television network has announced that Duck Dynasty will resume filming and airing the popular TV show in 2014.
A&E's statement reads:
As a global media content company, A+E Networks’ core values are centered around creativity, inclusion and mutual respect. We believe it is a privilege for our brands to be invited into people’s home and we operate with a strong sense of integrity and deep commitment to these principals.
That is why we reacted so quickly and strongly to a recent interview with Phil Robertson. While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the “coarse language” he used and the mis-interpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also made it clear he would “never incite or encourage hate.” We at A+E Networks expressed our disappointment with his statements in the article, and reiterate that they are not views we hold.
But Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family… a family that America has come to love. As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness. These are three values that we at A+E Networks also feel strongly about.

Foreclosure Task Force Eyed In Salisbury

SALISBURY — Alarming foreclosure statistics have prompted the city of Salisbury to begin the process of developing a foreclosure task force.

Acting City Administrator Tom Stevenson briefed the City Council last week on the upward foreclosure trends that have been seen this year.

“According to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Office of Policy, Planning and Research, property foreclosure events for Wicomico County for 2013 have increased 463 percent, notices of mortgage loan default issued in Wicomico County for 2013 increased 382 percent, notices of foreclosure sales issued in Wicomico County for 2013 has increased 6,290 percent and that’s not a typo,” said Stevenson.

Salisbury City Council Breaks World Record For Most Members Driving On Suspension At One Time?

Between Council President Jake Day, (who claims his suspension is a clerical error) and Councilwoman Shanie Shields, I do believe Salisbury, Maryland has now set a new world record on how many Council Members are driving without a valid license.

I think Mrs. Mitchell might want to have a talk with her own co workers about why all politicians in Annapolis have such bad things to say about Salisbury, Maryland.

"He who smelt it, dealt it".

Jesse Jackson Attacks Duck Dynasty Star With Ridiculous Comparison

Phil Robertson, the controversial star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, has caused quite the splash for comments he made in a recent GQ article regarding homosexuality. In a Tuesday press release, Rev. Jesse Jackson, the social justice advocate known for constantly blowing things out of proportion, claimed that Robertson’s comments were more offensive than those made by Rosa Parks’ bus driver.

“At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law,” Jackson said. “Robertson’s statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was ‘white privilege.’”

Rev. Jackson seems to be forgetting about that little thing called the First Amendment.

Shipping Problems Prevent Some Gifts From Making It Under The Tree In Time

UPS may not be getting any Christmas cards from some customers. For the first time, the world’s largest package delivery service says they were swamped by overwhelming demand.

FedEx also had some delays getting gifts under the tree in time.

Meghan McCorkell has more from frustrated customers.

Neither FedEx nor UPS will say how many packages are delayed, but the problem has been reported across the country.

In For A Paint Job, Out A Total Wreck

When Debbie and John Hooper took their Camaro ZL1 to a Georgetown car dealer, they were expecting a minor paint job.

What they got is a nightmare.

“Instead of a newly painted car, we ended up looking at it in a lot of pieces,” Debbie Hooper said.

Hooper said she understood her car was ready for pick-up Dec. 13, but she and her husband were busy and planned to get their car after the weekend.

On Dec. 16, she said, the dealership called to tell them an employee had taken the Camaro out for spin Dec. 15 and crashed it on Zoar Road near Georgetown

Why All Americans Should Support Hobby Lobby's Case Against Obamacare

The plight of Hobby Lobby, the arts-and-crafts business whose owners are being forced to compromise their faith, instantly draws the sympathy of religious conservatives. But why should anyone else care?

Recall first that the Department of Health and Human Services issued under the Affordable Care Act a “preventive services” mandate requiring employers to provide, through their insurers, employee coverage for FDA-approved contraceptive drugs and devices.

The Hobby Lobby chain of more than 500 stores is owned by the Green family of Oklahoma City, who run their business in accord with their Evangelical Christian beliefs. Founder David Green says the family cannot in conscience subsidize certain mandated drugs and devices that can cause an abortion early in pregnancy.

Question Of The Day 12-25-13

What is your fondest memory/memories of Christmas?

A Viewer Writes...

Does this private, for profit ambulance need to take up 3 parking spaces? This is Kmart on a busy Christmas Eve.

Three Days After Christmas, 1.3 Million Americans Will Lose Their Unemployment Benefits

And, another two million will stop receiving assistance if Congress doesn't extend long-term benefits by June. Our nation is barely pulling out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, and we're abandoning those who are out of work because of this economy. The unemployment rate is officially sever percent, but there are still at least three unemployed workers applying for every open job. People on long-term unemployment aren't sitting around collecting checks – they're fighting like hell to be given a chance to get back to work, but the competition they face is intense. Rather than our government stepping up to be the employer of last resort, Republicans in Congress make the absurd argument that cutting off this economic lifeline will somehow help out-of-work Americans suddenly find that nonexistent job. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has announced that the Senate will vote in early January on a temporary extension of unemployment benefits, and that it's “just the first step” toward addressing income inequality in our nation. But, that date means that – even in the best case scenario – more than a million Americans will see a delay in unemployment benefits, which could be much longer if Republicans hold up or block the upcoming vote. It is utterly un-American to abandon those who need our help. Our nation learned from history, and recognized the importance of keeping people from falling through the cracks, yet here we are, repeating those mistakes once again. We shouldn't be cutting unemployment benefits, we should be investing and creating jobs, which are the only real ways to help Americans get back to work.

Judge Rules: Obama Social Security Card Fraud May Finally Get Answers

It took years for Watergate to unravel fully. The controversy over Barack Hussein Obama and his past, along with fraudulent documents continues to make headlines. Yet, the items needed to actually verify who Obama is continue to be kept from the public eye. Well, that all may be about to change. Attorney Orly Taitz may have just found a chink in the federal government’s armor in protecting Barack Obama from scrutiny, following a judge’s ruling over her Freedom of Information Act request from the Social Security Administration.

Taitz has claimed that Obama uses the Social Security number of Harry Bounel and has submitted several Freedom of Information Act requests for the information from the Social Security Administration. Each time, she has been met with stonewalling by the Social Security Administration.

However, Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander has ruled to give Taitz “an opportunity to file a second amended complaint and add allegations of SSA not doing a proper search and withholding records.”

‘DUCK DYNASTY’ STAR PHIL ROBERTSON SPEAKS OUT ABOUT ‘COMMON SENSE’ AND SIN AFTER OUTRAGE OVER HIS HOMOSEXUALITY COMMENTS

In Phil Robertson’s first official comments since his controversial claims about homosexuality led to an indefinite suspension from A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” the reality show patriarch defended himself Sunday during a Bible study at his home church.

Robertson allowed The Daily Mail to accompany him to White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, La., where he stood by the claims that inevitably landed him in hot water.

“I love all men and women. I am a lover of humanity, not a hater,” Robertson said while leading the study.

A Bleak White House Christmas Card This Year

The Obama family this year sent out what must be the most depressing White House Christmas card of all time. Not only is there no mention of God or Jesus, or anything vaguely religious, the aesthetics of the thing are downright depressing. Start with the color spectrum, featuring cold blue, instead of the customary warm reds associated with this most joyous holiday. Then there is the visual perspective chosen, looking down on the White House from above:

Okay, President Obama has a lot to be unhappy about. His dreams of an omnipotent and omni-competent federal government guiding a grateful citizenry are crumbling before his eyes. But hey, at least he got out of town and has warm Hawaiian beaches to laze about on.

Michelle Obama: 'Make It A Christmas Treat' To Talk About Health Insurance

(CNSNews.com) - Reaching out to "moms" on Wednesday, President and Mrs. Obama urged them to encourage others to enroll in Obamacare.

"And we urge people to reach out. And if they signed up their child, then signed up -- sign up their friends," Mrs. Obama said. "You know, if you've got grandkids, make it a Christmas treat around the table to talk about a little health care. You know, ring in the new year with a -- new coverage." (Chuckles.)

Mrs. Obama said when she thinks of Obamacare, "the words that come to mind for me are peace of mind." She said it's not about politics -- it's about a "safety net" to prevent medical bills from bankrupting patients.

An Incredible Journey

Hopefully you hadn't noticed I have been away the past few days. If you have, I'm sorry but a more important situation was at hand.

The image above is my Grandmother who passed away this past week at 96 years young.

No cancer. No lung disease. In fact, no burden on her Family whatsoever for 96 years. In her younger years she loved her Scotch, (wee nip)  and cigarettes until about 20+ years ago when she quit it all. She cooked just about everything in a cast iron frying pan pretty damn near as old as she was and of course butter on just about everything.

For most of her life she lived in a 4th floor apartment in the Bronx, no elevator and each flight was easily 12 feet up from one floor to the next, not 8 feet like we deal with in our homes.

No assisted living. No nurses and one thing I can truly tell you, NO COMPLAINTS. My Grandmother died of natural causes of old age.

There's one personal story about my Grandmother I'd like to share with all of you in which I think you'll get a kick out of.

Ten years ago my Grandmother was visiting my Aunt in Upstate New York. She told my Aunt when she got there that she just wasn't feeling right. Being concerned knowing my Grandmother never complained about anything she decided to take my Grandmother to the Hospital. Mind you, I truly cannot EVER tell you one time I remember my Grandmother going to a Doctor.

Nevertheless, they got to the Hospital and very quickly the Doctor told my Aunt and Grandmother that she was having a massive heart attack. My Aunt started crying and my Grandmother said, it's OK Betty, I've lived a wonderful life. My Aunt told her Mother she wasn't ready for her to leave us. At this point my Grandmother was 86 years old and my Aunt asked the Doctor if there was anything he could do. He said he could do a quadruple bypass but at her age the odds of surviving were less than 5%.

Fulfilling my Aunt's wishes my Grandmother agreed to let the Doctor try, since the odds were so low and she was ready to go anyway. They lost my Grandmother several times on the table but were able to revive her each time and she survived the surgery.

When my Grandmother came to after the surgery and in recovery the Doctor came in and said, Bea, I have some good news for you. She weakly replied, what's that. He said, the surgery was a great success and I've added another 10 to 12 years to your life. She laid there quietly for a few seconds and with that LOOK she stared the Doctor down and said, "YOU SON OF A BITCH".

God Bless you Grandma.

Albert Einstein: “A Foolish Faith In Authority Is The Worst Enemy Of The Truth”

Don’t Be Foolish

Albert Einstein said:

A foolish faith in authority is the worst enemy of the truth.

Indeed, scientists have shown that people will go to absurd lengths - and engage in mental gymnastics – in order to cling to their belief in what those in authority have said.

Part of the reason so many are so vulnerable to naive belief in authority is that we evolved in small tribes … and we assume that the super-elites are just like us.

In reality, there are millions of psychopaths in the world … and they are largely running D.C. and on Wall Street.

These people have no hesitation in lying to promote their goals.
