anon 12:12: kids should be neglected by the spirit of the season just because their parents are jackasses. this is probably one of the few nice things these kids experience all year. get a grip.
exactly1 I for one am done giving to these lazy ignorant welfare cases! I am tired of working my butt off to provide what little I am able to for my family, after being taxed and raped by the government to give to those who choose to sit on their asses! then having every charity tell me how rough these welfare queens and their offspring have it! I'm done! never again!
Dear Lord, why don't you people pull the covers over your head and go back to bed until Christmas is over. Christmas is a time for sharing love and blessings with all. You all sound like Grinches. And, Joe, why on Christmas Eve day are you allowing such comments?
anonymous 3:56, first of all I just got in and on line. Secondly, what's so wrong with the comments. It is how SOME people feel. Mind you, I just went through about 25 comments waiting to go up and I rejected about 12 of them, most from this Post. So if you think these are bad, you should see the ones I deleted.
Why delete the comments? Just put them up and scramble part of the swear words, a blog is not supposed to sensor communication, it is to stimulate it. You should change with the new year, publish all comments, no matter who it might make upset, freedom of speech and freedom of censorship! What do you say folks? Should Joe publish it all or not?
All the gifts given where donations nothing came from tax payer funds. If you dont like it simply dont donate. The poor will always be upon us at least that's what the Bible says.
4:58pm Joe, Thanks for standing your ground. It is to tempting for some to make defaming comments about a subject or a person when their name isn't attached to it. And, in the past, I have seen very ugly comments(no name attached) which were not even true. People do "love to stir the pot."
I personally do not feel that there is any benefit to just giving people things carte blanche. I believe all people should "give before receiving" and that includes the low income. This is especially true, if someone is chronically unemployed and rely on a lot of types of handouts. These people esp could be volunteering and the hours they volunteer, dependent on what they get from charity. Just handing over things with no strings attached, promotes an entitlement, lazy attitude which isn't productive to a civil society.
I am not all knowing enough to decide who is worthy and who is not worthy when it comes to this topic....but I can tell you that as a child my parents were not well. My father was an alcoholic and my mother had mental health issues and any kindness that I received from strangers was a blessing. I didn't know all the adult issues that were in my life..all I knew is that somehow, someway, I received a present and that was good. Stay humble people.

anonymous 4:54, Put your name on it and I will publish it and always have.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if your going to defame, attack, curse and or flat out simply stir the pot, grow up and create your own Blog and see if you can compete.
My rules are my rules and if you don't like them, (with all due respect) don't comment or come back.
That is, if you aren't the other Blogger to start with.
