Woman found guilty after mailing white powder to Susan Collins following Kavanaugh vote

A jury in Maine found a woman guilty of sending threatening letters to Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins after she voted to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Suzanne Muscara, 37, was found guilty of sending a threatening letter to Collins’s home that was filled with white powder and a note that said, “AnthRAX!!! HA HA HA!!!”

Muscara’s letter was intercepted by FBI agents who had been screening Collins’s mail after a letter sent the week prior had also contained a threatening substance.

Muscara claimed she didn’t think anyone would read the letter and thought it was a harmless joke.

Republicans: Schiff cherry-picking transcript releases to damage Trump

The long-anticipated release of impeachment deposition transcripts did not assuage frustrated House Republicans, who complained that Democrats are issuing the documents out of order and cherry-picking those from witnesses critical of the president.

“It would seem to me to make sense to do them in the order that the depositions and the testimony was given to us,” Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio told reporters.

Republicans for weeks demanded that transcripts from the closed-door hearings be publicized, insisting the additional information would paint a more positive account of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine than House Democrats' selective leaking of deposition testimony had.

But with the first transcripts now available, Republicans are downplaying the impact of the new information.

Pollsters: Trump expanding base with 'economically vulnerable' voters, impeachment critics

Impeachment is a virtual lock. His approval ratings are stuck in the mid-40s. And 2016 popular vote winner Hillary Rodham Clinton is toying with a repeat run for president.

So why is President Trump and the Trump-Pence campaign feeling confident of a 2020 reelection?

Because, according to pollsters, insiders, and election experts, Trump is expanding his base of Republican and conservative supporters to include more independents and minorities and attracting voters who are angry at Washington but who skipped the 2016 election.

“Everybody is doing incredibly well. The poll numbers are looking great, and the economy is doing wonderfully, and we’re executing our agenda successfully to bring the change that people voted for, and we are supremely confident,” said senior White House policy adviser Stephen Miller.

US will leave Paris climate accord, Trump administration tells UN, starting one-year timetable for withdrawal

The Trump administration is starting the process of leaving the Paris climate agreement, setting in motion a long-anticipated move to become the first country to exit the pact.

The State Department filed a notice Monday of its intention to the U.N. secretary-general. Under the terms of the agreement, the United States had to wait until Monday to submit the paperwork even though President Trump announced in June 2017 that he rejected the deal.

"President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made under the Agreement," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

Filing the paperwork starts a one-year countdown for the actual withdrawal that can become official one day after the November 2020 presidential election.

Honor veterans at Veterans Day Ceremony

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County War Memorial Committee invites the community to join in honoring military veterans at a ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial, located directly in front of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center at 500 Glen Ave. in Salisbury.

The ceremony, which is coordinated by the Wicomico County War Memorial Committee, includes patriotic music, prayer and remembrance to honor all veterans. Veterans Day is set aside to thank and honor living veterans who served honorably in the military, in wartime or peacetime.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside, in the Civic Center’s Midway Room.

Veterans Day, initially termed Armistice Day, was created to honor World War I veterans and celebrate the official ending of the First World War, which occurred at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, 1918. In 1954, after having been through both World War II and the Korean War, legislation was approved by the 83rd U.S. Congress to change the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day – thereby making Nov. 11 a day in which all American veterans of wars could be honored.

The Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center is a fitting location for this ceremony, as the Civic Center is a war memorial to all veterans. At the outside memorial, flags from each service branch, along with United States, Maryland, Wicomico County and POW-MIA flags, proudly fly over a brick wall displaying plaques with the names of Wicomico County’s fallen veterans from World War II and beyond. To learn more about the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial and the people it was built to honor, visit www.WicomicoCivicCenter.org.

North Carolina Sanctuary Cities Freed 500 Criminal Illegal Aliens This Year

More than 500 criminal illegal aliens were released back onto the streets of North Carolina this fiscal year by sanctuary cities, according to federal immigration officials.

Newly released data by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency reveals the degree to which sanctuary cities and counties in North Carolina are protecting criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.

“Across North Carolina, local authorities refused to honor more than 500 detainers for foreign nationals during Fiscal Year 2019,” ICE officials wrote in a statement. “All of these detainer refusals are of persons criminally arrested by a law enforcement agency for a criminal offense beyond their violation of federal immigration law.”

House Oversight top Republican declines whistleblower offer to provide written answers

House Oversight Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan declined an offer from the whistleblower's lawyer to provide written answers to questions submitted by House Republicans.

Mark Zaid, the whistleblower's lawyer, told House Intelligence Committee ranking Republican Devin Nunes on Saturday that his client would be willing to answer questions from the Republicans in an effort to be as bipartisan as possible while remaining anonymous. Zaid offered for those questions to be "in writing, under oath and penalty of perjury."

Jordan claimed Sunday that, "Written answers will not provide a sufficient opportunity to probe all the relevant facts and cross examine the so-called Whistleblower. You don't get to ignite an impeachment effort and never account for your actions and role in orchestrating it. We have serious questions about this individual's political bias and partisan motivations and it seems Mark Zaid and Adam Schiff are attempting to hide these facts from public scrutiny."

Trump signs off on plan to cap US refugee limit at 18,000 in 2020

President Trump on Saturday signed off on a plan to cap the number of refugees taken in by the United States at 18,000 in fiscal year 2020.

The number represents the lowest amount of possible refugees accepted by America since the program’s creation in 1980.

Religious and humanitarian groups cried foul over the plan when it was first introduced by the State Department in September.

The Trump administration this year agreed to let in as many as 30,000 refugees. In the final year of the Obama administration, the refugee ceiling was 85,000.

Conservative Californians Leaving In Droves For "America First, Law And Order" Red States

California conservatives are leaving the state in droves over what the LA Times describes as their "disenchantment with deep-blue California's liberal political culture," not to mention "high taxes, lukewarm support for local law enforcement, and policies they believe have thrown open the doors to illegal immigration."
Just over half of California’s registered voters have considered leaving the state, according to a UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll conducted for the Los Angeles Times. Republicans and conservative voters were nearly three times as likely as their Democratic or liberal counterparts to seriously have considered moving — 40% compared with 14%, the poll found. Conservatives mentioned taxes and California’s political culture as a reason for leaving more frequently than they cited the state’s soaring housing costs. -LA Times
Former Californians Richard and Judy Stark had no regrets as they left their Modesto home, towing a U-Haul trailer with their Volkswagen SUV 1,300 miles to Amarillo, Texas. After finding the website Conservative Move, the Starks put their home up for sale around six months ago and bought a newly constructed three-bedroom home in the suburb of McKinney for around $300,000. According to Stark, a similar home in California would cost around twice as much.

Mike Huckabee: Ilhan Omar's anti-American rhetoric is the new normal for Democrats

The United States of America has been perhaps the greatest force for good that the world has ever seen, but many Democrats believe otherwise. Their blindness to America’s virtues makes it impossible for them to utilize those virtues effectively.

At a Minnesota rally at which she endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for the Democratic presidential nomination, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., proclaimed that the socialist senator from Vermont would end “Western imperialism.”

Omar’s remarks are just the most recent incendiary anti-American statements to come from “the Squad” — the group of four far-left Democrats in the House of Representatives who are driving their party’s embrace of radical politics. The Squad’s downright disdain for our country is appalling, so receiving the endorsement of one of its most outspoken members should be more of a liability to Sanders' campaign than an asset.

Relatives say at least 9 members of American family killed in Mexico, many of them kids

Mexico City — Relatives say at least nine U.S. citizens, including six children, who live in a Mormon community in northern Mexico were killed in a shooting attack. The families said they suspect it may have been a case of mistaken identity by drug cartel gunmen.

Family members told "CBS This Morning" that the FBI has opened an investigation into the killings. It happened Monday near the town of Bavispe, about 100 miles south of the Arizona border. As many as 13 other members of La Mora — a decades-old settlement in Sonora state founded as part of an offshoot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — were initially reported missing after the attack on a convoy of SUVs carrying community members, said a relative who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals.

The relative said he had located the burned-out, bullet-ridden SUV containing the remains of his nephew's wife and her four children, twin seven-month old babies and two other children aged 8 and 10.

State judges will no longer require cash bail for most misdemeanors and non-violent felonies like selling drugs or burglarizing a home, and the state says nearly 900 city residents in jail now will be released starting mid-December.

Bail bondsman Ira Judelson said he’s already seeing fewer arrests.

Behavioral specialist, 62, gets two life sentences after he raped and impregnated two patients

Betts-King pleaded guilty in July to raping the women - who attended day programs at the MLVE Community Center - 'through use of their mental capacity'.

It's reported the 33-year-old victim has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and the 22-year-old victim has the mental capacity of a five-year-old but when confronted with the evidence, Betts-King allegedly told investigators that the women 'came on to him'.

Election Integrity in Maryland; A Conversation with Maya Rockeymoore Cummings

In Prince George’s County, some 200 fraudulent voting incidents occur each year due to the presence of non-citizen voting in the county. While the Maryland State Board turns a blind eye to this problem, the national non-profit group, Judicial Watch has been investigating and found some 900,000 non-citizen registrations on the voting rolls between Virginia and Maryland.

Fair and honest voting is vital for good government, because good people will not even run for office, much less get elected, when the system is rigged. The corruption of elections can occur in a number of ways, but much depends on the good will of those public officials, appointed and elected, who have power and control over the system. In Maryland, fraudulent voting has been a problem on many levels.

In a recent social media conversation with Maya Cummings, Maryland Democrat Party chair, and widow of Rep. Elijah Cummings (Baltimore), we discussed this matter in some detail.

Lee Havis A recent Judicial Watch report, I’m told, came out with information that some 900,000 unqualified non-citizens voted in the 2018 elections in Virginia and Maryland. Sadly, I doubt that the “congressional delegation” in Maryland is very concerned about solving this problem of election integrity, but rather actually more concerned with padding the voter rolls and voting in favor of their own partisan political power through any means possible, including voting by non-citizens. Am I right on this, or do I exaggerate?

Maya Rockeymoore Cummings ask Republican Governor Hogan. He’s in charge of the entire electoral system.

Lee Havis with respect, not really. There is a state board of elections, and a Linda Lemone is the head of that board, whose tenure is controlled by political parties, not the Governor. Ms. Lemone has a tight control over issues like election fraud.Judicial Watch is not in a legal battle for voting records and such from Governor Hogan, but rather from the State Board of Elections. Since you are prominent in the Maryland Democrat party, I think it’s important for you to know who is responsible for issues of election fraud, and how to resolve these issues. I’m quite sure you will find a willing and receptive cooperation from our Republican colleagues in this matter.

Chaos in Brooklyn as 1,000 anti-cop protesters storm subway stations

Nearly a thousand protesters took to the streets of Brooklyn to demonstrate against the NYPD after a spate of violent arrests on the subway and over its plans to put more officers on the beat to catch anyone who skips paying the fare.

The protesters started gathering in Downtown Brooklyn near Barclays Center at about 7pm Friday, with their signs reflecting the dual nature of the march.

While flashier banners bore slogans such as 'Don't let these pigs touch us,' 'F**k the police,' 'Punch that cop' and 'NYPD out of MTA,' other signs read 'Free transit,' 'Poverty is not a crime' and 'Our subways need more $ for elevators, not for cops.'

Their grievances stem from two issues. One, alleged police brutality against New Yorkers including a group of teenagers who officers were seen fighting with in a recent viral video.

Sexually Explicit Books Were Put in These Virginia Classrooms. Parents Want Answers.

Parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, are outraged after discovering that thousands of books were placed in classrooms across the school district this year as part of a new “Diverse Classroom Library Initiative.”

While most of these books focus on introducing kids to different cultures and ethnicities, parents began to discover that an alarming number of the books focused on “sexual diversity,” contain sexually explicit language, including “frequent descriptions of underage drinking, fondling, masturbation, orgasms, oral sex, sexual intercourse, sexual abuse, statutory rape, incest, and rape.”

Even books at the kindergarten level promote LGBT ideology through books such as “My Princess Boy,” designed to introduce 5- and 6-year-olds to the harmful idea that they can change their gender. Another book, “Heather Has Two Mommies,” denies the need for fathers and ignores the loss a child might feel over having no relationship with his or her father.

Earthquakes Rattle The U.S. As The Level Of Seismic Activity In North America Continues To Rise

Why is the mainstream media being so quiet about all of the seismic activity that has been happening all across the United States? During the last 7 days, there has been an earthquake swarm directly along the New Madrid Fault zone, Kansas and Oklahoma have been hit by a very unusual number of significant quakes, and there have been several sizable seismic events in the vicinity of the Yellowstone super-volcano.

But of course the west coast is getting hammered more than anyone else. According to Cal Tech, there have been more than 1000 earthquakes in California and Nevada over the last week, but of course most of them have been very small. Overall, the latest USGS numbers tell us that there have been more than 2,000 earthquakes nationally during the last 7 days, and apparently we aren’t supposed to be alarmed by that. But could it be possible that all of this seismic activity is leading up to something really big?

They said shifting the clocks back and forth every year leads to a rise in the number of heart attacks and strokes and can affect children's brain development.

Young children, the elderly, women and people with cancer appear to be more susceptible to the effects of the time shift.

Dr Beth Malow and Dr Kanika Bagai, from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, and Dr Olivia Veatch from the University of Pennsylvania expressed their concerns in a journal.

City PIA Is different than Sate FOIA

Jake said he did not know about the geese being euthanized when it was discovered they were gone. It was decided on June 10th and the "killing" was done in July some time. The question I have is, who can figure out whose signature is that over "cooperatives signature"??? Is it Jake's, Stevenson's, etc... Someone please figure it out.  (See bottom of page 1 on the second document)

Why did I have to get this info from the state of MD? Chris DeMoan did not send me this document when I asked him for a PIA from the city in reference to the geese, and obviously must have had a copy of it. Do you smell a rat?

Editor's note: Looks like the signature of Julia Glanz.  I will leave it up to the readers to decide

Who or what shelter(s) received the geese meat? What methods in the past were used to control the geese population before euthanizing them? “
please see the following answers to your questions, provided in the order they appear in your request:

1.       Approval was given to the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service/Wildlife Service on June 10th, 2019.
2.       The contact was Ronald Healey, District Supervisor MD/DE/DC Wildlife Services Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service United States Department of Agriculture. He coordinated with the City’s Director of Field Operations, Tom Stevenson.
3.       The City of Salisbury paid $6,892.00 from the City’s Stormwater Fund to the USDA.
4.       This is not information to which the City would be privy. For that information, you would need to reach out the USDA.
5.       The Salisbury Zoo is registered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to perform nest management. In the past they have employed a method whereby a professional uses a pin or other pointed object to puncture unhatched eggs – a process known as addling. The only other method which has been employed in the past involved placing wooden cutouts of wolves around places where geese gathered.  The technique is very effective for about a week, until the geese become accustomed to seeing the cutouts, at which point they begin to ignore them.
