Honoring illegal immigrants at the White House as illegal immigrants pour across the border sends the wrong message, according to Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin.
“At a time when we already have an uncontrollable flood of people illegally entering the United States, President Obama’s decision to hold a White House ceremony honoring illegal immigrants is going to make a bad situation worse,” Martin said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day the Obama administration welcomed illegal immigrants accepted to the President’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program – which allows certain undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children to live and work in the United States – to the White House and honored them as “Champions of Change.”

34 Die In Militant Attack In Kenya Town
Somali militants who murdered 48 people in a Kenyan village as they watched the World Cup went door to door asking residents if they were Muslim or spoke Somali - and shot them dead if either answer was 'no', witnesses revealed today.
The attack on the coastal village of Mpeketoni, about 30-miles southwest of the tourist centre of Lamu, came at the end of a weekend of bloodshed that has exposed the world to the shocking depravity of terrorists, apparently emboldened by each other's acts.
Witnesses told how about 30 gunmen - believed to be members of Somali terror group al-Shabaab - arrived in the town in minibuses at 8pm yesterday before bursting into residents homes, shooting dead any man they thought was not Muslim.
'They came to our house at around 8pm and asked us in Swahili whether we were Muslims,' said Anne Gathigi. 'My husband told them we were Christians and they shot him in the head and chest.'

Sum Ting Wong: Feds Bust Illegals At Chinese Restaurants
You couldn’t cook up a more bizarre government response to the illegal immigration crisis gripping the nation.
Despite the ongoing flood of illegal aliens pouring across the Mexican border into the U.S., the Department of Homeland Security has now turned its sights on Asian restaurants in the sleepy little town of State College, Pennsylvania, the home of Penn State University.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents swept into the State College area and raided at least eight Asian-owned businesses, arresting staff and hauling out cartons of alleged evidence.
A buffet restaurant popular with university students and a brand-new Karaoke bar were among the businesses ICE raided.

Obama 'Hasn't Lifted a Finger' to Help U.S. Marine in Mexico Jail
(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) said on Tuesday that President Barack Obama’s claim that no members of the U.S. military are “left behind” does not seem to hold true for Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, the Marine arrested by Mexican authorities on April 1 on weapons charges.
When asked about the exchange of Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban terrorists at a Heritage Foundation event on Capitol Hill, Salmon recalled attending a classified briefing given to House members by Obama administration officials.

MGM Sets Goals For National Harbor Casino Project’s Local And Minority Hiring MGM Sets
MGM Resorts International and Prince George’s County officials have reached an agreement that sets employment and procurement goals for the construction and operations of the $925 million casino resort planned for National Harbor.
Part of the goals relate to the casino giant’s hiring and contracting within the county and with companies owned by minorities. MGM also has committed to investing $1 million in the county before the casino opens and to contribute $400,000 to the county annually while the casino is in operation.
For months, officials with the Prince George’s county executive’s office and MGM worked behind closed doors to negotiate the agreement. But that drew criticism from residents, civic leaders and County Council members, who said they were being left out of the negotiations.

VDOT Makes Changes After Bicyclist Hit By Vehicle On Bridge
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Department of Transportation is making immediate changes to increase safety on the pedestrian pathway across the Berkley Bridge after a woman riding her bike was hit by a vehicle there this past weekend.
The woman, Kelley Howell, just happened to be recording video when she was involved in the crash Saturday afternoon. The video she shared with WAVY.com shows her being knocked to the ground by a passing motorist on the pedestrian pathway.
VDOT confirmed a bridge tender was driving the vehicle involved in the accident. That driver has been placed on administrative leave.

Logging Truck Clips Wires and Tears Down Poles Near Dagsboro
Dagsboro, DE – Troopers are investigating an incident where a logging truck struck some power lines and caused utility poles to fall to the ground.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. today when troopers responded to the area of DuPont Boulevard (US113) and 9 Foot Road (SR26) for a report of wires across both northbound and southbound lanes of the road. The investigation revealed that a 1998 Mack Truck with a trailer full of logs being operated by Sherwood Cottman, 52 of Eden, MD, was traveling southbound on US113. As the truck approached the area of 9 Foot Road, one of the logs seated above the tongs of the trailer caught some wires and began pulling poles down. The truck was able to come to a stop on the southbound shoulder but not before one of the logs became dislodged from the trailer and three utility poles were pulled over.
Sherwood Cottman was not injured in the incident and was cited for an Oversize Load.
Northbound and southbound lanes of US113 between 9 Food Road and Swamp Road were closed for a period of time while utility crews worked to clear the wires and poles. One lane of northbound US113 was closed for approximately six hours while utility and phone crews worked to restore the electrical and telephone equipment.

Attention Walmart Shoppers; Beware Of Self Checkout Kiosks
Consumers who shop at Walmart should pay extra close attention when using a self checkout kiosk.
Too often people rely on the capability and accuracy of technology; essentially making the human brain lazy when it comes to numbers & more specifically, numbers involving cash transactions.
Customers often times use self checkout due to the extremely long wait at Walmart checkout lines. Most have experienced the – one lane open – while the checkout line continues to “backup.”
Many consumers turn to the self checkout because a person’s time is important, and many are in a hurry to get out of the store.

Haven’t We Already Done Enough Damage in Iraq?
In 2006, I invited the late General Bill Odom to address my Thursday Congressional luncheon group. Gen. Odom, a former NSA director, called the Iraq war "the greatest strategic disaster in American history," and told the surprised audience that he could not understand why Congress had not impeached the president for pushing this disaster on the United States. History continues to prove the General's assessment absolutely correct.
In September, 2002, arguing against a US attack on Iraq, I said the following on the House Floor:
No credible evidence has been produced that Iraq has or is close to having nuclear weapons. No evidence exists to show that Iraq harbors al Qaeda terrorists. Quite to the contrary, experts on this region recognize Hussein as an enemy of the al Qaeda and a foe to Islamic fundamentalism.
Unfortunately, Congress did not listen.

Cable Boxes Are Second Biggest Energy Sucker In Most Homes
Cable boxes let TV viewers around the country tune in to their favorite programs, but the appliances are sucking energy more than most household items in the process.
A cable box with a digital recorder can consume as much as 35 watts of power, costing about $8 a month, according to The Los Angeles Times. Cable boxes are the second biggest energy drainer in many homes -- falling behind air conditioning.
The nation's 224 million cable boxes combined consume as much electricity as four nuclear reactors running around the clock, the LA Times reports.

Don’t Blame Iraq on Obama Alone
Some Republicans are indulging in revisionist history.
I’ve just written Faithless Execution, a book positingthat there is such a solid legal case of high crimes and misdemeanors committed by the president that the time is ripe to build a political case for his impeachment. I have argued, moreover, that the president’s policy of appeasing and empowering Islamic supremacists has been a national-security catastrophe, catalyzing a jihadist resurgence across the Middle East.
It is pretty safe to say I am no fan of Barack Obama’s. But it is just as safe to say that for Beltway Republicans to blame Obama alone for the implosion of Iraq — which is now being overrun by the same Sunni jihadists those Republicans havechampioned in Syria and Libya — is shameful.
Look, I will stipulate that the president’s signature recklessness is abundantly evident in Iraq. He heedlessly withdrew U.S. forces, making no effort to preserve the security gains they achieved in routing al-Qaeda, even as it became obvious that the withdrawal had evaporated those gains and invited the terror network to return with a vengeance.

Mom of Illegal Immigrant Says Her Son Came to U.S. Because ‘They Don’t Deport Children’
While the White House continues to insist the influx of children from Central America has nothing to do with its immigration policies, mounting evidence is proving otherwise.
In addition to a leaked internal memo that pins the administration’s lax enforcement laws as responsible for the recent humanitarian crisis in Texas and Arizona, Jorge Ramos, anchor of the Spanish-language television network Univision, further challenged the Obama narrative that the surge is a direct response to violence and poverty in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.
In an interview with a Marlen Mena Bautista, a Honduran mother whose 15-year-old son recently crossed the border illegally, Ramos found that children are instead coming to the United States because of a widespread perception that they won’t be deported.

Biden to emphasize that illegal immigration of kids to US isn't 'safe'
The senior official told reporters on a conference call that a visit to Guatemala had been added to Biden's schedule at the last minute so he could meet with representatives of the governments of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to discuss the 'root causes' behind the apparent flood of unaccompanied minors leaving their countries to illegally immigrate to the U.S.
Biden's sudden visit to Guatemala is the Obama administration's latest effort to mitigate criticism that it encouraged thousands of children and teenagers to make the dangerous trek to the U.S. when it announced two years ago that it would stop deporting children of illegal immigrants.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Relative Running For Congress: ‘There Is No God’ In Washington
BATON ROUGE, La. — A nephew of “Duck Dynasty’s” Phil Robertson says he is running for the Louisiana congressional seat held by Vance McAllister, who was elected with the TV family’s support and later was wrapped up in scandal when video surfaced showing him kissing a married staffer.
Zach Dasher, a 36-year-old Republican who has never run for office, said in a statement Monday announcing his candidacy for the Nov. 4 election that he opposed the federal health overhaul and abortion and supports a constitutional amendment requiring that Congress balance the budget.
“I got to looking around at the problems in politics today, and what I see in Washington, D.C., is no God. There is no God. The elite political class thinks they can be running our lives,” he said in an interview with The Associated Press.

The Fix Was In From The Beginning
I threw the Constitution in the woods years ago, when I became aware of its true nature as a document empowering government rather than protecting the rights of the people. The historic fact is the Constitution was intended to gut the rights of the people; it was only as an afterthought that the Bill of Rights was tacked on, to placate those who were – rightly, as it turns out – suspicious of what Hamilton & Co. were up to.
The Constitution is all about “Congress shall have power…” and so on. Well, over whomshall it have power? By what authority?
The Bill of Rights, on the other hand, is all about “Congress shall make no law… and “shall not be infringed.” It is a roster of contraswith regard to government. An assertion of the positive rights of the individual. It expressed the popular feeling behind the Revolution that was subverted by the Constitution. Read it – the Bill of Rights – and you will immediately notice how it comports with the Declaration of Independence, whereas the Constitution’s enumeration of state power sounds a discordant, reactionary note. Hamilton and Co. were appalled by the freedom briefly enjoyed by average Americans. By the weakness (i.e., its inability to forcibly coerce) of the central government; in particular, its inability to “raise revenue” and impose its will across the land. See, for instance, the so-called Whiskey Rebellion. And so the Hamiltonians wrote the Constitution – without the authorization or consent of “the people,” in secret conclave – for the express purpose of “correcting” the problem, as they saw it, of too much liberty . . . and not enough government.

THE UNITED STATES OF DEBT: TOTAL DEBT IN AMERICA HITS A NEW RECORD HIGH OF NEARLY 60 TRILLION DOLLARS
What would you say if I told you that Americans are nearly 60 TRILLION dollars in debt?
What would you say if I told you that Americans are nearly 60 TRILLION dollars in debt? Well, it is true. When you total up all forms of debt including government debt, business debt, mortgage debt and consumer debt, we are 59.4 trillion dollars in debt. That is an amount of money so large that it is difficult to describe it with words. For example, if you were alive when Jesus Christ was born and you had spent 80 million dollars every single day since then, you still would not have spent 59.4 trillion dollars by now. And most of this debt has been accumulated in recent decades. If you go back 40 years ago, total debt in America was sitting at about 2.2 trillion dollars. Somehow over the past four decades we have allowed the total amount of debt in the United States to get approximately 27 times larger. This is utter insanity, and anyone that thinks this is sustainable is completely deluded. We are living in the greatest debt bubble of all time, and there is no way that this is going to end well. Just check out the chart…

I’m Sick Of Being Labeled An Islamophobe For Stating The Truth
A week ago Barack Hussein Obama stated that the “world is less violent” during a Tumblr interview session – as his acolytes lapped it up. Is he really that clueless?
Islamic terrorist group al-Shabab proves it so. According to Yahoo News, Dozens of extremists (i.e. Islamic terrorists) attacked a Kenyan coastal town for hours, killing those who couldn’t answer questions about Islam and those who didn’t know the Somali language, officials and witnesses said Monday.
At least 48 people were killed and two hotels were set on fire. The assault in Mpeketoni began Sunday night as residents watched World Cup matches on TV and lasted until early Monday, with little resistance put up by Kenya’s security forces. Cars and buildings still smoldered at daybreak.

The Unraveling of Iraq
The Unraveling of Iraq is Playing Out Just as Dick Cheney Predicted
He launched a war that he knew would be futile and catastrophic.
“Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.” — Emperor Palpatine, The Return of the Jedi
Jon Stewart made great comedic hay during the Bush Administration out of the enormity of Dick Cheney’s “Sith Lord” malevolence. Events in Iraq in the past week have made especially palpable Cheney’s Palpatine-like quality.
As Iraq unravels, you may suspect that Cheney might now be, along with his fellow Iraq War architects, wringing his hands over how President Obama ruined what still could have been a splendid little nation-building project. Yet, as radio host Scott Horton indicated recently, he is more likely looking on at the debacle, along with those who opposed both him and the war all along, as the arrival of the inevitable.
In the first Bush Administration, Cheney was Secretary of Defense, and helped plan the first invasion of Iraq during the Persian Gulf War. In that war, he agreed with the decision not go all the way and overthrow the dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein. This was extremely frustrating for the neocons, who were baying for Baghdad blood even then.

The Warning Inherent in Escalating Official Lawlessness
IRS lost emails by official in tea party probe ... The Internal Revenue Service said Friday it has lost a trove of emails to and from a central figure in the agency's tea party controversy, sparking outrage from congressional investigators who have been probing the agency for more than a year. The IRS told Congress Friday it cannot locate many of Lois Lerner's emails prior to 2011 because her computer crashed during the summer of that year. Lerner headed the IRS division that processed applications for tax-exempt status. – AP
Dominant Social Theme: These things happen.
Free-Market Analysis: This is a good example of the deteriorating level of US government behavior. It's disturbing because it seems to shows an escalating level of recklessness. We last wrote about this here:
When It Comes to Lawlessness in the US, Preparation Is the Essence of Foresight
That article was focused on the IRS sending a database containing confidential taxpayer information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. But illegally sending a database to the FBI can possibly be explained away, illegal or not. Claiming that hundreds or thousands of recent emails have been "lost" beggars belief.
Hillary Clinton exploded on Secret Service for refusing to carry bags, says former agent
A former Secret Service agent claims that Hillary Clinton was rude to agents during her time as First Lady.
When agents refused to carry her luggage, a task that is not in their job description, Hillary allegedly screamed “Stay the f*** away from me! Just f*****g do as I say!” former FBI agent Gary Aldridge wrote in his book Unlimited Access: An FBI Agent Inside the White House.
Agents who served on the Clinton’s protective detail claim that Bill was very cordial, always chatting and asking about their families, while Hillary was aloof and hardly gave so much as a “thank you,” the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
Another former Secret Service agent, Dan Emmett, wrote in his book At Arms Length that the former president sometimes disregarded the safety of his Secret Service protection in highly dangerous situations.

NYT: VA Punished Whistleblowers for Years
The Veterans Affairs department has punished whistleblowers for years, The New York Times reported, citing interviews with current and former staff members and internal documents.
The federal Office of Special Counsel, which investigates whistleblower complaints, is examining 37 claims of retaliation by VA employees at facilities in 19 states, according to the newspaper.
The government watchdog has successfully called on the VA to drop the recent disciplinary action taken against three staff members who had spoken out about the systemic problems with the department.
Since the scandal erupted, hundreds of whistleblowers have come forward to report cases of extensive patient delays and fake scheduling to their union leaders, lawmakers, federal investigators, and a whistleblower advocacy group.

Liberals Furious over SC Law to Teach the Constitution in Schools
The Republican controlled legislature in South Carolina recently infuriated liberal groups by insisting that state universities teach students about the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents.
The SC House of Representatives had recently cut funding for two state universities that had required students to read homosexual-themed books. This month, a revised budget restored the funding.
But the renewed funding had strings attached. The new budget stipulated that the money was to be used "for instruction in the provisions and principles of the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Federalist Papers, including the study of and devotion to American institutions and ideals."

$93,000-Plus Raised For Mauled 3-year-old Allegedly Kicked Out Of KFC
More than $93,000 has been raised for a young girl after her family said she was kicked out of a KFC in Mississippi last week because of facial injuries she received in a pit bull attack.
The family said the money would help pay the mounting medical bills of 3-year-old Victoria Wilcher, who was nearly killed when she was mauled by three pit bulls in April. The girl lost her right eye and the ability to move the right side of her face.

DC Political Bubble Is Set to Burst
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's shocking loss in his primary last week left many observers wondering if the fallout would spark a GOP leadership shuffle. Cantor's opponent, econ professor Dave Brat, with a shoe-string budget and zero support from national tea party "organizations," ran a classic grassroots campaign and bested the powerful incumbent by more than ten points. With an increased turnout from two years ago, the result had all the markings of a real voter revolt.
Within hours of Cantor's defeat, though, the House GOP caucus rallied around his deputy, House Whip Kevin McCarthy, to replace him as number two in leadership. Rather than reflect on whether Cantor's loss signaled a larger issue, Republicans circled the wagons to preserve the status quo.
This is a bit like Lincoln replacing McClellan with the general's less-accomplished twin brother.

CNN Poll: Most Democrats Not 'Enthusiastic' About Hillary for President
Despite sky-high name recognition, a best-selling book and a weak Democratic presidential field, most Democrats just aren't that excited about Hillary Clinton at the moment.
While a solid majority dutifully say they'll support the former first lady and secretary of state if she wins their party's presidential nomination, only a minority are excited about that prospect, a poll released Sunday revealed.
The CNN/ORC International poll found that 63 percent of Democrats and independents who lean toward the party said they'd most likely support Clinton as the nominee.

Do Iraq’s Islamist Rebels Have Our Stinger Missiles?
While President Obama returns from his latest California weekend of golftoday, maybe he will contemplate the utter catastrophe that is brewing in Iraq under his watch.
Veteran CBS News foreign affairs correspondent Lara Logan Sunday offered up an alarming summary of the types of weapons the Islamist ISIS group - which is literally rampaging through Iraq – may now be in possession of, including American fighting vehicles and, far worse, stinger missiles.
She even raised the possibility that terrorists could be in possession of F-16s and Apache helicopters, or may soon be. All of it of course American stuff abandoned on military bases and in the field by fleeing Iraqi soldiers.

Supreme Court To Decide When Online Rants Cross Line Into Criminal Threats
If I go on Facebook and tell someone in Florida that I am going to beat him into a bloody pulp and maybe kidnap his kid for good measure, I’m in violation of federal law. But does it matter whether I actually intend to do any of these things or if I’m just ranting with no intention of getting up from my comfy couch to do anyone any harm? That’s the question the Supreme Court will soon have to decide.
Earlier today, SCOTUS agreed to consider the case of Elonis v. United States, which involves a series of allegedly threatening Facebook posts made by the petitioner during what would politely be called a low point in his life.
A Lonely Guy & His Computer Do Not A Good Pair Make
The case goes back to 2010, when the petitioner’s wife of seven years left him and took their children with her… and then he lost his job. That’s when he started writing things on Facebook, using Eminem song lyrics as his inspiration.
And as anyone who is familiar with the oeuvre of Eminem is probably aware, things can get a little unseemly and violent. Take, for example, this couplet: “Slut, you think I won’t choke no whore/ Til the vocal cords don’t work in her throat no more?”
But the petitioner claims he added disclaimers to these posts that he was using a fictional persona for “therapeutic” purposes.

Bodenweiser Case Ends In Mistrial
A Sussex County jury was unable to agree on a verdict on any of 15 sex-abuse charges against former state Senate candidate Eric Bodenweiser, so Judge E. Scott Bradley has declared a mistrial in the case.
The jury of eight women and four men deliberated for about two hours June 13 and about seven more hours June 16 before telling Bradley they could not reach a verdict.
The state now has the option to retry the case, drop the charges or offer a plea bargain. Defense attorneys said it could take several months for prosecutors to decide how to proceed.

Kathleen Willey blasts Hillary’s ‘dead broke’ claim
People 'wake every morning wondering, is this gonna be the day I lose my house?'
Kathleen Willey, a Democrat activist who with her husband, Ed, founded Virginians for Clinton and helped send Bill and Hillary to the White House in 1992, is blasting Hillary Clinton’s recent claim that she and the president left the White House in 2000 dead broke.
“For her to say dead broke. … I can tell you what it is to be dead broke and owing money,” she told WND in an interview.
Hillary Clinton, who has walked back her claim, told ABC’s Diane Sawyer she and her husband “came out of the White House not only dead broke but in debt.”
“We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to piece together the resources for mortgages for the houses, for Chelsea’s education,” she said. ‘You know, it was not easy.”

You won’t believe new campus rules on ‘rape’
Student expelled 'due to pressure from federal government'
A student is suing Occidental College in Los Angeles for expelling him after a female student allegedly sent text messages indicating she had wanted to have sex, arranged for a rendezvous, then one week later accused him of sexual assault.
The case is the latest to follow the Obama administration’s new effort to crack down on campus rape.
The plaintiff, who filed anonymously as John Doe, said the female student texted him asking if he had a condom, informed a friend she was “goingtohave ‘sex” (sic) and coordinated a route to his dorm.
Police investigated and decided not to prosecute, but the male student was expelled, because of “pressure from the federal government to take action on sexual assault,” according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, which is working on the case.

Campylobacter can cause abdominal pain, severe diarrhea and vomiting, and in some cases death. Those most at risk are children and older people.

As Joshua Robinson-Gripper drove away, he was dragging both the front and rear bumpers of his vehicle causing a cascade of sparks as he drove. Robinson-Gripper continued westbound on Ocean Gateway again traveling westbound in the eastbound lane before crashing into a dirt embankment in the Hebron area that permanently disabled the vehicle at which point Robinson-Gripper was assisted from his vehicle.
The vehicle being operated by Robinson-Gripper was reported stolen by the Ocean City Police Department.
Upon initial contact, Robinson-Gripper initially provided an identity to the deputy that would be determined to be false.
Upon arrest, Robinson-Gripper was transported to the Central Booking Unit. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Robinson-Gripper on unsecured bond.

Is this why no one found WMDS in Iraq?
Yes, prior to Gulf War 2, all sorts of people were lying about WMDs in Iraq. There was the whole business about the yellowcake and Niger, and Colin Powell speaking before the UN.
There was a WMD depot in Iraq that wasn’t a depot.
There were people who said they had secret evidence Saddam shipped weapons out of the country. And maybe they did have evidence.
But this is a different story. It involves the prospect of inspectors finding very serious weapons and then saying:
“Wait! The weapons’ containers have American labels on them!”

King Richard and the Knights Of the Round Table
In the Sunday's edition of the Daily Time 6/15/14 King Richard Pollitt Great Lord And Master of the liberal Wicomico County Council officially knighted five members of the county council. Now not only does Wicomico County have a House Of Lords (ie The Greater Salisbury Committee) it now also has it's own Knights Of the Round Table. After laying the sword on the shoulders of the five knighted members he swiftly turned the blade to behead the two council members that dare defy him a complete sweep of a seven zero vote for a five year run on tax increases.
Now lets take a look at the five chosen ones.
Matt (sorry you can't see me I'm right here behind Ricky) Holloway, ran for council as a conservative soon flipped, found the heat to much by towing the line for the taxpayers, has more fun being one of the good old boys.
Stevie (can't wait to fly south to the land of cheaper taxes) Prettyman, did a great job for a lot of years however could not take the pressure from the liberal left flipped on the Bennett Middle vote and seems to enjoy being the center of attention no matter were she stands.
Gail (I just can't think of a thing to cut and I'm not running for reelection anyway so what does it matter) Barkovitch, another one who in the past had done a pretty good job but of lately just doesn't seem to care much about the taxpayers of Wicomico County
John ( It's still cheaper to live in Wicomico County regardless of how high the taxes are) Hall, come on Mr. Hall quit drinking Rick Pollitts kool aid. Were did that come from and prove it with data. Mr Hall was just a wolf in sheeps clothing when he interviewed for that job. No one's running for his seat so the liberals of Salisbury have infiltrated the Wicomico County Council.
Sherrie (don't want to leave Wicomico in bad shape so lets just raise these taxes again) Sample Hughes. Now no doubt she would tow the party line but just a couple years ago she voted against Pollitts budget the reason to this writer unknown. This person is going to the House of Delegates unopposed, we should all cringe.
Now what of the two beheaded serfs, hopefully the voters of Wicomico County will express themselves this fall and send Mr. Bob Culver to the Executive's office. Think about it, can we take four more years of tax increases after the last five.
As far as Joe Holloway this guy has done just what he said he would do, go after wasteful spending and abuse of taxpayers money. And he hasn't been shy about it. I hope he retains his seat.
The Jolly Roger Park in Ocean City is Celebrating Its 50th Anniversary
Jolly Roger Parks is celebrating 50 years in Ocean City on Tuesday with a ceremony at its flagship amusement park on Coastal Highway.
Charles "Buddy" Jenkins, the founder and owner, laid the groundwork for Jolly Roger Parks in 1964 when he met renowned golfer Arnold Palmer and collaborated with him to open the Arnold Palmer Putting Course and Driving Range on 30th Street.
During the years that followed, Jenkins added several rides and attractions to the property, and in 1974 he acquired the rights to open a second amusement park on Ocean City’s downtown pier.

Lyme-Carrying Ticks Are Going To Be 'Gangbusters' This Summer
Deer ticks, also known as blacklegged ticks, are the prime carriers of Lyme disease, which is particularly common in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Large numbers of ticks, the parasites that carry Lyme disease, are expected to emerge in New England in the coming weeks, experts said on Friday.
Abundant snow over the winter and a wet spring have created ideal conditions for ticks to come out in the warm weather and try to latch onto hosts, they said.
"The next three to four weeks is the peak season of risk," said Sam Telford, an infectious disease professor at Tufts University and an authority on Lyme disease.
"That's when the nymphal ticks emerge and appear in large numbers. It's going to be gangbusters the next few weeks," Telford said.

GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY HOSTS CHESAPEAKE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING
Members sign Landmark Chesapeake Watershed Agreement
ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Governor Martin O’Malley, 2014 chair of the Chesapeake Executive Council, today hosted Bay Program partners in Annapolis for the landmark signing of a new Chesapeake Watershed Agreement. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, Delaware Governor Jack Markell,Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and Washington, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray were among the program partners who joined Governor O’Malley in committing to a new set of goals that will advance restoration and protection of the Bay, its tributaries and the lands that surround the Chesapeake Bay. Commission Chair Pennsylvania State Representative Ron Miller, and West Virginia Environmental Protection Director Scott Mandirola also participated in today’s meeting.
“Today we celebrate the most inclusive, collaborative, goal-oriented Agreement the Chesapeake Bay Watershed has ever seen,” said Governor Martin O’Malley, Executive Council Chair. “This Agreement not only addresses our continuing water quality and land use challenges, it also confronts critical emerging issues like environmental literacy, toxic contaminants and climate change. Perhaps most importantly, it builds upon the strength of our diverse citizenry – including our youngest stewards – calling to action the nearly 18 million people that call our watershed home.”
The new Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement comprises 10 interrelated goals, which are linked to measurable and time-bound outcomes: clean water, abundant wildlife and a vibrant cultural heritage, where diverse populations of citizens and stakeholders have access to waterways and open space, and are engaged in conservation and stewardship. The Agreement also includes management strategies, which for the first time will describe how and when the jurisdictions intend to achieve these outcomes.
“I am pleased to see that this Agreement aligns closely with strategies developed by federal agencies in response to President Obama’s Executive Order on Bay protection and restoration,” said EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, who also chairs the Federal Leadership Committee for the Chesapeake Bay. “When there is consensus and commitment toward a common goal, our effectiveness is that much stronger. Together, we demonstrate our commitment toward a common goal – a restored, healthy and economically vibrant watershed.”
