Populist Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has announced his first steps to start deporting illegal migrants which will see the country invest 12 million euros and expects to deport at least 2,700 illegals.
The new plan is the first concrete proposal to start the process of deportations following Salvini’s closure of the ports to migrant transport NGOs, the major source of incoming asylum seekers, earlier this year.
The plan, which will also be half funded by the European Union, looks to deport migrants from countries including Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Bangladesh, and Pakistan with which Italy currently does not currently have a repatriation agreement, Il Giornale reports.

After Reagan, his successors did not slow down, with George H.W. Bush adding $1.55 trillion in a single term, followed by Clinton at $1.4 trillion, Bush at $5.85 trillion, and Obama at $8.59 trillion.
Estimates already show that Trump is expected to add a total $4.78 trillion during his first term.

Opioid overdoses killed 200 Americans a DAY last year, DEA report reveals
Opioid overdose deaths hit the highest level ever recorded in the United States last year, with an estimated 200 people dying per day, a new report by the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has found.
Preliminary figures show about 72,000 people died in 2017 from opioid-related overdoses across the country.
About a week ago, US health secretary Alex Azar said overdose deaths have now begun to level off, but he also cautioned that it was too soon to declare victory.
The DEA's National Drug Threat Assessment, which is being released Friday, shows that heroin, fentanyl and other opioids continue to be the highest drug threat in the nation.
But federal officials are concerned that methamphetamine and cocaine are being seen at much higher levels in areas that haven't historically been hot spots for those drugs.

Charleston Prentice Goodman, 26, was last seen by his mother and family at his Durham home on January 28.
'He kissed me on my forehead like he always does and said, "Mama, I love you, I'll be back," I said, "I love you, too, baby, be safe,"' Tammie Goodman told WNCNabout the day he was taken.
She shared that Charleston had been leaving to pick up his five-year-old daughter when he went missing. Less than ten seconds after he kissed her goodbye, Ms Goodman heard her son screaming.
When she ran outside, Ms Goodman was shocked to see her son being taken into a light-colored van.

However, the campaign looks so forced and uncomfortable that it just comes off as weird and embarrassing.

Ocean City Police Sergeant Retires After 27+ Years of Service
OCEAN CITY, MD – After over 27+ years of dedicated service to the citizens of Ocean City, Sergeant Mark Paddack retired on October 31 from the Ocean City Police Department. Sergeant Paddack began his career with the OCPD as a seasonal police officer in the summers of 1989 and 1990 and was hired as a full-time police officer in December 1990. Over the years, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served several summers as an Acting Lieutenant – Watch Commander.
During his career, Sgt. Paddack has held several leadership positions including Forensic Services Unit supervisor, Noise Enforcement Unit supervisor, Quick Response Team team leader, Firearms Training Unit supervisor, Property Review and Enforcement Strategies for Safe Housing (PRESS) Committee liaison, and much more. Sgt. Paddack also co-founded the Bicycle Patrol Unit and Citizens Police Academy, two programs that continue to be vital to OCPD operations.
Sgt. Paddack earned several awards for his exemplary service during his career including Neighborhood Watch Officer of the Year, Elks Lodge Officer of the Year, Maryland Governor’s Citation of Achievement for Pistol Marksmanship, Maryland Governor’s Citation of Achievement for Crime Prevention, and NRA Police Pistol Combat Distinguished Revolver Award, and 20 departmental commendations. Additionally, Sgt. Paddack was among a small group of officers honored by President Bill Clinton in October 1994 as a result of their work in arresting a serial rapist while on bike patrol.
“As a resident of Ocean City, Sgt. Paddack has always been truly committed to intertwining his passion for his community and his career in law enforcement,” commented Chief Ross Buzzuro. “Going back to early on in his career, Mark realized the effectiveness of community policing and many of his efforts will stand the test of time in this department. We salute him for his service.”
After his retirement, Sgt. Paddack plans to continue to serve his community and intends to work for the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office as a School Resource Officer.

Bridgeville Man Charged with Murder by Abuse or Neglect
Bridgeville– A Bridgeville man has been indicted on Murder by Abuse or Neglect charges in connection with the death of his child.
The investigation began in late September 2018 when Troopers were made aware of a suspicious death of a child. It was learned that a one-year-old child was on a ventilator and in the care of his father, 28-year-old Michael D. Lewis at a residence on 2nd street in the Walkers Mill Mobile Home Park. The child became unresponsive and was transported by Lewis to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, where the child was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation revealed that Lewis neglected the proper care of the child while on the ventilator. On October 24, 2018, Lewis was indicted for Murder by Abuse or Neglect First Degree. He was arraigned before the Sussex County Superior Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $500,000.00 cash only bond.

A dozen migrants traveling by foot from Honduras to the U.S. to seek asylum filed a class-action lawsuit Thursday against President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and others, claiming a violation of their due process under the Fifth Amendment.
The Fifth Amendment states that, "no person… shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."
Twelve Honduran nationals, including six children, are listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit. The suit, which was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., said it is widely known that Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are “undergoing a well-documented human rights crisis.” The lawsuit also claims that the plaintiffs’ right to the Administrative Procedures Act and the Declaratory Judgement Act were being infringed upon.

Law enforcement is not just a way to deal with individual violators but also a way to remind society at large that there can be no civilization without legality. In the modern world, we call such prompt, uniform, and guaranteed law enforcement “deterrence,” from the Latin verb meaning “to frighten away.” One protester who disrupts a speech is not the problem. But if unpunished, he green-lights hundreds more like him.

The founder of the #WalkAway Campaign, a movement showcasing stories of why Americans walk away from leftist ideology and the Democratic Party, says he is pleased with an organized march last weekend in the nation’s capital and plans to take the idea on the road.
“I thought it was spectacular. I am so proud of the entire weekend from beginning to end,” Brandon Straka said in an interview with The Daily Signal.
“I have very high expectations, which is why I usually feel let down all the time, but it was one of the rare moments in life where you have the highest possible hopes and expectations and it goes so far beyond,” Straka said.
Straka, 41, a former liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton in the past but now calls himself a “gay conservative,” said he estimates that 3,000 to 3,500 attended.

Back in the last century, when this was a different country, the Democrats were the “smart” party and the Republicans were the “stupid” party.
How did that work?
Well, back then the Democrats represented a broad middle class, with a base of factory workers, many of them unionized, and the party had to be smart, especially in the courts, to overcome the natural advantages of the owner class.
In contrast, the Republicans looked like a claque of country club drunks who staggered home at night to sleep on their moneybags. Bad optics, as we say nowadays.
The Democrats also occupied the moral high ground as the champion of the little guy. If not for the Dems, factory workers would be laboring twelve hours a day and children would still be maimed in the machinery. Once the relationship between business and labor was settled in the 1950s, the party moved on to a new crusade on even loftier moral high ground: civil rights, aiming to correct arrant and long-lived injustices against downtrodden black Americans. That was a natural move, considering America’s self-proclaimed post-war status as the world’s Beacon of Liberty. It had to be done and a political consensus that included Republicans got it done. Consensus was still possible.
The Dems built their fortress on that high ground and fifty years later they find themselves prisoners in it. The factory jobs all vamoosed overseas. The middle class has been pounded into penury and addiction.
The Democratic Party split into a four-headed monster comprised of Wall Street patrons seeking favors, war hawks and their corporate allies looking for new global rumbles, the permanent bureaucracy looking to always expand itself, and the various ethnic and sexual minorities whose needs and grievances are serviced by that bureaucracy. It’s the last group that has become the party’s most public face while the party’s other activities – many of them sinister — remain at least partially concealed.

This 48-year-old mom owes $600,000 in loans, as the student debt crisis worsens
In many ways, Daniel Strong is happy with his life. He owns a three-bedroom ranch-style house in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he lives with his wife and 3-year-old son, Benjamin. He recently made the last payment on his silver, Toyota Tacoma. He likes his job.
But there's one problem that won't go away.

Border official: three-quarters of migrants in the caravan are adult men
SAN DIEGO — Nearly three-quarters of those in the caravan of Central American migrants traveling through Mexico to the United States are adult men, a senior Border Patrol official told the Washington Examiner.
Families and unaccompanied children make up "about 20 to 30 percent" of the caravan, according to Roy Villareal, deputy chief patrol agent of the Border Patrol's San Diego Sector.
"The rest of that is single, adult males," Villareal said during a recent tour of the region.
Single-parent families and children who illegally enter the country will not be prosecuted, unlike adults.
If a one-parent family or child is found to have illegally entered the country, they may also still claim asylum.
The process of having an asylum claim heard before a judge can take a couple of years. Due to the Department of Homeland Security's inability to hold more than a few thousand people at a time, tens of thousands of people were released into the country in fiscal 2018 and told to appear for immigration court dates in the future.

Mark Meadows Asks FISA Court Judge To Investigate FBI Applications To Spy On Trump Aide
The chairman of the House Freedom Caucus is asking a federal judge to investigate whether the process of granting secret surveillance warrants against American citizens was “weaponized for political means” against the Trump campaign.
“As the Presiding Judge of the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC)], you are privy to information which could potentially verify or contradict our understanding of abuses of the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)] process,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows wrote in a letter Monday to Judge Rosemary Collyer. “Ultimately, to protect the integrity of the process, we believe such an investigation is necessary.”
“We write to encourage you to investigate the possibility FISA has recently been weaponized for political means,” added Meadows, a Republican member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Meadows is one of a handful of lawmakers on a congressional task force investigating the FBI and Department of Justice’s investigation into possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russian government.

Supreme Court accepts case of Maryland war memorial shaped like cross
The case regarding whether or not a Maryland war memorial in the shape of a cross goes against a separation of church and state was accepted for final review by Supreme Court justices on Friday.
The controversial memorial, which stands in Bladensburg, Maryland, was previously deemed to be in violation of the Constitution by a federal appeals court in Virginia, who determined that it “has the primary effect of endorsing religion and excessively entangles the government in religion.”
In petitioning the nation’s highest court to take the case, Maryland officials who maintain the monument, otherwise known as the “Peace Cross,” insisted that what it’s meant to honor proves that its purpose is to portray a secular message of remembrance, not one of religion.
Should the appeals court’s decision be allowed to stand, it could potentially affect hundreds of similar monuments across the country and would force “the removal or dismemberment of a cherished war memorial that has served as a site of solemn commemoration and civic unity for nearly a century,” the officials said.
