Planned Parenthood Instructs Minors on ‘Torture Sex’

Let’s pretend – just for a moment – to believe Planned Parenthood when the nation’s largest abortion mill maintains that the taxpayer money it receives doesn’t go toward the abortion side of its business. We’re still left with the following question:

How much of the $540.6 million in government grants Planned Parenthood received in 2013 went to educate teens on the pleasures of “torture sex?”

You can bet members of congress and the public will want to know. Too bad we can’t say the same for the media.

Pro-life advocacy group Live Action just released a teaser for a video investigation on “Sex Ed: Planned Parenthood’s Dangerous Advice for Kids.” In the video, Planned Parenthood staffers instruct undercover investigators (identified as 15-16 year-olds) on the practices of “torture sex.” Different employees address whipping, gagging, tree tying, asphyxiation, “dominatrix stuff,” handcuffs and rope, along with the resulting “welts across the back” and “maybe some blood.” Live Action published the video as part of a campaign that aims to shut off the abortion giant’s flow of federal funding.

What’s Happening On Route 50 Westbound? Resurfacing Project Will Continue Till August

BERLIN — For the last week or so, residents and visitors traveling on westbound Route 50 from West Ocean City to the Berlin area have experienced lane closures and back-ups with the first phase of the State Highway Administration (SHA) repaving project along the corridor.

Beginning last Wednesday, SHA crews began concrete patching on westbound Route 50 as part of a $1.9 million resurfacing project along the section of the corridor. The resurfacing project will ultimately cover a distance of 5.2 miles along westbound Route 50 from Herring Creek to Route 818, or Berlin’s Main Street extended.

During the first phase, large rectangular sections of deteriorated concrete are being cut out, squared off and poured with new concrete in advance of the larger $1.9 million resurfacing project. That first phase of the project will continue for the next week or 10 days.

New College Grads Are Experiencing Failure to Launch

Half of recent college grads — those who started college in 2007, just before the Great Recession — are still relying on their parents for money, CNN Money reported.

A study by the University of Arizona showed those former students, many of whom graduated during one of the worst economic downturns in U.S. history, are still struggling in ways that could affect the broader economy.

Many of them said their financial situations have caused them to postpone life goals such as getting married, having children or buying a home, CNN Money said.

After Released In Error, Man Convicted Of Armed Robbery In Prison For Life

A man broke his silence from behind bars, speaking out about spending the rest of his life in prison.

Rene Lima-Marin was 19 years old when he robbed two video stores armed with a gun.

He served 10 years and was released in April 2008, but that turned out to be a mistake.

He says the rifle he used in the robberies wasn't loaded, and no one was hurt. But his case was aggressively prosecuted under a program called "Cop," a program which is no longer in use.

Eight convictions led to a 98-year sentence, one he says is excessively harsh for a crime normally carrying four to 16 years.

400 Connecticut Health-Exchange Enrollees’ Information May Be Compromised

The personal information of around 400 health-exchange enrollees may be compromised, according to a statement issued today by Access Health CT CEO Kevin Counihan.

The statement notes that a backpack was recovered in Hartford that held “four notepads with personal information for approximately 400 individuals. The backpack also contained Access Health CT paperwork and it appears as though some of that personal information may be associated with Access Health CT accounts. It is still unclear where the backpack came from, and we are working [with] the Hartford Police Department to investigate, and contact the individuals whose information may be compromised. … Let me be clear: we are sorry this happened. This is a very serious situation and we will hold the person or persons who are responsible to account.”

A massive surge of illegal immigrants is underway, with newly leaked photos revealing hundreds of immigrant children packed like sardines in detention centers.

Illegal immigrant minors are crossing into the U.S., and border patrol is overwhelmed and unable to care for them. The government has been putting them on buses and “dumping” them on street corners in cities like Phoenix, Ariz. Military bases in Texas, California and Oklahoma are also being used to house them.

The problem could reportedly go from bad to worse. Officials say 6,560 unaccompanied minor aliens crossed the border in 2011. This year, it’s estimated that the number will jump to more than 90,000.

Unlike Mexican citizens, illegals from Central America can’t be sent home; they must be turned over to HHS and are released to family and friends.

After Leaked Photos Expose Unaccompanied Child Crisis, Border Patrol Agents Threatened With Firings

Last week, photos surfaced from Texas and Arizona showing Border Patrol processing centers overwhelmed as thousands of unaccompanied children from Central America continue to need shelter and resources. The photos show hundreds of children sleeping in crowded, chain linked cages. Agents have described the situation as a humanitarian crisis.

In response to the leaked images out of Arizona, Patrol Agent in Charge Leslie Lawson is cracking down on the use of personal technology by agents in the Nogales Border Patrol processing center.

"Due to the recent unauthorized use of a personally owned electronic device in the Nogales Processing Center, the use of such devices will be restricted to locations outside of detention areas," Lawson wrote in a June 6 memo to all employees at the Nogales station. "Effective immediately, the use of personally owned cellular phones, cameras, or recording devices in the Nogales Detention Facility and the Nogales Processing Center is strictly prohibited. All personnel working or visiting detention facilities at the Nogales Station will be required to turn off these electronic devices and store them in a locker other secure location prior to entering the detention area."

Just wanted to write for you to warn your readers to avoid the Fenwick Inn in ocean city at ALL costs. More so the disabled folks. 

Two weeks ago My Wife and I made reservations to stay there from June 2- June 5th for our 31st Wedding Anniversary and stated Wife needed to be on lowest level due to handicapped reasons and requested a king size bed. They stated no issues with low level and then advised us a $10 fee for larger bed than listed. For Real ?? My Wife spoke to them on the phone twice to confirm all the details of our stay and all was okay. 

Well on the way to Ocean City on Monday we got a call from the Fenwick stating that they could not work with my Wife's needs and would have to place her in a higher level and was very nasty with her about it and could give no reasons for not letting us know sooner than now, when we spoke to them several times and all was okay. 

When we got to the Ocean we stopped at the Fenwick to see where we stood and the lady at the desk get very rude with My Wife and at that point I requested since they could not meet our needs for my Wife as needed due to handicapped needs that we needed our deposit and would go elsewhere. 

We ended up at the Carousel Hotel 118th Street. We spoke to them about what happened at the Fenwick Inn and fact it was our Anniversary. They went above and beyond meeting our needs and we ended up staying there. 

But it seems that the folks who run the Fenwick Inn cares less about disabled folks and could care less about their needs.Just let your readers know whatever they are told by those at the Fenwick Inn. DO NOT believe what they tell you and be warned about it upfront.

On June 6, 2014 at approximately 16:45hrs a Deputy with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office responded to Wal-mart located at Ocean Gateway in Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland, in reference to theft.

Through further investigation three subjects were identified as suspected shoplifters from Wal-mart they were Darshan Prakash Mendpara, 18, of Burtonsville, Maryland, Austin James Banfield, 18, of Silver Spring, Maryland, and a juvenile from Silver Spring, Maryland.

Mr. Mendpara and Mr. Banfield were charged on Criminal Citations for Theft less than $100.00, and released pending court. The juvenile was charged with theft less than $100.00 and referred to Juvenile Services.

On June 9, 2014 at approximately 1134 hours, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to Old Stage Rd, Bishopville, Worcester County, Maryland, for a 911 hang-up/check welfare call. Through investigation, Worcester County Deputies discovered that an argument and physical altercation had taken place between two females. It was discovered that the victim had attempted to dial 911, when Tierney Mechelle Mumford, 20, of Bishopville, slapped the cell phone out of the victim’s hand. The victim then picked up the house phone and attempted to dial 911, when Ms. Mumford slapped the phone out the victim’s hand, and pushed the victim down. Ms. Mumford was placed under arrest for second degree assault, and was taken before the District Court Commissioner where she was released on personal recognizance pending trial.

The company said that secret wires have been connected to its network and those belonging to competitors, giving government agencies the ability to tap in to phone and broadband traffic. In many countries this is mandatory for all telecoms companies, it said.

Vodafone is today publishing its first Law Enforcement Disclosure Report which will describe exactly how the governments it deals with are eavesdropping on citizens. It is calling for an end to the use of “direct access” eavesdropping and transparency on the number of warrants issued giving access to private data.

OCPD SEEKING PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING CREDIT CARD THEFT SUSPECTS

(June 4, 2014) – The Ocean City Police Department is asking the Ocean City community for assistance in a case involving unauthorized use of a credit card. On June 3^rd, the victim noticed that her purse had been stolen from her vehicle and discovered that multiple fraudulent charges had been made on a credit card. Two suspects, acting together, made fraudulent purchases using the stolen credit card at numerous businesses on or near the Boardwalk.

The first suspect in this case is a heavy set, white female with blonde hair. The second suspect is described as a tall white male with a thin build and dark goatee. Video surveillance of the suspects has been collected by Ocean City officers.

Somers Cove has approximately 550 boat slips for rent. Ten years ago there was a waiting list to rent a slip. As of today there were almost 300 vacant slips! If the people who can afford boating have no disposable income what about the average fellow?

Teen Says He Was Bitten by Shark at State Park in Del.

Delaware officials are investigating a local teen's claim that he was bitten by a shark.

The 16-year-old Delmar boy told officials with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control that the incident took place around 5 p.m. at the Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes.

The teen claimed he was standing in about five feet of water when he felt something grab his arm. The teen said he then used his right arm to flail at what he described as a shark. The shark then let go and swam away, according to the teen.

Maryland's bridge is falling down

If you were trying to get onto I-70 West on Friday evening, as Ken was after speaking up in Harford County, you were probably wondering why it was shut down.

It turns out that the State Highway Administration (SHA) had to close I-70 where it connects to the Baltimore Beltway so they could conduct emergency bridge repairs.

This is what happens when your Governor and Lieutenant Governor and the one-party legislature they command systematically raid the Transportation Trust fund to pay for their out-of-control spending.

They got the calculations wrong, and the bridge fell down (or it was about to).

Won’t you help Ken and me to bring some honesty to your state government?

Thankfully, the SHA caught this problem just in time, and I-70 opened again this morning.

But who knows how many other bridges and overpasses need urgent repairs that O’Malley and Brown failed to build into the budget?

A Lollar-Timmerman administration will make sure scheduled maintenance is done on time, not at the last possible minute.

Your Lieutenant Governor, Ken Timmerman, will be auditing the Transportation Trust Fund to make sure that your tax dollars are spent wisely on their intended purpose, and not frittered away recklessly on billion dollar boondoggles like the Purple Line that benefit small numbers of Marylanders and harm the rest.

But for these things to happen, we need your help now so we can be well equipped to win the June 24 Republican primary.

Frosh, Cardin Combatative In Attorney General Debate

A debate in the Democratic race for attorney general Monday night turned tempestuous as Sen. Brian Frosh and Del. Jon Cardin threw accusations at one another, dominating much of the hour-long discussion.

The third Democrat in the race, Del. Aisha Braveboy of Prince George’s County, escaped the men’s criticism.

Public Notification-ALERT Rapid Response Training to be held in Milford

Milford - The Delaware State Police along with several other Delaware Law Enforcement agencies will be conducting Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, 2014, at the vacant Milford MiddleSchool located at 612 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE.

The training involves both classroom and practical exercises which consists of vital active shooter training, providing an opportunity for law enforcement to practice real world threats in a real world environment to ensure that they are trained and prepared as possible when encountering active shooter incidents.

The Delaware State Police would like area residents to be aware of the five-day training period between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to ease any alarm or concerns they may have when observing an increased law enforcement presence in the area.

Marijuana Located in Teacher’s Vehicle During a Drug Dog Search at Seaford High School

Seaford, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested a Seaford High School teacher after marijuana was located in his parked vehicle on school grounds yesterday afternoon.

On Monday June 9, 2014, troopers assigned Delaware State Police K9 Division as well as a K9 assigned to Dover Police Department were requested by the Seaford School District to conduct a search of the building and vehicles in the parking lot for drugs. The three state police K9s and one Dover PD K9 that are specially trained to detect illegal narcotics, performed the search around 3:00 p.m. with the assistance of school administrators.

While conducting a search in the south parking lot of the school, one of the K9s alerted to the presence of drugs in a Jeep Liberty. School administrators conducted an administrative search of the vehicle with the registered owner, Ryan A. Harris, 33 of Mechanicsburg, PA, present. Located in his Jeep inside a bag were 20.8 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and a glass pipe used to smoke the marijuana. All evidence was turned over to the Delaware State Police School Resource Officer assigned to the high school.

Ryan Harris was then transported to Seaford Police Department where he was formally charged with Possession of Marijuana with an Aggravating Factor (School Zone), and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned at JP3 and released on $1,000.00 unsecured bond.

Cambridge, MD – The board of directors of Baywater Animal Rescue is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Scott-Taylor as Executive Director. She follows Suzette Stitely who is retiring after five years with the organization.

Maureen comes to Baywater with a wealth of experience in both the public and private sector. Over the years she held marketing positions with the Tidewater Inn, Talbot County Chamber of Commerce and Easton Utilities. Woman, 68, And Male Partner Busted For Public Sex At Florida Retirement Community

A 68-year-old woman and her younger paramour were arrested last week for having sex in a town square at a Florida retirement community, police report.

Responding to calls about the 10:30 PM public tryst, sheriff’s deputies discovered Margaret Ann Klemm and David Bobilya, 49, fully engaged in a pavillion at The Villages, a sprawling 55-and-older community in central Florida’s Sumter County.

The couple, cops reported, was “on the stage in the middle of ‘the square’…having sexual intercourse.”

According to investigators, when deputies arrived at Lake Sumter Landing--one of The Villages’s three squares--Klemm (seen at right) was pantsless and had her shirt pulled down. Bobilya’s pants and underwear were at his ankles.

Cops In Texas Seize Millions By ‘Policing for Profit’

Texas law enforcement are continuing to enrich themselves using a little-known legal doctrine known as civil forfeiture, according to a new series of investigative reports. Under civil forfeiture, property can be forfeited even if its owner has never been charged with a crime. In these proceedings, accused criminals have more rights than innocent owners and the government sues the property, not its owner. These cases can be so baffling, one Texas Supreme Court Justice recently compared civil forfeiture to Alice in Wonderland and the works of Franz Kafka. But civil forfeiture isn’t just a quirky curiosity—it’s a powerful incentive for law enforcement to take millions.

Last month, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the District Attorney’s Office in Tarrant County, Texas seized $3.5 million, plus almost 250 cars and 440 computers in fiscal year 2013, roughly equal to about 10 percent of its budget. Of the property seized, almost $845,000 was spent on salaries for 16 employees at the office. By comparison, only $53,000 went to “six nonprofits that benefit victims or prosecution efforts.” The county’s narcotics unit spent an even greater proportion of forfeiture funds on salaries. Last year, the unit seized $666,427 in cash and used $426,058 to pay salaries.

Even more property was forfeited by participating in a federal program known as “equitable sharing.” By partnering with a federal agency, local and state law enforcement can keep up to 80 percent of the proceeds from a forfeited property. Incredibly, police can collaborate even if doing so would circumvent their own states’ protections for property owners.

Audit: Baltimore VA Medical Center Has 81 Day Waiting Period

The average wait time for new patients seeking a primary care doctor at the VA Maryland Health Care System is 81 days, the fourth-longest at facilities examined in a nationwide federal audit released Monday.

The wait is more than five times the 14 days the U.S. Veteran Affairs Department set as guidelines for someone to see a doctor. The department has said the guidelines were inconsistently used throughout the health care system and couldn't be followed because of growing demand for services and a lack of planning for the resources required.

The Maryland system includes the Baltimore and Perry Point VA hospitals as well as the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center. It also includes six outpatient clinics throughout the state at Cambridge, Fort Howard, Fort Meade, Glen Burnie and Pocomoke City.

We have been researching the numbers of livestock on Federal Lands as input for this article. Because BLM Grazing Information is hard to access this should help all interested journalists to understand that while there may be rangeland degradation in Utah, it cannot be blamed on Wild Horses which are vastly outnumbered by cattle and sheep.

The one-time secretary of state, pimping her new book “Hard Choices,” declared in her chapter on the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in Benghazi that “There will never be perfect clarity on everything that happened.”

In the book, Mrs. Clinton takes a defiant tone on the 2012 attacks that left four Americans dead, and mocks the multiple congressional investigations that have followed.

“It is unlikely that there will ever be anything close to full agreement on exactly what happened that night, how it happened, or why it happened. But that should not be confused with a lack of effort to discover the truth or to share it with the American people,” she wrote.

Logic and illogic in education

In two of my collections, The Matrix Revealed and Power Outside The Matrix, I include training in the art of logic and critical analysis.

The basic fact is: students in schools are rarely taught how to follow a line of reasoning from beginning to end. Nor do they practice analyzing half-formed, specious reasoning.

Who teaches young students, these days, how to distinguish between a polemic and a formal argument?

Teachers spend little or no time discussing hidden premises or assumptions, which color subsequent arguments.

Increasingly, people are “learning” from watching videos. Some videos are well done; many others intentionally omit vital data and make inferences based on “shocking images.”

A focused study of logic can illuminate a range of subjects and disciplines. It can suddenly bring perspective to fields of inquiry that were formerly mysterious and impenetrable.

Logic is the parent of knowledge. It contains the principles and methods common to all investigation.

Being able to spot and understand logical flaws and fallacies embedded in an article, essay, book immediately lifts the intelligence level.

Logic isn’t a prison; one isn’t forced to obey its rules. But the ability to deploy it, versus not understanding what it is, is like the difference between randomly hammering at a keyboard and typing coherent paragraphs. It’s the difference between, “I agree with what he’s writing,” and “I know exactly how he’s making his argument.”

Redskins Hire Lobbying Firm to Defend Team Name

After its attempt to fight Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the reputation of its name over social media backfired horribly, Washington’s NFL franchise is taking a more traditional route: It has hired one of K Street’s elite lobbying firms.

The team has retained McGuireWoods Consulting to engage members of Congress in “discussions of team origins, history, and traditions,” according to a lobbying disclosure form that surfaced today.

Members of Congress and their staffs should also prepare to be approached about the team’s charitable efforts, including the recently launched Original Americans Foundation, which donates undisclosed amounts of money to Native American reservations.

Can a New Police Force Turn Around Camden, N.J., One of the Nation's Most Violent Cities?

In hopes of reducing the city's high crime rate, Camden, N.J., made a controversial and unprecedented move a year ago to replace its police force.

At the Community Baptist Church on Mt. Ephraim Avenue in the heart of the Whitman Park neighborhood of Camden, N.J., stained-glass windows are riddled with bullet holes. On a recent Saturday afternoon, pastor David King pointed out street corners near the church where men have been gunned down. Sometimes, he says, people have run inside the sanctuary for safety when drug deals go bad. On the streets of Whitman Park, King says, “there’s like a drug script that never shuts down.”

Whitman Park has become ground zero in the battle to take back one of America’s most crime-plagued cities. For the past several years, the crime rate in Camden, just across the river from Philadelphia, has consistently ranked in the top five nationally. In 2012, Camden saw a record-high murder rate that rivaled national rates of the most dangerous countries. Signs of crime are everywhere. Houses and storefronts sit abandoned. Some of the empty buildings have become hotbeds for drug crime; others serve as makeshift memorials to those who have been killed, with names and dates spray-painted on front porches. A “stop the violence” mural decorates the base of a rusting water tower.

In the face of this violence, Camden did something quite radical: It disbanded its 141-year-old police force. In its place, the surrounding county formed a new police department that it wants to expand to other jurisdictions outside the city. The Camden County Police Department rehired most of the laid-off cops, along with nearly 100 other officers, but at much lower salaries and with fewer benefits than they had received from the city.

Sterling Not Selling Clippers, Suit Is Still On: Lawyer

Donald Sterling says he is not selling the Los Angeles Clippers and is not dropping his $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA, after announcing last week that he had agreed to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

"I have decided that I must fight to protect my rights," Sterling said Monday in a letter obtained by NBC News.

"I love the team and have dedicated 33 years of my life to the organization," he said. "I intend to fight to keep the team."

Despite a challenge to the law in the 2012 general elections, Marylanders of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds came together to defend the DREAM Act at the ballot box, reaffirming our state’s guiding belief in the dignity of every individual. Bob Bergdahl's beard became the most controversial facial hair in all of America, but now critics who accused him of looking like a member of the Taliban can rest easy - he has shaved.

Grown in order to mark the time his son was in captivity as a POW in Afghanistan, neighbors of Bergdahl in Hailey, Idaho, have said that the former UPS truck driver is now clean shaven.

This comes as it was reported that Bowe Bergdahl is still refusing to speak to his family, despite being sent a letter from his sister, as he recovers in an Army hospital in Germany.

GOP: 12 TIMES as many homeless kids cross border since policy shift

Republicans are slamming President Barack Obama for instituting an immigration policy that they say enticed tens of thousands of Central American children to cross America's southern border illegally without any parents to guide them.

Obama rolled out a controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012, allowing many illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as minors to escape deportation for two years. The White House gave them another two-year window last week.

As a result, say some GOP leaders, America's system for handling illegal immigration has been strained to the breaking point and is attracting hundreds of new illegal-immigrant children every day..

Republicans on Capitol Hill are beyond angry.

2 More States Drop Common Core

Two Republican governors, Mary Fallin of Oklahoma and Nikki Haley of South Carolina, have just signed laws pulling their states out of the Common Core State Standards initiative amid growing anti-Core sentiment around the country.

Fallin signed the law on Thursday, while Haley did it last week, joining Indiana in officially rejecting the Core. A few other states, including Florida, are considering whether to keep the standards or have already “rebranded” the standards by changing the name and deciding to create their own standardized tests for accountability purposes rather than use the Core tests now being designed by two multi-state consortia. Fallin, who had once supported the Core, said:

“We cannot ignore the widespread concern of citizens, parents, educators and legislators who have expressed fear that adopting Common Core gives up local control of Oklahoma’s public schools.”
