Attention City & County Public Works Employees

Rob Mulford just called me to let me know the Market Street Inn is in fact open for business this evening. He has hired a company to come in and plow them out and invites all of those people clearing the roadways in Salisbury and the County to stop in for FREE Soup & Coffee.

Rob mentioned the he needs to make use of that monster generator he bought, so stop in for a meal, a drink and or some good old fashioned fellowship. Thanks Rob, I'm sure plenty of people will stop in now that they know you're open for business.

The reality your family has been in for awhile now has both scared me and humbled me at the same time. All the best for you & yours man. All the best. And doing this for the workers who are out in the trenches dealing with this is way cool.

Anyone that goes out for a drink tonight needs to seriously consider attending an AA meeting--why would anyone make their employees come to work in this blizzard? Not too smart in my opinion, Mr. Mulford.

That's awesome! Way to go Rob!

dinosaur, or should I say, Idiot? They're offering FOOD, they serve FOOD. Are you Barrie Tilghman? Liquid meals are not good for you, especially in this weather. Go there and get something to eat, he's the ONLY business open in Town. Very Smart Mr. Mulford.

Yeah Barrie, some people do go to restaurants to eat.

I'm sure Rob is not forcing his employees to work but offering them a days wage if they so desire it.

I wish I had a snow mobile shuttle business to pick people up and take them home to get out and away from the cabin fever. I'd make a mint!

Anyway thanks to you road guys and it's good of rob to offer you a warm place to stop with some really good free grub.

Hey Joe--"or should I say idiot?" My comment was that it is not a good night for anyone to go out and drive on these roads, and particularly just to have dinner. I also think its not so good to require his employees to have to go to work in such conditions. PS: I'm definately NOT Barrie Tilghman--how did that get in there?

Rob, your always there giving back. I admire you for how you treat others, especially during this past year with what you've dealt with with Brooke. I never met you until Brooke got sick. Now whenever I'm out and in the downtown area you get my business. God is looking down on you with a smile.

Enjoy your AA meeting dino-numb-nuts. Market Street is PACKED and EVERY employee is thankful to Rob for helping them to MAKE MONEY!!!
note: NO ONE was FORCED to come to work.

I actually appreciate the fact that he is open. He is giving back to the community that has given to him. I know the guys on the road appreciate it. Shame that someone does something good for people and it gets criticized. I'm sure that he would gladly pick up and take any of his employees home.

I worked for Rob for 3 years. My wife and I met there, had our rehearsal dinner there. Rob treats his employees like his own. I'll tell you this, if none of his employees showed up or called out because they had no way of getting there, he would be there waiting on tables, cooking the food, doing the dishes as well as all the other managerial work that he does. He is by far, the best boss I have ever worked for. He is an amazing man who deserves all the support the community has given him over the last year. And now he is just giving a little back. Way to go Rob. You are truly an amazing man.

The last thing the city needs right now are more people out on the road, liquid diet or not! if it's not an emergency STAY AT HOME. let the road crews clear the roads and let the rest of emergency services do what they need to do without having to worry about you sliding off the road!

Rob is a great guy and is probably there doing most of the work himself. He does not know anything else other than to keep busy and takes pride in giving back to the community. He is not the type of person who would expect his employees to come to work. Maybe some of them live nearby and have 4-wheel drive and offered to go in to make some money. Rob would do this from the bottom of his big heart, not to make money. Way to go Rob! What a kind thing to do! Signed, An old friend from college who has stood by you in the past on website where people made ridiculous comments.

This is very nice, but the emergency workers may be all that can show. People have been asked to stay off the roads to avoid creating hassles for emergency personnel. Also, our cars are snowed in to the hilt.

There are some people who find something bad with every act of kindness. Why cant' we all get along and help each other which would make for such a nice world to live in as opposed to what we have now with only a few random acts of kindness. The trouble is most people who have accumulated any wealth do not want to share with the rest of the population. So sad. What a shock when they find out they can't take it with them in the end. Then we all will have the same.
