Suspect(s) Sought After Shots Fired Into Somerset Co. Home

(WESTOVER, MD) — Maryland State Police are seeking help from the public as they attempt to identify the person or persons responsible for shooting into an occupied home in Somerset County early this morning.

Just after 5:00 a.m. today, Maryland State Police from the Princess Anne Barrack responded to a home in the 8100-block of River Road, Westover, Md., after a man living there reported his residence had been shot at. Responding troopers found neither of the two occupants in the home had been injured, but the residence had been struck by gunfire.

The victim, a 55-year-old man who is not being identified at this time, told troopers he and his mother live in the residence. He said at about 5:00 a.m. today, he was asleep on a sofa in the living room when he heard multiple loud ‘pops’ outside his home. He then noticed what appeared to be bullet holes in his living room walls.

Looking out the window, the victim reported seeing a sedan leaving the area with red rectangular tail lights, each that appeared to be divided into three sections. The vehicle was last seen headed north on River Road.

Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division crime scene technicians responded and processed the scene, collecting evidence from inside and outside the home. Investigators from the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division responded and are conducting the ongoing investigation. Neighbors in the area told investigators they heard the shots fired this morning. Additional interviews are continuing.

Anyone with information about this shooting is urged to contact Maryland State Police at the Princess Anne Barrack immediately at 443-260-3700, or msp.princessanne@maryland.gov. Callers may remain anonymous.

Is it Really Just About the Cake?

By Thornton Crowe

Imagine a society where photographers, web designers and videographers were forced by law, to work for the porn industry. And should they choose not to accept these clients, they can be sued out of business!

The media would have you believe this cake baker suit before the Supreme Court is a pristine example of discrimination against the LGBT community, but that's simply rubbish.

America, if you remember, was started by many groups with a variety of reasons. Some came here to exploit the new land for money, while others came here because they were criminals in exile. However, one of the big reasons for the Northeastern colonies was a group escaping religious oppression in England. They didn't want to be aligned with the King's Church of England. They sought religious freedom, to worship the way they saw fit. Hence, why this right is very first Amendment in our Constitution! Make sense?

Whether a same-sex marriage or not, this case isn't about cake - it's about freedom of religion and speech...

The case could very well turn out to be our contemporary Roe v. Wade because it will determine whether or not business owners have a right to refuse service based on their personal conscience and beliefs. Not only does this hit the Religious Freedom, it also touches Free Speech. Christian baker Jack Phillips has turned this seemingly nuisance case into a legitimate fight to retain our First Amendment Constitutional right!

Show us the legal damages... or is it just a way for judicial activism to persecute Christians?

In reality, the same-sex couple had several other choices but they chose to make a big hoopla out of this one baker refusing service. Sounds like politics was more important to Charlie Craig and David Mullins than their wedding. Its always suspect when cases like this go to court because people - especially liberals - like to use the justice system as a method to validate their lifestyle or highlight some perceived injustice instead of what the court system is designed to do: find remedies for injured (civil suit) parties.

Frankly, the fact Phillips didn't bake their cake leaves no real injury for Craig and Mullins because they did get married. Hence, this begs one has to wonder why this case wasn't dismissed on the lower court level. In short, this is nothing more than judicial activism trying to, once again, dictate behavior through legal machinations.

Food for Thought: The same law that now protects a lesbian waitress for refusing service to that crazy gay-hating Westboro church member also protects Christians from baking cakes they don't want to make!

The oral arguments were heard last Tuesday and Justice Kennedy's questioning Colorado's tolerance toward Phillips is a good sign he's leaning towards his Constitution-loving contemporaries. Many have legal speculation has predicted we're looking at a 5-4 vote in the baker's favor, so let's keep the faith!

Fundamental disagreement does not constitute discrimination...

And that, my friends, is the true nexus of this case!

We should thank our lucky stars for a patriot like Jack Phillips, who had the perseverance and wherewithal to take this all the way to the Supreme Court instead of just lying down and taking the tyrannical opinion of the Colorado court system. It would've been so very easy to do the latter, indeed!

How say you?

Delmar's Gal Pal Fight Club

By Thornton Crowe

"Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Looking at the post from earlier this week, it is stunning to read the comments where people are actually defending the trouble-making fighters and lashing out at everyone who suggests these girls are responsible for their own actions. How is this not an indictment of not only our school system but our truculent society on the whole?

One comment was stirring when they suggested these "animals walk among us in stores..." because most people I know are ultra-cautious now days - especially during the Christmas season where predators lurk the malls, waiting for an opportunity to rob and assault shoppers. It is a sad situation that warrants law enforcement attention; however, with the ineffectual legislature to charge these kids as adults on a more constant basis, it is a moot point. The police can only go so far and the parents, much like LaVar Ball, often defend their child's criminal actions instead of exacting their own punishment.

When one looks to our legal system, minors are treated with kid gloves and then we're left with the criminals who are reared on victimhood and false perceptions about how the world works. Look at shows like Scared Straight, where the teens taken to the state penitentiary for the day, have no problem mouthing off to people - some of which who've killed others - and they don't scare easily. In fact, on many of the follow-ups, we find the experience didn't dissuade the teen from committing crime at all.

Is this also a prime example as to why the Federal Conceal and Carry is also a good idea at this point in our history. If they don't know who is or who is not packing heat, chances are they'll temper their mouths and actions. However, there will always be some who feel they're invincible.

The question as far as area schools are concerned is, what are the schools and the WCBOE going to do about this steady rise of school bullies who are creating a Fight Club environment? This is hardly a place where good kids can get an education in anything but fighting and all the wrong ways to settle disputes.

As for the poor-pitiful-victim commenters, your bully tactics are weak and mundane at best, especially done on a blog so why bother? You're just wasting your time. There's nothing you can say that can defend or justify the two girls in that video or their violent tendencies. There are more ways to solve differences without using violence. Shame on you for even trying!

Here's What I Made This Weekend

With all the stray cats running around on the Shore, I wanted to come up with something to keep the little ones warm and out of the rain and snow.

So I went to the fishing part of WalMart and bought a Styrofoam cooler. I then went over to their plastic tub area and simply fit the cooler inside. The size needs to include being able to put the plastic lid on top with the Styrofoam cooler inside, (excluding the foam lid).

I then took a new razor knife and cut the hole in the plastic tub. I then placed the Styrofoam cooler inside and used a marker to mark the hole. I then used the razor knife to cut the next hole.

This is a very inexpensive process, $6.70 total. My outside cats wasted no time getting in each one of them. You can use pine needles to line the bottom. It should be very easy to clean whenever necessary.  Some put a brick on top to weigh it down.

Man Puts Gun To Pastors Head Demanding Money In Princess Anne

This week an African American man walked into St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Princess Anne, put a gun to the head of the Preacher and demanded money. The Preacher, (in front of several people) immediately stated, In the name of Jesus Christ I demand you leave. The man immediately walked out, Thank God.

FIGHT- Kid Approaching Police Officer At Tupelo Mall Turns Into MADNESS

What No One Is Talking About With Mayor Day's Roundabout

It's simple, how will people get through the intersection when they start construction?

It never ceases to amaze me how your local media ignore the most important topic, as if they simply don't want you talking about it.

Not only have our viewers gone viral in comments here showing their belief that this is just a stupid idea and a waste of taxpayer money, Day is using his rubber stamp media to simply ignore the masses.

Much like the $100,000.00 Day is gifting an after school program with an individual who has FAILED at other similar programs they have been involved in. Day would've been wise to structure the funding similar to how you pay a contractor, in stages. PROVE you can accomplish each stage and you get the funding. However, Liberals just do what they want with no accountability.

Nevertheless, traffic is already bad at this proposed roundabout intersection, what will you do when the construction starts?

Notice They Never Mentioned Dan Satterfield At WBOC

Delmar '13 Graduate/ University of Delaware '17 Graduate (with a B.S. in Meteorology/ Climatology) and former Delmar FFA Chapter President, Alex Seymore, now a WBOC Meteorologist, joins Mike Lichniak in sharing the WBOC Weather Report Card of Delmarva's 1st Winter Storm 2017 Forecasting.

Looks like WBOC is following WMDT's lead by hiring very young and very inexperienced people. Now we can all understand where Jake Day got the idea to hire young too.

Just Remember, Trump Didn't Have To Run...

Trump accusers band together

Three women, who previously have accused President Trump of sexual misconduct, banded together Monday to call for a congressional investigation into the president – in what could be an opening effort to shift the sexual harassment spotlight from Congress to the White House.

The women revived their allegations during a press conference and television interview in New York City.

“I ask Congress to put aside their party affiliations and ask that they investigate Trump’s history of sexual misconduct,” Rachel Crooks said during a press conference in New York City Monday.

Crooks gave a detailed account of her story, accusing Trump of kissing her on the lips when she was a receptionist at a company in Trump Tower when she was 22 years old.

Samantha Holvey, a former Miss USA pageant contestant, alleged that during one pageant, Trump came backstage to where the contestants were in hair and make-up in bathrobes.

“He lined us up, and I thought this was going to be like a meet and greet, like ‘hi, how are ya, nice to meet you,’ it was not,” Holvey said on NBC. “He was just looking me over like I was a piece of meat, I was not a human being, I didn’t have a brain, I didn’t have a personality.

BREAKING NEWS: PETE RICHARDSON PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING

Born on December 31, 1949

I'm absolutely blown away with this news. Pete Richardson was an incredible Family Man and Businessman. I've purchased items from Pete for the past 20 years, including our west Ocean City home through Pete Richardson Auctions. I'm sure many of you have similar stories.

One thing most of you may not know is that Pete is the biggest land owner in Wicomico County. I was shocked and saddened to receive the message that Pete had passed away this morning. In fact, I didn't believe it because I had just held a conversation with him recently.

To the Richardson Family, Jennifer and I offer you our sincere condolences. Rest In Peace Pete.

Some People Just Aren't Destined For A College Education, Free or Not!

It seems some Liberals are furious with the Wicomico County Council wanting to raise the qualified grade average for FREE College from 2.0 to 2.5.

Look, you are either interested in an education or you're not. A 2.0 grade average means you really aren't interested, period. Most students with such a low grade average do NOT remain in school and in fact drop out. This is a waste of taxpayer money.

Raising the grade average to 2.5 gives high school students an incentive to work that much harder. Keep in mind, all of you, Wor-Wic goes through MANY different channels for alternative funding before FREE college is available. Most believe just anyone can get a free education and that just isn't true at all. Most do not! Wor-Wic provides help in assisting many interested students apply for all kinds of funding/opportunities they did no know were available.

Starting the program at 2.0 was a great start but I agree with the County Council in raising it to 2.5.

YOU MAKE THE CALL ON THIS ONE...

I don't know much about the Fingerlings. What I have found out is they sell for $14.99 in the stores. Seems this guy has gone around and bought out the stores and is selling them for $75.

Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies Under Fire for “Caucasian Cheer”

A lot of our readers enjoy watching The Hallmark Channel. It’s a throwback to an age when Hollywood was producing family-friendly films.

The network consistently broadcasts movies that have narratives promoting faith, family and patriotism — stories that tug at your heartstrings.

Viewership has skyrocketed since President Trump was elected — up 16 percent since January. It’s obvious that television viewers crave programming that celebrates the values that make America great.

But not everyone is a fan of The Hallmark Channel.

Slate published a scathing review of the network — complaining about its around-the-clock Christmas movies.

“They brim with white heterosexuals who exclusively, emphatically, and endlessly bellow “Merry Christmas” to every lumberjack and labradoodle they pass. They’re centered on beauty-pageant heroines and strong-jawed heroes with white-nationalist haircuts,” the Slate writer declared.

There were complaints about the lack of gay people and feminists and Muslims in The Hallmark Channel’s movies.

Slate also whined about what it called the network’s “42 hours of sugary, sexist, preposterously plotted, plot hole–festooned, belligerently traditional, ecstatically Caucasian cheer.”

“The Christmas-down-your-throat bombast, holly-jolly sexism, the characters’ zaniness and unyielding impulsiveness—it’s all very Trumpian behavior,” the Slate writer said.

A Viewer Writes: City of Salisbury Maryland Employees Abusing Taxpayers

The city should get someone to sit in the Wawa parking lot taking pictures of the numerous city vehicles in and out of here taking their "breaks." Many of them parking in the Fire Lanes illegally, many eating full breakfasts, many coming through multiple times for coffee. They drive across town, place their order, wait for it and then 20 or 30 minutes later they leave. I know they are entitled to a break but does that mean they should drive to Wawa to take their breaks while on the clock and burning gas or diesel.

Surprisingly it's rarely the PD. Mostly is tucks like public works workers and you know who else. Here's a thought. Why aren't secretaries and most office staff allowed to get in their cars allowed to get in their cars and drive to Wawa for their break, if they even get one. These same city workers are here every single work day and it's a part of their daily routine. They have been doing this routine for years because I have seen some of the same ones.

I just stopped by Wawa and I just saw 3 trucks and multiple employees on the same side I'm parked on and no telling who is on the other side. It's late morning if that gives you an idea. Their day starts at 8 am and there is usually several here then getting breakfast before they start work.

At 10:58 am these 2 pulled up, (above). It's all morning long M-F if not all day long.

Maryland State Police Arrest Man On Fentanyl Distribution Charges

(SALISBURY, Md.) – Maryland State Police arrested a man linked to a multi-state fentanyl distribution operation.

Narada Michael Walls, 37, is charged with manufacturing, distributing and possessing controlled dangerous substances. He is being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center pending a bond review hearing on Dec. 18.

Kim Jong Un's top aide executed by North Korean death squad, reports suggest

A key member of Kim Jong Un's inner circle touted as a powerful military figure mysteriously vanished from public life recently, sparking rumors he was executed by a North Korean death squad after allegations of bribery, recent reports indicated.

Hwang Pyong-so, a vice marshal who held the most senior position in North Korea’s military, hasn’t been seen in public since Oct. 13, sparking rumors of his death.

Kim has previously dispatched his enemies via a variety of gruesome methods, including shooting them with anti-aircraft weaponry at a close distance and feeding them to a pack of ravenous dogs.

News about Hwang’s troubles within Kim’s regime emerged in mid-November, when South Korea’s spy agency reported the top aide and his deputy, Kim Won-hong, were expelled from the military’s General Politico Bureau and “punished,” Yonhap News Agency reported.
