Doctors Condemning ‘Green New Deal’ Select President Donald Trump for Defense of Freedom Award

An organization of physicians that has praised President Donald Trump for withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accord is granting him its highest honor: the award for Defense of Freedom.

Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP), a group based in Tucson, Arizona, will honor the president at its annual meeting July 19-21.

The organization, which has condemned the Green New Deal, global warming, human-caused climate change, the banning of DDT, and other “environmental scares,” states its Edward Teller Award for the Defense of Freedom recognizes “extensive, selfless, and effective work in defense of our nation.”

No Injuries In Small Plane Crash In Ocean City

(OCEAN CITY, MD) — No one was injured when a small plane crash landed in the water off the beach in Ocean City early this evening.

The pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft is identified as Trevor H. Deihl, 23, of Reedville, Va. He reported he was uninjured after the crash.

According to the preliminary investigation, witness said they were on the beach at 20th Street about 6:15 p.m., when they saw a single engine airplane crash into the ocean about one-quarter mile from the shoreline. Witnesses said the plane appeared to glide toward the water as it descended and then float on the surface of the ocean when it landed. The plane then floated in toward the beach.

Personnel from the Ocean City Beach Patrol and the Ocean City Police Department immediately responded to the scene. Maryland State Police responded to the scene after being notified by the Ocean City Police Department. Officials from the Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Natural Resources Police, U.S. Coast Guard, National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were notified.

The airplane is a single engine 1981 Cessna 172 RG, owned by the pilot. Deihl told troopers he had taken off from Reedville, VA and had planned to land at the Ocean City Airport. He said he was about one mile off shore when he began having engine trouble and ultimately glided the plane into the ocean.

The investigation is continuing.

Peter Thiel: FBI, CIA Must Investigate ‘Treasonous’ Google

Billionaire investor, Facebook board member, and Trump supporter Peter Thiel recently called on the FBI and CIA to investigate Google for the “seemingly treasonous” act of aiding the Chinese military.

Axios reports that Peter Thiel, the billionaire Silicon Valley investor, Facebook board member, and longtime supporter of President Donald Trump, called on the FBI and CIA to investigate Google for allegedly aiding the Chinese military during his speech at the recent National Conservatism Conference.

During the speech, Thiel noted “three questions that should be asked” by the federal government of tech giant Google:

Number one, how many foreign intelligence agencies have infiltrated your Manhattan Project for AI?

Number two, does Google’s senior management consider itself to have been thoroughly infiltrated by Chinese intelligence?

Number three, is it because they consider themselves to be so thoroughly infiltrated that they have engaged in the seemingly treasonous decision to work with the Chinese military and not with the US military… because they are making the sort of bad, short-term rationalistic [decision] that if the technology doesn’t go out the front door, it gets stolen out the backdoor anyway?

WATCH: Worship Group Breaks Out Singing ‘Lean on Me’ at Chick-fil-A

An enthusiastic praise and worship a cappella group belted out a rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me” in a Nashville Chick-fil-A this month, much to the delight of customers and workers.

Jake Jones, who initially posted the video on July 4, showed dozens who were a part of the Acappella Ministries’ Worship Leader Institute 2019 break out into the song, prompting both customers and staffers to join in on the fun.

“Whenever you get a group of a cappella worship leaders together it’s hard for us not to sing together,” Jones told Fox News, adding that the song was arranged in a four-part harmony.

The singing and clapping inside that Nashville Chick-fil-A soon went viral, amassing nearly one million views as of Monday.

Former Obama Officials Admit Trump Admin Didn’t Delay Tubman $20 Bill

Despite numerous liberal politicians and pundits excoriating the Trump administration for delaying the Harriet Tubman $20 bill, former Obama administration officials recently revealed there was no actual delay.

The Trump administration announced in May that it would not replace President Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Tubman by the 2020 deadline announced by the Obama administration. "The primary reason we've looked at redesigning the currency is for counterfeiting issues. Based upon this, the $20 bill will now not come out until 2028," Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin explained during a congressional hearing.

The "delay" was blasted by a number of high-profile Democratic politicians, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who called it "unnecessary" and "an insult to the hopes of millions."

FLASHBACK: Obama said in 2014 crime and poverty not enough for asylum claim

President Barack Obama said in 2014 that seeking asylum in the United States was "narrowly defined," and likely wouldn't apply to most people seeking asylum at the southern border. He said in a press conference, "Under U.S. law, we admit a certain number of refugees from all around the world based on some pretty narrow criteria. Typically, refugee status is not granted just based on economic need or because a family lives in a bad neighborhood or poverty. It's typically defined, fairly narrowly. You have a state, for example, that was targeting a political activist and they need to get out of the country for fear of prosecution or even death."

Obama's interpretation of U.S. immigration and asylum law contradicts the feelings of many current Democratic lawmakers who have called for the decriminalization of unauthorized border crossings, the closing of migrant detention centers, and the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Obama further stated of the migrants at the southern border, "There may be some narrow circumstances in which there is a humanitarian or refugee status that a family might be eligible for. If that were the case, it would be better for them to apply in-country, rather than take a very dangerous journey all the way up to Texas to make those same claims. But, I think it's important to recognize that would not necessarily accommodate a large number of additional migrants."

Biden cancer nonprofit suspends operations

WASHINGTON — A nonprofit foundation set up by Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden that relied on health care world partnerships to speed a cure for cancer has suspended its operations, it announced Monday.

The Biden Cancer Initiative’s sudden move to cease its activities comes two years after it was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife, Jill, as a philanthropic extension of Biden’s stewardship of the White House Cancer Moonshot program. Biden, who on Monday was detailing his health care plan , headed the Obama administration effort to accelerate a cancer cure in tribute to his son Beau, who died of the disease in 2015.

The nonprofit promoted nearly 60 partnerships with drug companies, health care firms, charities and other organizations that pledged more than $400 million to improve cancer treatment.

WATCH: Ex-ICE director explodes at Dem Rep who exploits children to score political points

Tom Homan, former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, unloaded on Rep. Jesus "Chuy" Garcia (D-Ill.), who exploited children in an attempt to score political points during a contentious House Oversight Committee hearing on Friday.

When it was Garcia's turn to question Homan, he launched a half-dozen politically charged questions at the career-ICE official. He said:
Mr Homan, do you understand that the consequences of separation of many children will be lifelong trauma and carried across generations? Have we not learned from the interment of Japanese Americans? Mr. Homan, I'm a father. Do you have children? How can you possibly allow this to happen under your watch? Do you not care? Is it because these children don't look like children that are around you? I don't get it. Have you ever held a deceased child in your arms?

Former Chief of Eastern Shore Volunteer Fire Department Pleads Guilty and is Sentenced to 60 Years in Federal Prison for Attempted Enticement of a Minor

Baltimore, Maryland – U.S. District Judge George L. Russell, III today sentenced James Morris, Jr., age 70, of Cordova, Maryland, to 60 years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor. Morris pleaded guilty to that charge today. Judge Russell also ordered that, upon his release from prison, Morris must register as a sex offender in the places where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). As detailed in his plea agreement, Morris admitted that his sexual abuse of minor victims spanned several decades, including during the time when he was Chief of the Cordova Volunteer Fire Department. The victims reported that they met Morris in a variety of ways, including through his role as a bus driver for the Talbot County Public Schools and as a Little League umpire.

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Robert K. Hur; Talbot County State’s Attorney Scott G. Patterson; Acting Special Agent in Charge Cardell T. Morant of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Baltimore; and Colonel William M. Pallozzi, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police.

President Trump takes more action to stop the surge of illegal immigration

President Trump took action today to stop illegal immigrants from using meritless asylum claims as a free pass to illegally enter our country.

The Administration’s new rule will make aliens ineligible for asylum if they passed through another country on their way to our border without applying for protection. These asylum-seekers will be required to demonstrate that they applied for protection in at least one country and were denied before they can obtain such status in the United States.

Our asylum system has been used as a loophole by aliens to gain entry into the United States and remain here indefinitely—even though their claims are often meritless. The median asylum grant rate across all immigration courts is about 11 percent.

“Until Congress can act, this interim rule will help reduce a major 'pull' factor driving irregular migration to the United States and enable DHS and DOJ to more quickly and efficiently process cases originating from the southern border, leading to fewer individuals transiting through Mexico on a dangerous journey,” Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said in a statement.

Higher, stronger: Construction of new White House fence begins

Sheets of plywood, now stacked on Pennsylvania Avenue at the northwest corner of the White House grounds, will soon serve as construction fencing while a taller, stronger steel fence goes up.

The U.S. Secret Service and National Park Service are building the new fence surrounding the 18-acre White House campus, starting with one of the most-photographed views of the nation’s capital: the front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.

Monday morning, construction materials were covered in plastic, and in neatly stacked boxes, before the temporary fencing is built surrounding the first stretch where the current fence will be removed.

The current fence is 6 feet 6 inches tall, and will be replaced by an approximately 13 feet tall fence with wider and stronger steel fence posts.

It’s all about ‘Made in America’

It’s all about ‘Made in America’

It’s Made in America Day, and President Donald J. Trump celebrated by hosting his third annual Made in America Showcase—an exhibition on the White House lawn of manufacturers from all 50 states.

“Washington used to say these jobs weren’t coming back. They were wrong!” Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted this afternoon.

🎬 Watch: Handmade motorcycles straight from America’s heartland!

President Trump is making sure that Americans’ own Federal Government continues to put them first, as well. Earlier today, he signed an executive order to strengthen requirements under the Buy American Act, which creates a preference for American-made goods in important Federal purchases.

“The philosophy of my Administration is simple: If we can build it, grow it, or make it in the United States, we will,” he said.

Businesses both big and small and from a wide range of industries showcased their incredible work at the White House today. On display were Zippo lighters made in Pennsylvania, Airstream trailers made in Ohio, Buck Knives made in Idaho, and Nokona baseball gloves made in Texas.

“When we choose American-made, something truly wonderful happens: Our communities thrive and flourish, our neighborhoods bustle with commerce, our children dream bigger and bolder, and the bonds of loyalty that unite us as citizens become closer,” the President said.

President Trump is ushering in a new age of American manufacturing as factories roar back to life and blue-collar workers thrive. Manufacturing job growth soared to a more than two-decade high in 2018, bringing opportunity to communities that had been left behind. The future looks even brighter: Manufacturer optimism has skyrocketed under President Trump, reaching a new record high last year.

Dems Quiet on Whether Their Own Student Loan Debt Should be Forgiven

Just ONE of the 41 Democrat members of Congress who owe student loan debt said they'd support adding an exemption to student loan forgiveness legislation that would ensure they don't benefit from it.

The Washington Free Beacon asked each of the 41 Democrat offices on Tuesday whether they would support adding an exemption to make members of Congress ineligible from benefiting from taxpayer-funded student debt relief. Only one, Rep. Dan Soto (D., Fla.), said yes.

"Yes, Rep. Soto would be in favor of exempting members of Congress," said Oriana Piña, his communications director.

According to House and Senate financial disclosures, 63 members of Congress have student loan debt totaling between $2.3 and $5.9 million. Of these members, 41 Democrats account for 70 percent of total congressional student debt.

Andrew Gillum Using Dark Money to ‘Flip Florida Blue’ by Registering 1 Million Voters

In an effort to register 1 million new voters in Florida ahead of the 2020 presidential election, failed Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has shifted tactics from using a political committee required to report every expenditure to a private nonprofit that can disclose much less financial data, including the sources of donations.

Gillum’s use of the nonprofit, calling itself Forward Florida Action is notable, given the Florida politician’s warning last February about the influence of “dark money” in his own race for governor, referring to entities that obscure their donors. Gillum is deploying his nonprofit for the voter registration drive instead of utilizing his political committee, Forward Florida.

The Tampa Bay Times first reported on Gillum’s shift in financial tactics, saying:

Gillum moved $500,000 from the political committee to the nonprofit last month, according to campaign finance reports filed Wednesday.

What Gillum does with that money will largely be shielded from public view. Unlike his political committee, which is required to itemize every expenditure and report it to the state each month, the nonprofit does not have to disclose its spending.

Nor will the nonprofit have to account for where it gets its money. The organization’s annual tax documents will be public, but those include far less information and it will be more than a year before they’re made available.

The change came after the Tampa Bay Times reported in May that the FBI had subpoenaed records related to his 2018 gubernatorial campaign. This after Gillum’s time as Tallahassee mayor was tied to an FBI probe into city hall corruption, a federal investigation that involved undercover FBI agents going on trips with Gillum.

‘ANARCHY’: GOP Releases Brutal New Campaign Ad Against ‘The Squad’

The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a brutal new campaign ad on Tuesday against the four far-left congresswomen who many say are driving the agenda of the Democratic Party.

The video starts by showing socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) engaging in Holocaust trivialization by falsely claiming that immigrant detention facilities are "concentration camps" — a remark that was condemned by multiple Jewish organizations and Holocaust survivors.

The video goes on to show Saturday's domestic terrorist attack on an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington, where the attacker allegedly wrote multiple times in his manifesto about the "concentration camps."

Kamala's Peak Hypocrisy Centers Around Jeffrey Epstein...And A Fundraiser?

California Sen. Kamala Harris (D) chided Kirkland and Ellis, a Chicago-based law firm, that represented Jeffrey Epstein when he was accused of sexual abuse.

Here's the kicker: the same day Harris went after the law firm, her husband, Douglas Emhoff, headlined a fundraiser in Chicago for his wife's campaign. And guess who the main hosts were? That's right. The six partners of Kirkland and Ellis.

"In our democracy, no one—no matter how powerful or well-connected—is above the law," Harris said in a statement. "Yet Epstein’s deal, secured by his lawyers at Kirkland and Ellis, calls into question the integrity of our legal system and undermines the public’s confidence that justice will be served."

Influential Democrat: Why Is Our Party Supporting Criminal Illegal Aliens?

One of New Jersey’s most influential Democrats is expressing concern over the Democrat Party’s broad support for illegal immigration and an open border.

George Norcross, considered the leading unelected Democrat in the state of New Jersey, questioned last year why the Democrat Party has taken the extreme positions of supporting illegal aliens, including those who commit crimes against Americans, and an open border.

“I have at times told people in Washington, whether it was Majority Leader Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi: ‘Why is the Democratic Party supporting criminals that are here illegally,'” Norcross said in the interview that was resurfaced recently by The Intercept.

Nearly every Democrat running for president has announced support for providing all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens with free health care that American taxpayers would be forced to pay for.

The RNC Just Torched Ocasio-Cortez And Her 'Squad's' Presser By Rehashing All The Things That Back Up What Trump Said About Them

This crew was throwing punches at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but President Trump decided to insert himself into the intra-Democratic Party conflict, telling the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of the party that they can leave if they’re unhappy with America. That set off a meltdown across the liberal media establishment. The accusations of racism and xenophobia were hurled once again. After hours of simmering, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said they weren’t going to take Trump’s bait, but then decided to chomp down hook, line, and sinker, with Omar wholeheartedly endorsing the impeachment of Donald trump solely on the basis that he beat Hillary Clinton and didn’t like what he said about them on Twitter. Yes, they peddled the same trash liberal talking points, but impeachment seems to be their main unveiling, which isn’t a shocker, while reaffirming the progressive left that they’re still feisty.

Millennial Writer Cries at Work, Puts Mother on Speakerphone after Editor Corrects Her Spelling

How does a boss manage a worker who believes their feelings trump reality, right down to the way she "feels" about her misspelled words?

Gently. And probably badly, even though that's no fault of the boss in question.

Carol Blymire -- a "communications and public policy executive, branding consultant, professor, writer" -- took to Twitter on Friday to tell the story she overheard of a young writer, probably "in her late 20s," going over edits with her boss.

What issue caused mentor and student such agitation and aggravation? Had the boss been needlessly cruel? Had the young writer pushed some radical agenda, and was refusing to tamp it down a bit? Hardly. They were arguing over how to spell "hamster." You know, the little furry rodents some people keep in one of those winding Habitrail cages.

Documentary Exposes Far-Left Propaganda in Schools

Independent filmmaker Michael Hansen has a new documentary out titled Killing Free Speech. It features internal emails from a New Jersey school showing teachers pushing political propaganda in the wake of President Trump’s travel ban.

The documentary shows a teacher encouraging colleagues to wear hijabs and/or burkas, and distribute pamphlets in solidarity with Muslims to protest Trump’s policies — even though the White House’s restrictions on travel from countries, erroneously described as a “Muslim ban” by his opponents in the media, includes North Korea, a non-Muslim country.

Hansen interviews the school principal who claims to know nothing about the agitation, even though Hansen obtains staff emails showing she had been made aware of it.

Part one of Hansen’s documentary, which features the investigation, can be watched in full below. Part two is scheduled for release later this year.

Queen Anne’s looks to limit balloon releases

“Up, up and away, my beautiful, my beautiful balloon…,” sang the 5th Dimension back in the Age of Aquarius. But today the plethora of balloons being released into the atmosphere is becoming an environmental and wildlife hazard.

And some folks in Queen Anne’s County are hoping to do their bit to curb releasing those non-biodegradable helium filled orbs aloft.

A bill was submitted to the Queen Anne’s County Board of Commissioners last week to outlaw their release, and slap a $250 fine on those who purposely let them fly into the atmosphere.

The bill, introduced by Commissioner Christopher Corchiarino, is backed by the Eastern Shore’s oldest environmental organization, the Queen Anne’s Conservation Association.

American-made products used for government projects currently can contain 50 percent foreign components and still be considered American, Trump said.

He signed an executive order boosting the percentage of American components to 75 percent.

A Farm Kid Writes Home After Joining The Marines.

Dear Ma and Pa:

I am well. Hope you are. Tell Brother Walt and Brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before all of the places are filled.

I was restless at first because you get to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m. But I am getting so I like to sleep late.

Tell Walt and Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot, and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing.

Men got to shave but it is not so bad, there’s warm water. Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc., but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie and other regular food, but tell Walt and Elmer you can always sit by the two city boys that live on coffee. Their food, plus yours, holds you until noon when you get fed again. It’s no wonder these city boys can’t walk much.

We go on “route marches,” which the platoon sergeant says are long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it’s not my place to tell him different. A route march is about as far as to our mailbox at home. Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks.

The Sergeant is like a school teacher. He nags a lot. The Captain is like the school board. Majors and Colonels just ride around and frown. They don’t bother you none.
This next will kill Walt and Elmer with laughter. I keep getting medals for shooting. I don’t know why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk head and don’t move, and it ain’t shooting at you like the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie there all comfortable and hit it.

You don’t even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes.

Then we have what they call hand-to-hand combat training. You get to wrestle with them city boys. I have to be real careful though, they break real easy. It ain’t like fighting with that ol’ bull at home. I’m about the best they got in this except for that Tug Jordan from over in Silver Lake . I only beat him once. He joined up the same time as me, but I’m only 5’6″ and 130 pounds and he’s 6’8″ and near 300 pounds dry.

Be sure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry and join before other fellers get onto this setup and come stampeding in.
Your loving daughter,

Alice

U.S. State Dept. Sinking Trump’s ‘Safe Country’ Asylum Program, Says Guatemalan Official

A high-ranking Guatemalan government official told Breitbart News that the U.S. Department of State in that country is working with leftist organizations to allow President Donald Trump’s proposed “safe country” asylum agreement to die. President Trump is seeking agreements with Mexico and Central American countries to help slow the surge of migrants attempting to exploit loopholes in the U.S. asylum system.

A high-ranking Guatemalan government official spoke with Breitbart News under the condition of anonymity about the plans being negotiated between Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales and U.S. President Donald Trump to house so-called asylum seekers who have illegally crossed the U.S. border from Mexico. The proposed agreement would allow asylum seekers from any country to be sent to Guatemala for asylum. The proposal and a meeting scheduled for Monday between the two presidents has been postponed, Breitbart News reported.

“We hope the meeting will happen,” the Guatemalan official told Breitbart News in a phone interview, “but it won’t happen now.” A constitutional court in Guatemala placed an injunction against President Morales’ government from entering into the agreement, Sara Carter reported. “The court has acted against the constitution,” the Guatemalan official continued. He explained the Guatemalan courts are packed with leftist activists.

The official also blamed the U.S. State Department in Guatemala for “not doing anything to salvage the agreement.” He said State Department officials will frequently push to get agreements approved but have not done so in this case.
