Update (1720ET): During an internal Town Hall meeting at the New York Times, opinion editor James Bennett issued a mea culpa, telling staffers that he let his section be "stampeded by the news cycle," according to the Daily Beast.
Most interestingly, however, Bennett admitted that Cotton had been invited to write the opinion piece!
When asked about the senator’s claim that the Times approached him to write the op-ed, Bennet admitted that the opinion page had seen Cotton’s tweets on the subject and “we did ask if he could stand up that argument. I’m not sure we suggested that topic to him but we did invite the piece.” -Daily Beast
As National Review noted on Friday:
There was “haggling,” the Cotton staffer says, “over what the angle and point of the piece ought to be.”
This negotiation took place with an editor who the Cotton team assumed was working with his superiors on his end.
After several rounds of back of forth Monday and into Tuesday, Senator Cotton accepted the Times-approved topic. Then, the drafting process began, with the senator finishing the final version late on Tuesday. Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Cotton’s office delivered the piece to the Times.
There were at least three drafts back and forth. The Times would send along edits for approval, and the Cotton team would sign off, and then there would be another round. -National Review
Perhaps the Times needs to send out a company-wide internal poll for woke mob approvals before sparking another mass-triggering.

Father Pavone: President Trump Shows Inspiring Leadership for Believers
Countless American believers in the Bible, myself included, were inspired tremendously on Monday when President Trump stood in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church, across the street from the White House, and held up the Word of God for all to see.
The historic church was boarded up after rioters set fires there the day before, in an act which made even many on the Left incredulous.
The president’s likely opponent in the November elections, Democrat Joe Biden, was not among those who were inspired. Instead, tone-deaf as he is to the American people and the things of the Spirit, he said the president’s appearance outside the church shows he “is more interested in power than in principle.”
Some religious leaders found it “baffling and reprehensible” that the St. John Paul II National Shrine would allow the president to visit with First Lady Melania Trump, who is Catholic.
Actually, the opposition to the President’s actions is baffling. Every religious leader should be cheering the president’s expression of faith and commitment to religious liberty.
Before the nation became engulfed in violence sparked in part by the death of George Floyd and in large measure by unrelated agendas of violent agitators, the president had planned to sign an executive order on international religious freedom at the John Paul II Center.
“This was fitting,” according to a statement on the Shrine’s Twitter page, “given John Paul II was a tireless advocate of religious liberty throughout his pontificate.”

EXCLUSIVE: The Lancet Study on Hydroxychloroquine Was a COMPLETE FRAUD – The Authors are Linked to the Pharmaceutical Industry and People Died Because of Their Lies!
The Lancet Medical Journal apologized this week and pulled the controversial hydroxychloroquine study.
The study released by Lancet titled — “Hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with or without a macrolide for treatment of COVID-19: a multinational registry analysis” — was retracted after it was found to be a complete fraud.
Reuters reported:
An influential study that found hydroxychloroquine increased the risk of death in COVID-19 patients has been withdrawn a week after it led to major trials being halted, adding to confusion about a malaria drug championed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Lancet medical journal pulled the study after three of its authors retracted it, citing concerns about the quality and veracity of data in it. The World Health Organization (WHO) will resume its hydroxychloroquine trials after pausing them in the wake of the study. Dozens of other trials have resumed or are in process.
The three authors said Surgisphere, the company that provided the data, would not transfer the dataset for an independent review and they “can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources.”

Nolte: The Left’s Eating Itself. Let them Fight.
Last weekend hundreds of people came out in my little town to protest the tragic death of George Floyd. This protest took place less than three miles from my house. Want to know how I found out about it? Well, because it was perfectly peaceful and didn’t involve firebombs and rioting, I found out about it four days later in my local paper.
Hundreds came out in my little town! Hundreds. It was mostly students from the Alma Mater I dropped out of, but still… Hundreds! And not a peep of unrest. Just Americans being Americans.
You see, that’s how we roll out here in Rural America. While the stupid Democrats who vote for Democrats stress and worry about another round of looting and burning this weekend in their Democrat-run cities, all I’m worried about is the weather. I got grass to cut … on my tractor mower … the one with the bourgeois cup holder.
If Democrats want to riot in Democrat-run cities, what the hell do I care? How does this affect me? I’m not responsible for it. I didn’t vote for it. Hell, if it weren’t for my job, I’d hardly be paying attention.
Blue on blue violence is not my problem. The left eating itself is not my problem. In fact, the only feeling all this mayhem emits from me — and I’m not terribly proud of this — is a twinge of smug satisfaction in the form of Toldjaso.

Trump calls Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser ‘incompetent’ in Black Lives Matter feud
WASHINGTON — President Trump upbraided Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser on Friday, accusing her of being “incompetent” as tensions between the pair escalate.
In a series of tweets, Trump ripped Bowser after the Democratic mayor painted “Black Lives Matter” in huge letters on the street leading to the White House earlier Friday and demanded the president withdraw the thousands of National Guard troops deployed to the nation’s capital.
“The incompetent Mayor of Washington, D.C., @MayorBowser, who’s budget is totally out of control and is constantly coming back to us for ‘handouts’, is now fighting with the National Guard, who saved her from great embarrassment over the last number of nights,” Trump tweeted.
“If she doesn’t treat these men and women well, then we’ll bring in a different group of men and women!” he continued.

National Guard Members Look for Place to Stay After DC Mayor Kicks Them Out of Hotel
Members of the National Guard on Friday were looking for a new place to stay, after D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered that they leave the hotel they were staying at, according to an official.
The city had taken over the Marriott Marquis in downtown Washington, D.C. to use for the National Guard’s coronavirus response mission, but many rooms remained vacant, so National Guard members deploying to D.C. as part of the civil unrest mission began staying there.
Bowser did not like the idea that Guardsmen from out of state were staying at the hotel, so she ordered the more than 1,000 members to leave.
National Guard members who worked the night shift now are looking for a new place to stay instead of getting rest before their next shift, the official told Breitbart News.
The National Guard said in a statement:
Some National Guard responders were quartering in hotel accommodations which had preexisting contractual agreements with the District. Out of respect for existing agreements those facilities have with the city government, those service members have relocated. For further information, please contact city government.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM TO BOYCOTT WORKOUTS OVER COACH’S RESPONSE TO RIOTS
Head coach accused of lying about direct communication with each individual player
A Florida State University football player announced he and his teammates will boycott workouts following first-year coach Mike Norvell’s response to the protests over the death of George Floyd, the Minneapolis man who died after having his neck pinned to the ground by a police officer’s knee.
In a tweet, defensive tackle Marvin Wilson refuted reporting by The Athletic that quoted Norvell saying he had individually spoken with every player.
He called Norvell’s claim a “lie” and said the team was “outraged.”

Joe Biden Tries to Lie About Coronavirus But Ends Up Making No Sense in Jumbled Word Salad (VIDEO)
Seriously, what the hell is wrong with Joe Biden?
Biden on Friday delivered remarks on the economy and falsely claimed he didn’t trust China back in January.
Joe Biden repeatedly claims he called for a Coronavirus lockdown before President Trump took action.
This is a blatant lie and even the Washington Post fact-checker has already debunked this claim.

Carlson Savages ‘Ministry of Truth’ CNN, MSNBC as Pro-Riot ‘Revolutionary Organizations’
Following up on his Monday night monologue that spared no one, Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson continued to savage the liberal media (but CNN and MSNBC in particular) on Tuesday and Wednesday for “assisting the riots” as glorified “revolutionary organizations” from their comfy, safe homes and TV studios.
Seconds into Tuesday’s show, he noted journalists alongside other public professions like athletes and celebrities as having “sided with the people burning down police stations” that have now moved onto physically attacking police officers and, in cases this week, killing them.

Dog Returned to White Woman Who Called Cops on Black Birdwatcher
Amy Cooper "voluntarily surrendered" the dog to Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue after the incident sparked outrage
Amy Cooper, the white woman who called police on a black bird watcher who had asked her to leash her dog in a section of New York City's Central Park, has gotten her dog back after initially handing over the animal to a rescue while the incident was being investigated.
Widespread outrage sparked after cellphone video captured by the birder, Christian Cooper (no relation), went viral following the May 25 encounter. Part of the criticism centered on Amy Cooper's treatment of her dog, a cocker spaniel named Henry.
The video shows Amy aggressively tugging at the dog's collar and leash and at times pulling him off his feet as she seemingly pays no attention to the animal's visible discomfort.

Researchers Retract Botched Anti- Hydroxychloroquine Study Which Was Used To Attack Trump
An influential study which found anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine raised the risk of cardiac issues has been retracted by its three authors.
The study, published on May 22 in the UK's prestegious Lancet medical journal, relied on bogus data from a company called Surgisphere, which would not transfer the full dataset for an independent review, and "can no longer vouch for the veracity of the primary data sources."
While the company that produced the original data, Surgisphere Corp., had signaled that it would cooperate with an independent review, it ultimately reneged and said doing so would violate confidentiality agreements, wrote the study authors. “As such, our reviewers were not able to conduct an independent and private peer review,” the authors said. -Bloomberg
Notably, the World Health Organization halted trials of the drug, only to reverse course after the Lancet issued a major disclaimerregarding the study.

What I wouldn't give for kids to experience this kind of childhood without all the stress from the technology of today!!!
When I was a child, eating out at a restaurant was a huge deal that only happened for a special occasion. Fast food was a bologna and cheese or pb&j sandwich to take outside in the yard. Eating ice cream was a treat on a hot day.
You took your school clothes off and church clothes off as soon as you got home and put on your play clothes. We had to do our homework before being allowed outside to play.
We never knew anything about air conditioning. If you were too sick to go to school or church you were too sick to see your friends, play ball or go outside.
We ate dinner at the table. We went to school every day and rode a bus with 2 to a seat. There was no taking or picking you up in the car, you walked!
Our phone hung on the wall in the kitchen and had a cord attached to it, there were no private conversation's or cell phones!
We played Cowboys and Cops and Robbers, 1,2,3 Not It, Red Light Green Light, Kick the Can, Tag, Hide & Seek, Truth or Dare, Freeze Tag, Baseball, Football, Army, Whiffle Ball, Basketball, Man Hunt and rode our bikes EVERYWHERE!! We climbed trees as high as we could and sit there for hours. We didn’t go to summer camps, the Whole town was our local playground.
Staying in the house was a punishment and the only thing we knew about "bored"--- "You better find something to do before I find it for you!"
We ate what mom made for dinner or we ate nothing at all and if you asked mom what she was making the only answer you got was "food". There was no bottled water; we drank from the tap or the garden hose that always had warm water first before it ran cold.
We watched cartoons on Saturday mornings, rode our bikes for hours around the neighborhood. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. All of the neighborhood kids were friends. If someone had a fight, that's what it was and we were friends again a week later, if not SOONER. We played 'til dark, sunset was our curfew and we didn't dare make our parents come looking for us.
School was mandatory and teachers were people who you could TRUST and RESPECT. We watched our MOUTHS around our elder's because ALL of our Aunts, Uncles, Grandpas and Grandmas AND our Parent's best friend's were also our PARENT'S (they COULD & WOULD WHOOP Y'ALL!,) and you didn't want them telling your PARENT'S if you misbehaved. And if you DID misbehave, your parents knew about it before YOU even got home!
I loved my childhood; I wouldn’t trade those memories or those friendships for anything.

Michigan barber wins reopen case at state Supreme Court
The Michigan state supreme court sided with a 77-year-old barber Friday night, ruling his shop could open despite prolonged shutdowns of wide swaths of the economy ordered by Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitner.
In a unanimous ruling, the court overturned the decision of an appeals court that upheld a temporary restraining order the Whitmer administration had sought in what became a spotlighted case in an ongoing dispute in Michigan.
The decision also makes moot a motion by the state attorney general to hold Karl Manke, the barber, in contempt and be fined $5,000 a day for cutting hair while observing social distancing rules, according to Mr. Manke’s attorney.
“It is incumbent on the courts to ensure decisions are made according to the rule of law, not hysteria,” state justice David Viviano wrote in a concurring opinion. “One hopes that this great principle - essential to any free society, including ours - will not itself become yet another casualty of COVID-19.”
Mr. Manke’s decision to fight the shutdown rather than face what he said was near-certain economic ruin became something of a cause celebre among opponents of Ms. Whitmer’s strict stay-at-home rules. Her repeated extensions of the shutdown, currently scheduled to be lifted on June 12, also prompted an unsuccessful lawsuit from the Republican legislative majority and a major protest in Lansing last week dubbed ‘Operation Haircut.’

Joe Biden says 10 to 15 per cent of Americans 'are not good people
Vice President Joe Biden said in a discussion of the George Floyd killing that a large substantial share of Americans are not 'very good people' – as he tried to condemn President Trump but potentially opened himself up to attack.
'There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people,' Biden said in an online discussion with actor Don Cheadle Thursday.
Amid deep divides over police conduct toward African Americans and Trump's decision to proclaim 'law and order' while brandishing the U.S. military in a crackdown, Biden condemned the president's words and tone.

That thug who kicked man in head after he was already knocked out during protest?
Police made an arrest — and suspect is only 14.
'Who raised this little monster?'
It's an image that's gone viral and has become a symbol of leftist violence during the riots over George Floyd's death across the country.
A group of protesters chased and pushed a man amid protesting in Portland, Oregon, last weekend, after which he fell on the street — knocked out, face down, and motionless. And that's when another male was caught on video kicking him in the head — and then running away.
Afterward one of the protesters can be heard boasting, "Knocked his motherf***in' ass out!" A nearby man can be heard asking, "Who the f*** are you runnin' your mouth like that, man?"

Tucker Carlson: The riots are not about George Floyd or racial justice. They're about Trump and seizing power
For the past week, all of us have seen chaos engulf our beloved country. The violence and the destruction have been so overwhelming, so shocking, and awful and vivid on the screen, that it's been hard to think clearly about what's going on.
Most of us haven't been able to step back far enough to ask even the obvious questions. The most obvious, of course, is what is this really about? What do the mobs want?
Well, thugs looting the Apple Store can't answer that question. They have no idea. They just want free iPads. But what about Apple itself and the rest of corporate America, which is enthusiastically supporting the rioters? What about members of Congress, the media figures, the celebrities, the tech titans, all of whom are cheering this on. What do they want out of it?
Well, they haven't said. That's the central mystery.
Now suddenly, it is obvious. It should have been obvious on the first day. This is aboutDonald Trump. Of course, it is. We just couldn't see it.
For normal people, Donald Trump is the president. You may like him, you may not like him, but either way, there will be another president at some point, and we will move on as we always have.

Hogan shouldn’t have lifted Maryland’s stay-at-home order
When Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced he was lifting the statewide stay-at-home order a few weeks ago, I was ecstatic. Hogan has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to a data-driven approach and an opposition to prematurely reopening the state. I thought Hogan’s decision to lift this order could only mean we were beginning to slowly and safely return to normalcy.
But I was subsequently confused when I received an email from Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich telling residents that the county was still closed. After carefully rereading Hogan’s statement, I realized Hogan had cautiously added that the logistics of reopening should be left to the discretion of local leaders as not all counties are experiencing the same number of cases.
Thus, one of the only tangible impacts of this announcement was a transfer of responsibility from the state to municipal governments. Hogan’s veiled statement demonstrates a lack of leadership in this critical period that has not only jeopardized the health of Marylanders but also bred unnecessary confusion.
After spending months in quarantine, it’s only natural to expect people to become restless. Since stay-at-home orders were initially enacted in March, people across the nation have begun going outside more frequently. In the wake of several police brutality incidents, thousands around the country have even taken to the streets to protest racial injustice.
As a result, it’s extremely important that any updates regarding COVID-19 are clearly communicated and sufficiently backed by evidence. By lifting the stay-at-home order, Hogan essentially gave the green light for everyone in Maryland to resume their normal activities. Scenes from Ocean City over Memorial Day weekend show how desperate people are to go outside — even if it means risking infection. Given these circumstances, Hogan should have only lifted the statewide stay-at-home order when he had complete confidence the spread of COVID-19 has plateaued.

Amazon refuses to sell ex-NYT reporter's book on 'Unreported Truths about COVID-19.' Then Elon Musk steps in.
Former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson has been an outspoken critic of the global coronavirus lockdowns, using data and facts to make his points. But when he wrote a book on those "unreported truths," Amazon initially refused to publish it.
Then Elon Musk stepped in.
Then Elon Musk stepped in.
What are the details?
Berenson has been sounding the alarm for months over the devastating impact shutdowns have had on the U.S. economy, lambasting governors and other leaders for opting to destroy businesses and livelihoods while exposing the inaccuracy of the doomsday models used to justify draconian measures.
On Friday morning, Berenson tweeted, "BTW: last night I submitted my first coronavirus booklet ('Unreported Truths about COVID-19 and Lockdowns') for sale to @amazon. Normally the review/publish process does not take long. Hopefully that will be the case this time and I won't have to scream about censorship."
Within 10 minutes, the author tweeted that his book had been censored and provided an image of an email from Amazon notifying him: "Your book does not comply with our guidelines. As a result we are not offering your book for sale." The company cited "the rapidly changing nature of information around the COVID-19 virus."

Attorney General Frosh Joins Coalition Fighting for Abortion Access During Coronavirus Pandemic
Coalition Files Amicus Brief to Support Removing Barriers for Women Accessing Abortion Pill; Brief Follows Letter to HHS and FDA Requesting Restrictions on Mifepristone Be Lifted
BALTIMORE, MD (June 5, 2020) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh joined a multistate coalition of 23 attorneys general in supporting legal action taken against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for increasing the risk that women nationwide will contract COVID-19 as they seek abortions in their state. In an amicus brief filed in support of the plaintiffs in American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists et al. v. FDA et al., the coalition supports the plaintiffs’ request for a preliminary injunction to halt an FDA requirement that forces women to appear in person in a clinical setting to receive a drug known as Mifepristone for an early abortion or for miscarriage care. The coalition argues that the drug should be readily accessible via telehealth, so as to not potentially expose women to COVID-19 by requiring unnecessary travel to obtain it. The brief was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
“Requiring women patients to appear in person to access legal medical services during the COVID-19 pandemic is harmful to women, their families, and the public in general,” said Attorney General Frosh. “Telehealth is not only acceptable for the purpose of prescribing this medication, but encouraged by federal and state guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19.”
Since the widespread onset of COVID-19 across the United States in March, nearly 1.9 million Americans have contracted the disease, resulting in more than 107,000 deaths, including more than 56,700 infections and more than 2,500 deaths in Maryland. In response, legislators, officials, and agencies across the nation have been instituting various emergency measures to slow the spread of the virus by limiting face-to-face contact and reducing in-person social gatherings, such as by closing schools and requiring nonessential employees to work from home, as limiting interpersonal contact is central to the ability to control the spread of the virus.
But the FDA’s current policy requiring patients to appear in person in a clinical setting to receive Mifepristone heightens the risk of contracting and transmitting COVID-19 for everyone involved—including patients and health care providers. Forcing women to travel at a time when many states and the federal government are urging people to stay home to curb the spread of COVID-19 is shortsighted, and puts not only women and their close contacts across the country in harm’s way, but also the public health more generally. Further, this policy undermines different states’ ability to effectively manage the pandemic.
In the brief, the coalition specifically argues that “many women will need to travel long distances in order to reach a clinic that dispenses Mifepristone—sometimes up to two-hundred miles—especially if they reside in rural and medically underserved locations.” Additionally, those women in more compact, urban cities may not have the option to practice social distancing outside the home, therefore increasing the likelihood of coming into contact with an individual who has contracted COVID-19. But “[b]y using measures like telehealth to reduce unnecessary person-to-person contacts, [states] can decrease their infection rate, as required to safely commence reopening even as the pandemic continues.” In fact, the coalition continues, “telehealth should be used wherever possible—even as phased reopening of the States occur[s]—because it ‘maximize[s] the number of capable health care workers’ providing necessary medical treatment, while protecting health care staff,” and “the counseling required prior to a medication abortion is routinely provided through telehealth in order to reduce in-clinic interactions.”
Another division of HHS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have both advocated for telehealth, stating, “[l]everaging telemedicine whenever possible is the best way to protect patients and staff from COVID-19.”
The coalition goes on to highlight that their states have already taken numerous steps to expand the use of telehealth during the current public health crisis, including the suspension “of existing statutes and regulations that limit the use of telehealth in order to allow the delivery of regulated services through telehealth to additional patient populations, including especially vulnerable ones. These suspension orders expand the types of practitioners who can use telehealth, the settings in which it can be provided, the modalities that can be used to deliver telehealth services, and the circumstances under which telehealth can be initiated.” Further, many states have also suspended existing rules that prohibit telehealth in the absence of an existing patient-provider relationship so that patients can receive care from new providers.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has likewise championed telehealth as an effective substitute for in-clinic dispensing of Mifepristone that can improve patient safety and outcomes during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Even before the pandemic, the American Medical Association passed a resolution in 2018 urging the FDA to lift the requirement because it “impedes the provision of” Mifepristone and has no “demonstrated or even reasonably likely advantage.”
In March, a coalition including Attorney General Frosh called on the Trump administration to waive or utilize its discretion not to enforce this Mifepristone requirement because it dictates and subsequently impedes women’s access to a medication abortion. The coalition stressed the states’ need to ensure that women across the country have access to critical health care, including access to abortion services, without forcing them to travel and risk the spread of COVID-19.
In 2000, the prescription drug Mifepristone, sometimes referred to as RU-486, became the first FDA-approved medication to induce medication abortions, and today still remains the only drug approved in the United States for pregnancy termination. Since its approval, three-million women in the United States have used the medication, which entails women taking Mifepristone along with another drug to bring about an abortion. According to the FDA, this medication “has been increasingly used as its efficacy and safety have become well-established by both research and experience.” Women alternatively may undergo a procedural abortion that is performed by aspiration or by dilation and evacuation.
Joining Attorney General Frosh in filing the brief are the attorneys general of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
Don't Be So Shocked When The Number Of COVID-19 Cases Go Up, Quickly
Look, don't be a fool. When this virus came about there were very few test kits over the last 2 months. Heck, even Governor Hogan has been hiding $9.5 million worth of kits. Our government is desperately advertising drive thru test locations and encouraging every single American to get tested, (DNA) and of course now that they have more test kits, OF COURSE THE NUMBERS ARE GOING TO GO UP!
It seems like they're trying to create Round II of FEAR to all Americans. Get it, (COVID-19) get over it and by all means protect the people you know who's immunity system is vulnerable. Till then, stop acting scared.

"A Safe Space To Practice Aggression": Veritas Infiltrates Antifa 'Fight Club' In NYC
One day after infiltrating the violent Rose City Antifa cell in Portland, Oregon, Project Veritas has done it again - this time in New York City, where an undercover journalist recorded the young radicals receiving martial arts instruction on fighting techniques for riots.
Operating out of "The Base Anarchist Political Center," Antifa fight instructor Chris describes how best to injure an opponent, giving them time to 'run away' or 'really put a beating on them if you want to make it personal.'
If you get a good liver or kidney shot, it's pretty much crippling them. They're going to be doubled over and in a lot of pain. If you break one of the floating ribs, which are small and right down here. Those are also very painful, it's hard to move after that, to catch a breath. So, one good body shot could potentially give you all the time in the world to run away while they're doubled over in pain, or really put a beating on them after that if you really want to make it personal. -Chris, Antifa fight instructor
Chris describes the group as "a safe space to practice aggression," adding that it's "not aggression against one another, but really just a space that, if you really want to or if you really want to challenge yourself, to kind of work on harnessing that kind of energy."
The Veritas undercover journalist is then taught a variety of techniques to deal with opponents who have shields, defending against a choke hold, grabbing your opponent by the nuts, and "some really useful Jiu Jitsu."
"You step and yo grab his fucking nuts. Or you just solidly elbow, and he will let go," says the instructor.

Was It RACIST For The City/County To Shut Down The GOB?
So while I'm utterly confused at to why anyone, (mainly Mayor Jake Day) would call me a racist I'd truly like to know why Jake and all his stupid friends didn't call him and the City's other co owners of that building out as racists because they felt the desperate need to get EVERYONE out of that building before, (let's be nice now) protesters showed up.
Now I'm sure you could say that they shut it down so cars didn't get blocked in and whatever other kind of idea they might come up with but let's get real here people, they were skeered, (eastern shore for scared).
So when you hear Jake and his pack of rainbow banner followers calling me a racist simply because I said he might take a knee at the protest, THINK about the fact that HE/THEY shut down the local government by allowing this protest to happen during a very scary time, (in their eyes, not mine) and ran like a bat out of hell.
IF the protest was intended to be so peaceful and they weren't skeered they wouldn't have shut it down. Plain and simple.
Dozens of 'disrespected' Louisville police officers walk out on mayor
Police in Louisville, Kentucky, walked out on the city's mayor in protest at him 'disrespecting' them as they claimed he 'does not care about them at all'.
Video shows officers and detectives from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) silently streaming out of a room as mayor Greg Fischer prepared to address them ahead of a 12-hour shift.
Fraternal Order of Police president Ryan Nichols, who was not present, said the move was an unplanned reaction by officers who said they felt 'completely unsupported and disrespected.'
Tensions in the city have been high after the death of EMT Breonna Taylor in March. She died in her apartment after being shot eight times by cops, with her death sparking ongoing protests.
Black business owner David McAtee was then shot dead by cops on Monday during protests at the killing of George Floyd, further raising tensions between police and protesters.

The act was intended to honor protesters who had peacefully assembled earlier this week.
WASHINGTON — District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser on Friday had "Black Lives Matter" painted on the street that leads to the White House where protesters have been demonstrating following George Floyd’s death in police custody.
"There was a dispute this week about whose street this is," John Falcicchio, chief of staff for Bowser, a Democrat, said in a tweet. "Mayor Bowser wanted to make it abundantly clear that this is DC's street and to honor demonstrators who (were) peacefully protesting on Monday evening."

More than 2 million Americans became first-time gun owners this year, trade association says
During a record number of firearm sales in the first part of the year, more than 2 million Americans became first-time gun owners, a firearms trade association said Monday.
Firearms retailers estimated that 40 percent of their gun sales during the first four months of 2020 were to first-time buyers, according to a survey by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), an American national trade association for the firearms industry.
“The early part of 2020 has been unlike any other year for firearm purchases - particularly by first-time buyers - as new NSSF research reveals millions of people chose to purchase their first gun during the COVID-19 pandemic,” the association said.

NYC Pushes $1.1 Billion Cut To NYPD Budget As Ninth Night Of Demonstrations Begins
Update (1730ET): As the ninth night of demonstrations began, Americans gathered in Minneapolis, New York and elsewhere for what were mostly peaceful protests, as the decision to charge all the officers involved in restraining Floyd has assuaged public anger somewhat.
Bloomberg reports that it has been largely peaceful in most cities so far. Gov Cuomo urged protesters in NYC to get tested for COVID, while the mayor urged them to protest during the day.
Washington and Los Angeles lifted their curfews, while a bipartisan pair of lawmakers asked for a "briefing" on violence at the protests.
NYC's Police Commissioner Dermot Shea replied that the city "absolutely" doesn't need the military to come help suppress the violence.
Asked by CNN if he thought statements by the president criticized as divisive – that the authorities needed to “dominate” protesters-- were helpful, Shea said, “No, I don’t.”
Meanwhile, the push to cut police department budgets his beginning with NYC Comptroller calling for a $1.1 billion reduction in spending on the NYPD over the next four years. Given the drop in local tax revenue, we imagine that many departments - though mostly urban departments that probably could use the manpower, while suburbs continue their longtime trend of overpolicing.
President Trump weighed in with a tweet.
