Michelle Obama compares Trump to ‘divorced dad’
Michelle Obama jokingly compared the US under President Trump to a “broken family”– and described the commander-in-chief as the troubled brood’s “divorced dad,” prompting a backlash from critics defending real divorced dads.
In an interview Sunday in London to hawk her new book, “Becoming,” the former first lady compared her husband’s record during his two terms in office to Trump’s during his first two years.
“For anyone who had any problems with Barack Obama, let’s just think about what we were troubled by – there were never any indictments,” she told a crowd of around 15,000 at the London venue O2.
“We come from a broken family, we are a little unsettled,” Obama said, referring to the US.
“Sometimes you spend the weekend with divorced dad. That feels like fun but then you get sick. That is what America is going through. We are living with divorced dad,” she said about the thrice-married Trump.

Chesapeake Bay’s Health At Risk After Trump Issues Executive Order Relaxing Clean Water Rules
CONOWINGO, Md. (WJZ) — Before the Susquehanna River enters the Chesapeake Bay, the Conowingo Dam churns electric power from it. It’s the kind of energy that falls under federal regulations.
With an executive order, President Trump is ordering states not to get in the way of energy infrastructure, by enforcing clean water rules.
According to Ben Grumbles, Maryland’s Secretary of the Environment, the order is a “short-sighted, top-down order that tries to create a false choice between energy production and environmental protection.”
The environmental protection from extremely heavy run-off, carrying millions of tons of sediment, which happened during last summer’s record rains.

Notre Dame Fire Deemed ‘Construction Accident,’ But Here’s What the Media is Not Telling You
On Monday, the world reacted in horror as the nearly 900-year old Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was nearly completely destroyed by fire.
Horrific flames quickly engulfed the entire core structure, and after 2 hours, the iconic spire collapsed, along with most of the roof and its 210 tons of lead.
That’s what we know.
Here’s what we don’t: What caused it?
Well the media seems to have focused on one reason, and one reason only: the cathedral was “under construction” — a reported $7 million project lasting years, and scheduled to complete just this year.
Therefore the most logical reason, absent obvious foul play, is a “construction accident.“
Given the scope of the renovations, it is quite likely a “welding spark ignited paint thinner” or any other cause widely speculated in media reports, that can typically occur on a busy construction site.
But there’s just one big problem with that.
Two hours after the spire collapsed, French-Greek journalist Sotiri Dimpinoudis reported that there were no construction workers onsite at the time of the fire:

Actor Geoffrey Thorne Attacks Candace Owens
Actor Geoffrey Thorne told Turning Point USA’s communications director Candace Owens that conservatives will “never accept” her, adding “they will never think [of] you as anything but an obedient n*gger.”
“Without question, it is more difficult today to come out as a conservative than it is to come out as gay. Conservatives today are treated with the same social stigma as gays were in the 80’s,” said Owens in her initial tweet, “Sunday on the #CandaceOwensShow, @robsmithonline and I discuss!!”
Thorne, an actor who is perhaps best known for his long-running role as Sgt. Wilson Sweet on the classic TV show In the Heat of the Night, tweeted at Owens as a response to one of her recent tweets announcing the details involving an upcoming episode of her show with PragerU.

Maryland lawmakers blister Trump acts in Mueller report, stop shy of impeachment call
WASHINGTON – Maryland’s Democratic lawmakers on Thursday expressed outrage at President Donald Trump’s conduct detailed in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report but stopped short of saying whether Congress should initiate impeachment proceedings.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Mechanicsville, said Democrats intend to pursue further the legal leads in the report.
“House Democrats, while continuing to move forward with our agenda of opportunity and economic growth for the people, will do our part responsibly by investigating whether obstruction of justice occurred and the scope of Russian interference,” Hoyer said in a statement.

Man sues parents for 'destroying' his valuable porn collection
An Indiana man is suing his parents for destroying his porn collection, which he claimed was worth almost $29,000.
In a lawsuit filed last week in federal court in Michigan, the man said he moved to Indiana after living with his parents in Grand Haven, Michigan, for 10 months after a divorce.
He said he did household chores in lieu of paying rent, according to court documents.
In December 2017, the lawsuit says, his parents delivered boxes of his belongings to his residence in Indiana, but they were missing many of his possessions.
The man asked his parents about the "missing property," and they said "the items were destroyed," the lawsuit states.
In a January 2018 email that was part of the lawsuit, the father admitted to destroying some of his son's belongings.
"I do not possess your pornography. It is gone," the email said. "It has been either destroyed or disposed of. I may well have missed a few items that are now in your possession but, at this point, if you don't have it, it is gone. Ditto for your sex toys and smutty magazines."

WICOMICO COUNTY IN TOP FIVE IN STATE FOR SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS AND TEEN PREGNANCY
(Salisbury, Maryland) According to 2017 statistics from the Maryland Department of Health, Wicomico County’s rates for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is among the highest in the state for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Teen Pregnancy. Out of 25 jurisdictions (24 counties and Baltimore City), Wicomico’s rates for youth were:
The Wicomico County Health Department has two prevention curricula under its Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP) designed to bring these rates down and encourages groups that work with youth and young adults to help safeguard county youth from sexually transmitted infections.
The first is “Promoting Health Among Teens – Comprehensive” (PHAT-C). Comprised of 12 1-hour sessions, this curriculum educates males and females ages 12 – 19 about the importance of sexual abstinence for teens, and also educates them about safer sex practices should they decide to have sex. Additional education shows youth how healthy relationships, career/educational success and financial literacy can be negatively impacted by having sex as a teen. Education is done through video storytelling/discussion, role play and other interactive learning techniques.
The second curriculum is “Seventeen Days,” an interactive DVD that educates females ages 14 – 19 about safer sex through an individual viewing session on a personal DVD player. During the 1-hour session, the participant selects one of six characters to follow in a romantic relationship, learning about contraception, sexually transmitted infections, anatomy, healthy relationships and decision making. Participants are provided risk reduction strategies and asked to think about what they would do in a similar situation.
Both initiatives require parent permission for those under age 18 and both include entry and exit surveys to assess change in knowledge.
For more information about having either of these programs provided to your group, call the Wicomico County Health Department at 410-334-3480. Connect with us online atwww.wicomicohealth.org, on Facebook, Instagram (WicomicoHealth) or Twitter (@WicomicoHealth).
