Hi Reddit, I'm Maya Rockeymoore Cummings. I'm a 48 year old public policy consultant, former Congressional Chief of Staff, former gubernatorial candidate, and Chairwoman of the Maryland Democratic Party. Though I currently live in Baltimore MD, growing up I lived in many places across the US and abroad as the daughter of an Air Force officer. I serve as the voice of the party in Maryland, and have been tasked with rebuilding our organizing, communications, and fundraising operations in the wake of the 2016 and 2018 elections. Any connection to Elijah Cummings is strictly by marriage. Or his daughter who was using his Congressional plates while providing jitney service. If she's so sharp why doesn't she run for mayor in Charm City and show us what she can do? Word on the street is the mayor job comes with a lucrative book deal!
Cummings, Democrat, and Howard University tells me all I need to know about this person! That was before I looked carefully at the picture - able to make my decision based on experience with the facts presented - before I saw the picture of the individual!

No Thank you!! I was a Democrat for 42 years, but I have seen enough lying, cheating, race baiting and crooked Democrats in the last 2 and a half years, I will never vote for another Democrat for the rest of my life!!
The sad part is that she will be well liked in PG and Montgomery counties. Eastern shore has very little to say in the matter. I think the Eastern Shore and Southern Maryland should break away from Northern Maryland (DC) area.
