“Asian People Stealing Black Culture Again!” – Black Muslim Woman Berates Asian Boba Tea Store Owner For Not Being “Black-Owned” (VIDEO)

A black Muslim woman berated an Asian Boba tea store owner in Aurora, Colorado on Friday for not being “black owned.”

The black Muslima accused the Asians of “stealing black culture” and then turned her ire toward a black customer who was defending the store owners and called him a “coon.”

“This establishment is not black-owned, but you’re stealing black culture,” the Muslima said. “Is this not black culture? Trap Tea…”

“No! You’re thieves! Asian people stealing black culture once again! Once again!” she said. “It’s okay, you’ll be exposed though! You’re not black-owned! You’re stealing black culture!”

Interim chief: 3 Prince George's County police officers shot 'were ambushed'

Alsobrooks: 'All three of these officers are nothing short of heroes'

LANDOVER, Md. — Three Prince George's County police officers were shot within seconds of arriving at a home invasion call, the interim police chief said.

County police said officers were called at 6:35 p.m. Sunday to the 1300 block of Capital View Terrace.

Interim Police Chief Hector Velez said there was a legitimate call for service, a home invasion, but that the officers came under fire within seconds after arriving at the scene.

"They were ambushed," Velez said.

Police said officers returned fire, and two men are in custody. They were not struck.

"This evening, I received a call that three of my officers were shot. My heart sank," Velez said.

"This is the call you hope you never get, and we were just so shaken tonight to have gotten the call that three of our officers had been shot," Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks said. "All three of these officers are nothing short of heroes."

The officers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

"They're going to be fine ... They are in good spirits. They are concerned about each other. They expressed concern for the person that they were responding to for the call for service," Velez said. "At this point, they suffered various degrees of injuries, and fortunately, we were able to apprehend two individuals."

The chief said the officers provided care to each other.

Kenosha Riot Livestreamer Urges Violent Arsonists and Looters to ‘Go Raid Some White Owned Businesses’

A livestreamer filming the violence and destruction in Kenosha, Wisconsin, urged the arsonists and looters to “go raid some white businesses.”

The streamer was upset that they were burning a car dealership, not because they were destroying a business, but because the business had a Black Lives Matter sign nearby.

As More Children Learn From Home, The State Is Cracking Down On 'Virtual Truancy'

As remote learning creates more distance between school districts and students, school and state officials are clinging to control however they can. From sending Child Protective Services (CPS) agents to investigate charges of neglect in homes where children missed Zoom classes last spring, to proposing “child well-being checks” in homes this fall, government schools and related agencies are panicking over parents having increased influence over their children’s care and education during the pandemic.

A front page article in Boston Sunday Globe days ago describes the experiences of several parents who were interrogated by CPS agents last spring when their children missed remote classes or failed to submit homework assignments amidst pandemic-related school shutdowns. Some parents didn’t have Internet access and were blindsided by the CPS investigations of “virtual truancy.”One Latina mother featured in the Globe story is Em Quiles, who, like many parents last spring, scrambled to care for her children and continue to work during tremendous upheaval and uncertainty.

Luongo Exposes Dems' Strategy: Use COVID To Destroy Everything, Blame Trump

I was asked for comments by Sputnik News the other day about Democratic Nominee Joe Biden’s assertion he would lock down the entire country if the scientists told him to.

As you can imagine I didn’t hold back.

The idea that the scientists who have been the most vocal in advising President Trump and the other world leaders, would give Biden the honest answer about how to deal with COVID-19 at this point is beyond laughable.

I’m sorry but the official arbiters of “Science!” have done nothing but lie, delay, obfuscate and oversell the threat of this virus. And their miscommunication, intentional, well-meaning, or just incompetent, has cost humanity hundreds of billions if not trillions in accumulated wealth and time.

Those things translate directly into lives lost, opportunities destroyed.

Has Biden not looked around and seen the multiplying protests worldwide against these idiotic and tyrannical lock downs?

Biden’s handlers are telling him to campaign on this because they are trying to hold together The State, the religion of the Left, as the final arbiter of truth and societal best practices while it fails right in front of our eyes.

And I believe this is why they are trying so hard to hold onto these narratives so tightly. No one wants to watch their belief system wither and die on the vine.

No one is comfortable with having their fundamental premises which form their worldview be revealed as inadequate to the task. But that is exactly what is happening to progressives and socialists of all stripes.

Now Democrats Are Stuck With Biden

Contrary to much speculation on the right, Democrats stuck with the fast-failing, feeble Joe Biden through their hilariously inept convention – Stop! Hey! What’s that sound! Look at this LP of my grandpa’s that I found! – and they are now well and truly stuck with him. Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit did not stagger in, waving her half-empty bottle of screw-top Trader Joe’s Chardonnay, and putsch him out of the way. Michelle stayed put in her seaside villa from which she chides us for, among other things, not taking the global warming hoax’s rising ocean threat seriously. And Kamala failed to get that box of “special” chocolates past Oldfinger’s latest food taster.

Luckily, for the Democrats, Gropey J’s speech was the greatest speech in the history of speeching, according to reliable and objective mainstream media sources whose collective reaction to the teleprompter opus collectively evoked the sin of Onan. After all, he only plagiarizes from the best. That B-Dawg managed to read from a teleprompter without drooling and concluding by yelling “Come on, fat!” was a kind of achievement, just not the impressive kind.

But that did not stop the MSNBCNN pogue’s gallery of smart people of smartness from hailing him as Cicero reborn, though Cicero ended up with his head and hands nailed to the rostra. While the 25thAmendment is a somewhat less severe fate, though the savvy observer would put nothing past his scheming sidekick, it’s his best-case scenario.

Hawley: ‘Democrats Are Just Trying to Weaponize the Postal Service’

During an interview with Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) reacted to the House of Representatives passage of a U.S. Postal Service bill that if passed would place restrictions on changes made to mail delivery protocol and give the USPS an additional $25 billion in funding.

Hawley called the gesture and effort to “weaponize” the USPS.

“What’s happening here is the Democrats are just trying to weaponize the postal service, Brian,” he said. “I mean, that’s all there is to it. We had a hearing – the Senate had a hearing on Friday in the Homeland Security Committee that I sit on with the Postmaster. He said they’ve got the money. They’ve got the manpower. They’ve got the resources to deliver the mail safely and on time through the election.”

“The Postmaster has already said he won’t implement any reforms or measures that will slow down the mail between now and November,” Hawley continued. “And what they need – what the post office needs is long-term reform, but the Democrats aren’t interested in any of that. This is all an attempt to attack the president, to weaponize the postal service, and we just can’t allow it.”

The Missouri lawmaker reminded viewers Postmaster General Louis DeJoy was not a political appointee, and he questioned the political dynamic that exists within the postal service workers’ union.

Here’s A List Of Corporations Funding The ‘Defund The Police’ Movement

Dozens of corporations from around the world have collectively donated millions of dollars to left-wing organizations that advocate for defunding America’s police departments, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found.

Companies including Microsoft, Intel and Airbnb have donated to Black Lives Matter Global Network and Color of Change, both of which want to defund police departments across the country.

Color of Change is leading a national petition campaign demanding elected officials “defund the police, and invest in communities now!”

“Policing is a violent institution that must end,” Color of Change President Rashad Robinson said after the Minneapolis City Council voted to “dismantle” its police department.

Unfurling The Waste Problem Caused By Wind Energy

While most of a turbine can be recycled or find a second life on another wind farm, researchers estimate the U.S. will have more than 720,000 tons of blade material to dispose of over the next 20 years, a figure that doesn't include newer, taller higher-capacity versions.

There aren't many options to recycle or trash turbine blades, and what options do exist are expensive, partly because the U.S. wind industry is so young. It's a waste problem that runs counter to what the industry is held up to be: a perfect solution for environmentalists looking to combat climate change, an attractive investment for companies such as Budweiser and Hormel Foods, and a job creator across the Midwest and Great Plains.

At the end of a long gravel road on the southwest Nebraska prairie, the state's first wind farm, Kimball Wind Project, is caught in the breeze. But the turbine scrap area looks more like a sci-fi drama set. Rob Van Vleet climbed atop a 127-foot-long turbine blade and walked the length like a plank.

72 Percent of Detroit's Absentee Voting count don't match

Detroit election officials say that 72 percent of absentee ballot precincts recorded totals that didn’t match the actual number of votes. Wayne County, the state’s largest county, is calling for an official investigation.
The Wayne County Board of Canvassers is asking Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to look at “training and processes” used in the August 4 primary that one official called “a perfect storm” of challenges, according to the Detroit News.
In 46% of all Detroit’s precincts — absentee and Election Day — vote counts were out of balance, according to information presented Tuesday to the Wayne County Board of Canvassers. Specifically, the number of ballots tracked in precinct poll books did not match the number of ballots counted.
The situation could amplify the spotlight on absentee ballots in Michigan ahead of an election for which record levels of mail-in voting are expected and President Donald Trump is already raising concerns about how votes will be handled.
Are they math-challenged in Detroit? It ain’t rocket science, guys, it’s addition and subtraction.
One of the Democrats on the canvassing board assured us all that everything is fine, no need to panic.

Colombian vet on a mission to sterilize Pablo Escobar's wild hippos

“I am a strong woman, but it was a lot of stress because I love these animals and I want to protect them.”

The crying began almost as soon as Serna began filming “The Hunt for Escobar’s Hippos,” which premieres on the Smithsonian Channel on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

750 Million GM Mosquitoes Will Be Released in the Florida Keys

With the aim of reducing rates of the mosquito-borne illnesses yellow fever and dengue, a pilot program will release 750 million genetically modified mosquitoes into the Florida Keys in 2021, thanks to approval by the barrier islands’ Mosquito Control District Board of Commissioners at a meeting on Tuesday (August 18).

The strain of GM mosquitoes, known as OX513A, is an altered form of Aedes aegypti created by UK-based biotech firm Oxitec. Released mosquitoes will be all male, as male mosquitoes do not bite and generally only feed on nectar. Thanks to a conditionally lethal genetic variant, when OX513A mosquitoes mate with wild females, their offspring should die before they are old enough for females to begin biting.

Over the last 10 years, Oxitec deployed these GM mosquitoes in the Cayman Islands and Brazil. This will be the first release of any GM mosquitoes in the US. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and scientists at the University of Florida will oversee program.

Kim Jong Un reportedly in a coma for months, recent appearances faked

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been in a coma for months and all his recent public appearances were faked, a South Korean official says in a new report about the reclusive despot.

Chang Song-min, a former aide to late South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, alleged that Kim has become seriously ill amid speculation about his limited public appearances this year.

In April, rumors circulated that the Hermit Kingdom honcho was in a vegetative state after a botched heart operation.

The former aide now claims Kim fell into a coma months ago and that his subsequent appearances were recorded previously, according to the UK’s Sun.

“I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he told South Korean media, adding that the leader’s younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, was poised to help lead the country.

“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo Jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period,” he said.

America’s Moral Obligation for Universal Broadband

Too little progress has been made to ensure that high-speed Internet is available to all. As the pandemic has demonstrated, far too many still don't have what they need to function in a virtual world.

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the lives and livelihoods of so many Americans confirms a belief many of us held two decades ago: that someday broadband would be as essential to modern life as clean water and electricity. We made this prediction amid some snickering and heckling by academic and government types, but we believed, as I wrote in my book Civil Rights to Cyber Rights, that we had "a moral obligation to see that broadband becomes universally accessible and beneficial to the public."

We envisioned a wired nation where all important social functions would be performed in a virtual town square or from smart homes. Not only has this not happened, but COVID-19 has brought to light just how unprepared we are as a nation to function in this type of online environment despite the United States' head start in the development of the Internet. Now is the time to move forcefully to address this unfulfilled moral obligation.

Our idea of "universally accessible" was not a call for the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to strictly regulate the Internet as it did telephony, but we anticipated that there would come a time when the public might heavily rely on the Internet and citizens without it would be at a distinct disadvantage — economically, educationally and socially. Unfortunately, this time has come, and after six months of making a go at it, far too many still are not prepared to function in a virtual world. An estimated 35 percent of Black households and 29 percent of Hispanic households are still without a broadband connection.

Danbury, Connecticut names sewage plant after John Oliver

John Oliver dumped on the wrong Connecticut town.

The British comedian took the piss out of Danbury on his HBO show last week — so officials are naming the local sewage plant after him.

“We are going to rename it the John Oliver Memorial Sewer Plant,” Mayor Mark Boughton said Saturday in a Facebook video.

“Why? Because it’s full of crap just like you, John.”

The move comes after the Aug. 16 episode of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” in which the host explored the racial disparities in the jury selection process, citing problems in a few Connecticut towns.

He then randomly brought up Danbury, saying: “If you are going to forget a town in Connecticut, why not forget Danbury because — and this is true — f–k Danbury.”

Coronavirus: Joe Biden says he's willing to shut down country again

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden revealed Friday that he would re-lock down the United States if scientists recommended the extreme measure to stop the spread of the Chinese coronavirus.

“I would shut it down; I would listen to the scientists,” Biden replied when asked by ABC’s World News Tonight anchor David Muir if he would shut down the country if experts proposed the measure.

“I will be prepared to do whatever it takes to save lives because we cannot get the country moving until we control the virus,” Biden, flanked by running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), said. “That is the fundamental flaw of this administration’s thinking to begin with. In order to keep the country running and moving and the economy growing, and people employed, you have to fix the virus, you have to deal with the virus.”

Biden’s remarks come one day after the former vice president pledgedto implement a national mask mandate during his Democrat National Convention nomination acceptance speech. Days earlier, Biden said all Americans should wear masks “outside.”

“Let’s institute a mask mandate nationwide,” he proposed. “Every single American should be wearing a mask when they are outside for the next three months at a minimum.”

Re-shutting down the country, something President Donald Trump has opposed, would be a move at least some Americans could potentially disagree with.

Melania Trump unveils renovated White House Rose Garden

It’s all coming up roses Saturday at the White House.

First Lady Melania Trump gave the nation its first peek at the freshly renovated White House Rose Garden, just in time to use it as a backdrop for her Tuesday speech at the Republican National Convention.

“Excited to honor history & celebrate the future in our beautiful @WhiteHouse, Rose Garden this evening,” the first lady tweeted. “Thank you to all who helped renew this iconic & truly gorgeous space.”

The garden, located just outside the Oval Office, dates back to 1913 and was redesigned in the early 1960s under the direction of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

Trump’s changes include the restoration of the original diamond-shaped boxwood hedges and the installation of new rose bushes to honor the space’s history. The floral display includes cream-colored “JFK” roses, light yellow “Peace” roses, and the stark white “Pope John Paul II” rose to commemorate the pontiff’s visit to the White House in 1979.

Thousands of Georgia Voters Will Soon Be Marked As Inactive

Election officials worry the inactive status will further confuse an already complicated general election, but they want to emphasize that dormant voters can still vote; they just have to change their voting status first.

(TNS) — State set to shift voting status for many, but they can still cast ballots

They will still be able to vote in November’s presidential election — we can’t stress that enough — but tens of thousands of Georgians could soon be shifted to inactive voter status.

That’s because absentee ballot applications that were mailed to them in the spring could not be delivered. Again, those voters will be able to cast ballots in November, but unless they make some contact with their county election officials, they will be one step closer to seeing their registrations canceled.

During a special session convened by the governor, the Republican-controlled General Assembly passed HB8005, a bill that significantly increases the criminal punishment for violent and disruptive protests.

Could It Be True, Dr. Rene Desmarais Is Considering Walking Away From County Executive Appointment

The word on the street is that Dr. Rene Desmarais is considering walking away from the opportunity to become the next Wicomico County Executive as rumors have been spreading about an alleged affair.

The idea that  he was not going to give up his practice AND the fact that the Council even considered him PROVES these Council Members are an absolute joke.

The even bigger joke is the Greater Salisbury Committee acting like a bunch of crybabies over the Council's decision not to vote in Carl Anderton. You've got to see this video.

Kamala Harris: 'I will take executive action' on gun control if I am elected president

WASHINGTON – Sen. Kamala Harris vowed Monday to sign executive orders on gun control if she wins the Democratic nomination and defeats President Donald Trump in 2020.

"Upon being elected, I will give the United States Congress 100 days to get their act together and have the courage to pass reasonable gun safety laws. And if they fail to do it, then I will take executive action," said the California senator when asked about school shootings during a CNN town hall event.

Harris said "conversations take place every night between students and their parents" about why school shootings keep happening.

She said the answer is that politicians failed "to reject a false choice which suggests you're either in favor of the Second Amendment or you want to take everyone's guns away."

July home sales spike a record 24.7% as Prices set a new high

Sales of existing homes soared 24.7% in July from June, according to the National Association of Realtors.

That's the strongest monthly gain in the history of the survey, going back to 1968, and the highest sales pace since December 2006.

Sales were 8.7% higher from July 2019.

The numbers represent closed sales, meaning contracts signed in May and June.

The increase in sales came as supply fell, prices rose and mortgage rates stayed low.

The supply of existing homes plummeted 21.1% annually, with just 1.5 million homes for sale at the end of July. This represents a 3.1-month supply at the current sales pace, down from a 4.2-month supply a year earlier. It's the lowest July supply in the history of the inventory survey, which has been tracking single-family supply data since 1982.

"The new listings are running a little higher than one year ago but all those new listings are being grabbed by the buyers and taken off the market," said Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the Realtors.

The US House just passed a $25 Billion Bill to fund the Post Office

The House of Representatives reconvened for a rare Saturday session, passing legislation to address concerns about the U.S. Postal Service. The bill would provide $25 billion in emergency funds to shore up the U.S. Postal Service and halt any changes to the agency’s operation until after the November presidential election.

The vote came just one day after the USPS’s newly appointed boss, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, testified before a Senate committee on Friday, reassuring lawmakers that his agency could handle the expected influx of mail-in ballots.

Still, Democrats moved forward with the vote, which passed on Saturday with 257 in favor and 150 against. House Democrats voted unanimously for the bill, with 26 Republicans also voting yes.

The bill reflects Democrats’ concerns that delivery delays could affect millions of Americans and the November election held during the coronavirus pandemic.

The bill appeared unlikely to move through the Republican-controlled Senate, though. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Friday that concerns over the mail-in ballots was a “nonexistent problem.” He didn’t say whether the Senate would schedule a vote on the bill. The White House threatened to veto the bill on Friday evening.

County Executive Interviews at Civic Center

I would like to make two comments about this news site before I move on to my article.

1. No matter how long of an article I've ever written, Joe has always printed the entire article. Other sites will limit you to 150-200 words. To me that means they are not really interested in what you have to say as much as being able to say, "We give our customers a chance to respond in the Opinion Section". Perhaps they should change this and they would get more attention to their newspapers.

2. When you go to the right side of the site and scroll down you will start seeing many years written out. If you click on them it's like a history book. You can go back many years and see articles on what has been happening in Wicomico County and lately more national news. For instance, say you want to find out how many times the council has voted on an important issue and then allowed public comments. Kind of like what happened at the Civic Center last week. Check history, not the first time. Suppose you want to know if there was other times when the council changed their mind and revoted to change their previous vote. Again just recently they revoted on buying property in Delmar after they had voted down buying it. BMS was voted down then later the council came back and voted for it. Look at how many times past Councilwoman Prettyman came back and flip/flopped on an issue. So precedence has been set on this revoting idea.

I believe my main concern was in the way these interviews were conducted. First, what was the darn hurry? There was only three applicants and the council has until 9/13 to get this done. I've had many years of experiences on search committees and I've never seen one like this. They had two minutes to introduce themselves and tell about their backgrounds. Two minutes! You've got to be kidding. For the highest position in the county and the council allows TWO minutes. Then a sixty second follow up at the end.
Unbelievable. This was the time that I would ask the candidate if they had any questions for the search committee and give them the time to answer.

Then there was the questions. Search committees are suppose to develope questions to see if the candidate is qualified for the job and how he would fit into the job. Now the council asked if the candidates could devote their time to this position as a full time job but I didn't hear any explanation from the council on exactly how much time this job would entail. There is presidence already set for the time needed. We've had two County Executives, and though I didn't agree with a lot of Mr. Pollits ways of doing things I do know he spent a lot more than forty hours a week on the job. Then Mr. Culver must have set a record for hours worked. He could be found all over the county at any time day or night from checking how methane gas generators work at the landfill to what's happening at the sewage plants to driving a snow plow at night while it was snowing. This doesn't even count the time a County Executive has to spend out of town in Annapolis or in New York during budget and bond time. Yes, they did ask if the candidates could perform this position as a full time job but they knew everyone would say yes because it would have been stupid to shoot yourself in the foot at an interview. But what they didn't ask was how they could do that knowing each candidates situation. They knew what they did to Ms. Ennis the week before, they knew that delegate Anderton would have to resign his position to take this job but what they didn't know and didn't find out was how Dr. Demarais would be able to hold down two full time positions. Since he was a full time employee at PRMC with a very demanding position they did not appear to be concerned if he would have to give up part of that position and lose patients (I only mean the number of patient here because I hear he is a very good cardiologist) and revenue for his family. Here again I had to ask myself that with a job of such responsibilities why didn't they give him more time to explain, why the hurry?

When I was a search committee chair I would ask that each member on my committee to assign a number of 1-5 as to how well each candidate answered the questions. Then we would tally the numbers to see who had the highest numbers and that person usually got the position. Did the council members do that also? I would love to see their grading sheets and explanations of the grades. But maybe they didn't have to do that process. I mean who is going to check them? Perhaps there was another reason though and the public viewing of the hiring process was just a show and tell for the public. Perhaps they already knew who would be chosen. But the question is was this a fair, thoughtfull process for the candidates and to the public? You will have to make that decision yourself now and at the election in 2022. Maybe the Good Doctor should ask more questions to the council because it's only fair before he signs on.

Now I know I'm going to get all those nasty comments but I will at least sign my name. It's John Palmer, Delmar, Md. I'm in the phone book. Call if you like. I'll be glad to speak with you.

'Serial grifter' avoids eviction from woman's NYC home: suit

A West Villager has been tormented for more than a year by a messy, obstinate roommate who has been refusing to pay rent or move out, according to shocking court papers.

Barrow Street resident Heidi Russell’s short-term renter, Kate Gladstone, is a “serial grifter” who has become a long-term nightmare, taking over her apartment, repeatedly spritzing her with cleaning chemicals and basically squatting for free, the court papers claim.

It’s been so unbearable, Russell often flees her two-bedroom apartment during the day, just to get away from Gladstone.

“She’s turned me into a homeless person during the pandemic,” said Russell.

“I’m out on the street, with my mask and my old dog in a carriage. It’s just taken over our lives.”

Paterson, NJ Election Invalidated Due to Mail-In Voter Fraud

A New Jersey election has been invalidated by a judge, and a new election has been ordered to be held, due to rampant mail-in voter fraud.
On Wednesday, State Superior Court Judge Ernest Caposela ruled that the election for a Paterson City Council seat had been irreversibly tainted. A new election has been ordered to take place in November.
The mayor of Paterson praised the ruling. “It was the right ruling,” Mayor Andre Sayegh told CNN. “That past election was fraught with fraud.”
Four people were charged with criminal conduct in connection to the fraudulent election, including a Paterson councilman and the councilman-elect.
Michael Jackson, 48, of Paterson—1st Ward Councilman and Council Vice President, was charged with Fraud in Casting Mail-In Vote (3rd Degree), Unauthorized Possession of Ballots (3rd Degree), Tampering with Public Records (3rd Degree), and Falsifying or Tampering with Records (4th Degree).

Utah students who don't wear masks in schools can be Criminally Charged— even kindergartners

But it's up to schools to seek charges, and the governor's office expects that will be rare

Utah students as young as kindergartners can be criminally charged for not wearing masks in schools in order to protect against the spread of COVID-19, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

What are the details?

And while the paper said the office of Republican Gov. Gary Herbert confirmed the potential for K-12 students and staff getting misdemeanors for violating the mask mandate, spokeswoman Anna Lehnardt said it's up to schools to seek such charges — and that it's expected they will be rarities.

"It's enforced on a district and superintendent level," she added to the Tribune. "But we're not thinking, 'Let's slap a bunch of kids with misdemeanors.'"

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to the president's comments, calling them "dangerous:"
"This was a very dangerous statement on the part of the president," Pelosi said.

Teacher Spying on Student During Virtual Class Sends Cops to Search 11-Year-Old's Home After Spotting a BB Gun

A Baltimore County, Md., fifth-grader got a visit from the police after his teacher called to report that she had seen a BB gun on the wall behind the student during a class video call.

The boy’s mother, Courtney Lancaster Sperry, a Navy veteran, is warning other parents about a lack of privacy during virtual classes after her son was targeted by a teacher who saw what she thought was a scary-looking gun hanging on the wall of the boy’s bedroom.

“While my son was on a Zoom call, a ‘concerned parent’ and subsequently two teachers saw his properly stowed and mounted Red Ryder BB gun and one other BB gun in the background,” Sperry wrote on Facebook. “He was not holding them and never intentionally showed them on video. In fact, he was oblivious that they could even be seen in the background.”

After the teacher reported the gun, the principal, Jason Feiler, decided to call the police to report the guns and ask that the home be searched.

The principal and the teacher cited a rule stating that students may not bring guns to school and claimed it extended to virtual classes as well, Sperry said, adding that the school handbook does not address rules for virtual learning at all. Besides, “he did not BRING anything to this meeting and he is in his own home,” she said. “They were simply in the background in our home, safely stowed in a room behind a closed door, with no ammunition (if you can even call it that).”

Sperry told PJ Media that the school’s vice-principal called her ex-husband, claiming to be checking on network connectivity. She believes the real reason for the call was to find out whose home her son was at. The vice-principal “ended the call without leveraging the opportunity to discuss the matter and rather was fishing for information to find out where to dispatch police,” she said.

Govt. documents show six examples of Obama administration spying on Trump camp

President Trump responded to former President Barack Obama’s attacks against him Wednesday night during the Democratic National Convention with the Twitter counter-charge that “he spied on my campaign.”

Viral video shows similarities between Biden's DNC speeches

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden delivered his nomination acceptance speech at the 2020 Democratic National Convention on Thursday night. Some viewers noticed striking similarities between his acceptance speech at the 2020 DNC and his acceptance speech as Barack Obama's vice president at the 2008 DNC.

The two speeches shared especially similar platitudes, and at times, Biden used the exact same wording. Here are some of the examples of how the two speeches are notably similar despite being delivered 12 years apart.

2008: "It's about whether you can look your children in the eye and say, 'We're going to be okay.'"

2020: "It's about looking your kids in the eye and say, 'Honey, it's going to be okay.'"

2008: "That's how you come to believe, to the very core of your being, that work is more than a paycheck. It's dignity. It's respect."

2020: "He would say, 'Joey, a job is about a lot more than a paycheck. It's about your dignity. It's about respect.'"
