The data is in — stop the panic and end the total isolation

The tragedy of the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be entering the containment phase. Tens of thousands of Americans have died, and Americans are now desperate for sensible policymakers who have the courage to ignore the panic and rely on facts. Leaders must examine accumulated data to see what has actually happened, rather than keep emphasizing hypothetical projections; combine that empirical evidence with fundamental principles of biology established for decades; and then thoughtfully restore the country to function.

Five key facts are being ignored by those calling for continuing the near-total lockdown.

Fact 1: The overwhelming majority of people do not have any significant risk of dying from COVID-19.

The recent Stanford University antibody study now estimates that the fatality rate if infected is likely 0.1 to 0.2 percent, a risk far lower than previous World Health Organization estimates that were 20 to 30 times higher and that motivated isolation policies.

In New York City, an epicenter of the pandemic with more than one-third of all U.S. deaths, the rate of death for people 18 to 45 years old is 0.01 percent, or 10 per 100,000 in the population. On the other hand, people aged 75 and over have a death rate 80 times that. For people under 18 years old, the rate of death is zero per 100,000.

CIA Behind Guccifer & Russiagate – A Plausible Scenario

William Binney is the former technical director of the U.S. National Security Agency who worked at the agency for 30 years. He is a respected independent critic of how American intelligence services abuse their powers to illegally spy on private communications of U.S. citizens and around the globe.

Given his expert inside knowledge, it is worth paying attention to what Binney says.

In a media interview this week, he dismissed the so-called Russiagate scandal as a “fabrication” orchestrated by the American Central Intelligence Agency. Many other observers have come to the same conclusion about allegations that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections with the objective of helping Donald Trump get elected.

But what is particularly valuable about Binney’s judgment is that he cites technical analysis disproving the Russiagate narrative. That narrative remains dominant among U.S. intelligence officials, politicians and pundits, especially those affiliated with the Democrat party, as well as large sections of Western media. The premise of the narrative is the allegation that a Russian state-backed cyber operation hacked into the database and emails of the Democrat party back in 2016. The information perceived as damaging to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was subsequently disseminated to the Wikileaks whistleblower site and other U.S. media outlets.

A mysterious cyber persona known as “Guccifer 2.0” claimed to be the alleged hacker. U.S. intelligence and news media have attributed Guccifer as a front for Russian cyber operations.

Notably, however, the Russian government has always categorically denied any involvement in alleged hacking or other interference in the 2016 U.S. election, or elections thereafter.

William Binney and other independent former U.S. intelligence experts say they can prove the Russiagate narrative is bogus. The proof relies on their forensic analysis of the data released by Guccifer. The analysis of timestamps demonstrates that the download of voluminous data could not have been physically possible based on known standard internet speeds. These independent experts conclude that the data from the Democrat party could not have been hacked, as Guccifer and Russiagaters claim. It could only have been obtained by a leak from inside the party, perhaps by a disgruntled staffer who downloaded the information on to a disc. That is the only feasible way such a huge amount of data could have been released. That means the “Russian hacker” claims are baseless.

'Something's Not Right With Biden' According To Former White House Physician

The former White House physician to Presidents Obama and Trump says 'something is not right' with former VP Joe Biden.

"The best way I can describe every time I see him is that he's just lost," said Dr. Ronny Jackson - who recently won a GOP congressional primary in Texas.

"I won't make any particular diagnosis about dementia ... but what I will say is that something is not right" he continued, according to Just the News.

While Jackson admits he hasn't personally viewed Biden's medical file, he's witnessed the Democratic frontrunner's cognitive decline.

"I saw him frequently around the West Wing and other places like that. I know he's always been prone to gaffes, but these aren't gaffes anymore. He can't form sentences. Sometimes, he can't complete a thought," said Jackson, who is quoted in an upcoming book by Donald Trump Jr., "Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats' Defense of the Indefensible."

The Trump campaign is also using Biden's apparent decline in a new ad:

Watch: D.C. Mayor Accuses Trump of Fanning Flames of Racism

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D), speaking at Monday night’s Democratic National Convention with Black Lives Matter Plaza as her backdrop, said she wants her daughter to grow up in an America where the president “doesn’t fan the flames of racism.”

Bowser emphasized the Democrat Party’s unsaid theme of racial justice in her brief remarks Monday night, stating that the story of the nation’s capital is the “story of reckoning.”

“It was here that John Lewis and Dr. King spoke on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It was here that millions of women and men flooded the streets for the Women’s March,” she said, also highlighting the protesters, many of whom were violent, who gathered in the nation’s capital over the summer. She expressed horror that President Trump walked to St. John’s Church and held up a Bible — a symbolic action he took after those “peaceful protests” set the church ablaze.

“But while we were peacefully protesting, Donald Trump was plotting. He stood in front of one of our most treasured houses of worship and held a Bible for a photo op,” Bowser said. “He sent troops in camouflage into our streets. He sent tear gas into the air—federal helicopters, too.”

“I knew if he did this to D.C., he would do it to your city or your town, and that’s when I said enough,” she said, bringing up her daughter:

I have a two-year-old daughter, and I want her to grow up in an America where she’s not afraid to walk to the store. An America where she’s safe behind the doors of her own home. An America where the president doesn’t fan the flames of racism and looks out for all of us. So I created Black Lives Matter Plaza right behind me as a place where we can come together to say “enough.”

SU Releases Initial COVID-19 Testing Numbers

SALISBURY, MD---As Salisbury University prepares to welcome students to campus next week, members of the SU community are taking advantage of free COVID-19 testing offered by the University.

As of Friday, SU had tested more than 1,000 faculty and staff, as well as students already living in the Salisbury area. Only four — just .4 percent of those tested — showed positive results for COVID-19.

“Our faculty and staff have worked tremendously hard to create a safe atmosphere for students to return to campus this fall,” said SU President Charles Wight. “We are pleased to find such a low rate of COVID-19 among those who have been tested so far and we’re optimistic that trend will continue.”

The University System of Maryland has required all students, faculty and staff to provide negative COVID-19 test results prior to moving into campus housing or entering campus buildings. To better accommodate physical distancing policies, SU has expanded its normal one-day move-in to a full week, beginning Monday, August 24. Classes start Monday, August 31.

These States Aren’t Waiting for the Feds to Create COVID-19 Worker Safety Rules

Workers process chickens at a poultry plant in Fremont, Nebraska. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, ordered regulators to create workplace safety rules to limit the spread of COVID-19 after a surge in coronavirus cases linked to poultry plants in the state.

Ron Smith, a bus operator in San Mateo County, California, says at least six of his colleagues have tested positive for the new coronavirus. But until recently, he said, it was unclear whether bus operators should keep going to work if they were exposed to a sick colleague. The bus drivers union also wasn’t getting updates on the number of workers falling ill.

Smith said he’s worried about getting infected on the job and exposing his wife, who has Parkinson’s disease. “I would like to know the risk that I am taking coming to work, and the possibilities that I could expose my family member,” he said.

The transportation district has since told workers that if they’re exposed to an infected person, they should quarantine while waiting for coronavirus test results, Smith says. But he said it would be a good idea if the state laid out clear rules for all companies to keep workers safe during the pandemic.

In the absence of federal action, some left-leaning states are creating safety rules to protect workers from catching the coronavirus while on the job. Rules went into effect in Virginia last month, and regulators in California and Oregon are now debating a similar move.

Some E-Bikes Approved For Boards In 4-3 Vote

OCEAN CITY — A clearly divided Mayor and Council this week voted to approve the use of certain electric bikes, or e-bikes, on the Boardwalk and not others after considerable debate.

With the increasing popularity of e-bikes in and around the resort area, the Mayor and Council earlier this year charged the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee to review the town code and see if and where they fit in to the ordinance covering bicycles, scooters, mopeds and other two-wheeled vehicles. During his review of last week’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting, Councilman Tony DeLuca said the committee worked with the Ocean City Police Department and the owner of a bike rental shop to determine there are different classes of e-bikes, each with their own capabilities regarding speed, for example.

NASCAR car stolen from Cracker Barrel parking lot

The trailer was carrying equipment and the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro of Kyle Weatherman

A Georgia thief may have stolen more than he bargained for when he made off with a NASCAR team’s truck and trailer with an Xfinity Series race car inside.

The Mike Harmon Racing team was making its way back to North Carolina from Daytona, Fla., on Sunday when it made a stop in Kingsland, Ga. and left its trucks in a Cracker Barrel parking lot.

Fox 46 Charlotte reported that surveillance video shows someone getting in the silver 2000 Ford F-350 and fiddling with the ignition before pulling onto I-95 south toward Florida.

CNN guest asks why Bill hasn't been 'canceled' and this happened

'We believe in redemption, brother,' Van Jones tells Scott Jennings
A CNN panel was quick to defend former President Bill Clinton Tuesday night after a Republican commentator asked how he had not been "canceled" in the #MeToo era.

Ahead of Clinton's appearance on the second night of the Democratic National Convention, the former president was showered with praise by CNN commentators Van Jones and Jennifer Granholm. However, their colleague Scott Jennings, a former George W. Bush White House official, was puzzled that the Democrats continue to give Clinton a platform.

"I have to say... I am dumbfounded by this. How is it that Bill Clinton has not been canceled by the Democratic -- how has he survived all of these waves of cancellations when he has been one of the biggest violators of these rules all these years?" Jennings asked.

"We believe in redemption, brother," Jones responded.

Deborah Birx wishes US lockdown looked like Italy's, where people couldn't leave their homes without gov't permission

If you thought the coronavirus lockdown last spring was oppressive or find the various mask mandates to be a bridge too far, then be thankful White House Coronavirus Task Force coordinator Deborah Birx's hopes did not come true.

Birx said Monday that she wished the United States had gone into a lockdown that looked like the one Italy's government imposed: A lockdown that forced Italians to remain in their homes for days or weeks at a time — except for "essential" activities.

During a roundtable COVID-19 discussion led by Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) on Monday, CNN reported, Birx shared what she had learned as the task force continued to monitor and make recommendations as the pandemic spread across the U.S.

One thing that stood out to her was how Americans reacted to restrictions and what they would put up with to fight the spread of the virus. She went on to lament that the country was not able to implement a lockdown like the one in Italy.

Hotels are headed for an Historic level of Foreclosures, Lodging Group warns

Nearly one out of four mortgage-backed hotel loans are delinquent, according to the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Payments on nearly one-fourth of all loans backed by hotel real estate are delinquent by at least 30 days, signaling an imminent and unprecedented wave of foreclosures, according to the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).

It notes that the $20.6 billion in delinquent payments on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)—23.4% of all CMBS loans extended to hotels—compares with overdue payments of $1.15 billion at the end of 2019, or 1.3% of outstanding CMBS loans at the time. The current level of delinquencies even surpasses the $13.5 billion that lenders were owed during the Great Recession that started in 2008, according to the association.

The report, compiled for the AH&LA by a research company called Trepp, is the latest in a torrent of bad news from the association about the state of its industry. Its release was accompanied by the announcement that 4,000 lodging executives have signed a letter to Congress, urging lawmakers to save the business by pushing through a federal relief package aimed specifically at the lodging trade.

Similar industry-specific measures are being pushed by the restaurant industry, with lobbying from both the National Restaurant Association and the Independent Restaurants Coalition.

The measure supported by the AH&LA, a bill known as the HOPE Act, would create an emergency fund to help hotels repay their CMBS loans.

FDA warns of false coronavirus test results from Thermo Fisher Kit

News comes a month after Connecticut officials reported at least 90 false-positive test results

The Food and Drug Administration on Monday warned health care providers of false-positive coronavirus test results using the Thermo Fisher Scientific TaqPath COVID-19 Combo Kit.

The FDA, which approved Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the kit in March, said the issue stems from the kit itself as well as an outdated software system, according to a press release.

Thermo Fisher Scientific has updated its kit instructions, and the FDA is recommending medical professionals "promptly" implement software updates to reduce the frequency of false-positive results.

The Re-Rehabilitation Of The Clintons

Tonight, former President Bill Clinton speaks at the Democratic National Convention. Tomorrow night, it’s his wife Hillary’s turn. The pervert and the enabler. Hell of a line-up Democrats have assembled.

It wasn’t that long ago Democrats were condemning Bill for his well-documented perverted past. They didn’t mean it, of course, but they did it.

Remember the #MeToo movement? When the left pretended to care about sexual harassment and women being abused by men? Democrat politicians and donors were dropping like flies – John Conyers, Al Franken, Harvey Weinstein, etc. – the party was having a rough go of it.

Then came the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Democrats manufactured an opportunity for them to get a scalp. There was one big problem, however, the former president of the United States was a well-known philanderer who’d been accused on multiple occasions of not taking “no” for an answer.

Is This Real? Why Some Are Calling the DNC Outro Monday Night 'The Moment Trump Won Re-Election'

This cannot be real. Did two hours of watching the Democratic National Convention cause me to lose my mind? President Trump was blamed by one woman for causing her father's death from COVID. Yeah, she used his dead body to score political points, I'm sure that's what he—a Trump supporter—would have really wanted. Bernie tried to get the progressive base excited for Joe; it wasn't convincing. And then we have the loser brigade, some no-name Republicans who are throwing their support behind Joe Biden. John Kasich is also doing that—forever cementing himself as the Benedict Arnold of the Republican Party. Well, at least for this cycle, he's decided to fill the role.

The Manufactured Hysteria Over Mail Delivery

That dastardly Donald Trump is at it again. He is either the evilest man ever to hold the office of president or the dumbest. He is either a Machiavellian genius manipulating the media and his hypnotized followers or a bumbling know-nothing idiot

Trump is being accused of sabotaging the November elections because he won’t give the postal unions and incompetent managers in the postal service $25 billion to play with. The money will stave off catastrophe for about a year at the rate the USPS is burning through cash. Without that money, we’re informed by those in the know, thousands — no, tens of thousands — no, millions of voters who wait until the last minute to mail in an absentee ballot might not have their votes counted because, well, Trump.

The procrastinators in America are up in arms and plan a demonstration to show their outrage. But it probably won’t happen until after the election since that’s when they’ll eventually get around to it.

The “crisis” in postal delivery presupposes that, prior to Trump’s shenanigans, the USPS was doing fine — nothing that a few tens of billions of taxpayer dollars couldn’t fix. In fact, that’s what the postal unions are saying. In a statement released on Saturday, the letter carriers and postal workers’ unions assure the public that even without the money, they can do the job.

WSJ Editorial Board Condemns ‘Evidence-Free Conspiracy Theory’ About USPS Being Pushed By Democratic Leadership

The Wall Street Journal editorial board condemned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders Monday evening for embracing a “conspiracy theory” claiming President Donald Trump “is strangling the USPS to hack the November election.”

The conspiracy claims that the Trump administration is tampering with post collection boxes in an effort to suppress votes leading up to the 2020 election. The allegations have been thoroughly debunked, but this has not stopped some from continuing to push the topic.

In fact, two Democraticcongressmen wrote a letter to the FBI Monday pushing for a criminal investigation into Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the WSJ editorial board noted. Pelosi announced Sunday that she is calling the House back into session due to the alleged concerns.

Pennsylvania Republican Invites Portlanders to His District to Escape Riots

A Republican congressional candidate from Pennsylvania is inviting Portlanders who are fed up with their city’s violent protests and riots to move to his district—which doesn’t "tolerate any of that horse****"—in a new campaign ad.

"I've heard you’ve been having a few issues. Something about peaceful gatherings, interruptions to business, and local citizens dissatisfied with your leadership," Jim Bognet, who’s running in Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District, said in the ad. "We won’t tolerate any of that horse**** around here."

Between clips of rioters setting off explosives and looters hauling armfuls of stolen merchandise, Bognet encourages Portland families and businesses to consider moving to his police-loving district.

"If you’re a family or business living in Portland that’s leaning toward leaving for whatever reason, consider Northeast Pennsylvania," Bognet said. "We're all about Made in America, we’re known for our midsize paper industry, and we love the police—well, maybe not our current congressman, but I’ll be taking care of him soon."

The ad will run on KOIN, Portland’s CBS affiliate, Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

Heroes Died for What the Flag Represents. Why We Stand for It Today.

An American flag waves over the head of a black man. Surrounded by acts of injustice, rage, and violence, he wears a uniform tinged with red and kneels in the midst of a green field.

A calling has led him to this place, a desire to “serve my God serving my country and my oppressed brothers.”

This man is William Carney, the date is 1863, and the place is Fort Wagner, the southern approach to the harbor in Charleston, South Carolina.

Carney’s regiment, the 54th Massachusetts Infantry, had been tasked with serving as the spearhead of the Union assault. As the bullets whistling past claimed the life of the color sergeant, Carney picked up the flag and led the assault on the Confederate position.

2 Reports Buttress Trump Policies Banning Abortion Funding Abroad, Fetal Tissue Research at Home

The government issued two reports Tuesday evaluating the Trump administration’s pro-life policies that curb taxpayer funding for abortion-related matters here and abroad.

The State Department issued a status report early Tuesday on the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance policy, which requires foreign nongovernmental organizations getting U.S. taxpayer funding to agree not to perform or actively promote abortion.

Then, late Tuesday afternoon, the administration released recommendations by an ethics advisory board to Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar on alternatives to research using fetal tissue from abortions.

The restriction on federal funding of abortions by foreign entities applies to the State Department, the Defense Department, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID.

Professor Prohibits Students From Criticizing Abortion and Black Lives Matter

School says the policy violates the First Amendment

It includes a "GIANT WARNING" that contradicting certain viewpoints may result in dismissal from class.

"Any instances of othering … are grounds for dismissal from the classroom," the syllabus obtained by Young America's Foundation reads. "The same goes for any papers/projects: you cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn't deserve the same basic human rights as you do (i.e.: no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.)"

Two of the Biggest Names in Democratic Sexual Deviance Address DNC

Two of the most powerful names in Democratic sexual deviance were featured back-to-back on the second night of the Democratic National Convention. Caroline Kennedy, the aristocrat daughter of former President John F. Kennedy, and her annoying son Jack Schlossberg addressed the virtual convention on Tuesday, followed immediately by former President Bill Clinton.

Former President Kennedy, as well as his younger brother, former senator and renowned Chappaquiddick motorist Ted Kennedy, were prolific sexual deviants in their day. Both were Democrats, obviously. John was known for sleeping with White House interns and forcing them to satisfy his staff members on demand. In addition to drowning a woman in car, Ted was known for his alcohol-drenched antics and the time he made a "waitress sandwich" with Chris Dodd, who co-chaired Joe Biden's VP selection committee.

UPDATE: Joe Biden Still Doesn't Know How Many Grandchildren He Has

Joe Biden claims to believe in science, but continues to ignore the scientific evidence regarding the number of grandchildren he has.
During a recent interview with Cardi B, the legendary hip-hop icon whose hit track "Wet [A-word] [P-word]" has all but locked up Song of the Summer status for 2020, the former VP claimed to be an "expert" on raising children, but once again misstated the number of biological grandchildren that actual scientific and legal experts have determined him to have. "I’ve got four kids, five grandchildren—c’mon, I’m an expert," Biden said, erroneously.
FACT CHECK: FALSE!
Biden has seven grandchildren. His deceased son Beau had two children, Natalie and Hunter. His degenerate son Hunter, a 2019 Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year, has three children from a previous marriage—Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisy. In March, he celebrated the birth of a son, Beau, with his current wife, Melissa Cohen. That's six.

Michelle Obama Urges In-Person Voting After Democrats Argued It Posed a Dire Threat

Former first lady Michelle Obama said Americans should vote "in person if we can" in her speech Monday night at the Democratic National Convention, marking a departure from Democrats' approach to in-person voting.

"We've got to request our mail-in ballots right now, tonight, and send them back immediately and follow up to make sure they're received, and then make sure our friends and families do the same," Obama said.

Her remarks come after Democratic leaders warned in the midst of several primary contests this spring that in-person voting would lead to outbreaks of the coronavirus. Democrats pushed unsuccessfully to extend voting in the Wisconsin primary, which took place in early April, arguing the coronavirus posed a threat to voters who visit the polls.

After the Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Wisconsin Democrats, DNC chairman Tom Perez said the election was a "dark day" for American democracy.
