COUNCILWOMAN SAMPLE-HUGHES RE-SCHEDULES NEXT DISTRICT ONE CITIZEN’S FORUM

Wicomico County Councilwoman Sheree Sample-Hughes will hold the next in a series of District One Citizen’s Forum meetings on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 7:00 P.M. at Salisbury Fire Department Station 16 on Cypress Street in Salisbury. The meeting had been originally set for June 24th.

The program will focus on the just-approved Fiscal Year 2010 Wicomico County Operating Budget.

Councilwoman Sample-Hughes said that she will be joined by Sub-District 37A Delegate Rudolph C. Cane, Wicomico County Council President John Cannon, 1st Sergeant Tim Robinson representing Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis and Wicomico County Public Information Officer Jim Fineran representing Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr.

Wicomico County District One includes Delmar, Hebron, San Domingo, Salisbury- West Side and Mardela Springs. Mrs. Sample-Hughes said the over-all theme of the forums is “Creating Community Connections.” She commented that the purpose of the forums is to provide citizens with an opportunity to speak face-to-face with their elected officials. She further noted that this is the continuation of the fulfillment of her campaign promise to hold quarterly meetings throughout District One.

Mrs. Sample-Hughes said that “I encourage as many of my constituents who possibly can to join us for this important meeting.”

I need to plan to be at this meeting. Why did it take a month to re-schedule, I wonder?

I'm not wasting my time. All she does is hold quarterly meetings and vote with John Cannon, no matter what. She's just another do nothing follower without an original thought in her head. District 1 needs someone with a backbone, she doesn't have one.
