Flat Land Search and Rescue contacted me this morning with some more information that everyone interested in participating in this search needs to know.
The team is only meeting at the Elks Lounge parking lot for about 15 minutes the day of the search.
After the briefing they will go to the farm which is located at 2911 Byrd Road in Pocomoke ..
We ask that no one leave vehicles at the Elks Lounge parking lot.
When everyone arrives at the farm all will proceed to the staging area for assignments.
Everyone please have proper Identification with you.
Please have your signed Indemnification Form.
If you have health issues or allergies please have some type of document listing them ( notebook paper will be fine).
Please have proper gear:
Gloves
Boots
Denim or canvas Pants and shirt ,
Water bottle and energy snack
All weather coat / jacket
Safety Glasses Recommended
We only ask that people bring what they have.

Did any of you "budding Clouseau's" involved in this search ask the Elks if you could use their property for your initial staging area???

I didn't think you would.
I have No idea who called who, as I stated in yesterday's post this was the information given to me and I took the time to write it up and post it.
If someone from the Elks has a problem with it, because you are insinuating that Flat Land never contacted them, then they should contact them and tell them so.
There are two email contact points and the Presidents phone #.
As stated in this article the team was merely meeting at the Elks and would not be leaving any vehicles there.
I'm not quite sure exactly what the problem would be, but if there is there is plenty of contact information on this site and on the Tattler that if the Elks were not contacted and asked then I'm sure it can be handled.
The Google Maps do not give an accurate location for 2911 Byrd Rd. If you look above red POINT A you will see a set of horizontal chicken houses and above those are a set of vertical ones. The 2 vertical chicken houses belong to 2911. To the left of those houses are the outbuildings and the farmhouse. If you follow Byrd Rd back up from POINT A, the driveway to 2911 is the 3rd one on the right.
