Martin Gugino, 75, was shoved while approaching riot police in Buffalo causing him to stumble backwards and hit his head, resulting in a melt-down of intense fury on social media. Far from being an innocent old man as being portrayed by some, it turns out that Gugino is a longtime hard left agitator.
At the time of this writing, it appears that Gugino’s Facebook and Twitter accounts have been deleted. The accounts, which were researched by RAIR Foundation USA, revealed a seasoned leftist activist who had a self-described “obsession” with Cuba. Gugino has ties to radical socialist Catholic Worker Movement, which is behind the “Witness Against Torture” program, formed in 2005 to “build awareness about torture and indefinite detention, focusing on Guantanamo prisoners.”
Before deleting his account, some screenshots were archived:

Barr accuses FBI of being 'spring-loaded' to investigate Trump-Russian
Attorney General Bill Barr has said that U.S. Attorney John Durham's probe into the origins of the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation is looking at 'some' individuals who will be familiar to the American public.
In an interview broadcast Tuesday, Barr said that the Durham team 'has been working very aggressively to move forward,' and that there 'will be public disclosure' of his findings.
Barr would not say for certain that criminal charges would be filed as a result of Durham's investigation, which Barr directed after special counsel Robert Mueller filed his report more than a year ago.
But he indicated he was not simply interested in having Durham file a report.
'This isn't being driven by producing a report. We are trying to get to a point where we can hold accountable anyone who crossed the line and committed a criminal violation,' Barr told Fox News in an interview.
'So that's, I think, what would be the initial stage of a resolution of Durham's investigation. But I also think that there will be public disclosure and some form of reporters at by appropriate,' he said.

Minnesota AG Keith Ellison May Have Just Screwed Up Case Against George Floyd Cops
I’m no legal expert, but I wondered to myself if Keith Ellison hadn’t overcharged the cop who killed George Floyd. Now there’s someone much smarter than I who agrees.
Andy McCarthy, who writes for National Review, is a former federal prosecutor and has been a trusted guest on my radio show for the better part of 20 years. He believes Ellison might have just colossally screwed up his case against the cops. My words, not his. McCarthy called Ellison’s amended charges “dangerously flawed.”
Overcharging is tantamount to over-promising. It’s perceived as overly punitive and less thoughtful in some cases. Sure, everyone’s angry. Sure, Floyd’s death appears to be criminal. But you’ve got to be able to prove what you charge.
Ellison may have just Peter Principled himself out of this prosecution.
Police officer Derek Chauvin took a knee on the neck of George Floyd for nearly nine minutes. The hold on his neck, not part of any police training, killed Floyd. Floyd, who had drugs in his system and a heart condition, panicked and couldn’t breathe.

University to Investigate Lecturer for Reading MLK’s Letter from Birmingham Jail
UCLA politics department condemns white lecturer for reading n-word, showing documentary addressing lynching
The University of California Los Angeles has launched an inquiry into a teacher for reading aloud Martin Luther King's "Letter from Birmingham Jail" because the civil rights document includes the n-word.
In a department-wide email obtained exclusively by the Washington Free Beacon, UCLA political science chair Michael Chwe and two other department leaders condemned lecturer W. Ajax Peris's use of the racially incendiary word in a lecture he was delivering about the history of racism against African Americans. UCLA officials said the department referred Peris, an Air Force veteran, to the university's Discrimination Prevention Office (DPO) and urged students to come forward with complaints. The email also faulted the postdoctoral lecturer for showing a documentary to the class in which a lynching is described and not stopping the presentation when students complained.
"The lecturer also showed a portion of a documentary which included graphic images and descriptions of lynching, with a narrator who quoted the n-word in explaining the history of lynching. Many students expressed distress and anger regarding the lecture and the lecturer's response to their concerns during the lecture," said the letter, which was signed by Chwe, vice chair for graduate studies Lorrie Frasure, and vice chair for undergraduate studies Chris Tausanovitch. "We share students' concerns that the lecturer did not simply pause and reassess their teaching pedagogy to meet the students' needs."
In a video taken by a UCLA student, Peris, who is white, can be heard reading King's celebrated letter written in the aftermath of the civil rights leader's arrest for demonstrating against Jim Crow laws. The letter was read in tandem with his lecture on the history of racism against African Americans in the United States.

Attorney General Frosh Urges Court to Halt Trump EPA’s Non-Enforcement of Federal Environmental and Public Health Laws
BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh joined a coalition of nine states in urging a U.S. District Court to halt an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) policy that has effectively waived industry compliance with pollution monitoring and reporting requirements—cornerstones of federal environmental and public health laws—due to COVID-19. This action follows a lawsuit that the coalition brought against the EPA on May 13, challenging the policy for being overly-broad, lacking transparency and accountability, and likely resulting in increased pollution by industry and a corresponding harm to public health and the environment.
“Trump’s EPA has announced that it will not do its job. We are asking the Court to order them back to work ,” said Attorney General Frosh. “Failing to enforce environmental regulations will harm public health, especially in those communities already disproportionately suffering from the effects of COVID-19.”
In a preliminary injunction motion filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York yesterday, the coalition argues that a halt to the EPA non-enforcement policy is necessary to prevent the increased pollution it incentivizes from occurring while the court considers the coalition’s claims.
On March 26, the EPA issued the non-enforcement policy, which applies retroactively to March 13, and has no end date. The policy states that the EPA will not take enforcement action against companies that violate existing reporting and monitoring requirements for laws like the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Safe Drinking Water Acts, provided that the companies link COVID-19 to their non-compliance. The policy also makes it optional for parties to report such non-compliance to the EPA.
The coalition recognizes the immense challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its response. However, the coalition argues that it was arbitrary and capricious for the EPA to adopt an “across the board” guarantee of non-enforcement without considering how it will affect public health. Further, as a number of states have demonstrated, there are reasonable alternatives to such a blanket waiver that would strike a better balance between regulatory flexibility and the agency’s mandate to protect public health and the environment.
The coalition’s motion argues that the EPA failed to consider the potential impacts of increased pollution from industry’s noncompliance with monitoring and reporting requirements on public health. The results of this policy could be particularly troubling for communities located near industrial facilities. These communities, which are frequently low-income and minority, bear a greater burden from increased pollution than the general public. Importantly, the EPA has adopted the non-enforcement policy at a time when low-income and minority communities are also suffering disproportionately from COVID-19 and as emerging evidence increasingly shows that exposure to air pollution corresponds with more serious cases of COVID-19.
Joining Attorney General Frosh in the preliminary injunction motion are the attorneys general of California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Virginia, and Vermont.

Harvard University Professor Indicted on False Statement Charges
The former Chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department was indicted today on charges of making false statements to federal authorities regarding his participation in China’s Thousand Talents Program.
Dr. Charles Lieber, 61, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of making false statements and will be arraigned in federal court in Boston at a later date. Lieber was arrested on Jan. 28, 2020, and charged by criminal complaint.
According to charging documents, since 2008, Dr. Lieber has served as the Principal Investigator of the Lieber Research Group at Harvard University, specializing in the area of nanoscience. Lieber’s research at the Lieber Research Group has been funded by more than $15 million in research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DOD). Among other things, these grants required the disclosure of all sources of research support, potential financial conflicts of interest and all foreign collaboration.
It is alleged that, unbeknownst to Harvard University, beginning in 2011, Lieber became a “Strategic Scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in China. He later became contractual participant in China’s Thousand Talents Plan from at least 2012 through 2015. China’s Thousand Talents Plan is one of the most prominent Chinese talent recruitment plans designed to attract, recruit, and cultivate high-level scientific talent in furtherance of China’s scientific development, economic prosperity and national security. According to court documents, these talent recruitment plans seek to lure Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts to bring their knowledge and experience to China, and they often reward individuals for stealing proprietary information. Under the terms of Lieber’s three-year Thousand Talents contract, WUT allegedly paid Lieber a salary of up to $50,000 USD per month, living expenses of up to 1 million Chinese Yuan (approximately $158,000 USD at the time) and awarded him more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at WUT. In return, Lieber was obligated to work for WUT “not less than nine months a year” by “declaring international cooperation projects, cultivating young teachers and Ph.D. students, organizing international conference[s], applying for patents and publishing articles in the name of [WUT].”

BOMBSHELL: BlackLivesMatter.com Caught Money Laundering
(Gateway Pundit) – BlackLivesMatter.com appears to be an international money laundering scheme used by the Democrats to raise money from an international audience.
Black Lives Matter describes itself on its “BlackLivesMatter.com” website as a global organization:
The Wikipedia website describes Black Lives Matter as:
Black Lives Matter (BLM) is an international human rights movement, originating from within the African-American community, which campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people. BLM regularly holds protests speaking out against police brutality and police killings of black people, and broader issues such as racial profiling, and racial inequality in the United States criminal justice system.
So we know for sure that BLM is a “global” / “international” network because they admit this.

'Cops' defunded: Police reality show is CANCELLED after 33 seasons
The long-running reality television series Cops has been permanently pulled off the air and competitor Live PD has gone on hiatus amid protests over police brutality and the death of George Floyd.
The season premier of Cops season 33 did not air as scheduled on Paramount Networks on Monday night, and now the channel says it is pulling the plug on the show for good.
'Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don´t have any current or future plans for it to return,' a spokesperson for the cable channel said in a statement.
Paramount Network owner ViacomCBS made headlines earlier this week when on Monday the company's cable networks went dark for eight minutes and 46 seconds -- the amount of time that a Minneapolis police officer kept his knee on Floyd's neck before his death.

What is herd immunity and could it work with COVID-19?
Herd immunity is when a virus can no longer spread easily because enough people are immune to it. That lowers the chances of the virus jumping from person to person and reaching those who haven't been infected yet.
People can become immune to certain viruses after surviving infection or being vaccinated. Typically, at least 70% of a population must be immune to achieve herd immunity. But how long immunity lasts varies depending on the virus, and it's not yet known how long COVID-19 survivors might have that protection.
How easily the virus spreads also plays a key role.
Say, for example, someone who's infected with a particular virus typically transmits it to two others. The chances of that person passing it on to others would be lower if half the population is already immune, said Dr. Walter Orenstein, a vaccine expert at Emory University.
The odds of transmission fall further if even more of the population is immune. That could cause new infections to die out.
But if a virus is more infectious, a higher percentage of people would need to have immunity to stop the spread and achieve herd immunity, Orenstein said.

FORMER MCPD OFFICER FALSELY ACCUSED IN BICYCLE ASSAULT SPEAKS OUT
When a video of the Bethesda bicyclist who assaulted three young adults went viral, social media lit up with incriminating and vicious comments about former Montgomery County Police Captain John Damskey.
Some tweets pointed to Damskey without any proof, another accused the entire MCPD of protecting the retired Damskey.
But Damskey was not involved at all. Police have arrested Anthony Brennan III of Kensington and charged him with three counts of second-degree assault in connection with the June 1 assault at the Capital Crescent Trail.
At first, Damskey wasn’t aware of the assault. A few days later, his wife got a message on social media saying she should be ashamed of her husband.
Confused, he immediately Googled his name and was inundated with derogatory tweets not just about him, but also his son, Michael, who is a MCPD police officer.
After that, “the phone calls didn’t stop,” he said. “It was absolutely incredible,” he said.
First, his phone would ring, but he didn’t answer. A second later, his wife’s phone would ring. Then his 76-year-old mother’s phone, he said.

Candace Owens Shuts Down AOC’s Attack On Kayleigh McEnany: “You are stupid, incomprehensibly stupid”
Kayleigh McEnany held a press conference yesterday at the White House said President Trump was “appalled” at the defund the police movement and she named and shamed a few “sitting Congresswomen” who were backing the movement.
She mentioned Rashida Tlaib and “Biden advisor” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as two that are backing the movement.
Politico’s Jake Sherman tagged AOC in a tweet that said McEnany said “from the podium: ‘Biden adviser Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.’”
AOC was not happy and snapped back without having watched the full press conference and accused McEnany of racism for not calling her Congresswoman.
AOC then got all arrogant and embarrassed herself saying she would “look forward to her apology.”
“@PressSec wouldn’t be the first person to mistake a women of color for having a lower position or title than she does, but Kayleigh – in case you haven’t picked up a newspaper in two years, I’m a Congresswoman,” AOC tweeted.

Plan to remove police from Prince George's County Public Schools passes first step
HYATTSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A proposal to remove police from Prince George's County Public Schools passed the first step on Monday night -- but there are questions over whether it would even be legal based on current Maryland law.
Several PGCPS board members announced their proposal at a Black Lives Matter protest outside the District Court in Hyattsville, calling for armed police to be removed from schools entirely.
"What we're saying is that there's not a place for police officers, armed police officers in Prince George's County Public Schools and not only that... we think that that money can be better served supporting our students with more social workers, more mental health professionals, more academic interventionists to get elementary school students reading on grade level," said PGCPS school board member David Murray.
This comes after more than a week of nationwide protests over the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. The school system there ended its contract with the Minneapolis Police Department.

Coronavirus: Asymptomatic spread 'appears to be rare,' WHO official says
The spread of coronavirus by people not showing symptoms "appears to be rare," a World Health Organization [WHO] official said Monday.
“We have a number of reports from countries who are doing very detailed contact tracing – they are following asymptomatic cases, they are following contacts and they are not finding secondary transmission onward, it’s very rare,” Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove said during a news briefing. “Much of that is not published in the literature.”
“We’re constantly looking at this data, and we’re trying to get more information from countries to truly answer this question,” she added. “It still appears to be rare that an asymptomatic individual actually transmits onward.”
Speaking during the briefing, the head of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, warned that the coronavirus pandemic was worsening globally, even as the situation in Europe was improving.

Be Courageous And Stand Firm, America—We Do Not Kneel
Americans didn't kneel to British tyranny, Nazi fascism, or Soviet communism. We won't kneel for a collective guilt movement that's gone off the rails.
Those who live in the far north in author George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels live by one principle: “We do not kneel.” They call themselves the “Free Folk.”
That used to be a label that was proudly worn by all Americans. But a still-too-unquestioned movement pushing guilt-by-associated-skin-tone has begun to undo one of this nation’s bedrock ideals.
The kneeling phenomenon demanded by the radical left in the wake of George Floyd’s death—and embraced by those guilted into submission—creates a two-tiered social stratification of “kneelers” and “those who refuse to bend the knee” that’s wholly un-American.
Mobs resulting from years of citizens saturated in “critical race theory” and grievance studies have pressured far too many into believing they bear guilt for the past sins of others. Now they kneel in fealtyto that false reality or are exiled from society.
Unfortunately, it’s also moved beyond just kneeling.

BREAKING: 60% of Voters Believe Some Media Want Shutdown to Drag On to Hurt Trump in November
(CNS News) -- A new survey released this morning shows that 59.8% of likely voters, liberal and conservative, believe that "some members of the media" would like to see the coronavirus shutdown drag on so that "it hurts" President Donald Trump's chances of reelection in November.
“This is just more evidence of how at odds the American liberal media are with the American public,” said Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell. “Honest journalism has been replaced with leftist advocacy. Even in these divisive times, both conservatives and liberals can agree on one thing: the media have it out for President Trump.”

A trio of Chinese telecommunications companies operated in the US for roughly two decades without proper oversight from government agencies, according to a report on Tuesday.
The bipartisan Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations found failure to respond to national security threats posed by three firms – China Telecom Americas, China Unicom Americas and ComNet USA, The Hill reported.
Since 2002, the three companies have built relationships with major US carriers and established a presence across the country.
The Federal Communications Commission used Team Telecom, made up from officials in the departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Defense, to oversee foreign telecom companies, the report said.
But the Senate report noted that Team Telecom did not have the statutory authority and resources to carry out that role.

McEnany calls out top CNN anchors by name for encouraging violent protests
'Show me where it says protestors are supposed to be peaceful'
(FOX NEWS) -- White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany called out CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon for their recent rhetoric about violent protests during Monday’s news briefing.
A reporter asked if President Trump was sorry for the way peaceful protestors have been treated, as the nation has been flooded with protests, which have sometimes turned violent, since George Floyd’s Memorial Day death in police custody.
“The president is sorry about the fact that Antifa wreaked havoc in our streets, and the failure of some members of the media to note that, like CNN’s Chris Cuomo said, ‘Show me where it says protestors are supposed to be peaceful.’ Well, I point him to the First Amendment where it is said you have the right to ‘peaceably assemble.’ He should go back and read the Constitution,” McEnany said.

Bill de Blasio flips, now vows to defund New York police
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio knuckled under to protesters Sunday and promised to cut funding to “New York’s Finest.”
Just two days after speaking skeptically of demands by Black Lives Matter and other protesters to defund the police, Mr. de Blasio agreed to start doing so, though he gave few specifics.
“We’re committed to seeing a shift of funding to youth services, to social services, that will happen literally in the course of the next three weeks, but I’m not going to go into detail because it is subject to negotiation and we want to figure out what makes sense,” the mayor said, the New York Times reported Sunday.
He said, according to the Times, that the details of the funding cuts would be worked out before the city’s July 1 budget deadline.
New York City spends about $6 billion of its $90 billion budget on policing.

Pelosi, Dems Mocked Over Ridiculous Photo Op Of Kneeling In African Garb
Democrats and their racial pandering may have finally jumped the shark on Monday after Nancy Pelosi led her troops in a ridiculous photo op in the U.S Capitol that was so cringeworthy that it has elicited widespread mockery.
In the effort to extract the maximum amount of political capital from the tragic killing of an unarmed black man by a vicious Minneapolis cop, Pelosi and her minions showed up in Emancipation Hall to take a knee and for good measure, wore African scarves as a prop.

George W. Bush Spox Says NYT Article Claiming He Won’t Be Voting For Trump ‘Is Completely Made Up’
Former President George W. Bush’s spokesman vehemently denied an article from the New York Times that alleged he would not be voting for President Donald Trump in 2020.
The NYT reported Saturday that a slew of high-profile Republicans do not plan on supporting Trump’s reelection. Included in that list was Bush, and the NYT cited “people familiar with their thinking.”
“This is completely made up,” Bush’s spokesman Freddy Ford said in an email according to the Texas Tribune. “He is retired from presidential politics and has not indicated how he will vote.”

Reopening Maryland: Eastern Shore Business Owners Call On Hogan To Lift All Coronavirus Restrictions
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — While most of Maryland moved into the second phase of Gov. Larry Hogan’s Roadmap to Recovery plan on Friday, a group of business owners on the Eastern Shore is calling for the governor to go even further.
At a press conference Monday, business owners from a variety of industries called on the governor to reopen the state. More than a dozen business owners attended the rally to ask Governor Hogan to give them a fighting chance.
“Please, Governor Hogan, give us the chance to open and stay in business,” said Antoinette Bruno, owner of Trimper’s Rides in Ocean City.
From amusement parks to gyms, wedding venues and restaurants, business owners shared stories of a turbulent three months.
“My business operations had to completely change,” said Nick Wake, owner of the restaurant Tenchi in Greensboro. “My employees’ lives were completely changed.”
While some asked for guidance from the governor, others shared steps they have taken to keep employees and patrons safe when they open.
“We have added sanitizing solution that we use to spray down the go-carts and specifically wipe down the steering wheels and seat belt buckles, miniature golf clubs and any other high-touch surface areas in the park,” said Valerie Kramer with West Ocean City-based Baja Amusements.

Epic video rant by black woman unable to loot cell phone store because it's guarded by 'Ayrabs'
A Chicago woman, evidently frustrated by armed guards at a local cell phone preventing her acquisition of new equipment during the recent rioting, tells us a lot about the state of thinking in the riot-American community. She's not showing a lot of intersectional solidarity with Muslim immigrants, whom she denounces as not real Africans because they are from Morocco (she says), and at one point, she repeatedly yells, "Burn them, Allah!" as she drives by, circling around to extend the harangue.
It's unfair, you see, because the black lives she thinks they will take are not insured, though she presumes the store is.
Beth Baumann of Townhall transcribed parts of the rant, for instance:
"They let these people come outside with they AK-47s. AK-47s to protect they stuff from black people. They ready to kill black people, the Arabs, the fake-a-- Ramadan m------------. They got M-16s, AK with they people's out here. Everything y'all. Look at this s---," she said, flipping the camera to a nearby store. "They got m----------- AKs out here and I'm going to get my cousin that's a police officer right now and ask him are they legally able to carry these m------------ guns like this."
There are two versions available below. The first is 2 minutes and 20 seconds long, while the second is 9 minutes and 47 seconds of nearly nonstop profanity. Readers are cautioned that her vocabulary is as limited as it is vulgar.
She is definitely a "black protester," not an "outsider" or an Antifa activist.

Nunes: More criminal referrals on Obamagate to be given to DOJ
"At least another 5, possibly as many as 10"
Another round of criminal referrals stemming from the Obama administration's Russia-collusion investigation will be delivered to the Department of Justice as soon as this week, according to U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
The Washington Examiner reports Nunes said enough evidence has been assembled for at least another five and possibly as many as 10 requests for prosecution.
A list of eight criminal referrals was sent to the DOJ last year.
Nunes is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, where Republicans are ready to make another move.
Nunes said he and his Republican colleagues want to "get it right," but they plan to send the referrals within the next "week to 10 days or so."
