  1. No face masks, no social distancing. Very troubling.

    1. You watched this and that’s all you’ve got to say. WTF is wrong with you. You’re worried about effing masks, when someone is about to be stomped to death by a crowd. That’s it, that’s all you’ve got? How about condemning this behavior.

  2. I hope your providing this video to police. Are those two boys ok?

    1. I would imagine OCPD has this already in addition to the multiple cameras on the boardwalk. I would think they will be identifying those involved, getting warrants and like paperwork ready for multiple cell phones held by the kids. Might be a real good idea to have a curfew for the under 21 crowd from 10 pm to 6 am.( unless they are with their parents) - it won’t solve all the problems, but might quiet things down.

  3. No place for a family vacation. Thugs have been ruining OC for years and getting away with it. Gonna get worse now.

  4. Why weren’t the police called? This is totally inexcusable behavior!

    ReplyDelete
  5. This is what you want, deal with it. You'd better get your kids into some sort of self defense training because it's only going to get worse

    ReplyDelete
  6. “Where’s the police?!” Ohhhh, now you want the police. They’ve been “defunded” at your request. Deal w it.

    1. 7:37 - I don’t believe anyone has requested that police in Worcester county be defunded.

    2. Floyd family mouth piece has request UN to defund globally.

  7. Bruce Springsteen lyric from My Hometown. "been a lot of fights, between black and whites, there's nothing we could do" Going to get worse if we let it!

  9. Like how the cowards just sit and record instead on doing something about it, until people step up you are gking to continue to see this. I would of gone down there and started throwing punches, age means nothing when someone's life isvin danger.

    1. While I agree with the spirit of your comment Mr. Heckman, adding fuel to a mob fire by joining in on the melee only will result in injury for you and others. The wiser move is to call the police and accurately provide descriptions while another concentrates on getting the clearest video possible to submit as evidence.

    2. The coward were probably part of the THUG gang

    3. 9:21 Spoken like I true security guard lol.....Been there done that, why security companies are not respected anymore.

    4. Mr. Heckman, if that had been my son on the ground I would have been most appreciative of you and others to step in. Although not directed at you, I’ve seen at times it doesn’t work well. You go to help a wife and she turn on you for touching her husband after she just got off the ground. You probably have seen that type of thing.

    5. @8:58- everyone isn't scared to get an ass whooping. Maybe getting my ass beat or hurt has never stopped my one time for standing up for someone weak or myself. How do any of us know that whoever is getting beat in doesn't deserve it. You don't you don't know nothing.

  10. Where is the leadership in OC that claims they are a family resort? Greed is more important to them than safety. Perhaps a law suit or two will wake them up!

  11. Great job Ricky! Should be your ass.

  12. This wasn't just last night's example of what the boardwalk has become, it's most nights. This was a week night. The weekends are much worse. There was a stabbing Saturday night around 4th St. There have been numerous "strong arm" (police description) robberies in the downtown area. I don't know what can be done but it has become really bad and seems to be getting worse.

  13. Open business back up NOW and get rid of welfare. It is the only way. This is a culture issue. Once your belly burns and you have to earn a wage, then compassion comes. This is not going to get better, it will only get worse. So dangerous now to be white. OC won't need to worry about surviving covid. They won't survive black lives matter. And yes I do believe black lives matter, but we are being run over by thugs. There are bad cops but more good. This is being used as a excuse to hurt people. What is it they want?

  14. Way to Go Rickie......this has already gone to many TV stations in the area.

    Done buddy...Done.

  15. Not sure what precipitated the altercation but it would be interesting to see a one on one encounter. BLM is emboldened when they outnumber their adversary and are able to sucker punch and kick at will when the victim is down and out. How are they when they face someone their own size mano a mano?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I opened this thinking it was a group of business folks rallying the governor to open up. Not to my surprise it was a group of cowards thrashing on a helpless victim. He may have instigated it, I don’t know and doesn’t matter. How a coward can kick and do whatever is beyond my mentality. I hear someone say where are the police. So, do you want to defund or abolish police or do you want them when you need them? Make up your mind, it won’t be both. If I may, how long do we go on a crisis. At first it was a virus, then stumbles in the riots. Now it is Floyd. He has been paraded all over the world, laying at state like a politician or whatever. I turn the tube on two or three times yesterday thinking it was over but such is not the case. Will services continue until tornadoes take the spotlight? Thank goodness for Music Choice, YouTube, Pandora etc.

  17. Animals! The boardwalk and streets need to be heavily controlled and punishments need to be severe for law breakers or you can kiss OC goodbye. I will not be going to the boardwalk until this lawlessness is in check. Horrible for OC businesses. What say the mayor, police chief, sheriff, and MSP?
Did the people filming just film or did the call the police?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Why can’t this be shown on our local news stations?

  19. Absolutely disgusting!!!! I cannot believe the cops never showed up with the almost 5min video. I really hope the O.C. police have seen this video

  20. So, at face value this video is horrific.

We don't know the full story of what happened, so I reserve judgement until all sides and all details emerge. We don't know why those boys were attacked.

Even if we did know, the beating was certainly seems uncalled for, especially the boy sitting down who was knocked out, then appears to have his wallet stolen.

What is MORE disturbing is all of the people just standing around watching and not trying to stop this. How many people passively letting this happen? We have to be better than this.

  21. Facebook already has it too - viral has commenced.

    June Bugs in full "swing".

Look closely, about the 225 or 235 mark, a gentleman with a hoodie has something that shines in his hand (knife possibly).

    Great times indeed!

  22. Where is the hell were the police? They have no problem taking the time to police open container, weed and public intoxication but they don’t have officers stationed on the boardwalk during senior week. I know for a fact that the police department watches all of the boardwalk on camera from their offices on 65th street.

  23. There was BB gun shooting on 9th street last Saturday in the afternoon.

  24. 750 - leadership goes to sleep at sundown. Sunrise all is well and good. They show those pretty sunrise pictures all the time and boast how great our City is.

Remember - they go to sleep at sundown and at sun-up all is well.

  25. This is just one reason why nobody goes to the boards. I laughed out loud when Rick did his photo op at 8 pm with a heavy police presence. He is a thought Rick, go down to the boards by yourself about 11:30 or so and engage the packs of wild animals there and explain that they should stop behaving badly, because, we’ll.... it’s a family resort. Oh yeah, before I forget - Rick, if the town is dealing with this now, what do you suppose will happen later this summer? How about in the early fall when H2oi shows up?

  26. Thought the police had boardwalk cameras. Guess it was break time for whoever was monitoring them

  27. Looks like a pack of dogs. Are they going to charge all the bystanders that did nothing like the officers they claim were also responsible in Minn.?

  28. Had a similar instance in wicomico county three days ago. Doing my morning walk I was confronted by a pack of wicomico counties public schools finest. They cussed and threatened me to no end even threatening to take my walking stick and shove it where the sun don't shine. I invited them out on to public property to make good on the threat, and yes the WHOLE group came. They were all big and bad until I pulled out of my pocket my "guardian angel". Mind you this was 6:00 AM when I felt all of this ridiculousness could be avoided

    1. Screw md. Cal laws. Everybody arm up. The police can't be everywhere. Speaking of the police why don't we hear you screaming in Annapolis about the ridicules cal requirements so we can protect our families when we go grocery shopping. Where is your voice to protect ourselves knowing you are overwhelmed, or are you just listening to your superiors so you don't lose your jobs. Where are all the retired officers voices who do not have to be worried about getting fired.

    2. What area of the county or city? I'd like to avoid a similar encounter.

  29. I’m sure Ross and Ricky were in bed hours before this happened. Bernadette and Mathis would have literally been on the streets keeping this trash in check

  30. The police would have been on video thrashing these ghetto bums and would get accused of racism. If I was a cop I would not get involved anymore. Let them beat each other who cares.

  34. This can't be shown on the local news because it doesn't fit the liberal agenda. Whites=evil, blacks=victims. I am truly starting to wonder if there will be anywhere left for conservatives to go when this alt-left movement gets its way...

    ReplyDelete
  35. We all know darn well the cops knew this was going on and were told to stand down. The cops are everywhere down there busting people for peeing in a dark corner but afraid to stop this kind of stuff.
Also, are little white girls too stupid to get the hell out of there thinking nobody will hurt them?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh my - today is gonna be a good day in OC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Indeed!

    ReplyDelete
  37. The police are too busy pulling people over for having a loud exhaust. Where were the 20 cops that sit on 50 between the bridge and Jerry Mack road? When the cops don't do their jobs all that's left is for the people to rise up and do it themselves.

  42. Wow, I wouldn’t go out on the boardwalk for anything or anybody. The thugs have become entitled and the cops scared to death.

  43. How about the women calls the police instead of watching and giving the narration of what we all can see is a modern day attack. Knocked out and robbed probably concussions. But I’ll keep filming and complaining about lack of le... absurd

  44. This is how Atlantic City fell from a "family" vacation destination and NEVER was able to climb back out of that hell hole.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The rentals have to warn the kids do not go out after around midnight. OC has a history of local thugs showing up and prowling the deserted streets and the boardwalk looking for victims during June Bug season. A lot of the kids have been drinking and are easy marks for the thugs.

  46. Prime example of why my family only goes to OC in the winter only. Thugs who are now untouchable appear to have the right to do these things with impunity. Welcome to Fort Apache

  49. Dear Steve Hammond and other Sorry-Ass local media,

If you really cared about Delmarva and the USA, you'd get off your ass and televise this instead of the lionization of George Floyd!

Jimmy Hoppa, you seed like a decent guy. This behavior makes me sick to my stomach! What about you? Albero's the only one with big enough stones to tell people what's really happening.

As your savior Sloe Biden would say "Come on Man"!

  50. 9:17 have you been to AC? It as well as Wildwood are much more family oriented then OC. AC has so much for the kids to do compared to OC. The class of people is better in AC and Wildwood also. In the middle of the night both boardwalks don't have near the trouble OC has. It's because the local thugs go to OC to fight, rob, rape and cause other problems.
