PRICELESS: Watch DNC Chairwoman Try To Explain Difference Between Socialist and Democrat
It’s a rare occurrence when I can actually applaud MSNBC’s Chris Matthews; in fact, I’m not sure it’s ever happened before.
But, as they say, there’s always a first. I haven’t checked, but it’s possible hell just froze over.
When you see the exchange between Chris Matthews and Democratic National Committee chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, I think you’ll understand why, today, I’m putting my hands together for Chris Matthews.

Liberal YouTuber Posts Disgusting Video Defending Planned Parenthood
As someone who works in the blogosphere — hope that’s the proper word, otherwise I’m going to look like a horse’s rear, but then again, how’s that different from any other day — I’m constantly bombarded by the sickest, most deranged, wildly unintelligent, scum sucking, dirtbag liberal tripe you can imagine.
Hey, it comes with the territory, you know? Freedom ain’t free. Just so happens the price I have to pay to fight for liberty is my sanity. It’s worth the cost, plus, I was already crazy to begin with, so there’s that.
With all that I’ve seen, nothing could possibly prepare me for the disgusting display I encountered on YouTube after seeing this video by a young lady defending Planned Parenthood and their baby chop shop.

$75K Reward to Catch Pilots Who Flew Drones Over California Wildfires
Officials want to know who flew drones near several wildfires in California's San Bernardino mountains, causing firefighters to temporarily ground their flame-battling planes.
The reward for someone who identifies the drone operators? $75,000.
"In the most recent fire, the North Fire, we saw cars and trucks burning on the freeway, we saw homes burn, and we saw families running for their lives," Jorge Ramos, chairman of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, said in a statement.
"We want to know who was flying drones, and we want them punished," he said. "Someone knows who they are, and there is $75,000 waiting for them."

Wrestling Legend ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper Dies at Age 61
(CBS SF/AP) – “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, who trash talked his way to the main event of the first WrestleMania and later found movie stardom, has died. He was 61.
The WWE says Piper died Friday. It had no additional details.
Piper, born Roderick Toombs, was the second WWE Hall of Famer to die this summer following the June death of Dusty Rhodes. Piper’s death also comes days after Hulk Hogan, his biggest rival for decades, was fired by the WWE. Hogan had used racial slurs in a conversation captured on a sex tape.
Piper and Hogan battled for years and headlined some of the biggest matches during the 1980s. Hogan and Mr. T defeated Piper and Paul Orndorff on March 31, 1985, at the first WrestleMania at Madison Square Garden.
He is survived by his wife and their 4 kids.

Minnesota man who killed lion keeps low profile amid outrage
ST. PAUL, Minn. — A Minnesota dentist who killed a well-known, protected lion while on a hunt in Zimbabwe has advised his patients to seek care elsewhere since becoming a target of outrage from across the world.
Walter James Palmer remained secluded in the face of protests Wednesday at his suburban Minneapolis clinic and intense condemnation online. He has not appeared in public since being identified Tuesday as a party to the lion's death but has said in a statement that he was unaware the lion was protected and that he relied on his guides to ensure a legal hunt.
Palmer, whose practice offers general and cosmetic dentistry, is an active big-game hunter, with many kills to his name, some of them registered with hunting clubs.
The North Dakota native "enjoys all outdoor activities," according to the biography page on his now-dark clinic website. "Anything allowing him to stay active and observe and photograph wildlife is where you will find Dr. Palmer when he not in the office."

New evidence emerges on Jimmy Hoffa's fate
His disappearance 40 years ago is one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in U.S. history, and now new evidence has emerged about Jimmy Hoffa’s possible fate.
A mobster who was believed to be involved in the labor boss’s disappearance suggested before he died last year that the feds were on the right track when they searched a New Jersey dump for Hoffa’s remains, a bombshell report says.
Investigative reporter Dan Moldea confirmed that the FBI searched the dump in 1975, looking for a 55-gallon drum they believed the Teamsters boss had been entombed in.

Florida gun store sued after declaring itself 'Muslim-free'
ORLANDO, Fla. (Reuters) - A Florida gun store that proclaimed itself a Muslim-free zone was sued on Wednesday in federal court by the state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations on the grounds that the restriction is discriminatory.
The lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Fort Lauderdale accuses Florida Gun Supply of Inverness of violating the federal public accommodations law and seeks an injunction to stop the discrimination, according to the complaint.
"We just can’t let segregation rear its ugly head in Florida again. This is part of Islamophobia that we need to challenge," said Hassan Shibly, chief executive director of the civil rights group.
Andrew Hallinan, the gun shop's 28-year-old owner, referred calls for comment to his lawyer, Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center. The law firm aggressively seeks to advance and defend the country’s Judeo-Christian heritage, according to its website.

Gold Is Only Going to Get Worse
The problem for gold isn’t just that prices are dropping. For many, the metal also has lost its charisma.
Sentiment means a lot in the bullion market, where only about 60 percent of what gets mined or recycled each year is used in jewelry and industrial applications. The rest is sold as coins or bars, so when demand from investors dries up, there can be painful consequences for the bulls who remain.
Prices will drop to $984 an ounce before January, according to the average estimate in a Bloomberg News survey of 16 analysts and traders. That would be the lowest since 2009 and a 10 percent retreat from Tuesday’s settlement. Speculators are shorting the metal for the first time since U.S. government data began in 2006, and holders of exchange-traded products are selling at the fastest pace in two years.
“Gold is out of fashion like flared trousers: no one wants it,” said Robin Bhar, an analyst at Societe Generale SA in London. “It’s not going to collapse, but we think it is going to be at a lower level in the not-too-distant future.”

Nonprofit ObamaCare plans in financial trouble
Most nonprofit “co-op” health insurers set up under ObamaCare are losing money and falling short of enrollment targets, according to a Health Department watchdog report.
These nonprofit co-op health plans were created under ObamaCare as a compromise after liberals failed to secure a “public option,” a government-run plan to compete with insurers.
The law ended up allowing the government to make start-up loans to nonprofit co-ops that would compete with the established insurers.
However, the report released Thursday from the Department of Health & Human Services Inspector General finds that many of these co-ops are struggling.

Why Do Libertarians Pay Taxes?
Libertarians pay taxes so they don’t get killed by an IRS agent for resisting arrest
It never fails. Every time I write anything about taxes I get long, rambling e-mails from tax trolls who scour the Internet looking for articles about taxes so they can contact the writers and impress them with their knowledge of the tax code.
These tax trolls usually call themselves “non-taxpayers.” They say things like: paying taxes is voluntary, the Sixteenth Amendment was not properly ratified, most Americans aren’t required to pay income tax, many Americans have gotten refunds of all the money withheld from their paychecks, and the income tax is a classical liberal tax on federal employments, offices, and privileges. Sometimes they boast that they haven’t paid taxes for 10, 15, or 20 years and the IRS hasn’t done anything about it.
Let’s review the libertarian view of taxes.
The libertarian view of taxes is not that taxes should be fair, adequate, sufficient, constitutional, uniform, flat, simple, efficient, apportioned equally, or low.

‘AMERICAN’ IS AN OFFENSIVE TERM, EXPLAINS US COLLEGE’S NEW STYLE GUIDE
It’s a situation we’ve all found ourselves in at some time or another: it’s a dark night in a strange part of town; you’re lost and slightly afraid, when suddenly – the horror – you find yourself surrounded by a menacing gang of crop-haired lesbians. Or people with Long-John-Silver-style peg legs and hooks where their hands should be. Or people with like, really old wrinkly skin and gray hair. Or people who aren’t necessarily white or cis-gendered. Or Americans.
And the question you ask yourself in every case is, of course, this: “What’s the best way of addressing these people without giving offence?”
Or maybe: “How do I avoid unwittingly provoking them through my unconscious microaggressions?”

Samuel DuBose video appears to show two officers reinforced false account of police killing
Analysis of Cincinnati shooting’s aftermath reveals how multiple officers discussed claim – disputed as the basis of a murder charge – that Ray Tensing was ‘dragged’ by unarmed black man’s car
Police officers in Cincinnati appear to have corroborated a false account of thefatal shooting of Samuel DuBose in the immediate aftermath of the incident, a detailed analysis of body-camera video released on Wednesday shows.
DuBose, an unarmed 43-year-old black man, was shot dead by white University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing on 19 July. The officer claimed he was “dragged” by DuBose’s vehicle following an altercation during a routine traffic stop, and was therefore forced to open fire, shooting DuBose once in the head.
On Wednesday, Tensing was indicted for murder after Hamilton County prosecutor Joseph Deters said body-camera footage, which he released at a press conference announcing the charge, showed the officer was not dragged during the encounter.
“It is our belief that he was not dragged. If you slow down this tape you see what happens, it is a very short period of time from when the car starts rolling to when a gun is out and he’s shot in the head,” Deters told reporters on Wednesday.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office posted signs at the MA and PA Heritage Trail near Bel Air reminding visitors to stay alert and not be an easy target.
"It's good because people think they are isolated out here, which is a good thing, but there should be safety precautions that should be taken," said Tom Theriault, a visitor to the trail.
Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler said a group of criminals authorities call the Felony Lane Gang is stealing from cars parked at day cares, gyms and hiking trails.

More paying Obamacare fines as subsidies go to people who don't exist
The IRS fined more than 7.5 million Americans who didn’t have health insurance in 2014, even as Obamacare subsidies flowed to people who didn’t even exist.
The Treasury Department reported last week the number of Americans who faced fines because of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate was significantly higher than the Obama administration expected. For 2014, the IRS projected that roughly 6 million would face fines, but the final total was 1.5 million higher.
It was the first year in which buying health insurance was made mandatory under the ACA, with penalties of $95 or 1 percent of total income – whichever was higher – for people who did not comply.
The average penalty collected for the 2014 tax year was about $200, the IRS reported.

Billions in loans may save pensions or sink New Jersey
The U.S. government should rescue troubled state pension plans with billions of dollars in long-term, low-interest loans, New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney proposedon Wednesday.
The trillion-dollar question is whether it would save pensions or sink states deeper in debt. That’s the amount of underfunding public retirement plans collectively face in the 50 states, according to a Pew Foundation study.
“A federal plan to restructure the pension debts would cut annual payments and save the taxpayers money,” said Sen. Sweeney, D-West Deptford.
Sweeney said New Jersey now needs to pay $6 billion a year for the next 30 years to erase its $51 billion in unfunded pension liabilities. He calculated the annual payment would be cut in half to $3 billion with a $50 billion loan from the Federal Reserve at an interest rate of 1-percent a year.

Data in Clinton’s ‘secret’ emails came from 5 intelligence agencies
WASHINGTON - The classified emails stored on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private server contained information from five U.S. intelligence agencies and included material related to the fatal 2012 Benghazi attacks, McClatchy has learned.
Of the five classified emails, the one known to be connected to Benghazi was among 296 emails made public in May by the State Department. Intelligence community officials have determined it was improperly released.
Revelations about the emails have put Clinton in the crosshairs of a broadening inquiry into whether she or her aides mishandled classified information when she used a private server set up at her New York home to conduct official State Department business.
While campaigning for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton has repeatedly denied she ever sent or received classified information. Two inspectors general have indicated that five emails they have reviewed were not marked classified at the time they were stored on her private server but that the contents were in fact “secret.”

Sunset Park Crowds Growing; 500-Plus Turned Out Last Thursday
OCEAN CITY – Attendance to Sunset Park’s music events are on the rise as the town along with the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC) continues to offer free entertainment in front of a beautiful view of the bay and West Ocean City.
Sunset Park Party Nights are every Thursday starting at 7 p.m. So far this year Lauren Glick & the Moodswingers, Oh Boy!, British Invasion Experience, Tranzfusion, and Neon Swing X-perience have performed on Sunset Park’s stage.
“The attendance figures for Sunset Park music events have been increasing each year. Last Thursday over 400 people attended the Tranzfusion music event. The week before over 500 people attended the Beatles tribute band music. Great weather is always a contributing factor towards good attendance figures in Ocean City, but good music is needed too … this past spring the Town of Ocean City expanded the seating area of the park with brick pavers. This improvement allowed additional people to sit closer to the stage and has worked out very well,” OCDC Director Glenn Irwin said.

Drug Company Profits Soar as Taxpayers Foot the Bill
It was a coincidence hard to overlook: The government released a new report on Tuesday projecting rising health care costs for the coming decade while a major pharmaceutical company issued a new earnings report showing extraordinary profits on the sale of new wonder drugs.
While drug spending increased by a modest 2.5 percent in 2013, it surged by 12.6 percent last year according to estimates in a new report on trends in health care costs by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. One of the major factors was the relatively recent Food and Drug Administration approval of highly effective -- but extremely expensive -- specialty drugs like Sovaldi and Harvoni for the treatment of Hepatitis-C, a potentially fatal liver disease.

Man freed after being wrongly imprisoned for 17 years is fatally shot in Chicago
CHICAGO — On the day he was finally released from prison after murder charges were dropped, Alprentiss Nash vowed he would use his freedom studying to become a chef, learning about antique cars and traveling.
And in the nearly three years since, he kept true to his word, visiting New Orleans, Miami and Atlanta and learning to ski at a resort in Wisconsin. He also bought a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 1960 Buick Electra 225 and completed a culinary program.
"He was really happy to be free, and he never talked about his time in prison," said Nash's mother, Yvette Martin. "He wanted to just get past it and be happy. He was overjoyed and excited about building a new life."
But on Tuesday afternoon, Nash's second chance at life came to a tragic end as he was gunned down while leaving a currency exchange in Chicago, according to Chicago police and his family. A person of interest is being questioned, authorities said.
Nash's family believes he was the target of an armed robbery.

Mark Levin's Plunder and Deceit
Once again Mark Levin, the constitutional scholar and radio talk show host, has written an important book that should be in the library of every thoughtful conservative. But this book is different, in that thoughtful conservatives should buy multiple copies and bestow the extras on younger people they care about. For in its essence, this book is a call to arms for the generation that will inherit the wreckage being created by what Levin calls the “ruling generation” – the holders of political power and those who sustain them in office. The younger age cohorts are the people whose future has been “plundered” (Levin’s choice of title is apt) by the policies advanced by progressives and acquiesced to by establishment Republicans.
The “deceit” part of the title comes into play in the way that the plunder has been disguised through artful choice of labels (the Social Security ‘trust fund” that doesn’t exist), misdirection (focusing on the “rights” of those who trespass across our border) and unwillingness to face facts by the political class and the media and academic power structures.
Levin explains the plunder and vanquishes the deceit in a series of lucidly presented and meticulously documented chapters arranged by thematic topics. The first of these following the introduction, Chapter Two, is titled “On The Debt,” and explains to the rising generations how they will be in perpetual servitude to the debt being handed to them by generations that would rather spend and borrow than live within their means.

Judicial Watch: Kerry Stalling in Clinton Email Response
Secretary of State John Kerry asked for a delay of nearly 40 days regarding his required response to a lawsuit surrounding the Hillary Clinton email scandal, according to newly released information.
Judicial Watch reports Kerry, who already had been given 60 days to respond to a lawsuit filed by the organization, sought to extend that by 38 days.
The lawsuit asked for Clinton's emails during her time as secretary of state (2009-2013); she has admitted to using a private email address and a private, home-based server to conduct her official government business, a breach of the normal protocol for government workers.
The lawsuit also seeks to get ahold of emails sent and received by other government employees, as other people — including Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin — are alleged to have used a private email address during their time at the State Department as well.
Kerry, according to Judicial Watch, wanted to delay his response to the lawsuit in order to combine it with a similar lawsuit, filed by the Cause of Action Institute. That suit was filed six weeks after Judicial Watch filed its suit.
"Secretary of State Kerry and the Obama administration are obstructing the courts at every turn on the Clinton email scandal," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

Federal Judge: I Will Haul The IRS Commissioner Into Court and Personally Hold Him in Contempt Over Lerner Emails
IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has been stonewalling Congress and the courts for more than a year over Lois Lerner's "missing" emails. He's also ignored court orders to produce documentation and now, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan has had enough.
During a hearing yesterday surrounding a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, Sullivan said he "will haul into court the IRS Commissioner to hold him personally into contempt" after the IRS failed to turn over ordered documentation to the Court. The information ordered included status reports and recovered emails belonging to former IRS official Lois Lerner. Sullivan also noted Department of Justice of attorneys are in the same position for failing to turn over ordered documentation. More details about the hearing fromJW:
During the a status hearing today, Sullivan warned that the failure to follow his order was serious and the IRS and Justice Department’s excuses for not following his July 1 order were “indefensible, ridiculous, and absurd.” He asked the IRS’ Justice Department lawyer Geoffrey Klimas, “Why didn’t the IRS comply” with his court order and “why shouldn’t the Court hold the Commissioner of the IRS in contempt.” Judge Sullivan referenced his contempt findings against Justice Department prosecutors in the prosecution of late Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK) and reminded the Justice Department attorney he had the ability to detain him for contempt. Warning he would tolerate no further disregard of his orders, Judge Sullivan said, “I will haul into court the IRS Commissioner to hold him personally into contempt.”

ACME to buy 94th St. Superfresh
OCEAN CITY — (July 31, 2015) Ocean City may have hit peak supermarket intrigue - which may not be much, but it’s something compared to how much press grocery stores usually get.
The mostly defunct Ocean Plaza Mall on 94th Street and its anchor store, Superfresh, are almost guaranteed a major shakeup in the coming months as Superfresh’s parent company, A&P, proceeds with its bankruptcy case and sale of stores to ACME Markets.
At the same time, the underused mall’s owner, Continental Realty, is looking at a renewed push toward redevelopment of the site, which was previously blocked by Superfresh’s iron-clad lease of the facility.
Last week, the 156-year old Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, better known as A&P, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, meaning that it will be going through a court-supervised restructuring in order to alleviate the company’s mounting debt.
As part of the move, A&P will be closing 25 supermarkets and selling off another 120, according to industry reports.

Blue Moon Full Moon Rises Tonight: What to Expect
There's a "Blue Moon" in the sky tonight — but that doesn't mean the lunar surface will turn indigo.
Tonight's (July 31) moon will be a gorgeous sight, but it won't look different than any other full moon. The term Blue Moon has come to refer to the second full moon in a given month (since full moons come around about every 29 days, most months only contain one). So set your sights skyward tonight, but don't expect a change in the moon's regular hue. NASA explained the July 31 Blue Moon in a video released earlier this week.
However, there are rare occasions when the moon can appear to turn blue. According to the Science@NASA blog, observers have reported the moon having a bluish tint following volcanic eruptions. These explosions send particulates (like ash and smoke) into the air that scatter red light, but let blue light through, creating a natural blue filter and giving the moon a sapphire complexion. [Amazing Blue Moon Photos by Stargazers]

MARYLAND’S COMPULSORY AGE OF SCHOOL ATTENDANCE RISES TO SUPPORT STUDENT SUCCESS
Students Must Now Attend School until at Least Age 17
Wicomico County Public Schools wants all students to become college and career ready during their school years and to enjoy that walk across the stage to receive a diploma once they’ve met Maryland’s graduation requirements.
Before now, a small number of students chose not to continue until graduation once they reach the age of 16. But under Maryland’s new Age of Compulsory School Attendance law (Senate Bill 362, signed into law in 2012), the age for compulsory school attendance is now 17, effective July 1. Students can no longer drop out of school when they are 16 years old. In 2017, the compulsory age of attendance will rise to 18.
Students who are 14 and 15 right now (mostly rising 10th-graders) will be required to remain enrolled in school until they are at least 18, as they are likely to be 17 when the age rises to 17 during their junior year (2016-2017), and 18 in their senior year (2017-2018), when the age rises to 18.

From Hill-ary To Mountain-ary - How UBS Sent Millions To The Clintons After Saving The Bank In 2009
A few weeks after Hillary Clinton was sworn in as secretary of state in early 2009, she was summoned to Geneva by her Swiss counterpart to discuss an urgent matter. The Internal Revenue Service was suing UBS AG to get the identities of Americans with secret accounts.
If the case proceeded, Switzerland’s largest bank would face an impossible choice: Violate Swiss secrecy laws by handing over the names, or refuse and face criminal charges in U.S. federal court.
Within months, Mrs. Clinton announced a tentative legal settlement—an unusual intervention by the top U.S. diplomat. UBS ultimately turned over information on 4,450 accounts, a fraction of the 52,000 sought by the IRS, an outcome that drew criticism from some lawmakers who wanted a more extensive crackdown.

From that point on, UBS’s engagement with the Clinton family’s charitable organization increased. Total donations by UBS to the Clinton Foundation grew from less than $60,000 through 2008 to a cumulative total of about $600,000 by the end of 2014, according the foundation and the bank.

Federal Judge Threatens IRS Commissioner, DOJ Lawyers With Contempt of Court
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that U.S District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan today threatened to hold the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service and Justice Department attorneys in contempt of court after the IRS failed to produce status reports and newly recovered emails of Lois Lerner, former director of the Exempt Organizations Unit of the IRS, as he had ordered on July 1, 2015.
During the status hearing Wednesday, Sullivan warned that the failure to follow his order was serious and the IRS and Justice Department’s excuses for not following his July 1 order were “indefensible, ridiculous, and absurd.”

Nowadays, Health Insurance Isn’t Really Insurance
Due to Obamacare, my health plan has become something other than insurance. It is now, for the most part, nothing other than a wealth transfer scheme to benefit the politically connected over others.
In order to identify the difference between health insurance and government-mandated health care coverage, we can look to Human Action, in which Ludwig von Mises splits probability into class probability and case probability:
Class probability means: We know or assume to know, with regard to the problem concerned, everything about the behavior of a whole class of events or phenomena; but about the actual singular events or phenomena we know nothing but that they are elements of this class.
Case probability means: We know, with regard to a particular event, some of the factors which determine its outcome; but there are other determining factors about which we know nothing.

Defense says prosecutors withholding evidence Freddie Gray 'attempted to injure himself' in previous arrest
Prosecutors have information indicating that Freddie Gray "attempted to injure himself" during a previous arrest, but have intentionally withheld it from their criminal case against the six Baltimore police officers charged in Gray's apprehension and death in April, the officers' attorneys said in a court filing Thursday.
"Based upon information and belief, the State's Attorney's Office was informed of this fact, yet failed to disclose to the Defendants any statements, reports, or other communications relating to this information," they wrote.
Gray, a 25-year-old Baltimore man with a history of arrests, died in April after suffering a severe spinal cord injury in a police van. Six officers who were involved in his arrest and transport on April 12 have been charged with violations that range from misconduct in office to second-degree murder.

Obama Administration Defends Planned Parenthood: ‘Not a lot of evidence,’ Sting Videos Obtained ‘fraudulently’
White House says it has no intention of launching investigation into fetal organ harvesting allegations
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest defended Planned Parenthood at a press conference Thursday, saying videos showing representatives explicitly discussing the alleged sale of aborted fetal tissue are “not a lot of evidence” of illegalities, and that Planned Parenthood “lives up to the highest ethical standards.”
Speaking to Fox News’ Doug McKelway, Earnest said the Obama administration has no intention of pursuing an investigation into the allegations, despite numerous calls from members of Congress to defund the abortion provider, and independent investigations launched by various state governors.
“Has the White House had any communication with Planned Parenthood about standardizing procedures for fetal tissue research? Has the White House had any concerns about illegalities in this realm? Have you had any sort of investigation, or are you considering one?” McKelway asks.
“Not that I’m aware of,” Earnest says. “I think Planned Parenthood has been quite specific about the policies and procedures that they have in place, and I know they have described those policies and procedures as living up to the highest ethical standards.”

Planned Parenthood “Hacking” Sure Looks Like An Orchestrated PR Stunt
Planned Parenthood claims on several of its websites that the organization’s web operations have been attacked by “extremists,” but this so-called hacking has all the hallmarks of an orchestrated public relations stunt.
Numerous people on Twitter pointed to evidence suggesting that this so-called hack wasn’t a hack at all.
A review of the source code of the main page that appears at PlannedParenthood.org shows that as of 9:30 a.m. today, the page is listed as a “Campaign” and uses a specific template named “Site Down Tempalte” (the typo is theirs). The same page then directs visitors to the Facebook page of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the political fundraising arm of the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Judge rules illegal immigrant parents with children should be released
A federal judge’s ruling presaging the release of the largest number of illegal immigrant mothers and children from U.S. detention centers has erased the last get-tough immigration policy of the Obama administration, leaving the law even more of a mess and authorities with even fewer tools to try to deter another surge of border crossers.
The sweeping decision by U.S. District Judge Dolly M. Gee gives theObama administration 90 days to object; otherwise, she will order the government to move quickly to release all illegal immigrant children and try to release their parents as well.

Killing of Cecil the lion triggers probe by U.S. agency
The killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe by American dentist and trophy hunter Walter Palmer is being investigated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to see if it was part of a conspiracy to violate U.S. laws against illegal wildlife trading, a source close to the case said.
The service is probing the killing under the Lacey Act, which bars trading in wildlife that has been illegally killed, transported or sold, the source said on Thursday.
Palmer, whose practice is in suburban Minneapolis, has admitted to killing the 13-year-old lion and tourist attraction, in July. Questions have been raised by the Zimbabwe government and animal conservationists about Cecil's death outside the Hwange National Park, where he was the head of two lion prides.
The best known lion in Zimbabwe is said to have been lured from the park with bait, shot with an arrow, tracked for 40 hours, shot dead with a rifle and then beheaded and skinned.
Cecil was wearing a GPS collar as part of a research project run by Oxford University.

Text Messages Show Marilyn Mosby’s Office Went ‘Judge-Shopping’
The defense attorneys for the six Baltimore police officers charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray have text message evidence they say shows a prosecutor in the office of state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby “judge-shopping” for a warrant for the cops’ cell phones.
The Baltimore Sun reports that in a motion filed Wednesday, the cops’ attorneys said they have phone logs and text messages from April 27 showing that assistant state’s attorney Albert Peisinger reached out to Baltimore circuit court judge Timothy Doory to sign off on a search warrant for the officers’ department-issued phones. That was after a search warrant had already been denied by a different judge.
The defense attorneys had filed a motion earlier this month accusing Mosby’s office of judge-shopping. Mosby denied the accusation as a “falsehood” in a response motion filed last week.

Two Indictments and Arrests in Two Separate Sussex Child Deaths
The Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Justice have announced the indictment and arrest of two women in Sussex County believed to be responsible for the deaths of children in two separate cases. Both were indicted by a grand jury on Monday and have been arrested.
Valorie Handy, 51 of Millsboro, was indicted Monday, July 27, 2015, on one charge of Murder by Abuse or Neglect 1st Degree in the death of a 10-month old victim in her daycare in January 2015. The case has been ruled a homicide.
On Wednesday January 28, 2015 around 2:15 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Handy's Little Disciples daycare located at 28194 Layton-Davis Road after a 9-1-1 call was received from the home stating a 10 month old was unresponsive. Preliminary investigation suggests a daycare worker attempted to wake the 10 month old male from a nap, and upon doing so, observed the infant unresponsive. The young child was transported by EMS to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes where he was eventually pronounced dead.
On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, Handy was taken into custody near her residence and presented before the Sussex County Superior Court and was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in default of $100,000 cash bond. (mug shot attached).
Detoshia Spence, 23, of Laurel was indicted on Monday, July 27, 2015 on the following charges: Murder by Abuse or Neglect 1st degree, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 2 counts of Child Abuse 2nd, and Offensive Touching in the death of her 3-year old daughter in April.
The preliminary investigation started on Friday, April 17, 2015, at approximately 7:17 p.m., after a call was received by the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center reporting CPR in progress. On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, Spence turned herself in at DSP Troop 4 and then presented before Sussex County Superior Court. She was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in default of a $111,100.00 cash bond.
“The deaths of children at the hands of those who are supposed to be caring for them are tragic and heartbreaking cases,” Attorney General Matt Denn said. “The police and prosecutors in these two cases spent months investigating the cases and reviewing evidence, including complex medical evidence about how each of these children died. I am proud of how DOJ’s criminal prosecutors and DSP troopers in Sussex worked through these tough cases to get to these indictments.”
