Headquarters Live Fails, I Know, Bring In Another Failing Business, The Daily Times

You heard me right. The failing Daily Times will once again be downsizing and moving into the old Fire Station 16. BUT WAIT!

Is it LEGAL? Has Boy Mayor Jake Day reviewed the formal contract between the City and the Owners of the property.

My guess, when the taxpayers were forced to sell the property for pennies on the dollar, the only way they could keep Joe Albero from buying it was to set rules as to what you could put in that building and a Newspaper wasn't one of them.

So much for Paying It Forward and doing what's right for the community. That is, unless you FAIL financially. The Owners have tried every possible angle to get a liquor license in that place and that too is illegal, according to the original agreement when the property, (once again) was sold for pennies on the dollar.

The biggest question is, just how long will taxpayers continue to allow elected officials to LIE to you and SCREW you?

Beaver Run Update

I want to thank everyone for sharing this post and all the support that we have received on Hayden's behalf. After contacting the child advocate this amazing man accomplished in a few hours what we as parents could not in 3 weeks. The boys have been transferred out of my daughters class and the school is attempting to find another bus that may be able to transport my daughter. We will still be meeting with the BOE tomorrow to voice our concerns about how this situation was handled. I would also still like to speak with the news about this man who helped us if given the permission by him so other parents are aware this compassionate soul exists in our community and truly does have the best intentions of our children in mind.

On April 18th at beaver run school my daughter was on the playground playing when she was being chased by 2 boys. She fell to the ground where one boy held her down and the other boy dry humped her, then they switched and the other boy repeated the same actions while my daughter was trying to get away. The other girls on the playground saw what was happening and ran to tell haydens teacher who came and saw what was going on. The boys were sent home for the day.

That is what the school deemed proper punishment for 2 seven year old boys who molested my daughter got.

We asked that they be at least changed classes because my daughter said she felt so embarrass that they were still in the same class. The worthless principal Mr twilley assured us that "measures" have been taken that they will not sit near eachother in class or talk to her.

That's not good enough if that were to happen as an adult they would be in jail. Would you want to look at someone that did that to you every day?

My husband had called the school on several occasions and even the board of education who would either "be busy" or give him the run around.

Today they deemed at a meeting the boys would stay in the same class

Today they were sat in the same seat as my daughter on the bus.

This is unacceptable.

What would you do if it was your daughter?

BEWARE: KITTEN KILLER FINDS THEM ON CRAIGSLIST UPDATE, New Recent Image

The Big 100 Myth

By Thornton Crowe

Mainstream Media and Liberals are making big hoopla over the first 100 days as if this is indicative of presidential success, but is it? Actual history would beg to differ.

Starting in 1933 with Franklin D. Roosevelt, this myth has continued throughout the decades as some kind of marker that every president must hit; however, the fact is, FDR's first 100 was largely overturned by the Supreme Court within his first term. This is the very reason why during his second term, he attempted his court packing - a move that fell flat and garnered much criticism.

History proves most of the First New Deal (and most of the Second New Deal) was overturned because it was unconstitutional; some initiatives came back but they were watered down version and largely ineffectual as many historians (and economists) will verify the New Deal actually extended the Great Depression an additional decade due to the on again/off again temporary employment offered by government projects. Very little had staying power which is what's need to build a healthy economy.

Like with most urban legends, the first 100 day marker was built on a misperception of what actually happened during FDR's first three months.

How's Trump Really Doing...

Unlike FDR, President Trump has been madly successful in his first 100. However, even with these fiscally sound achievements because healthcare and Border Wall haven't passed yet, the Media is having a field day, claiming he's somehow let us down and is a liar.

In reality, healthcare lays squarely on Paul Ryan's shoulders because the President doesn't control Congress; the Speaker is in charge of that negligent band of impotents. Second, regarding the Wall, its been funded since 2006 but everyone inside the Beltway has forgotten this fact, including our buddy Ryan. Surely, the Trump Administration is looking for ways to unlock those funds and put them towards what they were intended in spite of the Speaker.

All things considered - his enemies being everyone in the Democrat party, a lot of Republican establishment goons and the Media - Trump's first 100 has produced some stunning changes that many Americans have already begun to feel in their wallets and attitudes. Consumer confidence is up higher than it's been since 2001, the Tax Plan he proposes will bring more money to Middle America than we've had since Reagan's in 1982 and Wall Street has responded in kind. He's done this largely by dialing back on a lot of the business-raping regulations from the Obama era and started the wheels moving again in American Industry.

While his attempts to keep us safe via travel bans and monetary sanctions on sanctuary cities, have been temporarily halted by judicial activists in the Nineth Circuit, once on the Supreme Court level, those injunctions will be swiftly overturned. Why? Because both Executive Orders are within Presidential Purview and no judge can eradicate the president's abilities to govern as long as its within the scope of the US Constitution.

Additionally, Liberals would have you believe some fable that his initiatives will somehow bring about the end of the earth. Yet in spite of their cautionary tale of foreboding woe, since he took office, the sun still comes up in the East and sets in the West everyday without fail. Therefore, all the hysterical hyperbole has done nothing but make the Democrat Party look ridiculously irrelevant and out of touch with mainstream America.

The Real Problem..

Simply put, President Trump is here for the People. This thought terrifies Liberals and they've shown this fear through their behaviors since his election (as well as before.) He truly believes to his inner core in the America First policy. Apparently, he's not alone because 80% of the public agrees and wants him to succeed!

Bottom line: President Trump remembers who answers to: We the People.

How say you?

** POLICE APPREHEND FELONY FUGITIVE FROM WICOMICO COUNTY **

Leopoldo C. Diaz, 29, of Laurel, Del., was contacted by police Friday afternoon when an officer observed him driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol in the area of Rehoboth Avenue and the Boardwalk. While in custody, officers learned that Diaz had multiple felony warrants for his arrest out of Wicomico County, Maryland.

On April 28th, 2017, just after 1:30pm, an officer was attending to a parking issued when he observed Diaz, who was driving a black GMC Terrain, pull into the parking space next to where he was standing. The officer observed two alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle, one of which was open. The officer investigated further by contacting Diaz at which time he observed that Diaz was displaying signs of alcohol impairment.

Due to a language barrier, officers were unable to administer Diaz standardized roadside sobriety field test; however, based upon their observations, the officers took Diaz into custody and transported him to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department where further blood alcohol testing was conducted.

While at the police department, officers used fingerprint identification technology to identify Diaz and subsequently discovered that he had an active warrant out of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department for numerous charges including felony burglary and assault.

Diaz was arrested and charged with 1 count of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 1 count of driving without a license, and 1 count of being a fugitive from another state. Diaz is being held without bail at the Sussex Correctional Institution pending extradition.

A Viewer Writes: Ocean City Boardwalk Bench

I purchased a memorial bench on the boardwalk in Ocean City 8 years ago through the Town of Ocean City program. Recently I got a letter from the city saying that they have decided to add a 10 year term to the bench and at the end of the 10 years (fall 2018 for me) I have to pay over $1,100.00 for 'maintenance' on the bench. In a e mail exchange with someone from the Public Works Division it was admitted that there was no such term as a part of the original purchase and this was simply being added because the city did not plan a budget for maintaining the benches.

Personally I do not believe this is true, I think the city is simply seeing this as a way to get more money from people, but obviously I have no proof so I am forced to go with what they say.

This angers me to no end. I don't understand why their supposed budget crisis is now my budget crisis.

I have e mailed the entire city council and the mayor and have gotten no response.

The Driver of This Dodge Ram Didn’t Dodge These Protestors. He Rammed them. [VIDEO]

The recent spate of protests have spawned a new go-to tactic. Even a relatively poorly attended protest can shut down roads if they’re willing to put their bodies on the line. And that’s what happened during this May Day protest in Durham. This handful of protestors successfully blocked a downtown street.

Or so they thought. The entire premise of the human roadblock is reliant on drivers who are willing to stop. When they’re not, the unwritten rules of the protest break down.

The man behind the wheel of this Dodge Ram must not have been given the rules ahead of time. He was on the road, one presumes, because he had somewhere he needed to be. And he wasn’t going to let a handful of protestors slow him down.

VIDEO: Liberal Milita Releases Training Footage… Try Not to Laugh

Free Market Shooter exposed the Redneck Revolts group “Phoenix John Brown Gun Club”. Many people observed that the anti-Trump “counter protesters” who showed up to a pro-Trump rally in Phoenix, Arizona were openly carrying what appeared to be fake firearms:

The only reference to firearms training was in their “events” page, which had an event that took place on March 5th, titled “Introduction to Tactical Firearms”. It had 46 guests. There were no upcoming events, and the prior four events had absolutely nothing to do with firearms.

Not much of a “gun club” at all, is it? Would you really be surprised to find out that many of their members didn’t even carry real firearms to an “open carry” demonstration against a Trump rally?

Escaped Md. prisoner ate from trash, drank from puddles during 6-day search

WASHINGTON — For six days, escaped prisoner David Watson rarely rested, ate food from trash cans and drank water from puddles, before he was found Wednesday hiding in a narrow drainage pipe, according to Howard County police.

Police Chief Gary Gardner said Watson had gotten out of several restraints while being transported to Clifton T. Perkins psychiatric hospital, in Jessup, Maryland, Friday, knocked over a Wicomico County Department of Corrections officer, evaded another officer, and had escaped into woods near the Perkins facility.

Watson was serving a Delaware prison sentence on an attempted murder conviction and also faces attempted murder charges in Wicomico County.

In a Thursday morning news conference, Gardner said Watson had moved often, in approximately a 2-mile radius from Perkins, during his six days on the run, hiding in the woods and a network of drainage pipes.

Watson was captured around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, off Dorsey Run Road, in Jessup.

Maryland reacts to House passage of American Health Care Act

WASHINGTON —From members of Congress to health officials, Marylanders are reacting to the U.S. House voting to pass the American Health Care Act (H.R. 1628). The measure skirted through the House by a thin 217-213 vote, as all voting Democrats and a group of mostly moderate Republican holdouts voted no. The bill now faces an uncertain fate in the Senate, where even GOP lawmakers say major changes are likely.

U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Maryland, released a statement, saying:
“The House bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act promises to hurt tens of millions of Americans. In the rush to pass a bill – any bill – the Republicans have taken bad legislation and made it even worse. Consumers will pay more, women will pay more, families fighting mental illness and opioid misuse or abuse will pay more, seniors will pay more, Americans with pre-existing conditions will pay more – despite the President’s proclamations to the contrary –and taxpayers will pay more for this Republican rush to say ‘they got it done.’ All while Republicans provide significant tax breaks for the wealthy.

Kansas City Catholics banish Girl Scouts and their cookies

There's a new commandment for Catholics: Thou Shall Not Eat Tagalongs.

The Archdiocese of Kansas City recently announced they are severing ties with the Girl Scouts. And that means no more Girl Scout cookies, too. Say goodbye to Thin Mints and Do-Si-Do's.

The Archdiocese says Girl Scouts is no longer a compatible partner when it comes to issues like virtue and values.

The Washington Post reports that Catholics fear the Girl Scouts’ programs and materials are “reflective of many of the troubling trends in our secular culture,” and that the organization is “no longer a compatible partner in helping us form young women with the virtues and values of the Gospel.”

The Archdiocese said some of the material used in the past has been offensive, disturbing and age-inappropriate.

BREAKING NEWS House passes Republican's latest bid to overhaul ObamaCare, 217 to 213

ObamaCare replacement bill approved in House

House Republicans on Thursday narrowly approved a sweeping health care bill aimed at fulfilling their campaign promise to upend ObamaCare, after bringing out the legislative defibrillators to resuscitate a package that had flatlined on the floor not six weeks earlier.

The revised American Health Care Act passed on a 217-213 vote. It heads next to the Senate, where it faces an uncertain fate.

“A lot of us have been waiting seven years to cast this vote,” House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday.

Capping a fiery debate moments before the vote, Ryan appealed to colleagues to move beyond ObamaCare, which he called a “collapsing law” and “failed experiment.” Citing the situation in Iowa, where the last statewide insurer is threatening to leave, Ryan said: “This is a crisis. … What protection is ObamaCare if there is no health care plan to purchase in your state?”

Russian bombers, fighter jets fly near Alaska, prompting Air Force escort

Tow Russian Bear bombers -- escorted for the first time by a pair of Su-35 "Flanker" fighter jets -- entered Alaska's Air Defense Zone on Wednesday night, U.S. officials told Fox News.

The Russian formation was intercepted by a pair of U.S. Air Force F-22 stealth fighter jets that were already flying a patrol about 50 miles southwest of Chariot, Alaska. A NORAD spokesperson told Fox News the intercept began at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday and a defense source said it also occurred into Thursday.

It was the first time the U.S. Air Force has seen advanced Russian Su-35 fighter jets escort Russian Cold War-era bombers near Alaska.

The Russian fighter jets were unarmed and remained in international airspace, officials said.

Late last month, Russian bombers flew near Alaska over four consecutive days for the first time since 2014.

Howard County Police Update: Police capture escaped prisoner David Watson in Jessup

A Howard County police tactical team captured escaped prisoner David Watson last night in a wooded area off of Dorsey Run Road in Jessup after a six-day search effort.

Authorities expanded the ground search yesterday after police received a report of a possible sighting. A local employee called 911 around 9:30 a.m. after spotting a man near the railroad tracks behind a building in the 8200 block of Dorsey Run Road. The caller reported that the man was wearing a white hard hat and a safety vest and ran when he was spotted. Authorities believed the man was Watson, who had escaped from the grounds of Clifton T. Perkins Hospital while on a transport in the custody of Wicomico County Detention Center guards on April 28. Police are in contact with the caller, who will be eligible for a reward.

With the assistance of multiple jurisdictions, police searched throughout the day with helicopters, bloodhounds, K9s, and teams of officers. Around 9:40 p.m., tactical officers were rechecking terrain, including a small drainage pipe, approximately 18-20 inches wide, a few hundred yards from the morning's sighting. Although the pipe had been confirmed empty earlier in the day, officers with night vision equipment rechecked the area after dark. They found Watson lying inside, attempting to hide. He was taken into custody in good condition and suffered minor scrapes and injuries during his time in the woods.

After being arrested last night, Watson was taken to Howard County Central Booking and charged with escape and assault. He will be transferred in a maximum-security transport to the correctional facility in Delaware where he is currently serving a sentence of more than 100 years. Investigators believe Watson did not plan the escape in advance or receive outside assistance.

Search teams have determined that Watson continued moving throughout the six days he was on the run. There are indications that he had traveled a distance of at least a mile in different directions, according to bloodhound trails on various days and the location of the break-in where a vest and hard hat were stolen.

NKorea: US Bomber Flights Push Peninsula to Brink of Nuclear War

North Korea accused the United States on Tuesday of pushing the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war after a pair of strategic U.S. bombers flew training drills with the South Korean and Japanese air forces in another show of strength.

The two supersonic B-1B Lancer bombers were deployed amid rising tensions over North Korea's pursuit of its nuclear and missile programmes in defiance of U.N. sanctions and pressure from the United States.

The flight of the two bombers on Monday came as U.S. President Donald Trump said he would be "honoured" to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the right circumstances, and as his CIA director landed in South Korea for talks.

South Korean Defence Ministry spokesman Moon Sang-gyun told a briefing in Seoul that Monday's joint drill was conducted to deter provocations by the North.

Target Slashes CEO’s Pay as Profits, Stock Prices Continue to Tumble

After a full year of sliding profits and stock prices, retail giant Target Corp. has announced a cut in pay for its CEO, Brian Cornell.

After a year of declining sales, tumbling share prices, and a major slide in its brand name, Target announced that Cornell’s compensation is to recede by nearly one-third, falling to $11.3 million, Reuters reported on Monday.

The reason for the cut in pay is that Cornell’s compensation is based on an incentive program. Growth for the company means growth for his take home pay. On the other hand, with the company losing billions year over year, Cornell’s incentive plan has predictably come up short.

OC BikeFest Takes Shot At Liquor Sales, But Council Votes Down After Spirited Debate

OCEAN CITY — Resort officials this week rejected a request to add liquor sales to beer and wine sales at the OC BikeFest event at the Inlet lot in September, but not before a much larger philosophical debate on the virtues or evils of alcohol in general in the perceived family-friendly resort.

OC BikeFest officials appeared before the Mayor and Council on Monday with a handful of requests related to a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the town for the annual motorcycle event in September. OC BikeFest officials expressed a desire to add liquor in addition to beer and wine at the weekend-long events at the Inlet lot, a request that was ultimately denied after a long, often contentious debate. It appeared to be on the path to a quick approval with a motion by Councilman John Gehrig and a second by Councilman Dennis Dare, but Councilman Wayne Hartman raised concerns that touched off a major larger debate.

“I have concerns with crossing that line in the sand to allow liquor other than beer and wine,” said Hartman. “There’s just a whole list of issues that come up. It’s not this individual promoter, it’s about the fact we’re a family town and there is plenty of availability of liquor already. To add liquor, to me, is setting us up for potential problems.”

With murders skyrocketing in Baltimore, feds begin sending help

Through the first four months of 2017, Baltimore has experienced its highest murder rate in recorded history — and now federal officials are sending in some help.

Daniel L. Board Jr., the ATF Baltimore Field Division special agent in charge, called the gun-tracing technology and the national database it connects to a "critical piece to solving and preventing gun violence in Baltimore."

Texans cry out to God in miraculous rescue of 2 babies

“In the name of Jesus, let him breathe, Lord! Give that baby breath, Lord! Dear Jesus, please let this baby breathe,” a woman desperately prayed for an infant and a toddler who were on the brink of death.

In chilling video footage captured by a man named Tom Mitchell, five or six Good Samaritans wade through rushing water to reach the black pickup truck. They desperately struggle to get the doors open, but the water makes it nearly impossible to do so.

Inside the flipped truck were a father, a toddler and a baby.

Marshals Now Leading Search For Escapee 5-1-17

Howard County police say the U.S. Marshals Service is now leading the search for the Wicomico County prisoner who escaped custody Friday during transfer to a Jessup psychiatric hospital.

While other agencies including Anne Arundel County police and Maryland State Police have assisted in the search, it's the marshals who will be leading it from here. With county police, they're offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture of David Watson.

Watson, 28, was being taken to Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center for a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. Watson was serving a 106-year sentence in Delaware for shooting at police officers' homes. He faces similar charges in Wicomico County. He was picked up in Delaware on Thursday by Wicomico County authorities and spent the night in Wicomico County Detention Center before two prison guards took him to Jessup. When one guard opened the van door upon arrival, he pushed the guard over and ran into the woods. Handcuffs and a waist chain were found at the scene, and articles of clothing were found in the woods.

Teenage Girl Gets Kicked Out of Prom Over Outfit Because Dads Couldn’t Stop Staring

Even homeschool teen girls want to have the experience of a prom. 17 yr-old Clare was hoping to have just that, but instead suffered a humiliating night all because of her dress.

Clare’s boyfriend had purchased tickets to the ‘homeschool prom’ in advance. This gave her some time for dress shopping and as she did, she made sure to comply with the homeschool association’s dress code. Their only 1 rule was that the girls dress be “finger length.”

But upon arriving at the prom, she was approached by a chaperone who said that her dress was too short. Upon demonstrating that her dress was finger length, she was allowed to proceed. Clare later laughed because she observed that on the ballroom floor, she was surrounded by girls with dresses much shorter than her own. She joined her group of friends and they all laughed that Clare had been singled out, commenting on how in years past they’ve all seen dresses even shorter with no one getting ‘a talking to’. Here is the entire dress… what do you think?
