With the Pittsburgh shooting so fresh and anti-Semitism (alas) so necessary a topic, it’s time for a reckoning with the Women’s March. This January, women who say they stand with Jews need to boycott the Women’s March.
The first year of the march, it made sense that many otherwise normal people would attend. It was just two months after Donald Trump’s shocking victory. Many were dazed and upset. The march was quickly organized by people whose names were not yet known to everyone.
Linda Sarsour is one of the leaders. Articles soon sprang up about terrible comments she made: She supported the radical Muslim Brotherhood. She praised Sharia law, which, among other things, includes second-class status for women. She was open about her fandom of Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.

Why this Midterm Election is Critical
America’s representative form of Constitutional democracy is on the verge of breaking down because of political corruption at the highest levels and the concurrent decline in civility and growing mob behavior.
Fundamental and deep division prevents government from fixing itself. But we the people can play a decisive role in turning things around by voting in the midterm elections tomorrow. First, some background:
By the end of the eight-year Obama administration, the Democratic Party leadership found itself with the twofold challenge of a weak presidential candidate in Hillary Clinton and ineffective and unpopular public policies. At the same time, a significant number of high-ranking U.S. government officials and their subordinates in the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the CIA -- most appointed during the Obama administration -- decided collectively to take unusual action to assist Hillary. First, the Hillary Clinton email investigation by the FBI was derailed, leading to her exoneration. Next, this cabal quietly weaponized the Justice Department, the FBI, and the CIA to deceive the FISA court with the “Steele dossier” false narrative about candidate Donald Trump. This prompted the FISA court to authorize spying on the Trump team and it facilitated the leaking of scandalous information to the press -- to sink Trump’s candidacy before the November 2016 election.

Former Democrats Flock to See Trump, And Hope to Oust Manchin
President says Manchin is not a reliable vote at W.Va. rally
HUNTINGTON, W.Va.—President Donald Trump urged West Virginia to oust Senator Joe Manchin during his final rally blitz before Election Day, and found an approving audience among disaffected Democrats.
Trump supporters who gathered at the Huntington Tri-State Airport were optimistic about Patrick Morrisey's chances of upsetting the Democratic incumbent on Tuesday. Some stood in line as early as 11:45 a.m. Friday, more than four hours before the rally began.
"I like Joe," Trump said. "The problem is, I'm just not going to get his vote. He's a friend of mine. I'm just not going to get his vote."
Allegiance to the president's agenda was on the minds of supporters, many of whom are former Democrats. The audience was full of them, some personally convinced to change parties by the president himself, like Gov. Jim Justice and Dorothy McPhee.
"I have been a Democrat sixty some years of my life," said Dorothy, who grew up in Winfield County. "I switched over a couple years ago to Republican because I no longer can tolerate the Democratic stand on a lot of things."

Megyn Kelly was supposed to be face of NBC's election night coverage
As NBC negotiates the fate of Megyn Kelly, the network has already started scrubbing traces of the disgraced host in the wake of her blackface backlash.
Page Six is told that execs had long planned to feature Kelly heavily in its midterm-election coverage Tuesday night, and even sent out a press release before the scandal broke announcing that Kelly would front the broadcast alongside NBC heavyweights Lester Holt of the network’s “Nightly News,” “Today” host Savannah Guthrie and “Meet the Press” anchor Chuck Todd.
But on Monday, NBC put out a video ad spot that deep-sixed Kelly from the lineup, showing only Holt, Guthrie and Todd at the desk for its “The Vote: America’s Future” special live broadcast.
NBC News declined to comment, but a network insider told us that Kelly is “not going to be part of election-night coverage.”
Sources pointed out that “exit negotiations” are underway.

Law requiring a birth certificate to register to vote advances to appeals court
The debate over how to sift out illegal voters from legal ones has reached the federal appeals court level, making it possible the Supreme Court eventually will rule whether a state can demand a birth certificate to register to vote.
The case before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver centers on a 2011 Kansas law, the Documentary Proof of Citizenship (DPOC). In June, a district court judge struck down the law, with biting criticism of analysts who contend a large number of non-citizens nationwide vote illegally, tilting close elections to Democrats. Judge Julia A. Robinson said the Kansas legislation violated federal law and the 14th Amendment guarantee to equal protection.
The law, which requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, is vigorously defended by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, a nationally known Republican locked in a tight governor’s race. His own primary battle was so close the state attorney general cited it in a brief to the 10th Circuit as a race that could be influenced by illegal votes.
A backdrop is this: the U.S. count of non-citizens is growing. A Yale study says there may be twice as many immigrants living in the U.S. illegally — 20 million — than other analyses have found. That means the population of immigrants, most of whom are over 18, has reached 30 million. The U.S. has about 245 million residents 18 and older.

Democrats call Congressional candidate Lauren Underwood the “Naperville nurse running for Congress.”

She has never worked a day as a nurse in her life.
On Sunday Barack Obama held a small rally in Chicago in a final push to Get Out the Vote.

The Dems are Mad as Hell
A few seconds of frustrated political rage in the 1976 movie Network drove the words “I’m mad as Hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!” into our national collective consciousness. Most Democrats seem to feel that way; they’ve been mad for two years.
Howard Beale Mad.
So mad, that the very name of Trump causes most Democrats to sputter, many coming to full froth within two sentences.

Jim Kunstler Warns "We've Not Yet Seen How Insane A Society Can Become Under Duress"
It may be as simple as this: voters look at the two parties and decide that they don’t want the nation to turn into a gigantic seminar on race and gender studies.
The Democratic Party doesn’t have a platform, it has a curriculum. The party wants to instruct everybody how to think and act. You will be tested regularly on the correctness of your thought. And if you fail or object, say goodbye to your livelihood.
That’s the main reason that the Golden Golem of Greatness plays so well in the forsaken flyover precincts of this troubled land. They are weary of being scolded for their “privilege” by the privileged undergraduates of the most elite campuses. And from there, of course, the astounding hypocrisy informs and infects Democratic politics up to the highest level — e.g. the mendacious sex hysteria engineered by Diane Feinstein and a corps of DC swamp lawyers in the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.

U.S.-China Trade Deficit Eliminated Jobs for Americans in All 50 States
The United States’ trade deficit with China has eliminated jobs for Americans in all 50 states and every congressional district, new research reveals.
Researchers with the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) found that between 2001 and 2017, the U.S.-China trade deficit has been responsible for the loss of 3.4 million American jobs. The vast majority of jobs lost from free trade with China has been in the U.S. manufacturing sector, making up 74.4 percent of all jobs lost and amounting to 2.5 million U.S. manufacturing jobs lost. This total of jobs lost also includes the 1.3 million American jobs lost since 2008.
The EPI researchers note that the U.S.-China trade deficit has eliminated American jobs in all 50 states and in every single congressional district across the country.

Md. officers serving 'red flag' gun seizure fatally shoot armed man
Two police officers ordered to remove firearms from a house on a “red flag” protective order fatally shot an armed man Monday morning in Ferndale, Maryland, police said.
Anne Arundel County Police arrived at the house at 5:17 a.m. to remove guns from the home under a new law that temporarily allows for the seizure of firearms if a person shows “red flags” that they are a danger to themselves or others, The Baltimore Sun reported.
A man, later identified by his niece as Gary Willis, answered his door with a gun in his hand, Anne Arundel County Police Sgt. Jacklyn Davis said.
Sgt. Davis said the man put the gun down and then picked it up again, “a fight ensued over the gun,” and a shot was fired. The first shot didn’t strike anyone, but the officers then fatally shot the man, Sgt. Davis said.
Michele Willis, the man’s niece, told The Sun that one of her aunts requested the protective order against Mr. Willis, but she declined to say why.

Comptroller's FED Agents Seize Contraband Cigarettes in Worcester
More than 8,400 packs valued at $54,000 confiscated during stop
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Comptroller Peter Franchot has announced that agents from his Field Enforcement Division (FED) assisted the Pocomoke City Police Department in a traffic stop on Halloween night that resulted in the confiscation of thousands of packs of contraband cigarettes and the arrest of a New York City man.
“My FED agents stand ready to assist our local police departments that uncover the illegal transport of contraband cigarettes and other tobacco products,” Comptroller Franchot said. “Their diligence sends a clear message to cheats and crooks that they take a real chance of getting caught as they drive through Maryland with their illegal goods. I am proud of the partnering my agents do with local and state police agencies to level the playing field.”
At 9:30 p.m. on October 31, Pocomoke City PD Pfc. Aljahmi was charged with a felony count of transporting contraband cigarettes and a misdemeanor charge of possession of contraband cigarettes. He was released from custody with a $10,000 unsecured bond set by the Worcester County District Court Commissioner. Aljahmi waived his right to a preliminary hearing. At this time, no trial date has been set in Worcester County Circuit Court.

The Caravan: Rules During an Invasion
The presumption of innocence, a foundational principle, instituted by the founding fathers in our founding document, the Constitution, has evaporated faster than a bead of sweat on Christine Blasey Ford's brow as she awaits a flight to French Polynesia for one of her many surfing vacations.
One rule shot to hell.
What of rules? Why do we have them? Wouldn't it be nice if we were allowed to park our cars wherever we chose to, at our convenience, even if it were in a place that through our ignorance, or inconsideration, resulted in blocking a street at just the moment an ambulance came along, trying to get help to a man who had a heart attack down the block? Humans, left to our own considerations, can be considerably inconsiderate when it comes to others. It's too simple to write this off to cruelty or evil; it's just that in life, we look at what we need and want first and do not always consider how our needs and wants affect others.
This is why the more contemplative among us have endeavored to make a set of rules taking into consideration the broad canvas of life. You cannot, merely because it is convenient, block a street to get your morning coffee, because while it may inconvenience no one in many instances, it might, at an inconvenient moment, result in the death of someone when your conveniently parked car blocks help from arriving.
The world has rules. America, the freest nation on Earth, has rules because without them, people die.

On Election Eve, Nancy Pelosi Promises to Be Speaker: ‘I’m Really Good At What I Do’
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told HuffPost in an interview published Monday that she is confident Democrats will win the House of Representatives, and that she is the best candidate to be Speaker of the House.
The interview notes that Pelosi “is mapping out her speakership before waiting to see if Democrats win control of the House”:
Pelosi is confident about two things ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections: that Democrats will win back the House, and that she’s the best one to lead them forward as speaker once again.
“I know the territory,” Pelosi said in a recent interview, between bites of a chocolate gelato waffle cone in a suburban Maryland cafe. “And I’m really good at what I do.”
Pelosi told HuffPost that she does not want to impeach President Donald Trump — though other leaders, including her deputy, suggested that Trump should be impeached for “treason” after he held a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this year.

Not in National News: Armed Citizen Stops Stabbing Suspect
Story largely ignored by the anti-gun media
An armed bystander with a CHL permit stopped a fleeing suspect after a fatal stabbing in Seattle, Washington, according to local news.
And while the story was picked up by local outlets, it was largely ignored by the anti-gun, national media.
The CHL holder, Scott Brown, said he chased after a knife-wielding man who was fleeing the scene of a domestic dispute.
“I saw a girl on the ground laying on someone’s lap, people rushing over,” he told KCPQ. “I saw the knife in his right hand, so I ran after him. I kept getting him to try and put down the knife.”
“We kept walking backwards and backwards and backwards.”
And, despite having the upper hand with a drawn handgun, Brown said he was getting concerned because it was taking “way too long” for first responders to arrive.
Another man pepper sprayed the suspect to subdue him until police arrived.
While the story was reported by local Seattle media, it barely got any attention by the mainstream media, which isn’t surprising given that the story doesn’t fit into the anti-gun agenda.

NYT: Right-Wingers Aren’t Guilty So No Outrage over NY’s Rise in Anti-Semitism
The New York Times admits no one on the political left cares about New York’s rise in anti-Semitism because it cannot be pinned on the political right.
Hate crimes against Jews represent “half of all hate crimes in New York this year,” the far-left Times reports.
“To put that figure in context, there have been four times as many crimes motivated by bias against Jews — 142 in all — as there have against blacks,” the Times reports. “Hate crimes against Jews have outnumbered hate crimes targeted at transgender people by a factor of 20.”
“[I]n in fact, anti-Semitism was already quietly on the rise. For several years now, expressions of anti-Jewish sentiment have made up the preponderance of hate crime complaints in the city.”
So where is the outrage?
Where are the headlines?

Indiana Dems Make Last Ditch Effort to Split GOP Votes and Save Donnelly
Democrats launched ads and mailers supporting Libertarian candidate without campaign's approval
The Indiana Democrat Party is making a last-ditch effort to save incumbent Democrat senator Joe Donnelly by funding ads and mailers supporting the Libertarian candidate on the ballot in an attempt to split the vote in this heavily conservative state.
As first reported by the Daily Beast, the Indiana Democrat Party on Thursday began purchasing Facebook ads attacking Donnelly's Republican challenger, Mike Braun, as being insufficiently conservative on taxes and government spending. The ads, run through a page created on Oct. 31 called "Hoosier Conservatives," promote Lucy Brenton, the Libertarian candidate, as the "true anti-tax conservative" on the ballot.
Besides being paid for by the Indiana Democrat Party, the ads are "authorized" by Donnelly's campaign, meaning the senator sanctioned their use.
Around the same time the ads went live on Facebook, Democrats mailed thousands of fliers attacking Braun and boosting Benton to households across Indiana.
"I got two of the mailers last week alone, one on Thursday and the other Saturday," Cyril Herder, a conservative activist, told the Washington Free Beacon.
The mailers, which were sent by the Indiana Democrat Party but not authorized by Donnelly's campaign, accuse Braun of having "raised taxes 159 times" during his three-year tenure in the Indiana House of Representatives, voting for "special tax breaks" for timber and landowners, and supporting Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The mailer provides few details to back up its claims.

Women: Democrats Used Kavanaugh Sexual Assault Accusations for Political Gain
The majority of American women say Senate Democrats used sexual assault accusations against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for political gain, a new poll reveals.
The latest Harvard/Harris Poll finds that the majority of American women and men say Democrats were not genuinely concerned with the accusations of sexual assault made by Christine Blasey Ford, but instead were using the allegations and the accuser to score political points.
About 55 percent of all U.S. voters say the Democrats were “just using the allegations” to stop Kavanaugh from getting on the Supreme Court.

‘It’s Giant and Has Like Five Million Buttons.’
With iPhones everywhere, workers are increasingly baffled by their telephones at work
Anthony Acock was swamped at work and needed to make some space on his desk. So the assistant professor of graphic design at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona unplugged his desktop phone and stuck it in a drawer.
“It’s giant and has like five million buttons,” said Mr. Acock, 40 years old. “I don’t even know how to dial out on it.”
At home and work, technology habits have changed a lot over the years—and then there’s the office desk phone. With people carrying smartphones everywhere, a segment of the workforce has a hang up with the clunky office versions. Employees find them annoying and complicated, if they use desk phones at all.
Disconnecting may not be easy, as Mr. Acock found. After a few months, he said, an office manager noticed the phone’s absence and ordered it be put back on the desk.
“I was told to make an appointment with IT to get a training on it, but I just don’t have time for that,” he said.

Breitbart Explained Left’s Playbook in 2012: Calling Everyone ‘Racist’ the ‘Most Effective Tool’
It is the most effective tool that the Democrat-media complex has. --Andrew Breitbart
Long before the Trump presidency, and long before the Resistance, Andrew Breitbart understood that left’s use of the race card was a simply a tactic and effective one at that.
"One of the most effective tactics that the left has is the ability to accuse its opponents of 'being a racist.' It’s an impossible negative to dispel. It immediately puts somebody on the defensive, and it sends a message to the audience: you shouldn’t take seriously what’s coming out of that person’s mouth, because they’ve been degraded as being a racist. "
Now, with the midterms upon us, an unhinged media and an unhinged Hollywood are employing that same tactic with an unparalleled fervor, casting aspersions on any and every deplorable.
It’s a playbook and it’s nothing new.

RNC's McDaniel: Trump 'Only One' Talking About Immigration Fix
The head of the Republican National Committee on Sunday defended President Donald Trump’s controversial tweet of a video featuring an illegal immigrant bragging about killing police officers.
In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee, said the video of a gleefully unrepentant Luis Bracamontes, who was deported multiple times, and the migrant caravan shows “exactly why our immigration system is failing.”
“We didn't want him in the country — he killed police,” she said. “That's not good. This is exactly why our immigration system is failing. And [the president is] pointing that out…”
“There’s only one person right now talking about fixing it and that's the president,” she added.
She also railed at Democrats in Congress for their “resist and obstruct” agenda.
“What Democrat is leading on any issue?” she said. “How many of them are coming to the table saying, ‘I have a solution. Let's work with this president’?
“Name one that said, ‘Let's unify this week,’ when the president went forward and said, ‘This is a time to unify’?

Residents Challenge Climate Change Rules at Delaware’s High Court
Delaware regulators have imposed costly and unlawful climate change regulations on industry in violation of legislative directives, according to three citizen activists who took their case to the state’s highest court.
But before the Delaware Supreme Court can address the substantive questions raised in the residents’ lawsuit, it first must resolve a lower court ruling that “failed to apply the correct legal test for standing,” Richard Abbott, their lawyer, said in an interview with The Daily Signal.
The Superior Court of Delaware ruled in June that residents David T. Stevenson, R. Christian Hudson, and John A. Moore did not have legal standing to challenge the state’s participation in a regional climate change agreement.
The trial court judge “applied the wrong legal standard,” their lawyer told The Daily Signal.
The three men had argued that the agreement’s regulatory restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions would raise their electricity bills. But Judge Richard Stokes decided that they failed to demonstrate this would be the case, and therefore did not have standing.
The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, or RGGI, is a multistate agreement that currently includes Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

'I am the Jewish nurse who treated the synagogue shooter'
The nurse who cared for alleged Pittsburgh synagogue shooter Robert Bowers identified himself in a post on social media.
Ari Mahler came forward in a heartfelt post Saturday night on Facebook.
“I am The Jewish Nurse. Yes, that Jewish Nurse. The same one that people are talking about in the Pittsburgh shooting that left 11 dead. The trauma nurse in the ER that cared for Robert Bowers who yelled, ‘Death to all Jews,’ as he was wheeled into the hospital. The Jewish nurse who ran into a room to save his life,” Mahler began his post.
Mahler was one of three Jewish doctors and nurses to tend to Bowers when he was brought to Allegheny General Hospital with gunshot wounds sustained during a shootout with police after he allegedly killed 11 worshippers at the Tree of Life Congregation on Oct. 27.
The son of a rabbi, Mahler noted that he “experienced anti-Semitism a lot” as a kid, including swastikas drawn on his locker and pictures drawn showing him and his family being marched to a gas chamber. And, he said, he did not tell anyone about the anti-Semitism he was suffering.
Mahler said in his Facebook post that he did not see evil in Bowers eyes but rather “a clear lack of depth, intelligence and palpable amounts of confusion.”
He said that Bowers “thanked him for saving him, for showing him kindness and for treating him the same way I treat every other patient.”
Mahler said that he did not tell Bowers that he was Jewish. “I chose not to say anything the entire time. I wanted him to feel compassion. I chose to show him empathy. I felt that the best way to honor his victims was for a Jew to prove him wrong,” he wrote.
He said he acted out of love.

CNN reporter Randi Kaye "randomly" interviewed a woman at an Obama rally for Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum on Friday, who indicated that the former president has influenced her to vote for Gillum. The woman was Gillum's mother, Francis Gillum.
Kaye, who has promoted using drugs on CNN, asked Francis Gillum at the Miami rally: "Will Barack Obama's presence in this race and here today influence your vote?"
"Uh, I believe that it will," Francis Gillum responded, suggesting that she had not made up her mind prior to Obama campaigning for her son.

'No evidence' to back Kavanaugh accusers' claims, Senate panel's report on FBI probe finds
An investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh by multiple women found that no witnesses could provide evidence to substantiate their claims, a letter to Senate Republicans from the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman said Friday.
According to the 414-page report released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, investigators interviewed more than 40 people, monitored social media and news reports and reviewed evidence provided by the judge and his accusers.
“Following the separate and extensive investigations by both the Committee and the FBI, there was no evidence to substantiate any of the claims of sexual assault made against Justice Kavanaugh,” the report states.

Kavanaugh's nomination set off a battle between Republicans, most of whom defended the judge, and Democrats, who pushed for a large-scale investigation into the women's allegations.“Following the separate and extensive investigations by both the Committee and the FBI, there was no evidence to substantiate any of the claims of sexual assault made against Justice Kavanaugh.”— Report by Senate Judiciary Committee

How Affirmative Action Backfires on Minority Students, and Why Colleges Do It Anyway
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas once recounted the time when his Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School was dismissed from nearly every law firm he considered.
The interviewers, believing him to be a beneficiary of Yale’s aggressive affirmative action policies, which de-emphasized LSAT scores and grades for black students, questioned him pointedly about his qualifications and “doubted I was as smart as my grades indicated,” Thomas wrote in his memoir.
According to Thomas, Yale’s affirmative action quotas had relaxed the standards for his race so much that his achievements were stigmatized and not acknowledged by high society.
After this experience, Thomas pasted a 15-cent sticker he got from a pack of cigarettes next to his Yale Law School degree, as an indication of the mistake he made going to Yale.
Perhaps he may have somewhat understated the value of his elite law school education. But he did not understate the underlying problem facing gifted young minority students like him, and which remains to this day: that our educational culture values surface-level diversity to the extent that it actually undermines the well-being of those who are supposed to benefit from it.

MASSIVE Crowd Comes for Trump’s Late-Election Push in Georgia
MACON, Georgia — It was a rally like no other in Peach State history for a midterm election. As the late Larry Munson, who called University of Georgia football games on the radio for decades, might have said, “President Donald Trump stepped on the record books with a hobnail boot and broke their bindings.”
Several thousand lined up hours early to see Trump make his closing argument for Georgia Republican gubernatorial nominee Brian Kemp, who faces Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams on Tuesday.
“This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime,” Trump said during his introduction. “This is a very important election. I wouldn’t say it’s as important as 2016, but it’s right up there. It’s right up there. It really is. It’s become so incredible, and there is electricity in the air like I haven’t seen since the 2016 big victory that we all had together.”
“Incredible electricity. And in fact, speaking of that, could I ask — look at this. It’s like the Academy Awards. Look at how many cameras. Could I ask you to turn around and shoot? They don’t have to do this with other celebrities when they come here that don’t have very big crowds. Look at the people back there. Shoot it. You’ve got to shoot it.”

DOJ to Monitor Polls in 19 States to Prevent Voter ‘Fraud’
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday that personnel from their Civil Rights Division will “monitor compliance with federal voting rights laws” at polling places in 35 jurisdictions across 19 states to ensure the integrity of the midterm elections against “fraud,” said U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
“Citizens of America control this country through their selection of their governmental officials at the ballot box. Likewise, fraud in the voting process will not be tolerated. Fraud also corrupts the integrity of the ballot,” said Sessions in a DOJ press release.
He said the department will use “every lawful tool that we have, both civil and criminal, to protect the rights of millions of Americans to cast their vote unimpeded at one of more than 170,000 precincts across America.”

Subject: MSNBC correspondent blocked handicap parking at early voting facility in Texas
An MSNBC correspondent blocked two handicapped parking spots and a handicapped loading area in Texas outside of an early voting facility, forcing people with disabilities to seek alternate parking in order to vote.
James Berrie, a disabled Air Force veteran, had to find a different place to park after finding Mariana Atencio and her crew taking up the only spot his van could use. Berrie confronted the crew, expressed his displeasure, and asked them to move before heading in to cast his vote.
But when Berrie emerged from Houston's Bayland Community Center he found that the crew hadn't moved and were preparing for another live shot. Berrie said his wife, Susan, became angry and even stepped into the crew's live shot, forcing MSNBC to cut the feed and move their van to another location. Berrie said he and his wife were backed up by other bystanders and local firefighters.

MIT Professor Reveals Bots Helped Hillary Clinton More Than Trump
Social media bots helped failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton more than President Trump during the 2016 presidential election, according to a paper from an MIT associate professor.
In a paper, Monday, Tauhid Zaman, an associate professor of operations management at the MIT Sloan School of Management, revealed that “Trump bots were far less effective at shifting people’s opinions than the smaller proportion of bots backing Hillary Clinton.”
“Given much of the news reporting, we were expecting the bots to help Trump – but they didn’t. In a network without bots, the average human user had a pro-Clinton score of 42 out of 100. With the bots, though, we had found the average human had a pro-Clinton score of 58,” Zaman declared. “That shift was a far larger effect than we had anticipated, given how few and unconnected the bots were. The network structure had amplified the bots’ power.”

Trump says foreign aid 'probably just stolen' by Central American leaders
President Trump vowed to reduce foreign aid to Central American countries whose citizens are marching toward the U.S. border, saying Sunday that the money "is probably just stolen" by corrupt leaders.
"We pay these countries by the way -- Honduras, El Salvador -- we pay these counties hundreds of millions of dollars, which by the way we will be stopping very soon," Trump said at a campaign rally in Georgia.
"They don't do a damned thing, they don't do a damned thing for us," Trump said.
After a crowd of thousands of asylum seekers entered Mexico, Trump announced in an Oct. 22 tweet that he would "begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign aid" to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
The large caravan includes many people concerned about poverty, violence, and corruption in their home countries. Trump argues, however, that the march amounts to an attempted "invasion" of the U.S., with many criminal members.

The 2018 Midterms Matter. Don’t Let Others Determine the Outcome for You.
Listening to the pundits and prognosticators, you’d think control of Congress has already been decided. But the fight for our nation’s future is far from finished. It’s happening this week when millions will take part in their civic responsibility on Election Day.
Regardless of who wins and who loses, there are certain issues the next Congress will be forced to address.
The cost of health care is not sustainable for many Americans. Most polls show this is the top issue for voters—and for good reason. Eight years after President Barack Obama signed it into law, the Affordable Care Act has proved to be anything but affordable. It’s time for Congress to enact reforms that help reduce health care costs while increasing coverage choices for everyone.
The debate over immigration has once again been pushed into the public square, as a caravan of several thousand people makes its way through Mexico toward the United States. The president can’t address this alone. Congress must act to secure America’s borders.
Unemployment is down across the board. That’s good news for everybody, but we need to ensure the economy keeps growing. One of the best ways Congress can do that is making sure tax reform keeps putting money in your hands, not the government’s. Making last year’s tax cuts permanent for American families would almost certainly boost economic growth.
And, if you thought Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s hearings would end the angst over judicial appointments, think again. More than 100 judgeships on our federal circuit and district courts remain unfilled.

Dan Crenshaw Won’t Demand Apology from SNL’s Pete Davidson
On Sunday, TMZ caught up with Dan Crenshaw, a Republican candidate for Congress in Texas who lost his eye in Afghanistan and found himself the butt of a tasteless Saturday Night Live joke.
SNL’s Pete Davidson made light of Crenshaw’s war injury during the most recent live show, saying: “I’m sorry. I know he lost his eye in war or whatever … Whatever.”
That jab prompted calls for an apology — and even a CNN panel slamming the attempt at a joke — but Crenshaw doesn’t think an apology is needed.
In fact, he said that the culture of apology-demanding is just not healthy for America.
“I want us to get away from this culture where we demand an apology every time someone misspeaks,” Crenshaw said.
He added: “I think that would be very healthy for our nation to go in that direction. We don’t need to be outwardly outraged. I don’t need to demand apologies from them. They can do whatever they want, you know. They are feeling the heat from around the country right now and that’s fine.”

In Afghanistan, failure is heaped on failure
We have failed in Afghanistan, and our government is beginning to admit it.
Numbers from the 41st quarterly report to Congress by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, SIGAR, offer a clear and bleak assessment, reaffirming what the public and lawmakers have long known, which is that President George W. Bush's ambitious project to build a nation-state in that remote tribal territory was flawed and unrealistic. It has failed spectacularly.
Despite thousands of American lives, billions of dollars, and more than 17 years of American military operations there, the Kabul government is losing, not gaining, control of territory, the Taliban fights on, corruption is endemic and rampant, elections are violent, democracy is incapable of taking hold, and the war on drugs is a failure.

Pelosi's Top Legislative Priority Would Punish Dissenters on LGBT Issues
Nancy Pelosi made headlines last week stating that if Democrats reclaim the House of Representatives, a top agenda item will be to pass laws banning disagreement on LGBT issues.
Of course those aren’t the exact words she used, but when “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” are elevated to protected classes in antidiscrimination law, that’s the effect that the government policy has.
But not every disagreement is discrimination, and our law shouldn’t suppose otherwise.
The Heritage Foundation has long opposed the expansion of antidiscrimination laws to elevate “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” as protected classes. Where enacted, these laws—known as SOGI laws—are frequently used as swords to persecute people with unpopular beliefs, rather than as shields to protect people from unjust discrimination.
Part of the problem with these laws is that they treat reasonable actions as if discriminatory.

Redistricting on the Ballot: Voters Could Reduce Politicians' Role in 4 States
Voters in several states could reduce politicians' role in the process of drawing voting districts.
For a full summary of November's most important ballot measures, click here.
Every 10 years, political battle lines deepen as one party accuses another of manipulating district boundaries to win more seats. The fight over 2010 restricting is still ongoing.
In June, a federal court ordered Virginia to redraw legislative districts it deemed to be gerrymandered along racial lines. In two other cases, one that accused Republicans of partisan gerrymandering in Wisconsin and another accusing Democrats in Maryland, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to offer a definitive opinion on the issue.

Work Requirement Approved for Wisconsin Medicaid
President Donald Trump's administration has approved Gov. Scott Walker's controversial plan to require childless adults on Medicaid to work or lose coverage, but the federal government rejected Walker's proposal to require drug screening and testing.
The state on Wednesday received permission to enact several changes to BadgerCare coverage for poor adults who don't have dependent children, such as limiting eligibility to four years unless people work, train for a job or participate in certain other activities.

Native Americans' Last-Ditch Effort Fails to Block North Dakota Voter ID Law
A last-minute attempt by tribal leaders to suspend a North Dakota law that requires voters to have a valid ID with a residential street address has failed.
U.S. District Chief Judge Daniel Hovland denied a temporary restraining order filed by the Spirit Lake Sioux and six individuals against Secretary of State Al Jaeger, according to a news release issued Thursday. The 41-page restraining order, which was filed Monday, was meant to suspend the North Dakota voting law that makes ID cards with post office box addresses invalid at the polls.
The ruling comes after the U.S. Supreme Court sided with North Dakota in early October, stating the voter ID law passed by the Legislature in April 2013 was constitutional.
Before the law was enacted, IDs with P.O. boxes were acceptable, but the legislation specifically banned that type of address.
Plaintiffs in the Supreme Court case argued about 18 percent of Native Americans don't have an ID with residential addresses, compared to 11 percent for non-Native voters. North Dakota has about 70,000 voters who do not have a correct ID, Jamie Azure, tribal chairman of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, said in a Washington Post article.

Wake Up America, VOTE
Twas the night before elections,
And all thru' the town,
Tempers were flaring
Emotions ran up and down.
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap,
Had shut off the TV,
tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden,
There arose such a noise,
I peered out my window,
Saw Pelosi and her boys
They had come for my wallet,
They wanted my pay
To hand out to others
Who had not worked a day!
They snatched up my money,
And quick as a wink,
Jumped back on their bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink.
She then rallied her henchmen
Who were pulling her cart.
I could tell they were out
To tear my Country apart!
On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Schumer and Ayers!
On Acorn, on Waters
She screamed at the pairs!
They took off for her cause,
And as they flew out of sight,
I heard her laugh at a nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note ...
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM,
GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA ,
OUR ONLY HOPE.....
Inside the Secret Courts of Massachusetts
Leneeth Suazo, four months pregnant, had tried to ignore her ex-boyfriend’s menacing voice mails, phone calls, and text messages since he kicked her out of his apartment.
Now it was New Year’s Eve and the doorbell wouldn’t stop ringing at the apartment complex where Suazo had taken refuge. She knew it was Jim Phane outside, pressing every buzzer in the building.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door. Phane, let in by a neighbor, was standing there, begging Suazo to talk to him.
Fearful that he’d attack her as he had once before, Suazo discreetly pressed record on her cellphone. Phane threatened her, and when he noticed the phone was recording their conversation, he lunged.
“Jim, don’t touch me. Don’t touch my face. I don’t want you to touch me . . . Stop!”
Suazo later told police that he grabbed her jaw, shoved her, and elbowed her belly before fleeing as she screamed. A judge granted a restraining order, based on her application outlining the alleged history of violence, and police sought a felony assault and battery charge against the ex-boyfriend.

Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters Vow Revenge And Ramped-Up Russiagate If Dems Take House
Democratic lawmakers are licking their chops for the opportunity to settle a few scores and ensure that "Russiagate" follows President Trump into the 2020 election.
California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters told a group of constituents last week what she would do after the November 6th election, which she said "may be the most important one that you've ever had to experience."
The 80-year-old Rep. will chair the Financial Services Committee if Democrats regain control of the House.
"I will be the first African-American, the first woman to chair the powerful Financial Services Committee," Waters said. "That’s all of Wall Street. That’s all the insurance companies, that’s all the banks. And so, of course, the CEOs of the banks now are saying, ‘What can we do to stop Maxine Waters because if she gets in she’s going to give us a bad time?'"
She then threatened Republicans:
"I have people who are homeless who have never gotten back into a home. What am I going to do to you? What I am going to do to you is fair. I’m going to do to you what you did to us," Waters vowed.
