Trump, Pence Blast DNC Speakers 'Not One of Them Named ISIS'

“This man,” Pence declared, referencing Trump, “will name our enemies without apology and he will defeat them.”

Mike Pence criticized the Democratic Party for not talking about the threat of terrorism and ISIS during the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday night.
During an appearance at the VFW on Tuesday morning, Pence recalled the speakers at the DNC on Monday, saying, “It is extraordinary to think yesterday in Philadelphia, 61 speakers came to the podium and not one of them named ISIS by name.”
“This man,” Pence declared, referencing Trump, “will name our enemies without apology and he will defeat them.”

EXCLUSIVE - Juanita Broaddrick Provides Never Before Published Details On Bill Clinton's Rape

Juanita Broaddrick has told this reporter that she was raped not once but twice by Bill Clinton during the same infamous encounter in 1978.

Broaddrick has rarely discussed the actual details of the alleged incident due to the graphic and traumatic nature of the event.

In August 2000, Connecticut Rep. Chris Shays told a local talk show that based on evidence to which he was privy from the Clinton impeachment trial, he found that Broaddrick had “disclosed that she had been raped, not once, but twice” to Senate Judiciary Committee investigators.

“I believed that he had done it,” Shays continued. “I believed her that she had been raped 20 years ago. And it was vicious rapes, it was twice at the same event.”

Now Broaddrick has for the first time publically confirmed her account that Clinton raped her twice.

She said that after the first round, in which the much stronger Clinton had her pinned down for a period of time, she was relieved when she thought it was over and was hoping he would leave the room.

Instead, she says Clinton turned to her and told her words to the effect of “I am going to do it again.”

Clinton campaign also hacked in attacks on Democrats - sources

The computer network used by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign was hacked as part of a broad cyber attack on Democratic political organizations, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The latest attack, which was disclosed to Reuters on Friday, follows reports of two other hacks on the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, and the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.

A Clinton campaign spokesman said in a statement late on Friday that an analytics data program maintained by the DNC and used by the campaign and a number of other entities "was accessed as part of the DNC hack."

"Our campaign computer system has been under review by outside cyber security experts. To date, they have found no evidence that our internal systems have been compromised," said Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill.

Susan Sarandon says Hillary Clinton 'more dangerous' than Trump: 'She has done horrible things'

Hollywood actress and activist Susan Sarandon says former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be a more dangerous U.S. president than Donald Trump — provided she’s not indicted first.

Ms. Sarandon, a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, told a liberal news outlets this week that Mrs. Clinton’s track record portends a much worse future than anything Mr. Trump might catalyze as commander in chief.

“I believe in a way she is more dangerous,” the actress told The Young Turks on Thursday. “They’re both talking to Henry Kissinger, apparently. … She did not learn from Iraq, and she is an interventionist, and she has done horrible things — and very callously. I don’t know if she is overcompensating or what her trip is. That scares me. I think we’ll be in Iran in two seconds.”

The former “Thelma and Louise” star said voters are being “fed” a message that Mr. Trump is “so dangerous” when his promises on illegal immigration amount to a wall being built.

The best cartoons making fun of Hillary Clinton’s Democratic Convention

THE BEATLES’ “Hack in the U.S.S.R.”
“Vlad to the Bone / Putin’ on the Ritz (medley)”
“Debbie in a Blue Dress”
So many songs, it seems, could have made the Democratic Convention playlist so far to aptly reflect the headlines and headliners of the week in Philly.
“He Ain’t Heavy (He’s My Bernie)”
“Michelle (Her Spell)”
“Won’t You Carry Me, Hill? (Wedding Bill Blues)”
Yes, if the pundits had been DJ’ing the DNC — which has ranged from stirring political passion to over-the-top mocking — you might be hear far more than “Fight Song” and Bono piping into the Wells Fargo Center.

Germans unhappy with Angela Merkel over recent ISIS terror attack and refugee policy

Angela Merkel's open door policy to refugees is no longer welcomed in Germany following four savage Muslim attacks in a week.

Attitudes to Syrians seeking asylum has hardened after ISIS suicide bomber Mohammad Daleel blew himself up outside a wine bar in the quiet in the quiet Barvarian market town of Ansbach.

Other violence over the space of four days in the last week has left Germans feeling vulnerable and afraid. A new survey found that 83 per cent of Germans see immigration as their nation's biggest challenge - twice as many as a year ago.

More than 200,000 failed asylum seekers like Daleel remain in the country - and many Germans blame Merkel for inviting more than a million refugees into the country in the past year without adequate background checks.

The mood sweeping Germany was summed up by mother of two Anna Lissner who said she now feared for her children's safety.

Sad news from Assateague Island

Assateague Island National Seashore

We regret to inform you that this afternoon, Friday, July 29th, N10OY, a 16 year old stallion also known as Tunkan Hoksila, was hit by a car. Because he suffered a broken leg, Tunkan was humanly euthanized. Our law enforcement officers are currently investigating this incident.

The death of Tunkan makes 30 horses that have been killed since 1982 as a result of vehicle collisions. Please do your part to help us ensure that this doesn’t happen again. We can not emphasize enough the need to remain alert at all times while driving through the national seashore, especially around the wild horses!

(3) Don’t encourage the horses to come to your vehicle. Not only is this illegal, it encourages the horses to stay near the road to look for handouts.

Batts Elaborates On Comments Decrying Mosby's Prosecution Of Officers

Anthony Batts, the former Baltimore police commissioner, elaborated Thursday on his comments to The Baltimore Sun calling State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby "immature," "incompetent" and "vindictive" in her prosecution of six officers in the death of Freddie Gray.

While he told Phil Yacuboski he stands by those comments, he said those aren't problems that she can't fix. He compared Mosby to the brash young police lieutenants he would see as a chief of police in Baltimore and, before that, Oakland and Long Beach in California.

"I think she has the potential to do good things, but it's going to take shifting, it's going to take rebuilding, it's going to take significant effort to get the things that she wants to get done, done," Batts said.

Batts, who was forced out of his Baltimore job after homicides spiked last summer, is now a consultant training police commanders.

Asked to look back on the investigation, he said he reassigned more than 30 detectives and other personnel working on other cases to investigate the Gray case and reconstruct the entire days of the officers involved. Prosecutors say police did not execute warrants for cell phone records; Batts said that for his part, he did forward the warrants to officers.

Trump: "I Hope Russia Has All 33,000 Emails That Hillary Deleted"

In yet another statement that is certain to spark outrage among Democrats, moments ago Donald Trump said he hopes that Russian hackers accused of breaching the DNC have obtained the tens of thousands of emails that Hillary Clinton deleted from her private email server, and that they will release them.

"If they hacked, they probably have her 33,000 emails. I hope they do," Trump told reporters on Wednesday at a press conference at his Miami-area hotel, adding that "I wish I had that power. I'd love to have that power" to orchestrate the alleged email hack and leak.

"They probably have her 33,000 emails that she lost and deleted. You'd see some beauties, so we'll see."

"Told police that is how he drives back home in Pennsylvania."

Showed Them What He Can Do

OCEAN CITY — A Pennsylvania man faces multiple traffic violations this week after allegedly speeding down Coastal Highway when his friends urged him to “show them what he could do.”

Around 2:45 a.m. last Friday, a call when out over Ocean City Police radio to be on the lookout for a red vehicle heading south on Coastal Highway at a high rate of speed. An officer spotted the vehicle and reported its male passenger was hanging out of the window. Another OCPD officer attempted to stop the vehicle at 36th Street where it was observed running through a red light on southbound Coastal Highway.

The officer made a U-turn, activated his lights and siren and began pursuing the red vehicle, driven by Devon Lutz, 20, of Lebanon, Pa. With two OCPD vehicles now in pursuit, Lutz continued down Coastal Highway southbound at an estimated 80-90 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone. According to police reports, the officer increased his speed, but Lutz steadily pulled away from the pursuit.

Lutz was observed running red lights at 30th Street, 28th Street, 26th Street and 23rd Street. At 26th Street, Lutz crossed over from the center lane all the way to the bus lane and passed roughly 10 vehicles while traveling in the bus lane. The pursuing officers lost sight of Lutz’s vehicle around 23rd Street.

Hillary Clinton is a symbol of scandal

Though she escaped indictment, Hillary has exhausted the public’s patience with disgrace

Democrats gathered for their convention in Philadelphia know Hillary Clinton did not escape her latest bout with scandal unscathed. While Hillary once more remained one step ahead of the law, she is several steps behind the public. She could not have picked a worse time for her latest foray into the ethical morass.

With the latest CNN/ORC poll showing Mrs. Clinton hitting an all-time high of 68 percent of respondents believing her dishonest and untrustworthy, the best she can say about the FBI’s investigation into her use of a private email account while secretary of State is that she was not indicted. If ever there was damning by faint praise for a person seeking the nation’s highest office, this is it.

However the investigation hardly exonerated her, because it indicted everything else about her handling of the situation. In reaching his curious conclusion that Hillary Clinton should not be prosecuted — a huge step outside his proper role in the investigative process — FBI Director James Comey refuted all Hillary’s key assertions of her innocence.

As for her assertion that she used a single device for simplicity, Mr. Comey stated, “Clinton used several different servers and numerous mobile devices.”

Maryland offers limited immunity for overdose calls

With a number of overdose deaths tied to heroin consumption on the Eastern Shore reported in recent months, people may wonder what is the best course of action if they encounter someone having a potentially deadly reaction to opioids.

The Maryland Good Samaritan Act, which became effective on Oct. 1, 2015, provides limited criminal immunity if a 911 call is placed regarding a possible overdose. The caller will not be arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia or providing alcohol to minors. The law may also provide immunity for the overdose victim.

Lt. Ed Schreier, of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, said the law protects both civilians and first responders.

IRS Launches Investigation Of Clinton Foundation

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen referred congressional charges of corrupt Clinton Foundation “pay-to-play” activities to his tax agency’s exempt operations office for investigation, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

The request to investigate the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation on charges of “public corruption” was made in aJuly 15 letter by 64 House Republicans to the IRS, FBI and Federal Trade Commission (FTC). They charged the foundation is “lawless.”

The initiative is being led by Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican who serves as the vice chairwoman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, which oversees FTC. The FTC regulates public charities alongside the IRS.

The lawmakers charged the Clinton Foundation is a “lawless ‘pay-to-play’ enterprise that has been operating under a cloak of philanthropy for years and should be investigated.”

Koskinen’s July 22 reply came only a week after the House Republicans contacted the tax agency. It arrived to their offices Monday, the first opening day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

“We have forwarded the information you have submitted to our Exempt Organizations Program in Dallas,” Koskinen told the Republicans.

Case dismissed against man convicted in death of Chandra Levy

WASHINGTON – Prosecutors will no longer seek a retrial of Ingmar Guandique, the man who was charged in the death of intern Chandra Levy, and have asked for the charges against him to be dismissed, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. announced Thursday.

“Today, in the interests of justice and based on recent unforeseen developments that were investigated over the past week, the office moved to dismiss the case charging Ingmar Guandique with the May 2001 murder of Chandra Levy,” according to a written statement.

Prosecutors said they can no longer prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Guandique killed Levy and filed a motion to dismiss the case on Thursday. Later in the day, Judge Robert Morin signed an order granting the dismissal of charges.

The retrial was scheduled to begin in October.

Vietnam Vet Shot For Being a Trump Supporter

A political discussion at a bar in Cleveland ended with a Vietnam vet being shot in the leg because of his support for Donald Trump.

60-year-old Paul Jones, Jr. was having a conversation with a friend at Winston’s Place near E. 131st Street and Miles Avenue on Monday evening.

A man sitting nearby overheard the chat and immediately became aggressive.

“He butted in the conversation,” Jones told WEWS from his hospital bed. “The conversation wasn’t directed at him or to him.”

The man continued to get more irate, going to his car to retrieve a gun before he returned and shot Jones in the thigh.

The shooter fled the scene and detectives are still searching for him.

“I’m quite sure you have a lot of people having their own opinions. But that doesn’t mean you should hurt somebody because you have your own opinion,” said Jones’ mother Latosca.

ABC: DNC Email Leak Reveals Perks of Being Big Democratic Donor

Major Democratic Party donors enjoy serious perks for their big contributions, emails from the Democratic National Committee reveal that are part of the recent Wikileaks dump.

ABC reporter Brian Ross detailed on Wednesday some of these privileges awaiting high dollar Democratic donors in Philadelphia during the Democratic National Convention, which have been exposed after Wikileaks released approximately 20,000 DNC emails.

“A price for everything, including what it costs for a private dinner with Hillary Clinton. It’s all about the money,” Ross said. “From the welcoming parties with a woman dancer in a bubble in the middle of a fountain at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the nighttime cruises to the luxury suites at the convention center and the private parties with gourmet scrambled eggs and caviar.”

Ross also reported that a private dinner with Clinton costs $200,000.

Former police commissioner: Mosby 'incompetent' and 'vindictive'

The former police commissioner in charge when Freddie Gray died from injuries sustained in a Baltimore police van said State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby is "in over her head" and has added more flaws to a broken justice system by prosecuting innocent officers.

"She's immature, she's incompetent, she's vindictive and that's not how the justice system is supposed to work," former Baltimore police commissioner Anthony W. Batts said on Wednesday. "The justice system is supposed to be without bias for police officers, for African Americans, for everyone."

Batts led Baltimore police from the fall of 2012 until Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake fired him in July 2015 amid a surge in city homicides that followed weeks of criticism from the police union over his handling of the city's riots two months before.

Federal Reserve President Is a Max Donor to Clinton

Janet Yellen, who chairs the Fed, maintains it is an independent, nonpartisan organization

Robert Steven Kaplan, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and an alternate voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, is a max donor to the Hillary Clinton campaign, according to Federal Election Commission documents.

Kaplan, a former Harvard Business School professor and former executive at Goldman Sachs, donated $2,700 to Hillary for America, Clinton’s campaign committee, on May 6, 2015, for the primary and another$2,700 on June 30, 2015, towards the general election, the maximum donation an individual can contribute to a candidate in a single cycle.

He also donated $2,300 to Hillary Clinton for President in 2007 for the primary and $2,100 in 2005. Kaplan is a donor to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, giving between $25,000 and $50,000 to the group. He also gave $147,450 to Democratic candidates and campaigns, including $45,600 that went to the Democratic National Committee, and gave $15,450 to Republican candidates and campaigns.

DNC Shared Its Donor Appointement List With White House

New details have emerged about a possible “pay-to-play” scheme that surfaced in the Democratic National Committee documents released by Wikileaks last week.

The Democratic National Committee’s national finance director sent a White House official who handles personnel matters a list of Democratic donors that the DNC hand-picked for appointments to federal boards and commissions.

The Daily Caller reported earlier this week that Jordan Kaplan, the DNC finance director, sought guidance from his colleagues on what donors to choose for federal appointments. Names were collected, and a spreadsheet entitled “Boards and Commissions” was created.

Following up on that report, OpenSecrets, the blog of the Center for Responsive Politics, which monitors political spending, found an email from Kaplan to Amanda Moose, a special assistant to the President for presidential personnel, which appears to show coordination about the appointments between the DNC and the White House.

Hillary Clinton cured Bill's hesitancy to touch women

PHILADELPHIA — He might be long in the tooth, sallow in the face and his finger wag might have a bit more of an uncontrolled tremble to it, but boy does Bill Clinton still have that old drive.

With a bleary twinkle in his eye, the former president and world’s most dangerous minder of young White House interns still gets lusty just thinking about chasing skirt.

“First time I saw her, we were, appropriately enough, in class,” he rasped Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention. I half expected the band to kick up a version of “Centerfold” by J. Geils Band or Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher.”

That is when Bill Clinton is at his most entertaining: talking about his weakness for the flesh.

Clinton Adviser Claims 'Private' Emails A National Security Issue

Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy adviser Jake Sullivan insisted Wednesday that about thirty thousand emails she deleted were private while maintaining that hacking into them was an issue of national security.

“A presidential candidate encouraging a foreign power to hack American citizens isn’t a national security issue? You and I will have to disagree on this. But surely we can agree that a presidential candidate encouraging a foreign power to interfere in our democratic process is a national security issue,” Sullivan said in an exclusive emailed statement to The Daily Caller.

Sullivan was responding to an earlier statement he made in response to a tweet from Donald Trump suggesting that Russia should hack and release about thirty thousand emails which Hillary Clinton said she deleted because they were on private matters — like her yoga schedule and Chelsea Clinton’s wedding plans.

AP FACT CHECK: Misfires in Hillary Clinton’s speech

WASHINGTON (AP) — In her speech accepting the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton wrongly implied Donald Trump has proposed banning Islam in America and sketched out a plan for defeating Islamic State militants that merely mirrors what the U.S. is already trying to do.

Clinton spoke Thursday night to the largest TV audience she is likely to have until the presidential debates, meaning many Americans were probably hearing of her agenda for the first time. Although she brings plenty of policy detail when stacked against the broad-brush ideas of her Republican rival, in some cases there’s less than meets the eye to what she says she will do.

A college education, for example, might not end up as debt-free for everyone as she suggested.

For his part, Trump spun a story about the Iran nuclear deal that was more fiction than fact at an Iowa rally that preceded Clinton’s convention speech.

A look at some of the claims from the political maelstrom:

The U.S. Presidential Election is a Mess - Thank Goodness!

Let's put in bluntly: the United States Presidential election campaign is a complete and utter mess. We are looking a country that is deeply divided on key and fundamental differences. We are looking at two potential leaders that stand in stark difference to one another and are attracting very different supporters because of this. Thank God!

Finally, we are seeing a campaign that is different. Finally, we are seeing an election cycle that your vote will make a difference. In the past, any Presidential candidate you voted for was typically controlled by the same financial elite pulling their strings. They have been the puppet masters behind the scenes for decades.

Arguably, we have not seen a real President of the United States since the era of Reagan, and even he was made to step in line after his botched assassination attempt.

Unfortunately, it is not all peaches and cream. Hillary Clinton is the still the establishment's candidate. This cannot be argued. All one must do is look at the utter and complete corruption that surrounds her and the massive flows of money from financial institutions pouring into her coffers.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is finding that support among the elite and the old Republican establishment is barely forthcoming, if at all. Not only this, he has been demonized by the mainstream media like no other Presidential candidate in the past. These two points are reason enough to vote for him, and to tell you that he is not controlled by the establishment. These two points give me incredible faith for the future of the United States and its people.

Top Federal Regulator: ‘She’ Will Be President

FCC commissioner flirts with politics at DNC-area event with Hillary adviser

A leading federal regulator appeared to signal her support for Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid at a Tuesday event near the Democratic National Convention that also featured a senior adviser to the Clinton campaign.

Federal Communications Commissioner Mignon Clyburn suggested that Clinton, not Republican rival Donald Trump, would be the next president of the United States in remarks made in her official capacity.

Clyburn, a former acting chair of the FCC, “suggested she’s ready to take a larger role if called to do so again,” according to a Communications Daily report on the event.

“I’m looking forward, whatever my title is, to working with whoever she is that will be elected soon,” Clyburn said. She then acknowledged her use of the word “she.”

“Yes, I said it out loud,” Mignon said.

Doug Casey On President Hillary Clinton, World War III, & The Deep State

Will Hillary Clinton win in November and ensure the Deep State stays in control?

I recently sat down with Casey Research founder Doug Casey to discuss this. Doug is a former classmate of Bill Clinton and has met him several times, including once at the White House.

Doug shared his insights on why a Clinton win could accelerate the onset of World War III.

We also touched on how Donald Trump will destroy the Republican Party… and why it’s a good thing.

I think you’ll find our discussion insightful.

Nick Giambruno: There is a popular conception that only the “best and brightest” go into government. I think this is a sacred cow that needs to be slaughtered. What’s your take, Doug?

Doug Casey: It’s a real problem when a pernicious myth subverts reality. Everybody believes that the institution of government is like Camelot—a wise ruler assisted by noble paladins. Maybe that meme gained traction in recent times with John Kennedy and his good-looking wife, Jackie. They looked like an ideal couple. They weren’t. But they were a lot better than what followed for the next 50 years…

The fact is that the high levels of government do get people with high IQs. They can pass tests. They’re skilled at manipulating both laws and people. But they tend to be of low moral character, number one. Number two, despite their high IQs, they’re actually quite stupid. Let me explain these things.

From a moral point of view, there are two types of people in the world. People who believe in coercion when dealing with their fellow humans. And people who believe in dealing voluntarily with their fellow humans.

Cummings: Protesters during DNC speech were ‘disrespectful’

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings says he thinks liberal supporters of Bernie Sanders who chanted an anti-trade slogan during his speech to the Democratic National Convention were “disrespectful.”

But Cummings says he is not upset about it because he is a veteran of civil rights protests and understands the passions that drove the mostly young delegates to shout over him on Monday. More than 100 people have since apologized for the outbursts, Cummings said.

In an interview Thursday, Cummings said most of those who were shouting probably didn’t know that he worked with Sanders as chairman of the convention’s platform drafting committee. “Bernie got 90 percent of what he wanted,” he said.

Cummings, an African American and close ally of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, was in the middle of a speech in which he remembered his late father — a sharecropper in South Carolina — and spoke about the Black Lives Matter movement when Sanders’ supporters started chanting “No TPP” and holding up signs.

‘Partners in Crime’ expert: IRS has new ‘cover-up’

Criticism follows agency's announcement it is 'investigating' nonprofit
The Internal Revenue Service has confirmed it is going to investigate reports of “pay-to-play” corruption at the Clinton Foundation, but an expert on “Partners in Crime” says the result likely will be just another government “cover-up.”

According to a report from the Daily Caller, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has referred a complaint about foundation corruption from Congress to his agency’s exempt operations office for investigation.

The IRS, of course, has seen its own scandals in the last couple of years, where its officials admitted they targeted conservative and Christian organizations for a general type of harassment – delays in their form processing and the like, prompting outrage from the American public because of the political nature of the attacks.

Now, the IRS is to be investigating the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation on charges of “public corruption.”

That letter from dozens of members of Congress was directed to the FBI, the IRS and the Federal Trade Commission and charged that the foundation is “lawless.”

Zoo animals are starving to death at Venezuela's zoos

Venezuela is no stranger to crisis. In recent years, the South American country has been on the brink of economic collapse.

A drastic fall in oil prices, which provides almost all of Venezuela's foreign income, has been followed by a severe recession and widespread food and medicine shortages.

For Venezuelans, the scarcity has led to choosing between waiting in hours-long lines for basic food supplies or succumbing to sky-high prices on the black market.

That scarcity has now spread to Venezuela's zoos, where food shortages have left some animals emaciated or even dying.

One Reader's Reaction To Bill Clinton's Speech: "A Harlequin Romance Novel"

Donald Trump, perhaps unsurprisingly, was among the first to criticize former President Bill Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention last night, saying he left out "the most interesting chapter." As The Hill reports, it was a reference to Clinton's affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and other 1990s scandals that drew headlines during the Clinton administration.

"Even the story told by her husband last night, he left out the most interesting chapter. I won't get into that," Trump said Wednesday during a press conference at his Miami-area hotel of President Clinton's speech.

"The chapter that I really waited for, because it was really boring, the chapter I waited for, I never heard," the GOP presidential nominee said.

Bill Clinton's speech focused on his personal relationship with his wife, including their courtship. He largely skipped over the 1990s, a decision that seemed designed to draw attention away from his own years in power but that also sidestepped allegations of infidelity.

These Are The Two Companies That Might Land Clinton In Hot Water

News recently broke that Hillary Clinton’s foundation is under IRS investigation, and at least part of that investigation centers on two companies.

House Republicans reported that Laureate Education and Uranium One have payed out (in the tens of millions) to the Clinton Foundation and in return have received legitimate government benefits.

The Russian Atomic Energy Agency, Rosatom, purchased in January 2005 a Canadian company — UrAsia — with uranium stakes stretching from Central Asia to Western America, reports the New York Times. This purchase made the Russian agency one of the largest uranium producers in the world.

Leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have donated in excess of $25 million according to the Clinton Foundation’s website, built and eventually sold the Russians the aformentioned company that is today known as Uranium One.

Noodles & Co. restaurant in Virginia denies service to female police officer

Employees at an Alexandria, Virginia, Noodles & Co. denied service to a female police officer in uniform on Monday, prompting an investigation from the company.

After seeing the cop waiting in line, a female cook at the restaurant told the cashier, “You better pull me off the line, because I’m not cooking for,” before making a gesture in the direction of the officer, Fox 5 DC reported.

The cook and the cashier proceeded to laugh at the officer, who didn’t want to make a scene and left the restaurant.

Police Chief Earl Cook went to the store on Tuesday to speak with the store’s managers, who reportedly apologized and said they would conduct an internal investigation.

Limbaugh after Bill Clinton speech: ‘Why would he ever cheat on such a wonderful woman?’

Radio host: ‘Why does anybody have to tell us who she is?’

Radio host Rush Limbaugh made a plea to his listeners on Wednesday to have them grab nearby Millennials so he could give them the “real” story on Bill and Hillary Clinton before asking: “Why would he ever cheat on such a wonderful woman?”

The former president gave what Mr. Limbaugh called a “superb” performance at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Tuesday night. The conservative commentator said that while many young people on social media “are not buying” the political pitch, many of the 24.3 million Americans who watched the event are unfamiliar with his past.

“Bill Clinton is the guy that said, ‘The era of Big Government is over.’ Whether or not he meant it or not, he said it. Any number of other things: The crime bill, a hundred thousand new cops. He did everything in opposition to Black Lives Matter and the things that animate the existence of the Democrat Party today,” Mr. Limbaugh said.

Concealed carry permits at all-time high

Women, minorities fasting-growing groups seeking license

More than 14.5 million Americans are now licensed to carry a concealed handgun — a jump of 1.73 million in just a year, according to new research that says women and black Americans are among the most eager to sign up.

More than 6 percent of the adult population in the U.S. now has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, according toJohn R. Lott Jr. at the Crime Prevention Research Center. And those who actually carry is likely much higher because nearly a dozen states don’t even require a permit to do so, he said.

Florida, Texas and Pennsylvania each have more than 1 million registered permit holders, while in the smaller states of Indiana and South Dakota, about 15 percent of all adults are permitted.

“Part of it is just Obama. We have had a big increase in people buying guns, but it’s pretty clear it’s broader. It’s not just the number of guns, it’s clear more people are using guns,” Mr. Lott said.
