After Cop Illegally Enters Home, Video Captures Him Handcuffing Terrified Woman Who’s Wearing Only a Towel

“When a cop shows up, you’re not the one in charge. I don’t care if this is your house.”
A cellphone video has surfaced showing a police officer handcuffing a woman in her home while she’s wearing only a towel — which repeatedly fell off — and she and her teen daughter are screaming for him to stop.

But that may not be the worst of it.

An internal investigation by police in Chandler, Arizona, found that arresting Officer Doug Rose entered Esmeralda Rossi’s home illegally on March 25, didn’t turn on his body camera and failed to document important details regarding probable cause and use of force — and that Rossi was naked except for a towel.

IMMIGRATION TO SWELL U.S. MUSLIM POPULATION TO 6.2 MILLION

The Associated Press and NBC are now reporting that Tennessee gunman Muhammed Youssef Abdulazees was an immigrant from the Muslim nation of Kuwait.

According to U.S. Census Data, the United States admits roughly 100,000 Muslim immigrants legally each year, representing the fastest growing block of immigration into the United States. Tennessee, in fact, is home to one of the fastest growing immigrant populations in the country, causing the President to give a recent speech there in favor of expansive immigration. The Mayor of Nashville has launched a New American Advisory Council to help facilitate the legally-sanctioned transition from the previous inhabitants of Nashville to the new ones.

Both of Tennessee’s Senators,
Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and  Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), helped pass the Senate’s Gang of Eight bill which would have tripled the number of green cards issued over the next ten years.

Man Mistakenly Raised A Pair of Bear Cubs for Two Years

Think of the biggest prank you've ever pulled, and then multiply that 1,000 times, and you might have an understanding of the shock that a man from China's Yunnan Province experienced recently.

It all started a couple of years ago when Wang Kaiyu purchased what he thought were two puppies from a Vietnamese vendor. At the time, Kaiyu believed the pups would make good guards for his property.

As the "puppies" grew, Kaiyu became concerned by their odd behavior and strong appetites for prey (that included his pet chickens).

After seeing a wildlife protection announcement from the local forest service, Kaiyu realized his pets weren't canine at all—they were actually Asian black bears, a category-2 endangered species.

Court Ends Probe of Scott Walker's Recall Campaign

Presidential candidate Scott Walker won a major legal victory Thursday when the Wisconsin Supreme Court ended a secret investigation into whether the Republican's gubernatorial campaign illegally coordinated with conservative groups during the 2012 recall election.

No one has been charged in the so-called John Doe probe, Wisconsin's version of a grand jury investigation in which information is tightly controlled. But questions about the investigation have dogged Walker for months.

"Today's ruling confirmed no laws were broken, a ruling that was previously stated by both a state and federal judge," Walker spokeswoman AshLee Strong said. "It is time to move past this unwarranted investigation that has cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars."

The case centers on political activity conducted by the Wisconsin Club for Growth and other conservative organizations during the recall, which was spurred by Democrats' anger over Walker's law that effectively ended collective bargaining for most public workers.

In the majority opinion, Justice Michael Gableman, part of the court's conservative majority, praised conservative groups for challenging the investigation, saying it was fortunate that prosecutors targeted "innocent citizens who had both the will and the means to fight the unlimited resources of an unjust prosecution."

'Hogan Strong' cancer awareness merchandise grows in Maryland

The slogan “Hogan Strong” is spreading beyond a social media hashtag.

Route One Apparel, a small business founded by a University of Maryland College Park junior four years ago, has created a Hogan Strong T-shirt, designed with the motto and a cancer awareness ribbon — in a Maryland flag pattern, of course. For each $25 shirt sold, $5 will go to lymphoma and leukemia research, according to the business.

Less than a month ago, Republican Gov. Larry Hogan announced he has non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is undergoing aggressive medical treatment. The cancer develops in a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight infections.

Mayor Calls Barack Obama 'Monkey Man,' & Michelle Obama 'Gorilla Face,' But Says He's Not Racist

The mayor of a small city in Washington reportedly admitted that he called President Barack Obama "monkey man" and first lady Michelle Obama "gorilla face," but says he will not resign over the racist comments.

"Gorilla face Michelle, can't disagree with that," Patrick Rushing, mayor of Airway Heights, reportedly wrote in a Facebook post. "The woman is not attractive except to monkey man Barack. Check out them ears. LOL."

The comments led the city council to call for his resignation on Monday.

“When a figurehead makes comments such as these that sets us back and it's hard to come back from,” police chief and acting city manager Lee Bennett told KXLY, the local ABC station.

However, Rushing insists he will not step down from his role as mayor of the city, which is just outside of Spokane and has a population of nearly 6,500, according to Census data.

“I made a mistake. I owned up to my mistake,” Rushing told the Spokesman-Review. “If I do resign that’s admitting I’m a racist and I’m not.”

Cirata was found deceased in his cell shortly before 8:00 a.m. yesterday at the North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland, Md. According to Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services officials, Cirata was serving a 25-year sentence for sex offenses and had been in prison since 2011.

The investigation is continuing.

Wall Street is betting on Bush and Clinton

Wall Street opened its wallet for Republican presidential contender Jeb Bush and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in their first weeks as candidates, despite the sometimes tough talk on the campaign trail about closing the nation’s wealth gap.

Bush collected nearly $145,000 from employees at Goldman Sachs and almost $167,000 coming from seven other big banks. Another $63,100 in contributions came from employees of the financial firm Neuberger Berman, run by his cousin, George Herbert Walker IV, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs, according to campaign financial-disclosure reports released Wednesday.

During his six years as an adviser for the defunct Wall Street bank Lehman Bros. and later at Barclays PLC, Bush said he earned, on average, between $1.3 million and $2 million a year. Employees of Barclays have donated $29,700, so far.

Ocean City council weighs building permit hikes

Despite the recent rebound in construction work in Ocean City — particularly with several new, large chain hotels — resort government is still suffering from a cash flow problem in its building permit system.

The City Council held a lengthy discussion Tuesday on whether to raise fees for electrical and mechanical repair permits, one part of a much larger picture of how the city runs its building inspection operations.

Elected officials were at a fairly sharp crossroads: either raise application fees to cover costs or start eliminating certain regulatory schemes that were money-losing propositions.

“Would it be smarter for us to not require a permit?” Councilman Wayne Hartman asked, referring to certain minor jobs. “If it’s already costing us money [to run the permit system], you’re not going to be making it back with more volume, you’re only going to be losing more money.”

Bill Clinton Concedes His Crime Law Jailed Too Many for Too Long

WASHINGTON — Former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday disavowed part of the anti-crime legislation that he long considered one of his top accomplishments, concluding that it went too far in sending even minor criminals to prison “for way too long.”

Addressing a convention of the N.A.A.C.P. a day after President Obama called for a wholesale overhaul of the criminal justice system, Mr. Clinton embraced the idea. He agreed that the law he enacted in 1994 played a significant part in warping sentencing standards and leading to an era of mass incarceration.

“I signed a bill that made the problem worse,” Mr. Clinton said. “And I want to admit it.”

The expression of regret was the latest effort by Mr. Clinton to reframe his record nearly 15 years after he left office and clear the way for his wife’s own campaign for the White House. Mr. Clinton has previously renounced the Defense of Marriage Act that he signed, defining marriage as the union of a man and woman, and the don’t-ask, don’t-tell policy that barred gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

COVE ROAD BEACH ADVISORY LIFTED

(Salisbury, MD) – The advisory for Cove Road Beach has been lifted. The Wicomico County Health Department sampled the beach on Thursday, July 16th. Results received today indicate that the bacteria levels have decreased and are within the limits established by the Maryland Department of the Environment.

Beachgoers are reminded to avoid swimming and other water contact activities after heavy rain events. Exposure to bacteria, viruses, and parasites in contaminated water can cause symptoms and diseases ranging from ear, nose, and eye infections to diarrhea, vomiting, hepatitis, encephalitis, skin rashes, and respiratory illnesses. You can reduce your risk of getting sick by following these tips:

· Pay attention to contamination and advisory warnings and stay out of polluted water.

· Stay out of murky or foul-smelling water.

Corker-Obama Iran Foreign Policy Agreement Stands Constitution on Its Head

Well, now we know. We won. Unconditionally. According to President Obama, "This deal meets every single one of the bottom lines that we established when we achieved a framework earlier this spring. Every pathway to a nuclear weapon is cut off." Surely, the Iranian JV team of negotiators must be shamefully slinking back into Tehran; tails tucked between their legs.

But William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, and certainly no right-wing nut job, stated it this way. "We have a deal. It's a deal worse than even we imagined possible. It's a deal that gives the Iranian regime $140 BILLION in return for ... effectively nothing: no dismantlement of Iran's nuclear program, no anytime/anywhere inspections, no curbs on Iran's ballistic missile program, no maintenance of the arms embargo, no halt to Iran's sponsorship of terror. Congress should engage in a full and comprehensive debate. Congress should then pass a resolution of disapproval."

Mr. Kristol's advice is well and good. At least it was. Of course, a president may legitimately make non-binding agreements as permitted under his power to conduct foreign affairs. But to obligate the United States of America to any such agreement, a president must either persuade the Senate to ratify it as a treaty, Article II, Section 2, or persuade the full Congress to pass a law accepting his agreement by ordinary legislation — a bill passed by a majority of both houses and signed into law by the president. So Mr. Obama's claimed victories, do not become binding unless approved by two-thirds of the Senate or two-thirds of the entire Congress.

Final victory for Bible publisher over Obama admin. abortion-pill mandate

WASHINGTON – A Bible publisher that challenged the Obama administration’s abortion-pill mandate in court has achieved final victory in its lawsuit. A federal district court issued a permanent injunction Wednesday in favor of Tyndale House Publishers and its owners, who are represented by Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys. The injunction means the government cannot enforce the mandate against Tyndale House.

The mandate forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy financial penalties through the Internal Revenue Service.

“Americans should be free to live and work according to their faith without fear of punishment by the government. That includes Bible publishers, who should be free to do business according to the book that they publish,” said ADF Senior Legal Counsel Matt Bowman. “In America, citizens have always had the freedom to believe, the freedom to express those beliefs, and the freedom to operate their businesses accordingly. The Supreme Court upheld that principle in its Conestoga/Hobby Lobbydecision last year, and the district court has rightly done the same.”

Illinois Is Not Alone: States Facing $1 Trillion Pension Shortfall

Illinois is the undisputed poster child for having the worst public pension system in the country.

With roughly 40 percent of the state’s $165 billion pension liability unfunded and the courts refusing to allow an overhaul of its highly flawed system, tens of thousands of public employees are left uncertain about their retirements. The state’s credit ratings has dropped to junk status.

A new report by the Pew Charitable Trust is a painful reminder that despite the economic recovery and improved revenue picture, many other states continue to gamble by operating with huge gaps between their employee pension obligations and revenues funneled into the retirement programs.

Indeed, the gap between what states have pledged to retirees and how much they are actually saving to fund those payments now totals $968 billion as of 2013, a $54 billion increase over the previous year, according to the report.

The picture looks even bleaker when short-falls from local employee pension programs are factored in. Then the overall employee pension gap widens to more than $1 trillion, according to Pew.

The Lidar Lie

After Baltimore City's disastrous speed camera program was forced to admit that their supposedly perfectly calibrated equipment had produced erroneous speed camera tickets due to what speed camera contractor Xerox referred to as "radar effects", speed camera using agencies desperately needed to find a new narrative to replace the platitude "if you won't speed you won't get a ticket".

One of the claims now made is that even though there were problems with speed cameras in Baltimore, that other speed cameras which measure speed with LIDAR cannot be wrong. The implication that the device uses laayyyzeerrrs, which sound spacey and high tech, is supposed to lead one to believe the device cannot be wrong.

Of course, this is not true. It has been known for years that even devices which are properly calibrated, which theoretically include "error correcting" software, can still be wrong. One mechanism of error is the sweep effect, something which has been known to exist and documented for years.

‘Apocalypse’: Big retail shuttering at record pace

Closings just tip of economic woes

The White House may continue to insist the economy is on an upward path with full recovery very near, but retail tells a different story, with so many big box outlets shuttering or poised to shutter, business watchers are predicting an “apocalypse” is imminent.

And as retail goes, so go the jobs.

The blog Natural News reported popular outlets like Abercrombie & Fitch, Barnes & Noble, Chico’s, Children’s Place, Coach, Fresh & Easy, Gymboree, JCPenney, Macy’s, Office Depot, Pier One and Pep Boys are just a handful of corporations that have announced permanent closings of some stores.

Business groups see 2015 as a crucial year to watch.

“Many others are names as soon-to-be casualties in what some news sources are now referring to as the coming ‘retail apocalpyse,’” Natural News said. “The Economic Collapse Blog pins 2015 as a significant ‘turning point’ for the U.S. economy, ominously warning that at least 6,000 retail store locations are expected to close this year based on company announcements. Many American consumers are already witnessing the birth pangs of this retail apocalypse as brick-and-mortar department, specialty, and even food shops close their doors for good.”

Ford Offering $10,000 Discount on New Aluminum F-150 Pickup

Ford Motor Co. has begun offering discounts that can exceed $10,000 on its new aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup, which has been losing sales and market share this year as the automaker works to build inventory on dealer lots.

The company’s website offers “up to $10,029 in total savings” on a 2015 F-150 XLT SuperCab 4X4 with the luxury chrome or sport package in some U.S. regions. That model comes with a discount of $7,050 in other areas, according to Ford.com.

U.S. sales slid 8.9 percent last month for Ford’s F-Series pickups, its top-selling line and most profitable vehicles. The truck’s share of the big-pickup market fell to 28 percent in June from 33 percent a year earlier, according to researcher Autodata Corp. Ford blamed tight inventory caused by the conversion of two plants to build the trucks, the first mass- market vehicles to use lightweight aluminum so extensively.

“The truck hasn’t sold up to expectations for the most part,” Akshay Anand, an analyst at auto researcher Kelley Blue Book, said in an e-mail. “This may be a hint that in certain parts of the country, the issue might just be more than supply.”

I spent 2 years cleaning houses. What I saw makes me never want to be rich.

Let me tell you something you already know: Your housekeeper spies on you.

We work alone. We get bored. What do you expect?

I worked for a company cleaning houses for two years. It was flexible. It paid well enough. I didn't think of it as a career, or identify with it; it was just what I did to get myself through college as a single mom.

At first I didn't snoop. When they set me off on my own with a white binder containing directions for each house, I just dropped my daughter off at day care and went.

I checked how many pills they'd taken and learned which prescriptions had turned into recreations

I found the houses on little winding roads, the hidden keys tucked under gnomes or rugs. I parked my car where it wouldn't drip oil on their driveway, lugged my tray of supplies inside, and called to clock in, standing by picture windows overlooking the ocean, looking at the perfectly manicured lawn, the chairs around the deck, the path down to the dock, and the boat that glittered even in the rain. I cleaned, and I moved on. I had 20 clients and two or three houses a day to get to, anyway.

But after a few months, my boss told me to clean slower. (We didn't call it that, of course. We called it "more detailed.") The company had a high turnover rate, she explained, and we billed by the hour. If I cleaned houses quicker than the girl who'd replace me, clients would want to continue paying the lower rate.

County, Federal Court Opinions Sought On Tax Referendum

OCEAN CITY — In what appears to be a case of the cart before the horse, organizers of a petition drive to return the property tax rate in Ocean City to 2009 levels filed a complaint in U.S. District Court earlier this month seeking a federal review of the validity of the petition.

In May, a group of concerned property owners in the resort operating — Ocean City Taxpayers for Social Justice — submitted a petition to lower Ocean City’s tax rate to the 2009 level of 38 cents per $100 of assessed value. On the same day, the Mayor and Council approved the fiscal year 2016 budget.

In simplest terms, the Ocean City Tax Payers for Social Justice group if seeking a return to the 2009 property tax rate of 38 cents, asserting the increase in the rate over the years has forced many to leave Ocean City to neighboring jurisdictions and has stifled the growth of small business.

Meanwhile, the Mayor and Council have contended the increase in the property tax rate in recent years to the fiscal year 2016 rate of 47.8 cents is consistent with the constant yield, or the rate needed to generate the same amount of revenue required to continue to provide the same level of municipal services residents and visitors have come to expect.

You Just Got Out of Prison. Now What?

Carlos and Roby are two ex-convicts with a simple mission: picking up inmates on the day they’re released from prison and guiding them through a changed world.

Two men were sitting in a parked car, waiting to pick someone up. Carlos Cervantes was in the driver’s seat. He was 30, with glassy green eyes — quiet by nature, but with a loaded, restrained intensity about him. He had picked up Roby So at home in Los Angeles around 3 o’clock that morning, and they’d made it here, to this empty parking lot in front of the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, on the outskirts of San Diego, just after 6. Now, the sun was rising over the bare, brown mountains in the windshield. A hummingbird zipped around an air-conditioning unit outside. Already, they’d been waiting close to an hour.

Roby was three years older than Carlos but carried himself like a large and joyful child. He was hungry. He wanted biscuits and gravy and was still laughing about how, earlier, he caught himself telling Carlos that, unfortunately, he’d have to wait until tomorrow for biscuits and gravy, because today was Monday, and Monday was pancakes day. Part of his brain still tracked his old prison breakfast menu. ‘‘Why do I still know these things, man?’’ Roby said. ‘‘It’s been four years. I was supposed to. … ’’ His voice trailed off, so Carlos finished his sentence: ‘‘Delete.’’

Roby started reciting the weekly prison menu, to see if he could still do it. When he got to Thursday — peanut butter and jelly, four slices of bread, Kool-Aid — Carlos, without turning to look at him, chimed in with ‘‘sugar-free gum.’’

Why Knowing Your Rights is Not Enough, Why You Should Avoid Police Altogether

In the police accountability movement, we try to stay informed about the law, and about our rights during police encounters. Most of us know that we should try to film the encounter if necessary, and try to ask important legal questions such as “am I being detained” or “am I free to go.”

In a perfect world, knowledge of the law and exercising of one’s rights in this way should be enough to help them escape a police encounter. However, police often have no respect for the law and have no respect the rights of the individuals that they are stopping to harass.

Police will lie, cheat, steal and treat you like even more of a criminal for asserting your rights and questioning them legally.

Asserting your rights is definitely the best way to handle a police encounter. However, it still works – on very few occasions. It’s will be especially difficult if you have been profiled because of your age, race, appearance, or the time of day that you are driving.

The best bet is to attempt to avoid police encounters altogether, knowing that even if you assert your rights you still have a high chance of being assaulted, extorted or kidnapped. Travel on back roads, avoid traveling at night, and if a police car comes anywhere into view, change your direction and take a short detour to avoid the potential encounter. Using the phone app “Waze” is another important strategy to finding out where police are and avoiding them.

New York City Mayor Proposes Banning Cigarette Smoking — In Your Own Home

New York City, N.Y. – The government’s war on the individual’s rights is now being expanded to include smoking in your own home if New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio has his way.

Mayor de Blasio’s plan includes attempting to coerce developers and landlords to ban smoking inside of apartment buildings as part of his administration’s agenda to reduce smoking in New York City.

The claimed impetus is so that neighboring tenants don’t have to inhale secondhand smoke.

But it also means that smokers would be prohibited from smoking in one of very few places a person can currently smoke in NYC; their own residence.

5 Things to know about the House-Senate No Child rewrites

WASHINGTON (AP) — No one thinks it’ll be easy, but the House and Senate are embarking on negotiations to merge two differing education bills that would rewrite the nation’s much-criticized No Child Left Behind education law.

On Thursday, the Senate overwhelmingly approved its version of the education legislation, a week after the House passed a more conservative measure.

For years, Congress has tried to update the law. It expired in 2007, though its mandates remained in place. Critics have complained there is too much testing and the law is too punitive for schools deemed to be failing. The Obama administration began issuing waivers to dozens of states to get around some of the law’s strictest requirements when it became clear they would not be met.

Here are five things to know about congressional efforts to replace No Child Left Behind:

Seven Rehabilitated Turtles Released On Assateague

ASSATEAGUE — A total of seven rehabilitated sea turtles were released from the beach at the Assateague State Park on Thursday morning, continuing a recent spike in releases by National Aquarium staffers in and around the resort area.

The National Aquarium released seven sea turtles from the Assateague State Park beach on Thursday, each of which had been rehabilitated from various injuries and ailments in recent months at the facility in Baltimore. One of the turtles released from Assateague on Thursday stranded in Virginia Beach in June after being accidentally hooked by a recreational fisherman. The sea turtle was admitted to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center for surgery before being transferred to the National Aquarium for rehabilitation.

The six other sea turtles released from Assateague on Thursday came to the National Aquarium throughout last winter suffering from a fairly common phenomenon known as cold stunning, essentially the equivalent of human hypothermia. Throughout the winter, hundreds of cold-stunned sea turtles were discovered on the beaches up and down the mid-Atlantic region and many found their way to rehabilitation centers like the National Aquarium.

Fight At Civic Center, WBOC Update

Yesterday morning we published a video:

Fight At The Civic Center (Graphic Violence & Language Warning)

Well, as usual, WBOC decided to follow our lead with this story. HOWEVER, on the 6:00 PM broadcast they actually went after the person shooting the video and basically attacked them for not stopping the recording and calling 911 instead.

In their later broadcasts they decided to drop their harsh attack against the cameraman and finally stuck to the actual story of two grown men from New Jersey beating the crap out of each other.

You know, I've seen the WBOC whores racing to the homes of Families who's spouse, child or siblings had just been murdered or died somehow. Shame on them for attacking Joe Public for recording illegal activity. Could it be that WBOC was simply upset because they weren't there or that they didn't get the video first? My guess is, the person who shot it probably told WBOC they had it and someone there said they weren't interested in it, UNTIL IT WENT "VIRAL"

Shame on Joe Public for interfering with WBOC's profession and it seems that IF you actually do take video of any wrong doings WBOC will blast and attack you on television in the hopes of scaring just about anyone from taking any video of what goes WRONG on the Eastern Shore. Gee, did the Tilghman's buy the station recently?

I rarely touch on the subject of political correctness as a focus in my writings, partially because the entire issue is so awash in pundits on either side that the scrambling clatter of voices tends to drown out the liberty movement perspective. Also, I don’t really see PC cultism as separate from the problems I am always battling against: collectivism and the erasure of the individual in the name of pleasing society. Political correctness is nothing more than a tool that collectivists and statists exploit in order to better achieve their endgame, which is conning the masses into believing that the group mind is real and that the individual mind is fiction.

Last year, I covered the PC issue in my article “The Twisted Motives Behind Political Correctness.” I believe I analyzed the bulk of the issue extensively. However, the times are changing at a pace that boggles the mind; and this is by design. So, it may be necessary to square off against this monstrosity once again.

In order to better examine the true insanity of what many people now term “social justice warriors,” I must study a few aspects of that strange movement separately. First, let’s take a brief look at the mindset of your average social justice circus clown so that we might better understand what makes him/her/it tick.

Mainstream Media Refuses To Give Planned Parenthood Scandal Legs. The Question Is: Why?

Whenever abortion pops into the picture, emotions run high.

But where do mainstream newspapers get off simply not reporting the news?

This is what happened Tuesday when a video of a Planned Parenthood exec discussing the sale of aborted fetus parts over lunch went viral. Who eats salad while discussing fetal livers?

As the story unfolded, the only sites covering it were the ones who were most disgusted by it — Glenn Beck‘s TheBlaze, National Review, Breitbart News, TownHall, The Federalist, RedState and my own employer, The Daily Caller.

Lefty sites like Salon, Slate, BuzzFeed, and Gawker followed up late Tuesday and Wednesday to discredit the entire story. It’s not what it seemed. No laws were broken, they reported. “No,” declared Gawker like a stern schoolmarm. “Planned Parenthood is not selling aborted fetal body parts.” On Wednesday night, Media Matters, which operates like an arm of the Democratic Party, had a cluster of stories on its homepage — all debunking the video.

Salon rolled out their anti-choice piece on Wednesday at lunchtime (yum).

Politico left out all opinion and played it straight. The story had a pure news hook — “Republican lawmakers call for investigations into Planned Parenthood.”

The Hill wrote a headline that drew the ire of conservative media. “Seize” being the key word that made them bristle.

Uh Oh: Americans Not Warming to Her Majesty, New Poll Finds

It's far too early for Democrats to hit the panic button, but voters' attitudes toward their would-be First! Woman! President! are decidedly cool -- and have headed in the wrong direction ever since she announced (and re-announced) her campaign. The Associated Press' latest national poll is jammed with worrisome signs for The Queen. She's not going to be happy about these numbers, especially in the wake of her excruciating "listening tour" personality makeover/reboot. And you wouldn't like her when she's angry -- or in general, it would appear:

Suspect Claims To Be Trooper After Hit-And-Run Spree

OCEAN CITY — A Cordova, Md. man was arrested on multiple charges Wednesday after leaving the scene after hitting two vehicles, one of which was occupied, and a fence before representing himself as a Maryland State Police trooper to Ocean City police.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Ocean City police responded to Big Peckers on 73rd Street for a reported property damage vehicle collision. The alleged at-fault striking vehicle was a red Chevrolet Avalanche, which had been the subject of a broadcast from Ocean City Police Communications about 10 minutes earlier. In that broadcast, the operator of the Chevy Avalanche, later identified as William Malinowski, 44, of Cordova, Md., had been denied entry to Seacrets and was observed driving away at a high rate of speed.

In the meantime, another call had come in reporting a red Chevy Avalanche with a driver matching Malinowski’s description was observed speeding on 57th Street. OCPD officers met with several witnesses at the Big Peckers parking lot. One witness told police he had been informed Malinowski’s truck had struck his unoccupied Jeep Wrangler in the parking lot and that Malinowski attempted to flee the scene before police arrived.
