DETROIT – Calling the scheme "horrific," a judge sentenced a Detroit-area cancer doctor to 45 years in prison Friday for collecting millions from insurance companies while poisoning more than 500 patients through needless treatments that wrecked their health.
U.S. District Judge Paul Borman this week heard stories of brittle bones and fried organs as patients chillingly described the effects of excessive chemotherapy at the hands of Dr. Farid Fata.
Fata "shut down whatever compassion he had as a doctor and switched it to making money," Borman said.

Boyfriend of woman charged with abandoning baby faces new assault charge
WASHINGTON — The boyfriend of Sandra McClary — the mother charged with neglect and reckless endangerment for leaving her daughter in a car seat on an Anne Arundel County road — has been charged with assaulting McClary.
Charging documents filed in District Court say 26-year-old Cordell Lee Hall, of Baltimore, grabbed McClary’s wrist several times, and forcefully pushed her in the chest and head, on July 4th.
Hall was charged with second-degree assault Sunday.
In court earlier this week, McClary’s mother, Belinda Deberry testified Hall hit her repeatedly in the car. Deberry said McClary was the victim of domestic abuse, and drove away in fear for her life.
McClary’s bond was set at $500,000.

What is happening to the Bin Laden Killers, SEAL Team Six?
We’ve recently decided to take a closer look into “SEAL Team Six,” the group of Navy SEALS who are reported to have taken out Osama Bin Laden in 2011. More to the point, we wanted to look into what has been happening to them.
The story is elaborate, so let’s start from the beginning:
According to a report by ABC News, Bin Laden first escaped death in August of 1998. In December of 2001 Bin Laden was reported to have been killed at his mountain hideout in the Tora Bora region of Afghanistan, however these reports ended up being false.

Young Marylander's ray killing petition reaches 90,000+ signatures
A 16-year old Marylander hopes Gov. Larry Hogan will stop the killing of cownose rays, collecting 94,000 petition signatures to back her up.
Charli Holland, 16, of New Market said she was horrified after she learned about cownose ray tournaments on the Chesapeake Bay. These tournaments are sometimes held in Anne Arundel County, where fishermen get on boats, shoot the rays with arrows, hit them with a bat to stun them and then put them in a bucket to be weighed later.
Some of the rays are kept for food, while others, dead after suffocating outside the water, are dumped back into the Chesapeake Bay. Pregnant rays are not spared, and sometimes are prime hunting targets as the unborn babies can add to a ray's weight and help the fishermen win the competition.

Former Maryland Licensed Counselor Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison for Conspiring to Sexually Exploit an Infant
WASHINGTON—U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz of the District of Maryland sentenced Stephen H. Schaffner, 35, of Greensboro, Maryland, today to 35 years in prison, followed by supervised release for life, for a conspiracy to sexually exploit a child and for sexual exploitation of a six week old baby who was born prematurely, in order to produce images documenting the abuse. Judge Motz also ordered that upon his release from prison Schaffner must register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).
The sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein of the District of Maryland, U.S. Attorney Laura E. Duffy of the Southern District of California, Special Agent in Charge Stephen E. Vogt of the Baltimore Division of the FBI, Special Agent in Charge Eric Birnbaum of the FBI’s San Diego Division, Superintendent Colonel William M. Pallozzi of the Maryland State Police, Chief Jeff A. Jackson of the Greensboro Police Department and Chief David A. Spencer of the Easton, Maryland, Police Department.
“The defendant was caught because in 2014, police were still able to obtain a warrant and find images on a cell phone,” said U.S. Attorney Rosenstein. “Companies now market encrypted devices that are immune from search warrants and allow pedophiles to molest children and trade photographs with little risk of detection, even when a federal judge finds that there is probable cause and issues a court order. Law enforcement officials have a responsibility to alert law-abiding citizens about the consequences of ‘Going Dark,’ so they will not be surprised when police cannot obtain evidence of serious crimes.”

America's Presidential Imposter-Section 4
Previously, I wrote how Barack Obama used fraudulent and/or ineligible documents to deliberately deceive America into believing he was eligible to seek the Office of President of the United States. I also wrote how he sacrificed former Army Lt.Colonel Terrence Lakin who had asked him to simply produce avalid birth certificate confirming his Presidential eligibility and, thereby, his right to act as the Commander-in Chief of our Military forces. Obama never even acknowledged Col.Lakin's letters. Eighteen years of faithful service to our Country-completely ignored! Since over one half of our Nation now believed Obama was not a "natural-born" American citizen, and, therefore, not eligible to seek the Presidency, only avalid"Certificate of Live Birth" would have satisfied doubters and calmed our Nation. Unfortunately, for Obama, to submit his fraudulent and ineligible documents to public and professional scrutiny would have ended his Presidential career and subjected him to criminal actions. He had to prevent this at all costs....and did! Now, I would like to mention how some court officers, sworn to determine truth and dispense justice, became complicit (whether deliberately, ignorantly or otherwise) in Obama's deception.
Georgia's Deputy Chief Michael Malihi issued a subpoena ordering Obama to appear in Court with a validbirth certificate or suffer contempt of Court. Obama chose option two and showed his contempt for the Court by having his attorney inform the Judge, in writing, that neither Obama nor his attorney would even appear in Court ...and they didn't! The judge then warned that he would hear testimony solely from the plaintiff, yet, that testimony was dismissed and additional testimony of Paul Irey, one with 30 years Adobe computer document knowledge who openly declared Obama's Birth Certificate was fraudulent, was ignored and the judge simply closed the case. As for the subpoena,he ignored it and took no action against Obama, who had completely ignored it. What a disgrace! Who said "crime doesn't pay"? A toothless subpoena made a mockery of justice.

University of Maryland gets permission to serve alcohol at sporting events
COLLEGE PARK, Md. —The Prince George's County Board of License Commissioners has approved the sale of alcohol during University of Maryland College Park sporting events, school officials confirmed.
The approval will allow the university to sell beer and wine at Byrd Stadium and Xfinity Center starting this fall. But, this is only a one-year trial period.
Supporters say the plan will help stop binge drinking before games. Also, the university claims that it could generate about $500,000 annually to help fund student services such as mental health counseling, sexual assault prevention and responsible drinking programs.

Officials warn of flesh-eating form of heroin
MANCHESTER, N.H. —First responders in Manchester said they may have detected the first sign of a form of heroin that eats away the flesh of users.
Paramedics with American Medical Response said June was the worst month for heroin overdoses this year, with 67 calls and 10 fatalities.
Although such calls have become routine, shift supervisor Chris Hickey said a call last week was unlike anything he has seen.
"With someone who is literally rotting away in front of you," he said. "It turns the stomach of even the most seasoned provider."

Remains of 36 Marines, including Medal of Honor recipient, killed 70 years ago in WWII battle recovered on remote Pacific island
These long-missing heroes are headed home.
A group has uncovered the bodies of 36 U.S. Marines, including a Medal of Honor recipient, who were killed during a fierce fight more than 70 years ago in the remote Gilbert Islands.
First Lt. Alexander Bonnyman Jr. was among the men found in May in Cemetery 27 on the tiny Pacific Ocean atoll of Betio in Kiribati, according to Mark Noah, the director of History Flight, an organization which helps recover military members deemed missing in action.
Noah notes that more than 1,000 Americans died fighting Japanese forces in Kiribati, in the 1943 Battle of Tarawa.
The missing Marines were declared “unrecoverable” in 1949 by the Quartermaster General’s Office, according to the group. But a 10-year, multi-million dollar effort by History Flight culminated in the historic, and emotional, find in May.

Tea party with Anna and Elsa of Disney’s ‘Frozen,’ Saturday
Following the massive success of December’s “dive-in” movie screening of Disney’s “Frozen,” Ocean Pines Aquatics is offering a tea party with two of the film’s stars at the Sports Core Pool on Saturday, July 11 from 3:30-5 p.m.
Philadelphia-based performers Marissa Regan and Kristina Regan-O’Connor, who appeared in December, will reprise their respective roles as sisters Anna and Elsa during the event.
Aquatics Director Colby Phillips said more than 200 people attended the previous Frozen bash in Ocean Pines. As of last Thursday, 75 of the 120 available slots were filled for the July 11 event, which will feature movie-themed cupcakes, a meet-and-greet with the characters and an apple juice “tea.”
“We’re going to close the pool at 1 p.m. to prep, and 3:30 is the start time,” Phillips said. “The kids will come in and they’ll get their spot at their table and we have crafts that they’re going to do first, and then Anna and Elsa will come at 4 o’clock.”

Maine Becomes Sixth Constitutional Carry State
Another victory for gun owners
The state of Maine became the sixth in the country to allow citizens to carry firearms without the need to obtain a permit on Wednesday.
Gov. Paul Lepage (R.) signed Legislative Document 652 into law Wednesday, creating the state’s new permitless concealed carry framework. The permitless carry, commonly referred to as constitutional carry by gun rights activists, allows anyone over the age of 21 to carry a firearm so long as they legally own the firearm. Felons and other criminals are still prohibited from carrying a firearm.
The National Rifle Association (NRA) celebrated the move as “another victory for gun owners.”
“Maine now joins an ever-growing number of states in passing permitless carry,” executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action Chris Cox said in a press release. “Despite the best efforts of Michael Bloomberg-funded groups to distort the truth, the Maine legislature and governor stood strong for freedom. It’s encouraging to see a governor stand up for the rights of their constituents, instead of caving to the demands of an anti-gun billionaire from New York City.”
“On behalf of the NRA’s five million members, we would like to thank Gov. LePage, Senator Eric Brakey, and the House and Senate leadership for their work in pushing this legislation through.”

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The firing of Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts came as a surprise to Maryland’s governor.

Salp Blooms In Ocean Likely A Combination Of Natural Factors
ASSATEAGUE — The invasion of thumbnail-sized, clear little jellies that raided the beaches at Assateague and in Ocean City to some degree last weekend continued this week, but the creatures are harmless and pose no danger to swimmers in the resort area.
Last week, thousands of tiny blobs of clear gelatinous creatures appeared in the ocean and on the beaches in Assateague and Ocean City, creating quite a stir for the countless visitors to the resort area on the busy holiday weekend. The ocean was thick with them and they washed up on the beaches in great numbers, but while the scope of the outbreak was somewhat rare, it is actually a natural phenomenon that should be enjoyed and not feared.
The creatures are called salps, and they belong to a small category of gelatinous invertebrates generally lumped into a large group called jellyfish.

Seoul: North Korean leader has so far executed 70 officials
SEOUL, South Korea — Young North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has executed 70 officials since taking power in late 2011 in a "reign of terror" that far exceeds the bloodshed of his dictator father's early rule, South Korean officials said Thursday.
South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se, at a forum in Seoul, compared Kim Jong Un's 70 executions with those of his late father, Kim Jong Il, who he said executed about 10 officials during his first years in power.
An official from South Korea's National Intelligence Service, who refused to be named, citing office rules, confirmed that the spy agency believes the younger Kim has executed about 70 officials but wouldn't reveal how it obtained the information.

Greece -- Corruption & Lawlessness Are the Root of the Problem
America, Like Greece, May End with a Lawless Whimper
Barbarians at the gate usually don’t bring down once-successful civilizations. Nor does climate change. Even mass epidemics such as the plague that decimated sixth-century Byzantium do not necessarily destroy a culture. Far more dangerous are institutionalized corruption, a lack of transparency, and creeping neglect of existing laws. All the German euros in the world will not save Greece if Greeks continue to dodge taxes, featherbed government, and see corruption as a business model.
Even obeying so-called minor laws counts. It is no coincidence that a country where drivers routinely flout traffic laws and throw trash out the window is also a country that cooks its books and lies to its creditors. Everything from littering to speeding seems negotiable in Athens in a way not true of Munich, Zurich, or London. Mexico is a much naturally richer country than Greece. It is blessed with oil, precious minerals, fertile soils, long coastlines, and warm weather. Hundreds of thousands of Mexican citizens should not be voting with their feet to reject their homeland for the U.S.

Rita’s Italian Ice Locations Stop Serving Frozen Custard Amid Egg Shortage

And now, consumers are feeling the repercussions of a national egg shortage in the category of icy treats: Rita’s Italian Ice notified customers that it won’t be serving frozen custard, and will instead be replacing that menu item as it runs out with soft-serve ice cream.

Why do women outlive men? Science zeroes in on answer
Women tend to live longer than men. But it wasn't always that way, a new study says.
Adults born in the late 19th century were the first to see men dying at much higher rates than women. So the gender difference in life expectancy is fairly recent, and probably isn't based on anatomy alone, researchers say.
In medical and public health circles, women's long lives relative to men's have often been considered "a given," said Hiram Beltran-Sanchez, a demographer at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and the lead author of the study published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He decided to look back at population data to see whether that had always been true.

The Encouraging Message Behind These Semicolon Tattoos
Since the days of traditional sailor and prison tattoos, tattooing has truly become an art — and many people search for a specific print that holds a special meaning to them. Now, a new trend has emerged: Instead of butterflies or Chinese symbols, more and more people have been getting a semicolon tattoo.
Observers of the new semicolon tattoo trend may initially wonder: Is the tattooed person a grammar Nazi? Does the person even know what that symbol stands for? Is it a sign for a secret brotherhood that is fighting to reclaim the proper usage of the semicolon as a separator of sentence elements?
The latter might be onto something — except the semicolon tattoo is far more than just a statement about punctuation. It’s about mental health and destroying the negative stigma attached to it. If you’ve seen a person with a tiny semicolon on their wrist or arm, you’re facing someone who has overcome serious mental health issues — from depression and anxiety, to schizophrenia — and has chosen not to end their lives, but rather to move forward anew.

Dems Declare War On Words 'Husband,' 'Wife'
More than two dozen Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the words "husband" and "wife" from federal law.
Those "gendered terms" would be replaced by "gender-neutral" words like "spouse" or "married couple," according to the bill from Rep. Lois Capps, D-Calif.
"The Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act recognizes that the words in our laws have meaning and can continue to reflect prejudice and discrimination even when rendered null by our highest courts," Capps said. "Our values as a country are reflected in our laws. I authored this bill because it is imperative that our federal code reflect the equality of all marriages."
The Supreme Court ruled in June that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution means all states have to license same-sex marriages, a ruling that effectively ended the same-sex marriage debate in America. Capps said her bill was aimed at taking the next step, which is to ensure the United States Code "reflects the equality of all marriages."
She said her bill would also have other benefits if it became law. In one example, she noted that U.S. law says it's illegal to threaten the president's wife, but says nothing about the president's husband.

Jenny Horne: How a descendant of the president of the Confederacy helped vanquish his flag
On June 17, a church in Charleston became the scene of horrific slaughter. White supremacist Dylann Roof allegedly murdered a beloved pastor and eight of his parishioners simply because they were black. Roof, his friends said, wanted to incite a race war. Instead, he incited a fierce debate over racism and the Confederate flag.
Less than a month later, that debate came full circle on Wednesday night. In a remarkable scene, reminiscent of furious 19th Century slavery debates in Congress, members of the South Carolina House of Representatives made passionate pleas for and against keeping the Confederate flag flying in front of the state capitol.

Salisbury Skate Park Editorial
Any minute now I will add to this series Mayor Jim Ireton's letter to complete all correspondences.
What's important to note here is the FACT that I personally sat in several of these Skate Park Meetings from the very beginning and I can 100% assure you that the people involved GUARANTEED that not a single penny would come from the taxpayers to build and maintain this facility.
Once again these LIBERALS flat out LIED to our representatives and the public taxpayers. Grant money has already been awarded to these people and that comes from the taxpayers.
I say, STOP any and all funding and hold these people accountable to their word.

Salisbury Skate Park: Deborah to County Part 2
Mr. Allen Brown,
I received the attached letter from you yesterday, informing me that the FY 2016 Program Open Space (POS) funding decisions had been made, and that the Salisbury Skatepark project had once again been denied funding.
This came as a great shock to me, as I had contacted the Recreation & Parks Department on May 12, 2015, and I had specifically asked when the Wicomico Recreation & Parks Commission would be making the POS funding decisions, and if that meeting would be open to the public.
I was told that the Recreation Commission would be making the POS funding decisions at their meeting in June which falls on June 23, 2015, and that the meeting would be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center. I was further advised that the Wicomico Recreation & Parks Commission serves as an advisory board to the Department, and as such their meetings are open to the public. I considered this to be very good news, as it meant that all of those individuals who have strongly supported the creation of a skatepark in Salisbury for the last eight years would have the opportunity to show the Committee members just how much this facility means to them, and why the County should support this endeavor.
Now I find out that the POS funding decision has been made a month early, without any opportunity for public input whatsoever. Indeed, it appears that the date for this decision making session was changed specifically to prevent any public input. I am shocked and dismayed that the Wicomico Recreation & Parks Commission would take this unprecedented step to silence the supporters of this project, and I would like to know how and why this happened.
The skatepark project was originally spearheaded by the County. In FY 2007 Wicomico County Recreation, Parks and Tourism conducted a series of five community forums designed to determine the recreational needs of the area. In every one of these forums, the need for skateboarding facilities was a dominant subject of the discussion. Accordingly, in April of 2007 the County held a planning session to further refine the type of skateboarding facility that was desired, and those members of the public that would be interested in serving on a committee to further this goal. The Salisbury Skatepark Committee was formed from this session, and they have been working on this project ever since.
This latest denial makes seven times that the County has rejected the City’s request for POS funding for the Skatepark. There are a great many recreational facilities of all types throughout Wicomico County, but there is still not one skatepark. Given that the County initiated this project based upon specific requests from the public, I truly do not understand the why the City’s requests for POS funding support from the County have been repeatedly denied.
As this funding decision was made a full month ahead of the original schedule, I believe there is time to reconsider. I would greatly appreciate it if the Recreation Commission would reevaluate their decision, as the support of Wicomico County will make a big difference in the City’s ability to complete Phase 2 of this important facility.
Thank you for your consideration of my request.

Kim Jong-Un 'Executed Terrapin Farmer Over Poor Production'
The manager of a terrapin farm near Pyongyang, North Korea was reportedly shot on the orders of dictator Kim Jong-un following a disappointing tour of the farm in May of this year.
The farm official was shot and killed on the orders of Kim following a tour of the facility in May, which left him furious at the number of terrapin deaths and the failure to breed freshwater lobsters, sources inside the country told the Daily NK, a website run by Koreans from both sides of the border and funded by NGOs who emphasize democracy and human rights.
The farm manager attempted to explain that the terrapins had died due to a lack of electricity, water and food for the terrapins. Regardless of the reasons behind the terrapin deaths, Kim apparently decided to set an example by executing the farm manager, according to another Daily NK source who corroborated the story.

ORANGE COUNTY FLORIDA
For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions. This lady made the argument pretty simple. NOT printed in the Orange County Paper .....
Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which do not agree with the philosophy they're pushing on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help, it will get published via cyberspace!
From: "David LaBonte"
My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:
Dear Editor:
So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.
Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.
They had waved good-bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.
Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France and Japan. None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people.

The Orwellian-Keynesian Path
Greece defaults. The Dow plummets 350 points in one day. Ugly, ominous DEBT builds up like a giant snow cliff hanging over the economic valleys of the West. Is this the end of the Great Keynesian Charade brought to us by the collectivists with the advent of 1913 and the Roosevelt revolution of 1933? Not quite, but the end is near. It sits just beyond the "fiscal can kicking" that our government banking oligarchs have fashioned for us from Milhouse Nixon to Hussein Obama. A few more years of such illusory "policy making" will be all that is needed. The DEBT avalanche that we have contained far longer than wise men ever thought possible will begin its descent and crash into our lives. It won't be a slow form of destruction, either; it will be a huge and horrific crash that will wipe out much of the quality of our way of life overnight.
It will begin as the marketplace reasserts its control in the bond market and interest rates begin to climb in defiance of the Fed's massive rate suppression over the past decade. China and the world's buyers of U.S. treasuries are not going to continue ponying up in the treasury auctions like they have been doing for so many decades. In fact, they are now beginning to get rid of U.S. treasuries, and this means they will surely be buying far less of them in future auctions. This will mean interest rates must go higher. The days of Washington borrowing its way to power and phony prosperity are numbered.
With higher interest rates will come more pressure for the Fed to simply print money in order to fund the egregious prodigality of the welfare state that FDR and LBJ gave to us. With such blatant printing will come price inflation and a fall of the dollar's value throughout the world, which will then spur further rises in interest rates. The Keynesian chickens of "pseudo prosperity" that we have been enjoying for 80 years will come home to roost in a devastating decline for America. The boom will be replaced by the bust, and it will be massive.
