Handcuffed man is STILL at large after he managed to drive off in a North Carolina patrol car

Police in North Carolina say a man handcuffed in the back of a patrol cruiser managed to escape by getting into the front seat and driving away.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a news release that officers were searching Dontray Antonio Pharr's vehicle when he escaped on Tuesday shortly after 4pm.

The 20-year-old managed to move the handcuffs from behind his back to his front before squeezing through the vehicle's window and driving off.

Police said a 'very small' interior window was left open to allow air conditioning to reach Pharr in the car.

They better take my keys when they arrest me. I always carry a handcuff key on my key ring. You know, just in case I need it when she won't let me go, after our "games."
