An Elderly Couple In Need Of Help

Joe,

I wanted to see if I could get your help with a situation! An elderly couple had a trailer fire on Feb 16th. It was a rental and they had no rental insurance. Hank is a veteran who still works part time to make ends meet. Georgette is disabled with multiple medical conditions. They have been displaced by this fire and are currently living in a shelter. They are allowed only 90 days in the shelter. They are struggling with having to come up with a down payment for a new rental and on top of that, they lost all of their belongings. Can you please help get the word out about this Go Fund Me account for them? Unfortunately Georgette is the one who made the account and her description does not necessarily show the full extent of the unfortunate circumstances that they are in.

Just FYI people, renters insurance rarely costs more than $200 a YEAR (I have it through Geico and it's only $110/yr)! It's absolutely worth it.

They should contact local churches for assistance and salvation army.

Not everyone can get renter's insurance. I am currently living in a 30 year old mobile home, not on a permanent foundation, that I cannot find insurance for.
