Delmar Police Department Press Release

Incident: Drug Violations / Search Warrant
Date of Arrest: 09-02-08
Location: 30 Shannon St., Delmar, DE 19940
Suspects: Johnny R. Shockley, W/M, DOB: 04/23/85, Courtney M. Shockley, W/F, DOB: 12/22/87, both reside at 30 Shannon St., Delmar, DE

On September 02, 2008 officers of the Delmar Police Department received information about marijuana being grown in the backyard of 30 Shannon St., Delmar, DE. Officers responded, observed and recovered the suspected marijuana, and subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon execution of the search warrant by the Delmar Police Department additional suspected marijuana was located along with drug paraphernalia and numerous controlled prescription medications. Johnny and Courtney Shockley along with their 3 year old son were located within the residence at the time of the search warrant execution. Johnny and Courtney Shockley were charged with the following crimes:

Manufacture of a Nonnarcotic Schedule I Controlled Substance
Possess w/ Intent to Deliver Manufacture Schedule III IV V Narcotic
Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping Controlled Substances
Possession of a Narcotic Schedule IV Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Marijuana
Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 09-04-08
Location: 420 E. State St., Delmar, MD 21875
Suspects: Antonio K. Durand, B/M, DOB: 03-18-81, 420 E. State St., Delmar, MD 21875

On September 04, 2008 at 2:00AM officers of the Delmar Police Department responded to 420 E. State St., Delmar, MD in ref. to a domestic. Upon arrival the investigation revealed that Antonia Durand had assaulted his wife/victim. Officers arrested Durand for Assault 2nd Degree and transported Durand to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
