On the Eve of the CNN Insider blowing the whistle on his own network…
“It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires of freedom in the minds of men.” – Samuel Adams.
This week, a CNN insider will blow the whistle and through Project Veritas will release dozens of recordings made of officials at the highest levels of CNN, revealing a political agenda, bias and misconduct hidden from public view.
This series of tapes — which we think will be the biggest story of the year for Project Veritas — blends two extraordinary series of events; a brave insider secretly recording at work and a hard-hitting piece of hidden camera muckraking into one of the supposed “most trusted names in news.”
A major aspect of this story is the heroic actions of an insider.

Trump Orders Full Withdrawal From Northern Syria, Warns Sanctions On Turkey "Ready To Go"
Defense Secretary Mark Esper told "Face the Nation" in a Sunday interview that the Trump administration is "preparing to evacuate" about 1,000 U.S. troops from northern Syria "as safely and quickly as possible," CBS reports.
"In the last 24 hours, we learned that [the Turks] likely intend to extend their attack further south than originally planned, and to the west," Esper said. "We also have learned in the last 24 hours that the... SDF are looking to cut a deal, if you will, with the Syrians and the Russians to counterattack against the Turks in the north."
This as President Trump has also announced the US Treasury is "ready to go" with sanctions on Turkey.
This also comes after a week ago Trump ordered the withdrawal of US troops from northern border posts ahead of a Turkish military incursion to establish a so-called 'safe zone'. That decision has been met with fierce push back among Congressional leaders and pundits, angry at the US "betrayal" of its Syrian Kurdish partners, namely the US-funded and trained Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Welcome home! Bison released into new territory
Thanks to generous WWF supporters, bison now have 22,000 new acres to roam in Badlands National Park
The door of the gooseneck trailer clanged open and for a moment, the only sound was a lacerating wind whipping snow across the plains and canyons of Badlands National Park. A slew of onlookers waited in hushed anticipation. And then—as though a signaling bell chimed—four massive, majestic bison barreled through the opening and into the wild.
This is the first time that bison have touched this land since 1870.
Bison in Badlands National Park now have an additional 22,000 acres to roam thanks to a passionate group of supporters who want to see America’s national mammal thrive.
“Bison are North America’s largest and most iconic mammal, and WWF is thrilled to be part of an effort to create the second largest herd in the National Park system,” said Martha Kauffman, managing director of WWF’s Northern Great Plains program. “The project has touched the imaginations of people across the US, and the matching dollars that WWF has provided wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our supporters.”

Goodwin: Madness of leftist zealots
Watching the daily attacks and counterattacks in Washington, the optimist in me searches for the bright side. Surely there will be resolutions soon on Ukraine and impeachment, as well as on the misconduct of the FBI and CIA during the 2016 election.
All that will happen any day now, my sunny side assures me. One fine morning we’ll wake up to learn President Trump and his tormentors are calling a cease-fire because they realize the dizzying tit-for-tat escalation is too hot for America’s good.
Then we can all breathe a sigh of relief and get back to politics as normal, with Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives engaged in a tug of war that is serious but not destructive. The impact on the 2020 election will be immediate as the candidates pivot to the traditionally decisive issues of taxes and spending, war and peace.

California's New 'Red Flag' Gun Law So Extreme ACLU Deems "Significant Threat To Civil Liberties"
California adopted 15 firearms-related bills last Friday, including a controversial 'red flag' gun confiscation law which adds co-workers, employers and educators to the list of who can file a gun violence restraining order on those they say are a danger to themselves and others. Currently, only law enforcement and immediate family members can apply to temporarily confiscate peoples' firearms. Most of the new laws take effect January 1, according to the LA Times.
Signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) after being vetoed twice by his Democratic predecessor Jerry Brown (who said that educators can work through family members or law enforcement if a restraining order is required), the gun confiscation bill is so broad that the ACLU said it "poses a significant threat to civil liberties" since guns can be seized from owners before they have an opportunity to contest the requests, and those making the requests may "lack the relationship or skills required to make an appropriate assessment," NBC San Diego reports.
All that's needed for a co-worker or educator to file a complaint is to have had "substantial and regular interactions" with gun owners, along with permission from their employers or school administrators. Those seeking the orders will be required to file a sworn statement outlining their concerns.

CHOWCHILLA BUS KIDNAPPING SURVIVOR: "I FELT LIKE I WAS AN ANIMAL GOING TO THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE"
It was one of the largest kidnappings in U.S. history. A school bus with 26 children was stopped by three armed gunmen as they headed home from the Dairyland Elementary School in the small California town of Chowchilla. The men were wearing pantyhose over their faces.
"Where their eyes were, it was like, it almost looked hollow," recalls survivor Larry Park, just 6 years old at the time. "It was like looking at death."
The children and their school bus driver were transferred to vans and were driven for nearly 12 unbearable hours before being buried alive inside a truck trailer underground — held hostage in the dark for another 16 hours before they made a harrowing escape.

William Barr warns of 'militant' secularism in speech about declining religious values
Attorney General William Barr said declining religious values and the loss of the “traditional moral order” is causing many of society’s ills.
Speaking at the University of Notre Dame Law School Friday, Barr said that because of a “moral upheaval” there has been an increase in drug use, children born out of wedlock, and people being alienated.
“The campaign to destroy the traditional moral order has coincided and I believe has brought with it immense suffering and misery. And yet the forces of secularism, ignoring these tragic results, press on with even greater militancy,” the attorney general said.
Barr, 69, is a devout Catholic. During the speech, he touched on efforts by the Justice Department to assist faith-based organizations that fight for religious liberty. He also warned about the “progressive” movement in U.S. politics.

Elizabeth Warren Is Jussie Smollett
What they have in common turns out to have nothing to
do with skin tone.
Elizabeth Warren has a moving story about being fired from a teaching job because she was pregnant, a story that perfectly complements her political narrative that she is the tribune and champion of those who have been treated unfairly by the powerful. Joe Biden has a moving — and horrifying — story about his wife and daughter being killed by a drunk driver, a story that similarly could not have been designed more perfectly to bolster his political image as a man who can be counted on to soldier on in the face of adversity.
Of course, neither story is true.
Are we still caring about that sort of thing?
Elizabeth Warren has long pretended to be a person of color — a “woman of color,” the Harvard law faculty called her. (That color is Pantone 11-0602.) What Senator Warren has in common with Jussie Smollett turns out to have nothing to do with skin tone. Smollett, you’ll recall, regaled the nation with the story of a couple of violent, Trump-loving, MAGA-hat-wearing white supremacists who just happened to be cruising a gay neighborhood in Chicago on the coldest night of the year, who also just happened to be fans of Empire, who also just happened to have some rope at hand. Who happened, as it turns out, to be a couple of Nigerian brothers and colleagues of Smollett’s.

Hunter Biden Leaves China Board as Trump Attacks Hit Home
Hunter Biden is walking away from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company as part of a public pledge to disavow all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, gains the presidency in 2020.
Joe Biden’s second son made his move after a month of pushing by U.S. President Donald Trump who has publicly highlighted the perceived – and real – conflicts of interest represented by Biden’s work in Asia.
A statement released on his behalf by his legal counsel George Mesires said his relationship with the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities will end within weeks.

CUMMINGS VIOLATES BIPARTISAN AGREEMENT AGAIN TO ISSUE POLITICAL SUBPOENA TO ICE AND USCIS
WASHINGTON, DC – Friday, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, sent a letter to Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) requesting that he convene a business meeting to allow Members to debate and vote on the Chairman’s proposed subpoena to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Excerpts from the letter:
“These subpoenas are an unnecessary and abusive tactic to use against an Executive Department that has already reached your desired policy outcome. DHS informed the Committee weeks ago that it would resume ‘its consideration of non-military deferred action requests on a discretionary, case-by-case basis, except as otherwise required by an applicable statute, regulation, or court order.’ You yourself subsequently acknowledged and applauded this decision in a press release.”
“However, despite this action by the agency, you have eschewed any cooperative posture with the Department and chosen confrontation. Continuing to threaten Department officials with compulsory process serves no legitimate oversight purpose. Similarly, such behavior may undermine any future Committee efforts to conduct responsible and credible oversight. Your decision to continue to engage in confrontational behavior with DHS suggests that your intent is not the furtherance of a legitimate oversight effort, but rather purely partisan theater and the continuation of your pattern of attacks on the Trump Administration.”

Maria Bartiromo: DOJ inspector general report due out Friday and covers 'more than just FISA abuse'
Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo says her sources are telling her an extensive report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and the FBI will be released by the end of next week.
Bartiromo, who is the first journalist to report an exact release date, discussed what she had learned on her Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, with two Republican congressmen who deduced former high-ranking government officials are bracing for a scathing critique.
"I’m hearing the IG report will be out this upcoming Friday, Oct. 18, and my sources say it’s as thick as a telephone book," Bartiromo said, adding that it covers "more than just FISA abuse."

FBI: More people killed with knives, hammers, clubs and even feet than rifles in 2018
It’s the data that the mainstream media tends to bury when it doesn’t fit their agenda.
According to the FBI, more than five times as many people were killed in 2018 by knives, clubs and other cutting instruments than with rifles.
The metrics show that there were a total of 1,515 deaths by knives or other cutting instruments last year. Compare that against 297 people killed by rifles.
It’s a gap that widened significantly over 2017. In that year, the FBI said nearly four times as many people were stabbed to death as killed with rifles. During that year, the number of murders with rifles was around 400.
It gets better. More than 100 more people were killed with hammers and clubs in 2018 than were killed by rifles. There were 443 people killed with hammers, clubs, or other “blunt objects”.

CNN’s Brian Stelter debunks 'left-wing conspiracy theory' on Shepard Smith departure
CNN media analyst Brian Stelter and Fox News' Howard Kurtz both addressed the conspiracies that surfaced after Shepard Smith abruptly announced he was leaving the network he had worked for since its inception.
Following the announcement, many speculated that Attorney General William Barr's recent meeting with Fox mogul Rupert Murdoch could have been the reason behind Smith's departure. However, both the network and Smith denied that his leaving stemmed from anything but his own choice.
“There was also a left-wing conspiracy theory out there about Shep Smith the other day, and I want to debunk it,” Stelter stated on Reliable Sources on Sunday. “There was a report in the New York Times that Rupert Murdoch had a meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr. That’s true they did meet, but it had nothing to do with Smith resigning a day or two later.”

Schiff: ‘May not be necessary’ for whistleblower to testify
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff revealed that his committee may not call on the whistleblower to testify.
The whistleblower, who has been identified as a CIA official with ties to former Vice President Joe Biden, filed a complaint within the intelligence community over a July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the call, Trump requested that the foreign leader investigate Biden and his son Hunter, who worked in the country.
Schiff acknowledged that his committee may not call upon the whistleblower to testify if they don't think they can protect the person's identity during a Sunday morning appearance on CBS's Face The Nation.
