Berlin’s 3rd annual Family Outdoor Movie Nights start June 17th, with “Tuck Everlasting” being shown in downtown Berlin at Jefferson Street. Movies will be screened on alternating Saturdays in Stephen Decatur Park, Dr. William Henry Park and downtown with a final showing of “Runaway Bride” on Saturday, August 26th. These free, family-friendly movie nights are hosted by the Berlin Parks Commission and Arts & Entertainment Committee.

“Last year we expanded the series to a total of six shows: two downtown and two at each of the parks. We’re glad to be able to offer six shows again this summer” said Mary Bohlen, staff liaison to the Berlin Parks Commission.

This summer’s lineup will be:

• June 17 – Tuck Everlasting; downtown
• July 1 –Grease ; Stephen Decatur Park
• July 15 – Raiders of the Lost Ark; Henry Park
• July 29 – Back to the Future; Stephen Decatur Park
• August 12 – Sandlot; Henry Park
• August 26 – Runaway Bride; downtown

All showings will start at approximately 8:30 PM and are completely free to the public. Movie-goers will need to bring a blanket or chair and their own snacks or drinks – alcohol is not permitted at any of the locations.

In case of bad weather, the decision whether or not to cancel will usually be made by noon of the same day and will be posted on Facebook at Town of Berlin Maryland.

Pelosi kicks ‘only black person in room’ out of LGBT event

Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman Schultz were anything but tolerant at a gay pride event this weekend.

Elijah Manley, a young progressive activist, attended an event at The Pride Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday.

As Manley explains, “I arrived at the event around 9:31am and waited in line for 40 minutes in the hot sun to get it. Finally, once I got in: I took a seat in the second row.

“I began to live stream the event on my Twitter page to show folks what was going on,” he said, according to a statement posted by Twitter user @GeoffMiami.

“After about a few minutes of livestreaming, a guy in a suit approached me and asked me to come with him. I complied. Once we were out of the main room, I asked him if there was a problem and he told me that there was one and that there had been online threats towards DWS,” Manley said, referring to Wasserman Schultz.

“I asked him for evidence that I posted any threats to DWS and he refused to show any. The guy standing next to him had a federal law enforcement lapel pin on his collar.

“I immediately recognized it as an emblem for the US Secret Service. He then told me that a trespassing warning was issued to me and that I was banned from the building,” according to Manley.

“The other officer escorted me from the area perimeter.”

Troopers Arrest Man for Impersonating an Officer

Bear- Delaware State Police have arrested a Bear man after he impersonated a New Castle County police officer during an incident which occurred at a Bear restaurant late last week.

The investigation determined that the incident occurred at approximaltey 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017, after a female customer parked her vehicle adjacent to the Seasons Pizza Restaurant, located at 1460 Pulaski Highway. As the customer entered the restaurant, she was confronted by a male subject, later identified as Joseph P. Dooley, 30, of Bear. Dooley ordered the female customer to move her car and then proceeded to call her a racial slur. As the customer left the restaurant, she was followed by Dooley who then began to take a picture of her vehicle's registration. He then advised the victim that he was an officer with the New Castle County Police Department. The female customer then began recording Dooley and was able to obtain the registration number of his vehicle before he fled the parking lot. She then called 9-1-1.

Investigating troopers responded to Dooley's home and was able to take him into custody without incident. He was then transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with Criminal Impersoantion of a Police Officer and Terroristic Threatening. He was arraigned at JP Court 11 and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in default of $3500.00 cash bail.

Is all the impeachment talk boomeranging on Maxine Waters?

A constituent filmed an encounter with the California Congresswoman on Monday and the two clashed before Waters declared that a member of Congress couldn’t be impeached.

The constituent, who was unnamed in the video that was posted by YouTube user Melani Bell, began by telling Waters that she’s been calling her office and sending her emails for “five minutes of your time.”

“You’re one of 700,000,” Waters replied, referring to the number of constituents she has.

The constituent wanted to complain to Waters about her treatment of President Trump.

“I can’t stand him,” Waters said, cutting her off. “He’s the most horrible man I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“I love my president,” the woman replied.

“I’m glad you do,” Waters said.

When the woman wanted to know why Waters wouldn’t also represent her views in Washington, Waters said, “Your president is a dishonorable, lying man,” adding that he “lies every day.”

Sea Grass Takes Over Beach In Ocean City

A large amount of phragmite, or sea grass, has washed up on the beaches from 94th Street north to the Delaware State Line. Citizens are advised to avoid walking through the grass due to debris and other sea life that could be hidden underneath. Public Works crews will be working through the night to clear spaces through the grass and around lifeguard stands so that the public can get to the water.

Sewage from Mexico causing rashes on Border Patrol agents

Navy SEALs have been forced to change their training, and Border Patrol agents have been sent to the hospital suffering festering rashes from sewage seeping out of Mexico and into Southern California, according to agents and officials who say both the U.S. and Mexico need to begin taking the matter seriously.

The ongoing spill, which one agent likened to a “chemical weapons” attack, has created “no-go” zones for the Border Patrol, hindering their efforts to stem the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs that are still coming across.

The latest spurt came late last week when Mexican officials reported a suicide attempt at a pump station in Tijuana and had to shut the facility down. The suicide attempt was averted, but the shutdown caused sewage to flow into the Tijuana River, leeching 330,000 gallons of wastewater into the U.S.

Hours later, a “miscommunication” between the U.S. and Mexican border commissions led to another smaller spill, with 3,800 gallons seeping into the river.

“As crude and nasty as this sounds, this is not American sewage, this is Third World sewage,” said Christopher Harris, a Border Patrol agent and director of legislative and political affairs for Local 1613, the union for agents in the sector.

“There’s whole areas now that are biologically and chemically impacted, just like if you had a biological or chemical attack. There are areas that are no-go zones,” he said.

COUNTRY LIVING —There's nothing more terrifying than finding one of these long, skittery pests hanging out in your basement. But before you screech at the top of your lungs while reaching for your shoe, you should know that house centipedes are far from being bad guys.

While nobody likes creepy crawlies running around their home, these centipedes are actually on the lookout for even nastier pests, according to Rodale's Organic Life. House centipedes (Scutigera coleoptrata) tend to lurk in the humid areas of homes looking for prey, including cockroaches, termites, spiders, and silverfish. By far, that list of insects combined is way creepier than any house centipede!

How are they able to kill all these terrible bugs? These creatures might have 30 legs, so they can move fast, but that's not the only impressive thing about them. Their front two legs double as fangs that are filled with venom to inject their victims with. (Don't worry though: the fangs aren't strong enough to prick human skin.)

Black Farmer Calls Out Progressives For Being Racial Hypocrites

A black farmer is using social media to tackle the issue of race relations in Charlottesville, Virginia, and you won't believe who he’s calling out.

Chris Newman, who owns the Sylvanaqua Farms in Albemarle County, posted a message on Facebook discussing his thoughts on the “Love Trumps Hate” protest, which took place in Charlottesville on Saturday. The demonstration was billed as a counter-protest to an event led by white nationalist Richard Spencer opposing the city's decision to remove a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

“I’d like to appreciate it, but frankly I just don’t,” Newman said of the left-wing counter-protest.

“Charlottesville is by far the most aggressively segregated place I’ve ever lived in or visited," he added on Facebook. "And that seems a strange thing to have to say about a town that hosts a public university.”

Newman added that while Charlottesville concerns itself with removing Confederate statues in some grand public gesture, the city's actual racial problems aren't being solved. Newman claimed he's had run-ins with the police after coincidentally getting “a strange look from a passerby," and the situation's not being caused by right-wing extremists.

“It isn’t Richard Spencer calling the cops on me for farming while Black. It’s nervous white women in yoga pants with ‘I’m with Her’ and ‘Coexist’ stickers on their German SUV’s," Newman said, adding that local business are making huge profits off incorporating hip hop into their branding while not having any black owners, partners, employees, or vendors.

Park police warn of ‘Drano bombs’ in Montgomery Co. park

WASHINGTON — Authorities in Montgomery County have alerted the public after discovering two rudimentary homemade explosive devices along a park trail in Germantown, Maryland.

The so-called “Drano bombs” consist of water, drain cleanser and aluminum foil sealed in a 12-ounce plastic water bottle. The chemical reaction creates hydrogen gas, which can cause an explosion.

The explosive materials were found along the Clarksburg Heights Trail in Little Seneca Greenway Stream Valley Park on May 16, according to the Montgomery County division of the Maryland National Capital Park Police.

Professor Forced to Hold Class Off Campus Amidst ‘Racism’ Accusations

A university professor was forced to hold class off campus after the police told him campus would not be safe for him because of angry protesters.

As MRCTV previously reported, Evergreen State College professor Bret Weinstein became the target of students’ ire after he denounced the school’s plan to kick white students off campus in observation of “A Day Of Absence.” Hundreds of students responded to Weinstein condemnation by demanding his resignation and barricading the president’s office.

KING5 reports, as a result of the protests, Weinstein has been forced off campus.

Weinstein told KING5, “I have been told by the Chief of Police it’s not safe for me to be on campus.”

Weinstein reportedly held his class at a park off campus on Thursday.

Marissa Parker, a protester against Weinstein, told KING5, “If he feels unsafe or frightened for two days, he can only imagine what black and brown bodies have feared for years.”

Weinstein has been ridiculed as a “racist” for daring to oppose the school’s Day of Absence Plan and race being used in hiring practices.

The sky's the limit for Maryland National Guard Soldiers

WAINWRIGHT, Alberta - As the rotors of a UH-60 Black Hawk spin faster and faster, blurring together in a circular streak against the vibrant hues of a setting sun, a flight crew prepares for takeoff.

The pilots may get the glory and adoration of those watching from the ground as they gracefully lift the beast into the sky, but they know a successful mission isn't possible without their crew chief.

Becoming a crew chief is a progression from maintenance and repair to actually riding in the seat behind the cockpit and guiding the pilots on the flight. It requires dedication and hard work, which is nothing new for two Maryland National Guard Soldiers who chose the position.

They are only a few years into their careers, but their love for the job and willingness to learn has them flying high on the path to success.

Spc. Austin Poe, a 23-year-old crew chief with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, grew up in the aviation world. His grandfather was a pilot in Vietnam and his father was also a crew chief in the Army. The Baltimore resident said he first rode a helicopter when he was six months old, and for him, the attraction of flying is simply being in the sky.

Seven subpoenas issued in House Russia probe: report

The House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday issued seven subpoenas in its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, including three related to allegations of improper “unmasking” of Trump campaign officials, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Those three subpoenas went to the CIA, FBI and National Security Agency and are related to questions — primarily from Republicans — about how the names of associates of President Trump were un-redacted and distributed in classified Obama administration reports during the transition period.

The remaining four subpoenas were related to the Russia meddling itself.

The committee said in a statement that it had issued subpoenas to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and one company associated with the former intelligence official, Flynn Intel Group LLC; and longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and his firm, Michael D. Cohen & Associates PC.

The statement did not address the three subpoenas related to unmasking, reported related to requests made by former national security adviser Susan Rice, former CIA Director John Brennan and former United Nations Ambassador Susan Power.

Left-wing news outlet Vox attacked Marines on Memorial Day, claiming in an article that the Marine Corps has a “toxic masculinity problem.”

The article, which was simply titled “The Marine Corps has a ‘toxic masculinity’ problem,” continued to claim that the Marine Corps often “marginalizes or mistreats female troops.”

Citing the Marines United nude photo sharing scandal, Vox staff writer and defense correspondent Alex Ward attempted to link the Marines with systemic sexism and listed ways how the Corps could get rid of their “toxic masculinity.”

GARY BROWN, JR., FORMER LEGISLATIVE AIDE TO MAYOR PUGH AND CURRENT EMPLOYEE OF MAYOR’S OFFICE, SENTENCED FOR ELECTION LAW VIOLATIONS

State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt announced today that Gary Brown, Jr., a former legislative aide to then Senator Pugh and current employee of the Mayor’s Office, was found guilty and sentenced in the Baltimore City Circuit Court for two election law violations stemming from illegal contributions to the Committee to Elect Catherine E. Pugh campaign finance entity. The Honorable Charles J. Peters imposed Probation before Judgment and placed Mr. Brown on one year of supervised probation.

From a Statement of Facts In Support Of Guilty Plea, the court learned that, between January 13, 2016 and April 9, 2016, Mr. Brown, while working for the Mayor’s election campaign, deposited cash into the bank accounts of his mother, step father and brother and then immediately contributed that money in the names of his mother, stepfather and brother to the Pugh campaign. The contributions by Mr. Brown during this period totaled $18,000.00. The maximum amount an individual is allowed to contribute under Maryland law is $6000.00 per election cycle. State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt stated: “Election laws are in place to maintain the integrity of the electoral process and foster transparency in the regulation of campaign contributions. Illegal straw contributions in names other than one’s own to evade such laws cannot be tolerated.”

Nationals’ Bryce Harper Slams ‘Participation Trophy’ Culture in Youth Sports

Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper is not very happy with the way kids are being raised today and he has a bit of advice: “No participation trophies.” he said.

The four time All-Star player is not interested in the way youth sports is run these days. He recently told a group of kids from the Northwest Washington (D.C.) Little League that they need to strive for excellence, not sit back and be satisfied with false awards, the Washington Post reported.

“As much as they might tell you, ‘Oh, it’s okay you guys lost,’ but no, Johnny, no,” Harper said to a crowd of youth ballplayers Saturday. “No participation trophies, okay. First place only.”

Harper is an National League MVP, and won the Silver Slugger Award as well as the Golden Spikes Award, is a Hank Aaron Award winner and is the National League home run leader. So, he just might know what he is talking about.

New Thing To Be Wrong About: Having ‘Genital Preferences’ In Dating Is Transphobic

Oh my gosh, I am laughing so hard at how inane this is!

Riley J. Dennis recently posited that if you’re a woman who wants to date a man with a penis, you’re wrong. Not only are you wrong, you are a transphobic bigot.

She came up with the new word, “cissexism,” which means “prejudice or discrimination against trans people.” By the way, this is exactly the same definition of the word “transphobia,” but you just can’t have enough new words to try to shame people for their bias.

On the feminist website EveryDayFeminist.com, she said:

[People] might argue that being attracted to women without vaginas in no way negatively affects trans people, but on the other hand I would argue it’s more complicated than that. We all have our implicit biases built into our preferences and gender isn’t as simple as just the genitals you have.

Remember when gay people argued that “it doesn’t matter if two men are attracted to each other. It doesn’t affect heterosexuals at all.” The new mantra is precisely the opposite: “If heterosexuals are attracted to each other exclusively, it affects everyone negatively.” Got it?

Lately, it's obvious that Democrats have been trying to make Chelsea Clinton into a thing. T.A. Frank, writing in Vanity Fair, said:

"Amid investigations into Russian election interference, perhaps we ought to consider whether the Kremlin, to hurt Democrats, helped put Chelsea Clinton on the cover of Variety. Or maybe superstition explains it. Like tribesmen laying out a sacrifice to placate King Kong, news outlets continue to make offerings to the Clinton gods. In The New York Times alone, Chelsea has starred in multiple features over the past few months: for her tweeting (it’s become “feisty”), for her upcoming book (to be titled She Persisted), and her reading habits (she says she has an “embarrassingly large” collection of books on her Kindle). With Chelsea’s 2015 book, It’s Your World, now out in paperback, the puff pieces in other outlets—Elle, People, etc.—are too numerous to count."

Frank goes on to say that Chelsea comes across as having a "self-regard of an unusual intensity. And the effect is stronger on paper.

Unkind as it is to say, reading anything by Chelsea Clinton—tweets, interviews, books—is best compared to taking in spoonfuls of plain oatmeal that, periodically, conceal a toenail clipping."

Council Hears Immigration Bill; Passage In Doubt

Members of the Baltimore County Council heard from more than 50 people who packed a work session on a bill that would allow Baltimore County corrections officers to be trained as federal immigration agents to investigate those in the county jail for possible deportation.

The bill, sponsored by the three Republican members of the council, would enter the county into the 287g program, where local law enforcement form a partnership with the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Similar partnerships are already in place in Frederick and Harford Counties.

Opponents of the measure held up green cards, immigrant rights activists and immigrants spoke against the proposal.

Vitamins and Autism: The Real Story

Kids today receive about four times the number of vaccinations that I did in as a child in the late 1950s. And, there has been a sharp increase in the incidence of autism in children.

There are conventionally trained physicians, such as Drs. Andrew Wakefield, Suzanne Humphries and others who are convinced that the steep rise is due in large part to the rising number of shots for children. While I personally am in full agreement with them, vaccination is not the focus of this article. Increased vaccination is a fact of life. Increased autism is also a fact of life. Whether it is correlation or causation, in either event you have virtually no choice in the matter. You are forced by law to vaccinate your children. You are also righteously and compassionately compelled as a loving, dedicated parent, to care for your autistic child. The pressing question is, what can we do to help autistic children today? I therefore wish to address autism as an existing condition, regardless of what may have caused it.

You may or may not be surprised that many an internet search (and most all doctor visits) will assure you that, like vaccination, vitamins have precious little if anything to do with treating autism. However, there is a whole body of knowledge that disagrees.

Autism may be what Abram Hoffer, MD, PhD, termed a nutritional dependency disease. This is distinct and different from a nutrient deficiency disease. Deficiency means you are not getting the commonly accepted minimum standard. Dependency means you personally need much more than others, permanently. Drugs will not correct vitamin dependencies. Nutritional treatment can, and has.

In half a second, a Google search will yield over 50,000 results for Bernard Rimland. Dr. Rimland has been honored all over the world. In Britain, newspapers such as the Guardian and the Independent featured his life and work. The LA Times called him "the father of modern autism research."

"In 1964, (Rimland) published 'Infantile Autism', a landmark book that argued autism had biochemical roots," said TIME Magazine, "and also controversially claimed metals like mercury (in vaccines) could trigger autism and vitamins could help treat it."

He reclassified 88 political appointees as civil servants. Are they the informants who are leaking everything Trump does?

Despite the utter lack of evidence, the mainstream media continue to prop up a theory that there was collusion between Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russians, and any rumor or unfounded suggestion is reported as fact. However, a far greater problem than the alleged Trump-Russia connection (and the only one supported by evidence) is the leaks coming from the White House and from within the intelligence community. They are without question damaging our national security and undermining the president.

The impression created by the media is that Trump is so inherently incompetent that members of his own staff are doing the leaking. The image is one of utter chaos in the West Wing. In reality, many of the leaks are likely coming from political appointees of Barack Obama who remain in the White House. In the waning days of his presidency, Obama transferred these political appointees to civil servant status in order to make it harder for them to be terminated by the incoming president.

Remember when candidate Obama used to rail against the cynicism in our politics? Turns out he was right.

Eastern Shore Forest Products buys former Kraft-Heinz factory

FEDERALSBURG — Eastern Shore Forest Products recently bought the vacant former Kraft-Heinz property in Federalsburg, with plans to invest $5 million in the facility and bring at least 45 new jobs, Caroline County Economic Development said in a news release.

Eastern Shore Forest Products operates four locations in Millington, Pocomoke and Frankford, Del., and Salisbury, where it is headquartered.

The family-owned business has been operating for 37 years, producing specialty consumer wood products, industrial wood fiber, mulch, fuel and specialty soil mixes.

Its Federalsburg facility will produce animal bedding and fuel products to be distributed primarily through major national retailers.

The company will make improvements to the facility to soundproof its operations from outside the building. It is also in the process of building its own proprietary equipment used in the production process.

World No Tobacco Day

(May 31, 2017 Salisbury, MD) – Every year on the 31st of May, World No Tobacco Day encourages people who smoke to take a pledge to stop smoking for 24 hours. Smokers around the world use the day to practice quitting for a short time or as the start of a long-term quit attempt.

The World Health Organization declared the first World No Tobacco Day on May 31, 1988. Each year, this event draws attention to smoking’s harmful consequences to individuals and society such as increased medical expenses and lost productivity caused by increased disease and early death. Because of this and many other efforts in education and policy, the adult smoking rate in the United States has decreased from 20.9.% in 2005 to 15.1% in 2015 (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

In celebration of World No Tobacco Day, the Wicomico County Health Department will offer stop smoking kits at its locations at 300 W. Main Street Salisbury, 801 N. Salisbury Blvd. Ste. 103 Salisbury, 705 N. Salisbury Blvd. Salisbury, and 108 E. Main Street Salisbury, MD.

The Wicomico County Health Department offers stop smoking classes every Thursday at noon in its Hurdle Building at 108 E. Main Street. The program offers free education and support. Participants are eligible to receive FREE quit smoking medications including nicotine replacement patches, nicotine lozenges, or Chantix. Anyone who lives or works in Wicomico County may participate. Confidential one-one counseling is also available, including for pregnant women.

McCain Still Badmouthing Trump While Abroad

President Donald Trump has unsettled allies, as well as Americans, Senator John McCain said during a speech in Sydney on the future of U.S. relations with Asia.

McCain -- the chairman of U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and the Republican presidential nominee in 2008 -- said Tuesday that Australia wasn’t alone in questioning whether America was still committed to upholding peace and justice around the world.

“Other American allies have similar doubts these days and this is understandable,” McCain, 80, told a crowd at the University of Sydney’s U.S. Studies Centre. “I realize that some of President Trump’s actions and statements have unsettled America’s friends. They have unsettled many Americans as well.”

40-year sentence for gang member who lured teen to murder with sex

ROCKVILLE, Md. — A 20-year-old gang member has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after luring a man with the promise of sex to a remote park, setting him up to be stabbed more than 150 times in a gang murder.

Vanesa Alvarado received a life sentence with all but 40 years suspended as part of a plea arrangement with Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Cristian Antonio Villagran-Morales, 18, who emigrated from Guatemala, lived in Gaithersburg. While he was attempting to buy marijuana from three gang members of MS-13 last June, they asked Villagran-Morales whether he was a gang member.

Although he wasn’t, prosecutors say he flashed hand signs associated with MS-13’s rival gang, 18th Street. Later, a gang leader demanded the murder of Villagran-Morales.

Palestinian Authority Paid Out $1 Billion In 4 Years For Terrorists’ Salaries

TEL AVIV – The Palestinian Authority has paid out NIS 4 billion ($1.12 billion) over the past four years towards salaries for terrorists and their families, a former intelligence chief said on Monday.

Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, who served as the director general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that the longer a Palestinian security prisoner is jailed, “the higher the salary. … Anyone who has sat in prison for more than 30 years gets NIS 12,000 ($3,360) per month.”

“When they’re released, they get a grant and are promised a job at the Palestinian Authority. They get a military rank that’s determined according to the number of years they’ve served in jail,” he added, according to the (Hebrew) NRG website.

Kuperwasser also said the PA’s claim that the funds are social welfare benefits to needy families is simply a lie. Their own budgets, he said, “clearly state that these are salaries and not welfare payments.”

Kuperwasser, today a project director at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs think tank, told the Committee that the funds were channeled indirectly from the PA to recipients “via a non-government ‘payment fund.'”

The Next Stock Market Crash Will Be Blamed On Trump But It's The Fed's Fault

A stock market crash is coming, and the Democrats and the mainstream media are going to blame Donald Trump for it even though it won’t be his fault. The truth is that we were headed for a major financial crisis no matter who won the election. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up a staggering 230 percent since the lows of 2009, and no stock market rally in our history has ever reached the 10 year mark without at least a 20 percent downturn. At this point stocks are about as overvalued as they have ever been, and every other time we have seen a bubble of this magnitude a historic stock market crash has always followed. Those that are hoping that this time will somehow be different are simply being delusional.

Since November 7th, the Dow is up by about 3,000 points. That is an extremely impressive rally, and President Trump has been taking a great deal of credit for it.

Supreme Court to rule on states’ ability to clean up voter lists

The Supreme Court agreed to hear a case involving whether Ohio’s rules for cleaning up its voter rolls are too draconian, the justices announced Tuesday.

At a time when voter integrity is increasingly in the spotlight, the case will put the justices front and center in a debate about how far states can go to try to make sure their rolls aren’t littered with the names of dead voters or people who have moved out of the jurisdiction.

Voting-rights advocates say culling the lists ends up stripping out legal but infrequent voters who have every right to cast ballots.

Ohio had been prodding people who were infrequent voters and those who, according to the Postal Service, had moved out of the state.

The state sends out notices if someone doesn’t vote during a two-year period. If they then don’t vote over the next four years and don’t respond to the notices, they can be removed under state law.

An appeals court ruled Ohio’s process is too strict. The court also ruled the notification Ohio sends out to those it wants to remove from its books isn’t compliant with federal law.

EASY TRIGGERS: The Tweet Read Around the World...

Early this morning, Liberals had a massive Twitter meltdown when President Trump started a tweet and didn't finish it; leaving many to speculate what it was all about.

It was quickly learned that at the same time our embassy in Kabul was near a massive car-bomb explosion executed by a terror group in Afghanistan, killing 80+ people and wounding more than 350. The bomb was detonated in the embassy area of the city; therefore, it would be safe to assume the President's tweet was not finished because of the event.

In times of emergencies such as these, protocol dictates the President is required to go immediately to the War Room - a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) area where there is no cell service - in order to ascertain whether all the staff in a danger zone is accounted for and safe. Sorry, kids, I know it's hard to understand but an unfinished tweet is just not important to our President when the US embassy is near in a ground zero site.

Could it be some code to Russia?

However, the Liberals and Media began to spin their conspiracies of great plots with their Cracker Jack Box decoder rings, in order to understand (and crack fun) of the President's obvious unfinished tweet. One would think the media would be more concerned about the explosion with such a large body count, but it was Trump's tweet that ruled their so-called breaking news this morning - so much so even publications like The Guardian reported on the incident.

This morning, President Trump deleted his unfinished song and in response to the hysterics, issued a caustically sarcastic challenged for all those triggered by his early morning Tweet:

Maryland State Police Traffic Enforcement Efforts

Traffic enforcement efforts by Maryland state troopers during the Memorial Day holiday period resulted in more than 7,800 traffic stops that led to 130 arrests and more than 100 arrests of impaired drivers.

Maryland State Police patrol troopers began increased holiday traffic enforcement efforts on May 26, 2017 that continued through May 30, 2017. During that period, troopers arrested 111 impaired drivers, arrested 78 for criminal offenses and arrested another 53 people who were found to be wanted on warrants.

The arrests occurred during 7,833 traffic stops made by troopers working traffic safety initiatives that included additional patrols, sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols, and speed enforcement. Troopers issued 5,196 citations, 4,922 warnings and 807 safety equipment repair orders. Troopers at each of the 23 Maryland State Police barracks were involved in special enforcement operations during the holiday period.

During this period, troopers responded to 255 crashes. There were no fatal crashes reported.

If I can show you that economists, central bankers and stock analysts are blind in the area of their expertise to the most obvioussetup for disaster ever, then you’ll realize we are perfectly poised for potentially the greatest stock market crash in history. Many times in the past few months, I’ve heard these people say that the present bull market cannot crash spectacularly yet because we have not seen the kind of irrational exuberance that is required to set things up for such a crash. I shake my head in amazed disbelief as I listen to the most irrational nonsense about a stock market rally that was by far the most exuberant we have ever seen!

When the end of the financial world comes, it comes quickly. Because of the irrationality that allows such events to build up, it also comes unexpectedly to the majority of people in the financial world (and to others). The one essential ingredient for a truly massivefinancial crash is that almost no one sees it coming.

Simply put, the higher and steeper the rise, the more spectacular the fall; but the market and the economy it is operating in have to be rickety in order for things to go down like a house of cards. For that kind of situation to develop, market analysts have to be blind to the flaws around them (which looks completely irruption to those who can see).

John Brennan, Obama loyalist and CIA director, drove FBI to investigate Trump associates

What caused the Barack Obama administration to begin investigating the Donald Trump campaign last summer has come into clearer focus following a string of congressional hearings on Russian interference in the presidential election.

It was then-CIA Director John O. Brennan, a close confidant of Mr. Obama’s, who provided the information — what he termed the “basis” — for the FBI to start the counterintelligence investigation last summer. Mr. Brennan served on the former president’s 2008 presidential campaign and in his White House.

Mr. Brennan told the House Intelligence Committee on May 23 that the intelligence community was picking up tidbits on Trump associates making contacts with Russians. Mr. Brennan did not name either the Russians or the Trump people. He indicated he did not know what was said.

But he said he believed the contacts were numerous enough to alert the FBI, which began its probe into Trumpassociates that same July, according to previous congressional testimony from then-FBI director James B. Comey.

The FBI probe of contacts came the same month the intelligence community fingered Russian agents as orchestrating hacks into Democratic Party computers and providing stolen emails to WikiLeaks.

Ben Jealous, former NAACP president, announces run for MD governor

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WBFF) - Ben Jealous, former president of the NAACP, confirmed Tuesday he will run for Maryland governor.

A Democrat, Jealous, 44, cited his record of civil rights and the diversity of the state as factors that could help him win, according to a press release.

He was born in Pacific Grove, Calif., but his parents met in Baltimore and Jealous "became steeped in civil and voting rights work and spent summers in Baltimore with his maternal grandparents," according to the release.

A truck bombing near the Afghan presidential palace early Wednesday killed at least 80 people and wounded hundreds, officials said. The death toll seemed certain to rise, and the attack appeared to be one of the bloodiest of the long Afghan war.

The huge blast during the morning rush hour caused panic in much of central Kabul, shattering windows as far as a mile away.

Who Defines What Is Racist?

Students demand firing of Evergreen State professor. Police chief urges him to stay off campus for his safety. Supporters say he’s the one upholding principles of equity.

In the heated debates of campus politics these days, it is not unusual for some groups (on or off campus) to demand the firing of a faculty member. But the rancor at Evergreen State College over the last week stands out. There, a professor whom some students want fired was told by the campus police chief that, out of concern for his safety, he should stay off campus for a few days. He did, teaching a class nearby in Olympia, Wash., and is not sure when he can return to campus.

The professor's critics say he's racist, and groups of students have been holding demonstrations -- sometimes turning into marches across campus and impromptu searches for the professor. They have been chanting that racist professors must be fired. Bret Weinstein (right), a biology professor, is the main target and is the faculty member who moved his class off campus. "Fire Bret" graffiti is visible on campus. But students are also demanding the dismissals of one or more police officers, that the campus police sell off all of its weapons and various other policy changes.

The debate over Weinstein has become particularly intense. He and his supporters say that he's not a racist and is standing up for principles of equity. The president of Evergreen State, George Bridges, says Weinstein's job is not in danger. But Weinstein says Bridges has not taken the kind of public stand that is required when a professor's right to speak out is under attack. Weinstein's student critics, meanwhile, say his public defense is shifting attention away from their grievances.

Ocean City Realtor Mark Fritschle Passes Away At 69

OCEAN CITY — A household name in the coastal real estate industry passed away peacefully on Monday.

Broker Mark Fritschle, 69, spent more than 40 years working in the real estate industry in and around Ocean City. He achieved tremendous success throughout his real estate career and holds practically every designation a Realtor and broker can obtain through continuing education courses and credits.

According to his peers, one of his greatest strengths was his ability to adjust to the times and trends of the day over his four decades. One example would be his use of technology to market and sell properties through his Mark Fritschle Group-Condominium Realty, Ltd., which he founded in 1977.

Realtor and Associate Broker Joy Snyder has worked with Fritschle for three decades in the Ocean City area. She remembered him fondly Tuesday.

“We’re going to miss him. We’ve worked together for nearly 30 years in one way or another. We butted heads sometimes but we always ended up laughing at the end,” Snyder said. “He was way ahead of his time in many ways, especially with technology and the changing ways of marketing and selling properties. He built his company from nothing and did so by being rooted with very experienced people. Many of his first co-workers are still here today. He very much had an open door policy and was always available for his people. He was a very, very fair person, always fair.”

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) is pleased to announce the winner of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition: Laura Marsh of Crisfield High School and Academy in Crisfield, Maryland. Laura’s mixed media painting, titled “Turning Tides,” depicts a great blue heron with a Maryland blue crab in its mouth, flying across the water in front of a lighthouse.

“All of the submissions that my office received this year were impressive, and I am proud of all of the talented young artists who participated in this year’s competition,” said Congressman Harris. “However, Laura’s entry truly captured the natural beauty and spirit of Maryland’s First District.”

Youth Fishing Derby offers free family fun this Saturday

SALISBURY, Md. – The pond at the Salisbury City Park will be packed with fish for children to catch this Saturday during Wicomico Recreation’s annual Youth Fishing Derby.

This year’s Fishing Derby, a free event, is set for Saturday, June 3, at the Salisbury City Park. Registration opens at 8 a.m., with fishing from 9-11 a.m. Food and drinks will be provided for youth participants after that, and there will also be trophies awarded. Among the categories children can compete in are Most Fish Caught, Most Unusual Catch and Biggest Fish.

The Fishing Derby is for boys and girls ages 15 and younger, and participants should bring their own bait and rods. The Department of Natural Resources will be adding about 500 blue gills to the pond’s catfish, largemouth bass, perch and carp.
