Iran's global banking problems deepen with rise of Trump, Brexit

LONDON/ANKARA (Reuters) - Britain's vote to leave the European Union and the rise of U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump have paralyzed efforts by Western governments to encourage already highly reluctant international banks to do business with Iran.

Uncertainty is frustrating Tehran's push for foreign investment to revive its struggling economy: over Britain's political and economic future, over whether Trump - who wants to scrap a nuclear deal with Iran - will get into the White House, and over whether banks will fall foul of U.S. sanctions if they process transactions with the Islamic Republic.

Iran's failure to get full access to the global financial system a year after it signed the nuclear deal with world powers has intensified domestic political infighting. It has also turned up the heat on President Hassan Rouhani, a pragmatist facing re-election next year, who has gambled on attracting foreign investment to help raise voters' living standards.

Under the deal, international financial sanctions on Iran were officially lifted in January this year and yet it has secured banking ties with only a limited number of smaller foreign institutions.

The Legend Speaks -- Schlafly Thunders for Ryan Ouster: ‘Get Rid of Him!'

JANESVILLE, WI — Coming on the heels of her pivotal endorsement that helped propel Donald Trump to becoming the Republican nominee, conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly is once again entering the 2016 electoral fray.

After ending the presidential ambitions of Sen. Marco Rubio, the living legend now has her 91-year-old sights set on the highly controversial House Speaker Paul Ryan, who leads America’s globalist political sect and is nominally a member of the Republican Party.

Ryan has faced a spirited challenge in his August 9th open primary election from Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen.

Local Teen Gives New Meaning To Community Service

OCEAN PINES — The standard idea of community service most people have is donating supplies to a local shelter or participating in an annual beach clean-up. However, to 13-year-old Romy McVicker, community has a whole other meaning.

From Aug. 5-16, Romy and her mother Leah will travel to Antigua, Guatemala in order to deliver supplies to an orphanage and others in need.

Romy was born in Guatemala. When she was little more than a year old, Romy was adopted and brought to the United States. Leah herself is Colombian-born and was adopted and brought to this country.

While in Guatemala, Romy and Leah will visit an orphanage to deliver everything from toothbrushes and underwear to stuffed animals and Frisbees. Besides delivering goodies, the two are visiting the orphanage for the kids who they will play with and get to know.

One of the main goals of the McVickers’ trip is to also deliver bunk beds to Guatemalans who would not be able to afford beds on their own. $180 buys the frame, mattresses, and bedding. At least one of the beds will be donated to local bomberos, or paramedics/ firefighters, in Antigua.

The Car Bubble... And Cash For Clunkers II?

That’s how artifical “incentives” work on the economy. On the macro level, it is the Boom – and Bust – business cycle, whose unnatural peaks and valleys are caused by manipulation of money and credit, which causes excessive and unwarranted “investment” that – inevitably – leads to a downturn (or even a crash) when the artificially induced supply is disproportionate to demand. The housing bubble of the early 2000s is an obvious example of this.

Cash for Clunkers (same era) is another – and its unfortunate effects are just now beginning to become obvious.

As with housing in the early 2000s, the federal government decided it would be a good idea to “stimulate” new car sales by enacting a program that paid people to throw away perfectly good used cars. The idea being that they would then buy new cars to replace the ones thrown away.

Many (but not all, bear with) did so. This created a boom in new cars sales. Not only because there were fewer good used cars available, but also because the ones that remained had gone up considerably in price due to (wait for it) limited supply. This artificial scarcity in turn became the artificial incentive to buy a new car.

Actually, to take out a loan on a new car.

On Assateague, Circle Of Life On Full Display This Week; Surprise Filly’s Birth Happens Three Days After Stallion Euthanized

ASSATEAGUE — The circle of life was on full display this week at Assateague with an elderly stallion tragically hit by a car and euthanized last Friday followed by the birth of a new foal on Monday, the fourth of five expected in a virtual baby boom this year.

On Friday, Assateague Island National Seashore officials announced a 16-year-old stallion, known affectionately as Tunkan Hoksila, was hit by a car on the barrier island. Because the horse suffered a broken right hind leg, Tunkan was humanely euthanized. The tragic loss was tempered somewhat early this week when the mare known as Chama Wingapo surprisingly gave birth to a new foal in the developed area near the north end of the island.

Chama Wingapo was not known to be expecting. After annual pregnancy tests for many of the mares in the herd of wild horses on the island in November, three including JoJo, Carol’s Girl and Charmed were found to be pregnant. JoJo and Carol’s Girl have already birthed their foals earlier this spring and summer, while Charmed is still expecting and should birth her foal at any time now.

This week’s birth by Chama Wingapo was the second surprise foal this summer. Earlier this summer, Gokey Go Bones birthed her foal in late June. Charmed, who was found to be pregnant last fall, has not yet birthed her foal. Charmed’s foal will make five new additions to the Maryland side of the island.

Statement from Governor Larry Hogan on Suspension of the Artificial Island Energy Project

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today issued the following statement in response to the announcement by utility company PJM to suspend further action on the Artificial Island power line project. In June, Governor Hogan joined Delaware Governor Jack Markell to call attention to the unfair burden PJM's proposal would have placed on Delmarva residents, and to urge the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to reverse that proposal.

“Last month, I stood with Governor Markell to announce our united and strong opposition to a proposal that would have unfairly burdened Delmarva ratepayers with millions of dollars in fees for power they did not use and from which they did not benefit. It is clear that our concerns have been taken seriously and we are extremely pleased that PJM has taken action to temporarily halt the project for further and much-needed analysis.

“From day one, our administration has focused on running government more efficiently and keeping costs low for taxpayers. We look forward to the results of the review and remain committed to fighting for an equitable and permanent resolution on behalf of Marylanders and all residents of Delmarva.”

Paul Nehlen: Paul Ryan’s Betrayal of GOP Nominee Beneath Dignity

JANESVILLE, WI — Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen blasted House Speaker Paul Ryan for his “repeated betrayals” of both Republican nominee, Donald Trump, and the American electorate, who “who want a leader that will put the interests of America and her citizens first.”

“Paul Ryan’s repeated betrayals of the GOP nominee is beneath the dignity of the Speakers’ office and is morally disqualifying,” Nehlen declared.

Nehlen’s statement follows Ryan’s decision to join “Hillary Clinton and the establishment media in rebuking Trump’s common sense immigration proposals” with his Sunday statement regarding the Khan family. Ryan then chose to “attack Trump’s trade policies” at an “elite donors retreat” hosted by the Koch brothers.

Republican Looking To Bring ‘Blue Collar Work Ethic’ To Senate

BALTIMORE — Republican Kathy Szeliga believes the candidate best suited for the US Senate seat left open by the retirement of the longest tenured female politician in US history is another strong Maryland woman.

After Szeliga won the Republican primary in April for the US Senate seat that’s been held by Democrat Barbara Mikulski since 1987, she’s been travelling the Old Line State and trying to reenergize the proverbial “Red Wave” of Republican support in a historical “blue state” that helped to elect Gov. Larry Hogan and flip a handful of delegate and state senate seats from blue to red in 2014.

Mikulski announced she would be retiring in 2015, and the announcement sparked off a slew of speculation and political maneuvering that saw Democrat Chris Van Hollen and Szeliga emerge from a huge pool of political wannabes and became the two chosen contenders from the traditional parties. Green Party candidate Margaret Flowers is also vying for Mikulski’s seat.

Despite the difference in political affiliation, Szeliga, who is a small business owner with strong ties to the Eastern Shore, says she would be honored to carry on Mikulski’s legacy.

State Hair Braiding Laws Kill Jobs, Punish Workers

Licensing requirements more burdensome for minorities, immigrants, and lower-income individuals

Occupational licensing laws kill jobs and shut entrepreneurs with modest means out of the job market due to costly requirements, according to a report from the Institute for Justice.

The report, which focuses on hair braiding, evaluates whether the act of braiding hair poses any risks that would justify requiring an occupational license and whether these licenses create barriers that keep people out of work.

Currently, there are 16 states in the United States that require hair braiders to get a cosmetology license, which involves spending between 1,000 and 2,100 hours in training and thousands of dollars on tuition. In these classes, students have to learn how to use chemical treatments and how to cut hair, tasks that have nothing to do with braiding hair.

Chat With Detectives Results In Charges

OCEAN CITY — A Delaware man was arrested on weapons charges last weekend after twice asking uniformed Ocean City Police where the party was while stopped at red lights.

Around 2:40 a.m. last Saturday, three Ocean City police officers were in their vehicle stopped at a red light at 49th Street when a red BMW pulled up next to them at the signal. The occupant in the passenger seat across from the police vehicle started a conversation with one of the officers. According to police reports, the passenger asked the OCPD detective where the party was and where the women were and the officer told the passenger 65th Street on the bayside, the location of the Public Safety Building and police headquarters.

The light turned green and traffic started moving again, but the OCPD vehicle and the red BMW were stopped again side by side at a red light at 52nd Street. Again, the passenger struck up a conversation with the officer and asked the officer if he was going to the party on 65th Street. The passenger said he and his friend were looking for girls and that they had “bottles and weed,” according to police reports.

Donald Trump’s Path to Victory

Donald Trump’s RNC speech wasn’t “dark.” It wasn’t about “spreading fear.” It was simply the truth. And Hillary’s vision of America is pure fraud, fiction and fantasy.

This morning revealed the proof…and the wreckage.

Two more policeman shot, one killed (in San Diego). Donald’s version of America is correct — there is a war on police under Obama.

And the economy isn’t in recovery. It’s in free fall- just as Trump warned. The Fed announced 2nd quarter GDP this morning at a disastrous 1.2 percent. Just as Trump reported- the economy is on the verge of collapse under Obama.

Donald Trump isn’t “dark.” He’s just telling the truth. He’s warning us before it’s too late- we re in crisis, the sky is in fact falling. Donald is a modern day Paul Revere.

Hillary made it clear last night she supports Obama’s version of America. She is officially running for a 3rd term of Obama. She is promising more of the same policies as Obama. She is Obama- Part Duex.

Great! Let’s brand her with it. Start morphing the two lovebirds into #OBAMAHILLARY.

Drunk Driver Convicted; Two Crabbers Charged

A drunk driving conviction and the charging of two crab poachers highlighted recent cases handled by the Maryland Natural Resources Police.

A Wicomico County waterman was charged last Friday with two counts of crabbing violations after officers checked the catch on his boat.

Hans Eric Kuntze, 59, of Nanticoke, received citations for possessing 97 undersized male crabs and having eight female crabs in a mixed bushel.

After an inspection revealed the violations, Kuntze told officers his crab gauge must be wrong. However, Kuntze did not take up an officer’s offer to check it. Officers seized the crabs and returned them to the water.

Kuntze is required to appear in Wicomico District Court on Sept. 6 to answer for both citations because of previous convictions for the same offenses. He also is scheduled to appear in court that day on charges filed in June that he harvested oysters out of season and violated health regulations.

Reuters Senior Democratic National Committee Officials Resign

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Three senior officials with the Democratic National Committee have resigned, the DNC said on Tuesday, amid a shake-up following a hack of thousands of emails that embarrassed the party just as it staged its national convention last week.

The resignations of DNC Chief Executive Officer Amy Dacey, Communications Director Luis Miranda, and Chief Financial Officer Brad Marshall were announced by interim chairwoman Donna Brazile.

Brazile, who took over the role after Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped down last week, did not mention the hacks or give a reason for the resignations in a statement on the reorganization, but cast the changes as looking ahead to the U.S. general election on Nov. 8.

Ocean City Water Rescues Way Down So Far This Summer

OCEAN CITY — Water rescues performed by the Ocean City Beach Patrol are down substantially this summer.

According to statistics, rescues are at a five-year-low.

Ocean City Beach Patrol Captain Melbourne “Butch” Arbin says Mother Nature is playing a huge factor in driving down what many have perceived to be problematic numbers in recent years.

“It’s been a really hot summer,” said Arbin. “When we have a lot of hot, hot heat, there is little to no wind, and when there is no wind, you have very few waves and that means very few rip currents.”

Nationwide, rip currents make up almost 80 percent of all water rescues, but in Ocean City, Arbin says the number of rip-current related water rescues is significantly higher than the national average.

DeRay Mckesson sues Baton Rouge over arrests at protest

Baltimore schools administrator and Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson has filed a class action lawsuit against Baton Rouge over the arrests of hundreds of demonstrators during the protest of a deadly police shooting last month.

Mckesson's attorney, Roy J. Rodney Jr., said he is alleging that the arrests of the protesters were illegal, and the jurisdiction must return to them their bond money and expunge any arrest records.

Mckesson, who was among the demonstrators arrested, is not seeking damages. But he wants to recoup money spent fighting what Rodney called unlawful arrests.

CITING GOVERNOR'S CLAIM OF "DECLINING REVENUES," GROUPS ASK FOR TRANSFER OF PUBLIC FUNDING FROM PRIVATE TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Annapolis, Maryland - This morning, Senator Rich Madaleno (D-Montgomery-District 18) joined ACLU of Maryland and the more than 72,000 educators of the Maryland State Education Association (MSEA) in calling on Gov. Larry Hogan to withhold $5 million set aside for private school vouchers as part of the FY2017 budget. Earlier this week, the governor claimed the state is facing declining revenues in deciding to withhold $25 million that had been set aside for public schools, yet did not decide to hold back funding reserved for private schools. The groups asked the governor to instead send the $5 million in taxpayer dollars to public schools to offset some of the damage from the cuts Gov. Hogan made earlier this week.

"If the state of Maryland cannot afford to spend taxpayer dollars on fixing aging school buildings and preventing class size increases, we certainly cannot afford to help subsidize tuition for those who are already enrolled in private schools," said Sen. Madaleno. "Budgets are about priorities, and it's disappointing that the governor is choosing to siphon funding from public schools to help private schools."

This is the second consecutive year that Gov. Hogan has decided to withhold school funding despite projected budget surpluses. Last year, he withheld $68 million passed in a bipartisan budget from thirteen counties that saw increased class sizes, eliminated educator positions, and cut programs. This year, he held back $25 million in funding that would have supported the maintenance of aging school facilities and helped counties pay for educator pensions without cutting funding levels for classroom instruction.

Great Pocomoke Fair This Weekend

POCOMOKE CITY – Southern Worcester County will again celebrate its agricultural roots with the 2016 edition of the Great Pocomoke Fair.

The annual event, held at the fairgrounds on Broad Street in Pocomoke, will feature livestock judging, harness racing, a pageant, an antique tractor pull and fireworks among many other activities. Organizers say that in spite of the variety, agriculture is the focus of the fair.

“It shows what goes on in the agriculture community,” said John Smith, a member of the board of The Great Pocomoke Fair. “A lot of your kids today, they think beef and chocolate milk comes from Walmart. Well yes it does, but where did Walmart get it?”

The fair opened Thursday but continues through Saturday night. Highlights include drag racing at 7 p.m. Friday as well as live harness racing and an antique tractor pull on Saturday. New this year is a hobby horse race, which is set for 6 p.m. Friday. Smith says participants will pay $25 for a stick horse and the chance to advance it across a numbered track. The event has been set up to raise money for the fair, which has been a staple in the community for years. The fair’s board, however, continues to dwindle and most of its members are in their 60s, Smith said.

CONFIRMED by Experts! Voting Machines in Maryland, Illinois Rigged to Support Democrats

First, it was reported that a Republican candidate running in Chicago, Illinois tried to vote for himself… Only to have the electronic Diebold voting machine cast a vote for his opponent. Unlike paper ballots, computers are only as good as the programmers setting up software, and are always open to the possibility of hackers.

Now, there is more confirmation that Democrats are working with local, partisan board of election bureaucrats to rig machines in the same way. In Maryland, where far-left Gov. Martin O’Malley – a Presidential hopeful – is in charge, it has been confirmed by experts that Democrats are getting a little extra “help” in the midterm elections:

Voting machines that switch Republican votes to Democrats are being reported in Maryland.

“When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the ‘x’ on the candidate I chose — a Republican — but it would put the ‘x’ on the Democrat candidate above it,” Donna Hamilton said.

“This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat. Sometimes it required four or five tries to get the ‘x’ to stay on my real selection,” the Frederick, Md., resident said last week.

Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem, too, personally.

“This is happening here as well. It occurred on two candidates on my machine. I am glad I checked. Many voters have reported this here as well,” Hofmann, a Republican, wrote in an email Sunday evening.

Two other Maryland voters reported the same in Anne Arundel County on Friday.

Diana West: DNC 'Put a Sharia Supremacist on Convention Center Stage'

Author and historian Diana West challenges the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) highlight of Khizr Khan at their national convention: “Don’t you people vet your speakers?”

From DianaWest.net:

Dear DNC,

Doubtless, I would reach more people if I wrote the following message in a private, hackable email, but I am concerned Russian cyber-trolls are distracted this week by heaps more breaking scandal about Hillary Clinton’s loyal services to what some people like to call “Mother Russia.” Between that Hillary-approved uranium deal transferring 20 percent of US uranium to Russian control (netting $145 million for the Clinton Foundation) and, now, her success in getting US investors to fund Russian military research in Russia’s very own “Silicon Valley,” I am afraid my little email might languish unread on some cold NSA server. If anyone in Russia is reading, though, do pass along a suggested name change for that Russian R&D hub Hillary has done so much for: “Clinticon Valley” has a wonderful ring to it, don’t you think? Or, maybe better — Clinticonovna Valley.

My subject today, though, is the Constitution-waving Khizr Khan (above), who caused such an uproar at the DNC as the father of a fallen US officer in Iraq, Capt. Humayun Khan, killed in action in 2004, that he now wishes to exit the limelight and has even scrubbed his own website, the one listing his immigration legal services in the (strictly legit!) sale of visas to foreign millionaires.

Revealing The Real Rate Of Inflation Would Crash The System

The grim reality is that real inflation is 7+% per year.

This week, I've noted that Consumer Prices Have Soared 160% Since 2001 while under-the-radar declines in value, quantity and quality are forms of Inflation Hidden in Plain Sight.

What would happen if the real rate of inflation was revealed? The entire status quo would immediately implode.Consider the immediate consequences to Social Security, interest rates and the cost of refinancing government debt.

Unbiased private-sector efforts to calculate the real rate of inflation have yielded a rate of around 7% to 13% per year, depending on the locale--many multiples of the official rate of around 1% per year.

So what happens if the status quo accepted the reality of 7+% inflation? Here are a few of the consequences:

1. Social Security beneficiaries would demand annual increases of 7+% instead of zero or near-zero annual increases. The Social Security system, which is already distributing more benefit payments that it is receiving in payroll tax revenues, would immediately go deep in the red.

(Please don't claim the SSA Trust Fund will be solvent for decades. I've dismissed the fraud of the illusory Trust Fund many times. The reality is the federal government has to borrow every dollar of deficit spending by Social Security by selling more Treasury bonds, just as it borrows every other dollar of deficit spending.)

Democrats turn to lies to avoid the economy

A contrived media firestorm takes center stage and blurs reality

The conventions are over, thank goodness. And now we enter the campaign season for the presidency of the United States. The Democrats know they can’t win on the issues, so they rely on what they know best: lies, manipulation, distractions and ghoulish cynicism.

During the past week, the nation’s dire economic situation has become undeniable, but you wouldn’t know this as the legacy media, like the good poodles they are, fixate on a contrived media firestorm involving Khzir Khan, father of a soldier killed in Iraq, and his attack on Donald Trump at the Democratic convention.

During an interview on ABC with Clinton operative George Stephanopoulous, Mr. Trump responded to a question about Mr. Khan’s comments. The premise about sacrifice was Mr. Stephanopolous’. Mr. Trump offered condolences to Mr. Khan’s family, but Mr. Stephanopolous pressed him to discuss “sacrifice.” In other words, Mr. Trump was being set up.

You may not like Mr. Trump’s answers, but there was no attack on the family, and yet the media would have you believe that Mr. Trump now hates dead soldiers and their families.

Donald Trump supporters firmly behind him despite feud with Muslim family

ASHBURN, Va. — Donald Trump’s feud with a Muslim Gold Star family may be driving GOP leaders to fits, but the Republican presidential nominee’s supporters aren’t fazed at all, saying they remain firmly behind the billionaire businessman and his tough talk on Twitter.

Mr. Trump drew a huge crowd to a rally Tuesday in the Virginia suburbs of Washington — and also attracted a sizable number of protesters dressed in traditional Muslim clothes, who said he’s gone too far in attacking their religion.

Steve Meyer, 52, echoed the views expressed by many Trump supporters at the rally when he defended Mr. Trump’s use of Twitter and blamed the news media for creating the feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the Pakistani-born parents of a decorated Muslim U.S. soldier killed in Iraq who are speaking out against Mr. Trump.

Mr. Meyer, an engineer in Ashburn, also lashed out at Republican leaders who have sided with the Khans.

Republican Mutiny Fizzles: "Trump Will Be On The Ballot"

Amid the constant headlines, speculative reporting, uncited sourcing, and relentless spin; it appears chatter of mutiny aboard the GOP has been officially squashed.

As The Hill reports, the Republican National Committee is categorically denying reports that party officials are looking into how to replace Donald Trump in case he drops out of the presidential race before Election Day...

No one at national party headquarters has been instructed to look into that doomsday scenario, RNC strategist Sean Spicer said, and speculation that the RNC might pressure Trump to drop out of the race is unfounded.

Spicer insisted that there is no chance that anyone else will be the ballot in November.

“Donald Trump is the nominee of the Republican Party full-stop,” Spicer told The Hill. “That’s the reality. The rest is just a media-pundit concoction.”

Seasonal Housing Project Eyed In Downtown OC; State Grant Sought To Help With Demo Costs

OCEAN CITY — With the seasonal housing shortage in the resort now deemed critical, Ocean City officials this week approved a grant request to help fund the demolition and redevelopment of a property on 1st Street that could add nearly 50 beds in the downtown area.

The Mayor and Council on Monday approved a request from the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC) to seek a state grant to help fund the expense of demolishing a long-vacant building on the corner of 1st Street and Baltimore Ave. The OCDC is seeking a grant totaling nearly $250,000 from the state’s Strategic Demolition-Smart Growth Impact Fund to help the current property owner move forward with a plan to demolish the existing building and replace it with a new facility including retail on the first floor and as many as 48 seasonal housing beds on the top two floors.

The property currently contains first-floor retail space along with apartments on the second and third floors. It has been vacant for over a year and the town of Ocean City has posted a “no occupancy” sign on the property due to its poor condition. The property owner’s engineer has surveyed the building and is now recommending it be demolished due to various structural deficiencies and other code issues.

The requested grant, if approved, would be applied toward the demolition cost, engineering and architectural costs for a new development, permit and impact fees and foundation work. In turn, the property owner would provide the land and construct a new project on the site.

Another Fast and Furious: Confidential Email Proves Hillary Clinton Supplied Al-Qaida with Weapons through Benghazi Embassy!

A confidential intelligence email obtained by True Pundit provides proof that President Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton created a secret and illegal alliance between the United States and a faction of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization to ultimately assassinate Libyan strongman Muammar Gaddafi and distribute weapons to Middle Eastern terror groups, intelligence sources confirm.
The March 2011 email, sent to Clinton’s private email server from intelligence consultant and long-time confidant Sidney Blumenthal, provides devastating overt and covert revelations of how the United States, under Clinton’s Dept. of State, secretly violated a number of domestic and international laws by colluding with foreign governments and the terrorist organization and its leaders to conduct rogue foreign policy. The information in the email, coupled with corroboration and background from intelligence sources, highlight egregious political and legally questionable abuses including:
*Clinton directly aligned and allied with Al-Qaeda and its fanatics to overthrow, assassinate Gaddafi.
*Clinton directly armed and commissioned known terrorists and sworn foes with weapons in Libya, a direct violation of UN Security Council resolution 1973, which called for a complete arms embargo on Libya.
*Clinton and Obama together financed Al-Qaeda to overthrow Libyan government and stockpile weapons, including tanks and heavy artillery, which were ultimately shipped from Libya to terror factions in Syria and elsewhere.
*According to intelligence sources, many of the weapons supplied to Al-Qaeda factions were believed to have be used against Americans in the Sept. 11 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two CIA operatives, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former Navy SEALs. Stevens is the first U.S. ambassador killed in an attack since Adolph Dubs was killed in 1979.

OCEAN CITY — One day after a fatal accident on Route 50 and a sinkhole on Route 90 simultaneously closed portions of the two major gateways to the resort, Mayor Rick Meehan on Monday made a continued push to make a future dualization of Route 90 a top priority.

On Sunday, a fatal accident on Route 50 at Route 589 shut down the major route into Ocean City from around 8 a.m. to roughly 11:30 a.m. Around 11 a.m., a sinkhole was discovered on Route 90 that completely closed the westbound lanes on that major artery until about 2:30 p.m. on a busy Sunday in late July. Essentially, the separate incidents overlapped to the point both major arteries were experiencing significant lane closures at the same time.

The sinkhole opened on the Route 90 Bridge over the Assawoman Bay near its approach to Ocean City. State Highway Administration (SHA) crews were on hand shortly thereafter and set up a flagging operation, directing one lane traffic in the area. Crews from SHA’s maintenance shop in Snow Hill arrived a short time later and temporarily patched the hole, which was roughly three feet by six feet, with a steel plate.

PSA: Wearing Stuff Saying 'Don't Tread On Me' Could Now Be Racial Harassment In The Workplace

So, wearing “Don’t Tread On Me” paraphernalia may constitute racial harassment in the workplace. From a 2014 complaint filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the folks who decide sift through hostile work environment claims at federal agencies, a person wearing such patriotic gear triggered “Sheldon D.” (not his real name) back in 2014. Lawyer Eugene Volokh blogged about this ridiculous case in The Washington Post, where the offended party cited the Gadsden flag as racially insensitive to blacks because its creator, Christopher Gadsden, owned slaves.

So did Thomas Jefferson. So did George Washington. You don’t see massive protests against him on President’s Day. Why? Because that would be insurmountably stupid, just like this claim, where a black liberal seems to have been trying to stifle his co-worker’s free speech rights. Heck, even the EEOC found that the flags origins are not racist, but because the flag has been associated with “racially tinged” messages as of late—an investigation can go forward. Volokh posted portions of the ruling and his legal analysis over this absurd assault of free speech:

Hannity: If Trump Loses, I Am Pointing the Finger at Ryan, McConnell, Graham, McCain, Kasich

Wednesday on his syndicated radio show, conservative talker Sean Hannity criticized several high-ranking Republicans for how they have treated their party’s nominee Donald Trump.

According to Hannity, if Trump loses in November, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will be to blame for the loss because they have spent more time criticizing Trump than President Barack Obama.

Khizr Khan Founded Islamic Journal to Defend Sharia Law

Khan defends Sharia law responsible for the executions of gays and women in 11 countries

Khizr Khan, the Muslim immigrant lawyer from Pakistan who arrived in America by way of Dubai and pulled at the heart strings of viewers of the Democratic National Convention by regaling the audience with the story of the loss of his son in Iraq, Army Captain Humayun Khan, told his son’s story but skipped over his own.

Khizr Khan entered the United States in 1980 from Dubai to attend Harvard Law School. That year saw the Central Intelligence Agency ramp up its operations in Pakistan in support of the Afghan mujaheddin against the Soviets.

The Pakistan operation was shepherded by national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, currently an outspoken opponent of Donald Trump and a bitter foe of Russia.

Obama Issues Largest Single-Day Batch of Prisoner Commutations in More Than a Century

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama on Wednesday cut short the sentences of 214 federal inmates, including 67 life sentences, in what the White House called the largest batch of commutations on a single day in more than a century.

Almost all the prisoners were serving time for nonviolent crimes related to cocaine, methamphetamine or other drugs, although a few were charged with firearms violations related to their drug activities. Almost all are men, though they represent a diverse cross-section of America geographically.

Obama's push to lessen the burden on nonviolent drug offenders reflects his long-stated view that the U.S. needs to remedy the consequences of decades of onerous sentencing requirements that put tens of thousands behind bars for far too long. Obama has used the aggressive pace of his commutations to increase pressure on Congress to pass a broader fix and to call more attention to the issue.

Obama Signals Trump Will Win

The Kenyan King resorts to desperation as Hillary falls behind

If the election was already “in the bag” for Hillary Clinton, President Obama wouldn’t be working overtime to convince the GOP to dump Trump.

Instead, he’d be encouraging Trump to speak out more if his words were helping Hillary – but that’s not the case at all.

Obama is signaling that the globalists are losing and Hillary is falling too far behind for the technocrats to rig the election in her favor.

“The president implored Republicans to un-endorse him and asked what does it say about the Republican party that Trump is their standard bearer,” Real Clear Politics reported. “Obama called on Republicans to repudiate and condemn the party’s nominee.”

In other words, the president is the Wizard of Oz panicking after Trump pulled the curtain to expose the globalists as the evil they are – and not the saviors of humanity they portray themselves to be.

It’s also revealing that Obama made his desperate declaration right after Trump warned the general election is being rigged just like the Democratic nomination, which was rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton – despite the majority of Democrats supporting Bernie Sanders.

Texas Voter ID Law Will Be Enforced in November

An agreement between the State of Texas and groups that attempted to strike down the state’s photo voter identification law came to an agreement Wednesday that will keep the election integrity policy largely in place for the November elections and thereafter.

Under the deal, voters with valid forms of photo ID or ones “expired by no more than four years” will be allowed to vote a regular ballot, according to court documents obtained by Breitbart Texas. In trade, individuals presenting a valid “voter registration certificate, certified birth certificate, a current utility bill, a bank statement, a government check, a paycheck, or any other government document that displays the voter’s name and an address and complete and sign a reasonable impediment declaration shall be permitted” to vote a regular ballot as well.

The agreement also specifies that voters declaring an inability to acquire proper photo ID in time for the election cannot be questioned by election officials unless “conclusive evidence” is presented to demonstrate that an identity is being falsified. Further, identifying documents provided at check-in do not have to match addresses shown in the registry of voters. As always, poll watchers will not be allowed to communicate with voters directly.

Israeli Firm Behind Gaza Barrier Eyes Trump’s Proposed Wall

TEL AVIV – The Israeli company that built a barrier along the Jewish state’s border with the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip is seeking to expand into the U.S. market, eyeing the possibility of aiding in the construction of a barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Magal Security Systems Ltd. built barriers along the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, and is currently bidding to construct a wall along Kenya’s border with Somalia.

“If Donald Trump makes it to the White House, Mexico could be next,” reported Bloomberg in a profile of the Israeli firm.

The news agency reported Magal is closely following the developments surrounding Donald Trump’s proposal to build a barrier along the nearly 2,000 mile-long U.S.-Mexico border.

“We would join forces with a major U.S. defense company that has experience with such projects worldwide,” the company’s CEO, Saar Koursh, told Bloomberg. “We’ve done it in the past and we would definitely want to do it.”

“The border business was down, but then came ISIS and the Syrian conflict,” Koursh said. “The world is changing and borders are coming back big-time.”

Gaffney: Obama’s Payoff to Iran Is ‘Definition of Unfit for Office’

On Wednesday’s Breitbart News Daily, SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon asked Center for Security Policy founder Frank Gaffney’s about President Obama’s declaration that Donald Trump was unfit to occupy the Oval Office – a sentiment outgoing presidents have never before expressed in such straightforward terms.

“Well, you have to evaluate the guy who’s making that claim of fitness,” Gaffney replied, adding:

Just one example, Steve: we’re learning more by the day. Yesterday, it was from The Wall Street Journal—$400 million in cash given to the Iranians, on top of something on the order of $150 billion, by this President. In this case, it appears a ransom payment. But the whole enterprise has been to promote the enemies of the United States, to enable them to obtain nuclear weapons, to become a far more serious threat, including of terrorism to this country.

“That’s the definition of unfit for office. This is national security fraud,” Gaffney declared. “And the President is hardly one to cast aspersions on other people who – among other things, Donald Trump has said this is the worst deal he’s ever seen. He’s right about that.”

Fmr Navy SEAL on Khizr Khan: There Have Been 3 Elections Since Son Was Killed - 'Part of the Clinton Machine'

Tuesday in an appearance on FBN’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” former U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six Leader Rob O’Neill pointed to the timing of Khizr Khan’s participation in presidential election politics and declared him to be “part of the Clinton machine.”

“It is unfortunate,” O’Neill said. “They shouldn’t be politicizing it. And there was no mistake he came out for the Clintons. He’s worked for the Clintons before and there have been three presidential elections since his son was killed. They could have come out for — this is one he decided to come out for. This is part of the Clinton machine. There’s no mistake that Mr. Trump was interviewed by George Stephanopoulos. He’s in the Clinton camp as well and this is how Clinton politics work as opposed to going on Hillary’s record we’re just going to how bad you are.”

ANOTHER MYSTERIOUS DEATH CONNECTED TO THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE IN LESS THAN A MONTH

FLORIDA - Another mysterious death has occurred following the July 8th murder of 27-year-old Democratic staffer Seth Conrad Rich and the death of UN official John Ashe who was scheduled to testify against the DNC and Hillary Clinton. All three men had significant ties to the DNC. Shawn Lucas made headlines recently has the Bernie Sanders supporter involved in a class action lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee and Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Video of Lucas serving the DNC with papers went viral in early July.

According to Snopes Shawn Lucas was found dead on August 4th:

We contacted Lucas' employer on 4 August 2016 to ask whether there was any truth to the rumor. According to an individual with whom we spoke at that company, Shawn Lucas died on 2 August 2016. The audibly and understandably shaken employee stated that interest in the circumstances of Lucas' death had prompted a number of phone calls and other queries, but the company had not yet ascertained any details about Lucas' cause of death and were unable to confirm anything more than the fact he had passed away.

REPORT: EXCESSIVE, WRONGHEADED MANDATORY DETENTION OF IMMIGRANTS IN MARYLAND

BALTIMORE, MD - Telling the stories of some of the people who have been placed in no-bond immigration detention in Maryland, for long periods of time and at huge taxpayer expense, without being afforded due process, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Maryland today publicly released a new report, "Detained Without Process: The Excessive Use of Mandatory Detention Against Maryland's Immigrants." The report details how many immigration detainees are held for months or years while they fight the government's attempts to deport them, without ever being provided a bond hearing in immigration court.

The report was authored by Sirine Shebaya, formerly a staff attorney with the ACLU of Maryland, and Robert Koulish, University of Maryland Joel J. Feller Research Professor of Government and Politics.

"The current system of mandatory detention is heavily stacked against immigrants who have ever made any mistake, and unnecessarily and unlawfully results in the detention of many who should be eligible for bond," said Sirine Shebaya. "Excessive use of no-bond detention appears designed to discourage people from pursuing their cases, because fighting a court battle while detained for long periods of time becomes too difficult and unbearable-even for those with strong challenges to deportation. Mandatory detention should never apply to individuals who have substantial legal challenges, a substantial claim to relief from deportation, or whose detention is likely to last for a long period of time."

**Update-Names Released** State Police Investigate Crash North of Georgetown

Georgetown- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred north of Georgetown at Donovans Salvage parking lot.

The investigation reveals the incident occurred around 2:47 p.m., Thursday August 4, 2016, as Octavio Barrios-Fuentes, 35 of Georgetown, was operating a 2001 Dodge Durango southbound on Donovans Road and failed to negotiate a sharp left curve. The Durango drove off the right side of the road and struck a 1999 Buick LeSabre parked in the parking lot of Donovans Salvage, located at 20262 Donovans Road. The initial impact between the two vehicles caused the LeSabre to rotate violently clockwise and strike Harvey T. Thornes, 36 of Millsboro as he was walking by the car, throwing him into a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, which was also parked in the lot. The LeSabre continued to rotate and strike a parked and detached food trailer that was occupied by Cynthia L. Brown, 50 of Lincoln, causing grease to spill out of the vats onto her. The Dodge Durango came to a stop on the grassy shoulder just south of the initial collision. Barrios-Fuentes then fled from the Durango down some nearby railroad track to a residence in Georgetown where he was taken into custody by troopers and Georgetown Police Department approximately 25 minutes later.

Harvey Thornes was flown to Christiana Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition with undetermined injuries.

Cynthia Brown was airlifted by State Police Aviation to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where she was admitted in stable condition with severe burns.

Octavio Barrios-Fuentes was transported to Troop4 where he was charged with two counts of Vehicular Assault 1st, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Crash, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Without a Valid License, and various other traffic related offenses. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $8,000.00 cash bond. (Photo is not available at this time)

Donovans Road in the area of the Salvage yard was closed for approximately one hour while the crash was investigated and clear.

One in 10 DNC superdelegates were registered lobbyists

Nearly one in 10 superdelegates who voted in the Democratic presidential primaries were registered lobbyists, according to a new report, adding some support to Bernie Sanders's claim that "the system is rigged."

At least 63 of 712 superdelegates were registered at some point as lobbyists on the state or federal level, according to an analysisconducted this year by the nonpartisan, nonprofit Sunlight Foundation.

These individuals represented interests that span across big banks, healthcare insurers, the telecommunications industry and unions, including Goldman Sachs and Planned Parenthood.

The list includes former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, who is currently registered for the healthcare insurance company Aetna, former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, a registered lobbyist with the Gephardt Group and former DNC General Chairman and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, who was registered for Ballard Spahr LLP as recently as 2012.

Why kids today are out of shape, disrespectful – and in charge

NEW YORK - Dr. Leonard Sax has been a family physician and psychologist for 27 years, conducting workshops around the world for parents, teachers, social workers, counselors, school psychologists and juvenile justice professionals.

He’s also a dad, and it’s from all those perspectives that he took on his fourth book, an alarm bell of sorts titled, “The Collapse of Parenting,” out recently from Basic Books.

Sax, who lives in Exton, Pennsylvania, argues that American families are facing a crisis of authority, where the kids are in charge, out of shape emotionally and physically, and suffering because of it. He calls for a reordering of family life in response.

A conversation with Dr. Leonard Sax:

The Associated Press: What exactly do you mean by a collapse of parenting?

Sax: I wrote about an office visit with a 10-year-old boy who is sitting and playing a game on his mobile phone, ignoring me and his mom as I’m talking with his mom about his stomachache. And his mom is describing his stomachache and the boy says, ‘Shut up, mom, you don’t know what you’re talking about.’ And he laughs.

That would have been very unusual in 1990 or 2000. It is now common: children, girls and boys, being disrespectful to parents, being disrespectful to one another, being disrespectful to themselves, verbally and otherwise. The mother did nothing, just looked a little embarrassed. The culture has changed in a profound way in a short period of time in ways that have really harmed kids.
