A photo of two Texas police officers doing some grocery shopping is going viral.
Rebecca Vasquez was in the check out line behind Senior Officer Bryan Knief and Cadet Officer Anthony Vacarro, who had a shopping cart full of groceries.
"It just seemed a little odd just that they were in full uniform and everything," Vasquez said.
She asked them what they were up to and if she could take their picture.
"They actually told me that they were going to be donating the entire basket to a family in need," said Vasquez.

Protecting Incompetent Teachers Fosters Income Inequality
The ground shook in California recently, and for once, it had nothing to do with shifting tectonic plates. Instead, a judge finally validated what many people have argued for years: that the union-mandated tenure rules for teachers keep poor and minority kids from getting a decent education.
This decision will not mean an overnight change in the pernicious defense of our dismal public schools by unions and their Democrat backers. However, if it survives the inevitable appeal, it could break through the logjam of job-protecting rules that doom so many of our youngsters to lifetimes of failure, crime and homelessness. That is not an exaggeration.

Texas Rep Says Military Bases ‘Turning Into Refugee Camps,’ Appeals For Help On Border
Texas officials appealed to the Obama administration on Thursday to secure the U.S.-Mexico border once and for all as waves of illegal immigrant children overwhelm the system, with one lawmaker saying U.S. military bases effectively have been transformed into camps to handle the influx.
"Our military bases are turning into refugee camps. I never thought I'd see this in the United States of America," House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said.
McCaul spoke at a field hearing he convened in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley which has seen the brunt of the migrant surge. Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has deployed state resources in a bid to boost border security, and other state officials testified at the hearing.

Is Obama acting like a former president?
It looks like we have officially entered the world of the post-Obama presidency. President Obama’s recent speeches and remarks make it obvious that he is not making any serious effort to govern or to drive world events. Except for covering the basics, he seems to have taken something like an early retirement.
We can look back at his West Point speech, which may go down in history as his first post-presidency speech, and the endpoint of an Obama foreign policy. During that speech, the president’s reflections on his foreign policy consisted of making excuses and trying to explain himself instead of conveying any forward-looking policy.
In a campaign style event last week, the president revealed even more of a state of mind that suggests he has checked out. He told the audience that he is “finding lately that I just want to say what’s on my mind.” That sounds more like an idle comment from a retired, unengaged former president than something a president in command would say. Obama then went on to petulantly declare that the reason for his failures is because Republicans “don’t do anything except block me. And call me names.” Can you imagine any other president in our history making that excuse? Remember, President Ronald Reagan had a divided government every day he was in office, but he still managed to work with Congress to pass major legislation. He certainly never whined about being called names by his critics. Neither did Bush 41, Clinton or Bush 43.

Since 1990, Real Rents Are Up 15% While Median Incomes Are Unchanged
Disposable income in America disappears
To the Fed’s Janet Yellen, runaway inflation – at least that which can not be “hedonised” away by the BLS like iPad and LCD TV prices – may be simply “noise”, which probably explains why she doesn’t rent.
But for the record number of Americans who are forced to rent as house prices are too high for the vast majority of the population while mortgage origination has tumbled to record lows (as banks can generate far higher returns on reserve by buying stocks than lending out said money), inflation is going from bad to worse. Case in point: as the WSJ shows, since 1990 asking rents – in real terms i.e., adjusted for inflation – have increased a whopping 15%. The change in median income over the same period? 0%.
This means that all else equal, the average American has 15% less disposable income after factoring rent compared to 24 years earlier.

Why Mosquitoes Bite Some People And Not Others
Mosquitoes always seem to be more attracted to some people than others, and now we know why.
According to Salon, each of the nearly 150 species of mosquitoes in the United States differ in biting persistence, habits, ability to transmit disease, flying ability -- and host preference.
Salon reports the most significant chemicals mosquitoes use to locate potential hosts include l-lactic acid, ammonia, carboxylic acids and octenol, in combination with one another.

BALTIMORE CO. MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
(Baltimore, MD) - The Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested a Baltimore County man this morning in connection with the possession of child pornography.
The accused is identified as Richard L. T. Loftice, 54, of the 800-block-of Jaydee Avenue, Dundalk, Maryland. He is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. If convicted, Loftice could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
The Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Section assisted Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents with a search warrant related to the possession and distribution of child pornography during July 2013. A forensic analysis of computers seized from the residence revealed evidence of child pornography, which led to the charges being filed.
Troopers assigned to the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested Loftice this morning. Loftice is being held pending an appearance before a Baltimore County Court commissioner for a bond hearing.
The Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is comprised of police agencies from around the state. Its primary mission is to protect children from computer-facilitated sexual exploitation. The Task Force works cooperatively with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to provide resources to combat these crimes. Additionally, the Task Force provides community awareness campaigns helping to prevent the spread of these crimes through education.

Okay, I get it’s a joke. Valerie tweeted that it was a “gag gift.” But who has a photo with people bowing to themselves in their office, even for fun?
Who even has a photo of themselves in their office??
Like you need to look at yourself, but you have no time to run to the mirror. And so there’s the photo.
Anyway, in case you’re interested, here’s the video from Meet the Press. It gives you a little behind the scenes stuff. Note that while Jarrett gets to work at 7:15 am, Obama is nowhere to be seen during the morning.

Sharp increase in homicides in D.C. blamed on domestic disputes
59 homicides up from the 38 at the same point last year
Homicides in the District are up by more than half in the first six months of the year. But unlike the days when drive-by shootings and feuds among drug gangs propelled the deadly violence, the current uptick is the result of a spike in domestic killings behind closed doors that have contributed to more female homicide victims already than in all of 2013.
Through Monday, the city recorded 59 homicides — up sharply from the 38 at the same point last year. The figure marks a drastic departure from a generally downward trend in killings in the nation’s capital over the past decade and from declines in other big cities so far this year.

Local University Targeted in Federal Probe
The Department has added the 12 colleges and universities to its growing list of educational institutions being scrutinized for their handling of sexual abuse allegations.
In May, the Department's Office for Civil Rights made public the names of schools under investigation for possible violations of Title IX, which prohibits gender discrimination at institutions receiving federal funds. It pledged to update the log on a weekly basis. The most recent version of the list was published on Wednesday, and now includes 67 schools.
The schools on the list range from small colleges to large universities, across 32 states.
Among the 12 newly added institutions are Morgan State University in Baltimore; the University of Delaware; and Elmira College in Elmira, New York.

Imagine the reaction on your child’s face if you decided to play a cruel joke on her for their birthday. Let’s say you decided that instead of giving your little girl the one thing you knew she really wanted, you decided to stuff her bag with a giant pair of mens underwear and then record her dejected reaction.
Then imagine the look on your own face if your daughter stunned you by reacting in the best way possible, lavishing thanks and praise on you for such an awesome gift.
Well, imagine no longer. Thanks to mother Jessie Eaton, we have such a scenario.

Napping can Dramatically Increase Learning, Memory, Awareness, and More | Minds
In some places, towns essentially shut down in the afternoon while everyone goes home for a siesta. Unfortunately, in the U.S.—more bound to our corporate lifestyles than our health—a mid-day nap is seen as a luxury and, in some cases, a sign of pure laziness. But before you feel guilty about that weekend snooze or falling asleep during a movie, rest assured that napping is actually good for you and a completely natural phenomena in the circadian (sleep-wake cycle) rhythm.
As our day wears on, even when we get enough sleep at night, our focus and alertness degrade. While this can be a minor inconvenience in modern times, it may have meant life or death for our ancestors. Whether you are finishing up a project for work or hunting for your livelihood, a nap can rekindle your alertness and have your neurons back up and firing on high in as little as 15 to 20 minutes.

True The Vote Sues MS Secretary of State, GOP over Cochran's Alleged Voter Fraud
Conservative election integrity organization True The Vote filed suit in federal court Tuesday against Mississippi’s Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann and the Mississippi Republican Party, asking a judge for an immediate injunction against them so that the election material from the state’s June 24 GOP primary runoff can be inspected.
The lawsuit comes as allegations that Sen. Thad Cochran’s (R-MS) campaign and his allies engaged in voter fraud to win last Tuesday’s runoff against conservative state Sen. Chris McDaniel. Cochran bested McDaniel by fewer than 7,000 votes but did so with an overwhelming turnout from liberal Democrats in the black community.

Facebook MIND CONTROL Experiment tied Department of Defense Civil Unrest Research
US Educational facilities continue to cooperate directly with military programs that do not have the best interest of the public in mind . The Agenda of the Government is becoming more and more clear. No conspiracy here this is what they are doing! It’s wrong! It has to STOP!
Facebook received funding from the Pentagon’s So called Minerva Research Initiative. Facebook Psychological Experiment tied Department of Defense Civil Unrest Research.
The Pentagon-funded Minerva program provides cash awards to everyone from “single investigators to large multi-university consortia,” according to its website and includes “researchers from 32 academic institutions, including six non-US universities and four industry or non-profit organizations.”
Results of the week-long study conducted by researchers at Facebook, Cornell University, and the University of California appeared in the June edition of the journal ‘Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists’ (PNAS) under the rather insidious title, ‘Experimental evidence of massive-scale emotional contagion through social networks’.

Driver Charged With DUI After Hitting Montgomery Co. Police Officer
SILVER SPRING, Md. (WJZ)—Officer struck. Police say a drunk driver from Baltimore hits a Montgomery County officer while he’s directing traffic, and it’s all captures on camera by a news helicopter.
Investigative reporter Mike Hellgren has that incredible video and why the officer’s reaction is drawing scrutiny.
The dramatic scene unfolded Tuesday night on the Capital Beltway. Maryland State Police shut down several lanes for a bad accident.
As a Montgomery County police officer was directing traffic at the crash, a drunk driver veered out of the channeled lane and into a lane closed off to vehicles, grazing the officer.

Megyn Kelly Delivers Knockout Punch to Libs Over Hobby Lobby
Megyn Kelly responded to the Hobby Lobby freakout by liberal woman’s activist Sandra Fluke, by saying this is not a “war on women” as Fluke says it is. “This is about the attempted war on the religious right.”
Fluke is intentionally publicizing false facts about the result of the Hobby Lobby decision to cause a stir. She forgets to mention that this is a decision upheld by a democratic order that was introduced into Congress by Bill Clinton, that states that due to religious beliefs, companies do not have to abide by all of Obamacare’s mandates.
Hobby Lobby in this instance still is providing 16 of the 20 types of birth control to its employees; it is just refusing to pay for 4 types of abortion pills that terminate an already fertilized egg.
As always, be sure you hear all the information and not just what the liberal pundits want you to know. Stay informed.

Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest
A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.
My sources say Americans should be very concerned about the secrecy of the government camps.
“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”
The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the BCFS, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.
The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”

Unarmed New Hampshire man shot in the head with a shotgun during botched drug sting
WEARE, NH — A “poorly planned” sting operation left an unarmed New Hampshire man dead; shot behind the wheel in the bloody and unnecessary War on Drugs. Despite evidence that contradicted officers’ claims about having their lives endangered, the shooters were not fired and faced no legal consequences.
The incident occurred when the small town of Weare (pop. 8,700) tasked its police department with forcibly preventing citizens from getting high without government permission. To this end, a sting operation was set up to attempt to arrest a small-time drug suspect, 35-year-old Alex Cora DeJesus.
The first attempt to arrest DeJesus failed, according to the Attorney General Joseph Foster’s investigation report, when an initial staged drug transaction netted a woman instead of DeJesus. The woman had allegedly been sent by DeJesus to pick up drugs because he was already too high to drive, foiling investigators’ plans. She was arrested, and subsequently was strong-armed into becoming an informant against DeJesus in exchange for a chance to keep her freedom.

Soldiers who served with Bergdahl haven't been contacted by probe
Former POW Bowe Bergdahl is being allowed to wander off the Texas base where he is being held as part of his 'reintegration', it has emerged.
While under supervision, the solider, who was released by the Taliban in May in exchange for five Guantanamo Bay detainees, has visited a library, a supermarket, stores and fast-food chains near to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
During the trips, Bergdahl sometimes wears civilian clothing and other times dresses in his military uniform, leading passersby to recognize him and shake his hand, an Army spokesperson told CNN.
The details have emerged as soldiers who served with Bergdahl before he left his post in Afghanistan in 2009 revealed they have still not been contacted by military investigators.

Virginia Democrat Charged With ‘Indecent Liberties With a Minor’ For Having Sex With Teen Girl in His Office
A Virginia lawmaker has been accused of having sex with a minor at his office after a grand jury issued five indictments against the Henrico Democratic Delegate.
In August, police were called to check on a 17-year-old girl by her father who was worried about her relationship with 56-year-old Joseph Morrissey.
Police found the girl with the lawmaker at his townhouse.
Morrissey denied any wrong doing, saying she was a secretary and their relationship was “appropriate and professional.”
Special Prosecutor William Neely, however, says, “He had sex with her twice in his law office and texted someone about it.”
Neely also said the victim has given “three significantly different and contradictory statements to law enforcements concerning the acts and their relationship.”

New John Mcnaughton Painting
Many Americans today feel a sense of dismay and horror as we see our country in a downward spiral; economically, morally, and politically. President Obama's indifferent attitude and the continuous list of scandals and bad policy are leading the country to ruin. As an artist I am reminded of the old saying "Nero fiddled while Rome burned." History believes that Nero himself may have set the great fire that burned a part of Rome during his leadership. Afterwards, he blamed it on the Christians who suffered great persecution under his rule. I see great similarities to what we are experiencing today. Obama fiddled, while the people witnessed the demise of America. Jon McNaughton

SPIDRE DUI TEAM HIGHLIGHTS FIRST YEAR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF IMPAIRED DRIVING PROGRAM AS BUSY JULY 4TH HOLIDAY WEEKEND APPROACHES
Transportation, Enforcement and Safety Advocates Urge Drivers Not to Drink & Drive
(JESSUP, MD) – – Maryland State Police Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Jones joined Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson, Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis, Prince George’s County Deputy Police Chief Hank Stawinski, Deputy Transportation Secretary Wilson H. Parran, Mothers Against Drunk Driving advocate Donna Hathaway Beck and other state officials and partner law enforcement agencies to highlight the accomplishments of the SPIDRE (State Police Impaired Driving Effort), an elite team of state troopers focused on reducing the number of alcohol related crashes in Maryland.
Since the targeted enforcement program was launched last May, SPIDRE teams have made 6,384 traffic stops resulting in 1,052 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) arrests and 211 criminal arrests. Funded by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office, SPIDRE focuses on reducing alcohol related crashes in Maryland by targeting areas across the state with high crash rates involving impaired drivers.
“In the last five years, 856 people were tragically killed in impaired driving-related crashes,” said Deputy Transportation Secretary Wilson H. Parran. “Sadly, every single one of these deaths was preventable. That is why we are committed to targeting impaired drivers through Operation SPIDRE -- a program that complements the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s extensive efforts to improve highway safety and help Maryland achieve the goal of zero deaths on our roadways.”
“Impaired driving is a major issue and one that all law enforcement agencies take very seriously,” said Lieutenant Jerry Jones, Commander of the Field Operations Bureau for the Maryland State Police. “This team of highly trained state troopers and their law enforcement partners have saved countless lives since inception. Together, they will continue to operate in full force over the July Fourth holiday weekend in an effort to keep Marylanders and those traveling through our state safe”.

6 Foods That Impact Your Cancer Risk
If you believe cancer is a disease that strikes from nowhere with little in your control to prevent it, you’d be mistaken on both counts. Most cases of cancer are considered preventable by positive nutrition and lifestyle choices.
Six new nutrition cancer prevention guidelines published today in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition reinforce some sound advice, but also include a surprise or two.
Cancer is a big killer of Australians, and is responsible for 30% of all deaths each year. The “big five” in order of incidence are prostate, bowel, breast, melanoma and lung cancer. Our love of the sun and smoking mostly explain the last two, but it is food, exercise and other lifestyle choices that explain much of a person’s risk of cancer.
So what do these six new cancer prevention recommendations tell us? And how much notice should we take?

Americans think sitting President Barack Obama is the nation's worst leader since the last World War, according to a poll released this morning.
A third of Americans singled-out Obama as their least favorite president since 1945 in Quinnipiac University's latest presidential poll, just ahead of George W. Bush, who received 28 percent of the vote.

Top 6 reasons Obamacare is probably illegal
Hobby Lobby ruling spotlights other constitutional problems
The Supreme Court ruling Monday that some corporations can opt out of Obamacare’s contraception coverage for women for religious reasons brings a spotlight to the health-care law’s other possible major legal challenges.
A book making the case to impeach President Obama argues Obamacare not only is unconstitutional, it illegally bypasses Congress, infringes on states’ rights and marks an unprecedented and unauthorized expansion of Internal Revenue Service power.
In “Impeachable Offenses: The Case to Remove Barack Obama from Office,” New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott quote scholars and legal organizations contending Obamacare constitutes a clear case of “taxation without representation.”
The book was released last August, but it has been getting renewed media attention amid legal challenges launched against Obama and some calls for his impeachment by prominent conservative figures.
Just last week, the South Dakota Republican Party cited the book as a basis for passing an official resolution calling for Obama’s impeachment.
