Harris Applauds Health Center Quality Improvement Grants

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of $151,616 in federal grants from the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).  Funding was obtained via HRSA’s Quality Improvement Awards, which are designed to help health centers further strengthen quality improvement activities and expand quality primary health care service delivery. HRSA’s Quality Improvement Awards recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide, as well as those health centers that have made significant quality improvements from the previous year. Health centers are recognized for achievements in various areas, including improving cost-efficient care delivery while also increasing quality of care, reducing health disparities, increasing both the number of patients served and patients’ ability to access comprehensive services, advancing the use of health information technology, and delivering patient-centered care..

Specifically, three health centers serving the Eastern Shore have been awarded funding:

West Cecil Health Center, Inc.
  • $5,750 in Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality grants
  • $21,866 in Clinical Quality Improvers grants

Choptank Community Health System, Inc.
  • $5,750 in Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality grants
  • $60,000 in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition grants

Three Lower Counties Community Services, Inc.
  • $8,250 in Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality grants
  • $50,000 in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition grants

Congressman Harris made the following statement:
“As a physician and member of the House Appropriations Committee, I applaud the award of this federal funding to our local health centers.  These grants are designed to improve efficiency in care delivery, quality of care, and reward high achieving centers – which leads to better overall health service for our consistently underserved rural areas.  These grants have my full support.”

Andy Harris is a corrupt deep State politician. Like Hogan. Republican by name only. Taking credit for what other's have done. He even helped one of his aids now delegate wife get out of two federal felonies. Look up Danielle Hornberger. Another corrupt Harris entity. Falsifying Election documents and harvesting votes in Cecil county. She gets off Scott Free. WOW. No wonder Maryland is going to shit.

9:02 I've heard about that woman. She is a Congressional liaison (what ever that is) in Annapolis. I guess Harris and hubby got her that job as well?
