Rep. Rashida Tlaib said the federal minimum wage should be raised to $20 an hour.
"Big fights like this one, $15. When we started it, it should have been $15," the Michigan Democrat said in a video posted by America Rising on Monday. "Now I think it should be $20 ... It should be $20 an hour. $18-20 an hour."
Tlaib said the higher minimum was because the cost of "a lot of things" has gone up.

Obviously Rashida has 0 comprehension of economics. Perhaps she is not capable of critical thinking.
She's probably schooled by advisors well-versed in the concept of cause and effect, who know that a jump in minimum wage will weaken the fabric, not strengthen it.

Why not make minimum wage $100.00 per hour--the sky's the limit.. Communism is what she wants--truthfully--complete gov. control and jail time for anyone who is not a believer-

One can only hope that her constituents see her as the complete waste of their votes that she is. She falls into the "What have we done?" category.
Minimum wage should not be a thing. If people were paid what they're worth, most couldn't live on that and would learn quickly how to bear down and pull their own weight and then some.

All or at least most of us who post here are reasonably intelligent and we all have a tendency to view others as reflections of ourselves. Unfortunately, that is not the case for a lot of reasons. Take for example, politicians and relationships with other countries. Different values, different morals, different attitudes regarding human rights. You will not find people in Asia or Africa, for example, that think like you do and have the same feelings as you do. People are different and the differences in races are profound. Not many want to admit that, but, prove to me that it is not true.
The largest part of the mark up from the initial pay comes from all of the government mandatory cost I have #1 income taxes #2 license and permits #3 insurances multiple types required most overlapping. That alone will make a $20 minimum wage cost $40hr. before the company makes a profit and just to be clear that's only 3 reasons all companies have much more overhead than the TOP 3
