Republicans Cruz, Kasich reach 'stop-Trump' deal

Republican White House rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich announced a deal on Sunday to stay out of each other's way in some upcoming state primaries in hopes of blocking front-runner Donald Trump from winning the party's presidential nomination.

Cruz's campaign said in a statement he would focus on the Indiana and give Kasich a clearer shot in Oregon and New Mexico, states where the Ohio governor expects to do well. Kasich, in turn, agreed to shift resources west and away from Indiana.

The Indiana primary is on May 3, Oregon's is May 17 and New Mexico's June 7.

Trump has won the most state nominating contests, but he has a tough path to earn the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination. The Cruz and Kasich campaigns believe their agreement to cede states where the other candidate appears strong could help limit Trump's ability to win more delegates.

They both need to drop out and they both can go pound sand, I'm voting Trump, Trump all the way! Vote Trump.

If the delegates elected buy into this, they are worse than both of them. This is a pathetic way as they both can not see their selves winning without deceit. That tells me a lot about them. They do not care about the people at all!! The only ones losing on this will be the Republican Party and the people.

I can't begin to describe how disgusted I am with these two, and others with the same mindset. POS would be a good term, only it would be offensive to the turd!!
Trump is the solution, not the problem!!!

Apparently they can not win on their own and have admitted that.

If this is done Hillary will win.

It's already decided.

Elections are for what the "people" want .

This just proves that Trump is the only viable option. When 2 of the three possibilities make moves to stop the 3rd, then they aren't running for president; they are blocking for president and should be forced out of the race. Trump / Carson 2016.

Just more disgusting dirty tricks by the establishment. I am ready for a third party, these people don't deserve my vote. I know everyone says a third party candidate can't win--Enter Donald Trump
Trump in the White house
Hillary in the Big house 2016

The more I see Kasich ads playing on the airwaves, the more pathetic his ploy seems. He claims he's the only one to beat Hillary Clinton, yet he's only won one state. His own. And not even by the high percentage Trump won New York. He's truly a delusional puppet of the establishment. Is this really what inspires people to vote? Failure? I would think not.
