WBOC Wants YOU To Run Their Station

Well, since it is clear they can't get it right on their own, WBOC will be holding a series of Town Hall meetings asking YOU how THEY should run their show.

Heck, the smart move would have simply been to ask SBYNews to ask these questions for them, since we have the largest local audience on the Eastern Shore.

This is nothing more than a ploy to get people with nothing better to do to come together for a meet and greet. If you really think they're going to change their ways, you're nuts.

99% of the people will say, you do way too much Delaware news. Jahelka will say, no, we've studied that and the percentage of Delaware news is a lot lower than you think. OK Craig, thanks for LISTENING and wasting every one's time.

Nevertheless, start here. Tell WBOC your "questions, concerns, comments and story ideas". This should get interesting.

Why are the town meetings in the smallest town in Delaware?

Well, since their "Meet & Greet" will be held in MILTON DELAWARE, I guess that will keep the number of people screaming to give us more MARYLAND news down to a minimum!

Nothing like fishing in a trout pond for catfish...

you report, we decide.

They report little to nothing concerning state of Maryland government or Virginia government. They seem to forget that Delmarva means, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Not all Delaware, all of the time. Their I Ideal of Maryland news is to report from the Hyatt or Long Wharf in Cambridge. What BS!!!!

I agree way too much Delaware news and the lower Eastern Shore of Virginia DOESN'T EXIST at all...A good idea would be to have reports each night concerning each county for example. "Today in Worcester Co Somerset" and so on...

I think the fact they are holding this meeting in MILTON shows the clear problem. Their city of license is SALISBURY, and SALISBURY is the center of their viewing population.

No one gives two @#$# about what happens in MILTON, nor do we care about what happens in DOVER which is barely in their fringe viewing area anyway. Anyone living in Dover is going to watch a Philly or Baltimore station for news.

Gives us news about Salisbury, Delmar, Fruitland, Hebron, Laurel, Seaford, Eden, Pocomoke, Berlin and Ocean City. REAL NEWS, not some fluff peice.

It's sad that WRDE a station based out of Lewes, DE and filmed in FLORIDA gives us better news than our local Salisbury station!!!

Jahelka needs to go the hell back to Bakersfield, CA - he's been a total disaster since day 1!

Stop the anchor from trying to give the weather before the weather person comes on. "Well it's going to be cooler out today with a chance of rain...we'll be right back with Dan Satterfield and the weather.:

Stop the worn out Johnny Janosik ad from the helicopter and the lead in that says..."but first, the people, the places and something"

If they really cared, why not have it at a central location in delmarva like Salisbury or Pocomoke City so that Virginia residents can have their say? Milford is a distance even from Salisbury to drive. More evidence that are all Delaware all the time. Even their commercials are mostly Delaware businesses. To hell with the rest of us!!!

They need to allow Directv to have Baltimore stations! Just one more reason I do NOT watch wboc. I tried to upgrade to a package that would include a Baltimore station and was told that WBOC will not allow them to add Baltimore stations. How can they dictate which package I pay for!

Idea for you WBOC, stop slanting the news to your own "feel good" opinions and actually REPORT the news factually. People want the real story and the whole story, not just the story that supports Draper's political beliefs. Maybe rename your broadcast to "The Delmarva News, a Draper/ Jahelka Opinion Story." No factual or complete reporting here. We don't believe in it!

Here is an idea watch WDMT..WBOC is to delaware centric..i live in fruitland work in Va..also grow a pair and cover the stories similar to whats on here..LOCAL POLITICS and hold our leaders feet to the fire..in otherwords DO YOUR JOB

So very sick and tired of Johnny Janosik this, Johnny Janosik that, and the history of every town on Delmarva. That stuff has been repeated so much it's old plus the fact that it is not news. We want NEWS. That means where the stabbings, robberies, thefts, etc. are happening in Salisbury - what neighborhood, what street, what house, what business. We want to know what is being built and where it is, again in Salisbury and surrounding areas, NOT Delaware. We want to know what's going on in Hebron, Mardela, Snow Hill, Salisbury, Pocomoke, etc. plus what's going on in Virginia NOT Delaware. If it's Delmar or Laurel, ok, but any further than that, we do not care. WBOC has a station in Delaware, let them report that Delaware news up there and report Maryland news from the one in Salisbury. Keep everyone up to date or CLOSE DOWN. WBOC is more like the daily times every day. Old news is just that, old.

Virginia residents who have satellite services do not have a choice to watch 16 or 47 for their news. The only local news and weather is from Hampton Roads area. How is that fair for them?? They are stuck between a rock and a hard place if you don't have internet.

They can only go so far remember they are lapdogs for the ignorant libtarded movement and CBS.(communist broadcast system) unfortunatley they will NEVER tell the truth. Misinformation, propaganda and half-truths is their ethos

They need ideas for stories from people in Milton? Can't they come up with their own? Also, I thought a town hall was mostly used for political discussions. When I heard this was happening, I thought it was about the election and candidates.

6:20..the weather man just announced that "Due to breaking news the weather has to be cut short" and then they break into Captain Willie with flashbacks and then Charlie with his travels. Breaking news is more important to us than the weather but reruns are not????

They were sending out emails for my opinion and I told them what I thought but nothing changed. Obviously...they didn't like my ideas.

If they do these small town things...will they then film them to be used for more boring filler?

Currently trying to watch situation in Baltimore. Turn to Channel 11 - blocked for "Inside Edition". Turn to Channel 13 - blocked for the CBS Evening News, really??? I have to watch the CBS Evening news on Ch 16??? Please... but whatever... block all you want (infantile in my opinion) but when major news stories break, make some kind of arrangements to remove that asinine white-out channel WBOC has forced Concast to put up.

Fact it is being held in Milton DELAWARE speaks volumes!!!! Also tried to watch coverage of the Riots in Baltimore and the only station I could get was WBAL. Salisbury reported squat!!!! They could really do better for the Maryland residents of the eastern shore!!!! Had to watch through the internet to see the situation in Baltimore. You might black out Cable, but, at least you can't block the internet! At least not yet!!!!!!

7:38, Here's what I, (and others) found interesting.

WBOC forced a black out of all Baltimore Stations through dish tv customers.

National Fox News, (seriously) had the best coverage but unfortunately the coverage went world wide.

I have seen multiple times WBOC spend their entire coverage on really stupid things thhey thought was breaking and important news. To me, this was important news.

WBOC's coverage was extremmely poor and very delayed on this matter. I mean, if I can get more up to date information, you'd think they would be well ahead of the game.

Another thing I noticed on yesterdays broadcast on their FOX channel, they actually used material from CBS news on FOX. One would think this would be an absolute no, no. They had two pieces from FOX and the third piece said, this is so and so from CBS News in Baltimore. UNBELIEVABLE.

Fox should can WBOC just for that.
