The disciplinary action occurred after severalphotographs of Ms. Mercer’s questionable demonstration was posted onto the popular image site, imgur. The pictures, taken with a student’s cell phone, clearly depict Mercer mimicking lewd gestures of questionable legal, ethical and educational value.
Mercer, who identifies as a bisexual, gender-queer woman, is a proud member of the LGBTQcommunity, claims she did nothing wrong by portraying these acts for her class, and that the students left school far more enlightened than they had been prior to the days lesson.
In an email exchange with Modern Woman Digest, Sandra Mercer insisted that her suspension was an act of bigotry, and a step back for gay rights in the workplace.

Must be the sister of the teacher out in worchester school system who pulled something similar with the teens.
I don't understand why any type of extreme measures have to be taken for sex ed. A basic explanation of the mechanics is necessary for good general health and knowledge, a non extreme introduction of the responsibility that comes with having or not having sex and just as important the implanting of knowledge that all people mature and develop at different speeds

It seems to me they want to focus to much on the pleasure part of sex and less on the responsibility and the outcome. These are not full grown adults and they are not attending a sex toy party. These are children who need to be informed of the basics.
When my 5yo asks a question I don't launch into the most biased complicated explanation I can muster. I paint with a very broad brush and if they have further questions they get answered. But they are children they do not need that level of detail and IMO they can not handle that level of detail.
This is disturbing. And what is more disturbing is that this teacher is trying to justify her actions under the guise of some right or entitlement, which it most certainly is not.
Sounds like a fun class. I was born too early.

She should be placed on the Sex Offender Registry list.
Read her explanation. She is one homo lesbian trying to justify her actions because she thinks she is entitled to "gay rights."
Put those mentally disturbed pervert back in mental institution and classify them as a mental illness.
